I haven't watched the most recent episode, but quite enjoyed the first two. I'm not really digging Richard Herring yet, and hopefully the prize tasks start to improve because it felt a bit like there were 3-4 people in each episode thinking along the same lines so it fell a bit flat. Other than that, it's a strong cast and really good fun.

I also finished watching Season 6 for the first time. It's not the best season by any means, but I think Tim Vine and Liza Tarbuck added some genuinely fun laugh out loud moments like this:

Asim and Alice would have probably been fine on separate seasons, but I think it was too much for both of them to be on the same season.

I was not really liking the "put something in the bag task" but it turned out to be incredible.

Also, I highly recommend Ed Gamble's official Taskmaster podcast. Interesting to hear Alex talk this week about tasks that they cut and why they didn't feel like they felt like Taskmaster. He talks about not wanting tasks to feel like a prank show and that the joke should be on the contestants and not the public.

The only task I have ever disliked in the whole show was the Call The Pizza Place one, because those guys weren't in on the joke and had no way of backing out. I've heard Horne say since then that he regrets the ones with the general public.

I never thought about the pizza one from that perspective but that's a good call.

Yeah, there was a high-five one that was in public that he said he regrets doing.

There's a *really* awkward one in Swedish taskmaster where they have to find a member of the public who earns over £70,000 and borrow £10 from them.

Swedes are a little more comfortable talking about salary than brits, but not hugely. it was very awkward.

Hmm. Yeah, I probably wouldn't love that one. The amount almost needs to be a fair bit higher so that it's not like that bad to say that you make less.

still working my way back through previous series, and I'm struggling with series 6 more than any other.

I can't stand Russell Howard, and don't like any of the other contestants enough to counter that. Especially compared to the series 5 line-up, it's a real step down.

I don't remember series 6 being that bad tbh, but I can assure you series 7 and 9 in particular are cracking.

Series 10 is shaping up great so far too despite the social distancing weirdness and how

Spoiler

The prize round, while it has produced some great laughs, will easily go down as the most half-arsed at the rate they're going.

Saying that, in the most unsurprising news ever, Johnny Vegas is already an all-time great contestant. What a brilliant man.
