For example - I'm not greatly familiar with the editor, but I did wonder how it would work if people work for multiple companies - does the editor have function to be able to acknowledge when a company has been imported and retain all a worker's "worked for" companies? How would you work around such an issue?

When you use the importer to bring in a company there is a tick box visible that reads "Import each company's associated contracts at the same time". The way it works is:

    - You import WWE with that box ticked

    - At that point, it will go through the contracts associated with WWE and look for a wrestler of the same name. So if it finds a contract between WWE and the worker called "John Cena" in that database, it will then look if there's a worker called "John Cena" in the target database; if there isn't, it's ignored, otherwise it will import the contract and link it to that worker. Only the name needs to be identical, it's irrelevant whether they have any other similarities.

Therefore you need to have imported the workers first before you import contracts.

Your issue for this project is that it only works on hard data - it only knows that John Cena should work there if it can find a contract linking the two; the John Cena worker doesn't independently know or remember where it should be working. Therefore you'd have to have a master database that has all the contract relationships (even if the workers are literally just names and the rest of the data is just the default settings) for the importer to work with. (EDIT - So, to clarify, that means that you couldn't spread the different companies out over multiple databases, they'd have to be locked to the master database. All the other stuff you likely could spread out across multiple databases.)

Your issue with this project idea is that you're going to have to be very careful about the order that you import things (for example, you would always need to import belts after workers and companies, because otherwise they can't look for matching company and worker names), and you're going to have to make sure that all the names are exact matches throughout all the databases being created; "Undertaker" and "The Undertaker", for example, would be totally different to the importer and would throw it off.

  2. TEW is way too detailed but one of main things turning me off is the use of letters for stats in game. B+ means nothing to me, give me a number on a measurable scale. Should just be numerically rated like FM.

You can switch between numbers and grades in TEW. The game also isn't really that detailed any more - a lot of work went into streamlining TEW2013 so that you could go into detail if you wanted or keep it shallow if that was your preference.

  3. I think you might be confusing having admin status with running the game in admin mode - they are two very different things, and the former does not mean the latter is true. What you're describing is exactly what happens if you're not running as admin (the folder isn't visible to you because it isn't considered 'safe') and, as far as I'm aware, cannot be achieved any other way. I would strongly recommend that you read the FAQ pinned to the top of the Technical Support forum.

  4. Since Adam is in here, I might as well ask the question: I just messed around booking an OLLIE show like a traditional Lucha show, but still had the issue with long match times, and workers just outright sucking. My first OLLIE show lost a lot of popularity it seems.

Am I missing something in regards to booking? I don't think the limited involvement thing works the way I thought it did.

It's hard to say without seeing the booking first-hand. Limited Involvement essentially means the worker only gets in for the finish and specific spots, so his performance barely affects the rating. Perhaps you simply have the length of the matches too long and the other workers are simply not up to it either?

  5. I've booked one 2 hour show with Revolution Australia Wrestling and it was such a chore that I'm starting to have doubts about buying the ga,e. It's possibly because they're a soap opera show so I couldn't do any matches over 10 minutes, but I ended up having to book 18 segments to get the show to the minimum of 120 minutes, and ended up with angles that just re-used the same people over again due to the lack of wrestlers on the roster.

I'll probably try with a different company tonight, hopefully it'll be a bit more enjoyable.

RAW are the hardest company to book - if you read their bio, they're not even a wrestling company as such, they're driven almost entirely by angles, so that's what you have to use.

  6. Big W. Not a game store, more of a department store with a games section. From memory it said -Chuck Liddell as exclusive playable character- Ill see if i can find the add.

If you check the Undisputed website, it says that the early access pack includes "Legendary Chuck Liddell" (their quotation marks) - so it's probably safe to assume that there are 2 versions of him, the standard version with stats that are as he was just before retirement, and the "Legendary" version with killer stats. The offer you've seen is probably that.

  7. nullifying Joker's death nullifies this game's ending. They'll probably focus on Harley Quinn and maybe Clayface or another major villain to accompany Quinn.

What I could see happening, at least as more of a side mission thing, is them having Clayface still alive and taking the form of Joker again or something along those lines.

It would be nice for them to focus on another villain (I dont know who, though, since Im not big on who many of the Batman villains are). Not that these two games havent been fun with a good story, but it would suck if it just becomes a series that relies solely on the Joker/Batman dynamic.

Joker was killed off because Mark Hamill isn't doing the voice any more, so they're unlikely to bring the character back - if they were just going to hire a different actor, it would have made more sense to not have such a definitive death; they could have just had him fall into the pit and be "presumed dead" and have him come back as a rejuvenated younger version to explain the voice change, for example.

Based on what happened in Arkham City, it seems to me that the next game will revolve around Hush and Ra's as the two big threats.

Hush makes sense because they specifically used a side mission just to set up the storyline that he has Bruce Wayne's face and is heading for Gotham, and he's one of the few major threats left who hasn't yet been used.

Ra's would make sense because of Talia's death - from a storyline perspective it wasn't really needed (the final scene could have played out almost exactly the same if she'd just walked out), but it does give obvious motivation for Ra's to come back looking for revenge - especially as Batman came out carrying Joker's body at the end, not Talia's, which could be seen a disrespectful. There's also the mention in the Azrael storyline that Gotham will burn - Ra's is one of the few villains with the power to try and destroy the entire city.

I don't think Harley and Clayface are really important enough characters to be the major threats on their own - although some sort of Cult Of Joker \ stopping an attempted resurrection based around Harley's child might be interesting.

Jason Todd and Simon Hurt also still haven't been used, and could both make interesting antagonists, especially as they both know about Wayne Manor and the Batcave (which almost certainly must be in the game if it's set in Gotham itself, as strongly hinted, and would make for an obvious final stage).

  8. The game plays tons better with hotkeys, but i would wish that some events get a different key. For example i never noticed how and wen i lost the secret identety. It just got lost spamming space in a fight i was shurly about to loose.

You lose your secret identity if you don't protect it by using Appear As Civilian - you wouldn't lose it during a fight.

I think you should be able to form relations from fighting with another hero you meet while patroling. It´s a bit strange that i need to chase them down to get to know them... that just feels like a very unnatural flow of relationships forming.

You can form relationships with other people from patrolling and combat.

  9. From a few minutes playing about with the demo, the apparent inability to close windows and go through fights using the keyboard rather than the mouse is almost enough to complete destroy my interest in getting it. It was part of the problem with Wrestling Spirit - I liked the game, but the matches always took much longer than they should have with having to coax my notepad's poxy mouse-substitute-tracker-pad-thing into working every time I wanted to do a move or did a move.

You use space bar to close windows. The attacking options are all hot-keyed too. You just have to hover over the button to see a pop-up telling you what the hotkey is if you're not sure.

  10. The game is a little repetitive so far, but I haven't really taken it out for a spin too much. Ran some patrols, got my ass handed to me a few times, managed to stop PsychoSis from robbing a bank and get my face beaten in by English Rose and the mineworker guy (Major Miner I think?). There's a lot of stuff there that looks cool, but I don't think I've committed enough time to being able to access it, or I'm just doing it wrong. Are you guys also getting this many unproductive patrols and unsuccessful social interactions? Do I just really suck at this game?

Social interactions don't involve any skill as such, the outcome is dependent on your personality vs. the other person's - so a lot of unsuccessful interactions just means you have a personality that doesn't mesh well with that particular group of people.

Unproductive patrols will happen if there's a low crime rate in the area you're in (especially the first handful of days as there hasn't been time for any villains to put together schemes), so it's best to go heavy on patrols when you know there's a lot going on - or to move somewhere like Ravenholme where there's a lot of crime going on. Also, by being proactive in searching for Word On The Street you can get a better idea of when things are going to happen and be prepared for them.
