I'm not getting the hype about this. I tried to play one of these games and it was like playing a SNES game. Are they not even trying?

That's kind of the whole appeal/charm of the game :P

Seriously though, it's mostly the customisation options and simulating your created world that makes Fire Pro so fun. Playing it for the first time can be a bit jarring, I imagine especially so now that gaming has come so far, but once you get past that you learn to appreciate the sheer volume of options at your disposal.

The PS4 version of this pretty much lives and dies on whether or not CAW's will be easily up/downloadable online.

The PC version will be modded all to hell in no time. If PS4 isn't that easy, it's doomed. Don't have a MaxDrive like we did back in the PS2 days

Don't wanna bump the FPW:R thread.

How the fuck do I win a test of strength when me an the AI go for the same move? I would assume button mash but that never works.

Yeeeeeah. That's notoriously hard to do, on the lower difficulties button mashing IS what works.. specifically left and right on the d-pad. But at computer level 6 it's physically impossible to mash fast enough to win.
