Same here. I'm pumped up for it.

They also announced that for the first year, the team won't have name or a logo and will just go by Utah.

It’ll be nice to have a local team to root for again.

Obviously it's just a trailer that should be taken with a pinch of salt and we need to see how things pan out in game but it certainly looks very busy. As unwanted a comparison as it might be, it puts me in mind of something like AC Unity which always had lots of NPC's around.

Certainly the setting does bring something of a brighter tone too which would be welcome after V and IV before it. Whilst I'm cautiously optimistic, there's the elephant in the room of how much the multiplayer component will potentially overshadow the single player side. We've already seen that despite various re-releases, they've shown no interest in doing any single player DLC for V and would much rather milk everyone for more shark card money.

For my sins I still haven't played RDR2 but how would people say that the multiplayer affected that? I guess I'm wary that going into V the multiplayer was always a side thing and didn't even come out until a month or two in, but now this is being developed in a world where they know the vast money they make on it so the worry is that will be the main focus. I've always heard good things about the single player for RDR2 and bad about the multi so I suppose that's a good sign?

They’ve kinda moved on from shark cards to the GTA+ subscription money as their goal. Depending on how heavily that influence is in 6, will determine how likely I am to buy early.

  3. So I started playing this, and I really should’ve started sooner. The various elder scrolls games didn’t do much for me as I’m not really into the whole swords & sorcery thing, but I’m enjoying this so far. It’s nice to be able to persuade folks out of a relatively big fight. Even if it kills some of the drama.

  4. I'm not the biggest country music fan these days. Most of what I do listen to is 90s and earlier, Brad Paisley's Mud on the Tires is a rough stopping point of my fandom. When I do listen to country these days its pre-Faith Tim McGraw, Clint Black, and Charley Pride. Still listen to a lot of Statler Brothers because they were my mom's favorite group and admittedly had a lot of really good stuff.  Can't really stand most modern twangy pop country.

For the record I'd appreciate if you didn't besmirch the good name of Conway Twitty.

How is the single player mode?

I always loved the NFS series, but the last one I played, there was a point where it went "You finished the single player game, play online to advance", then I deleted it

Haven’t finished single player, but it’s not bad. I like that it’s a game where it’s more about knowing your car than necessary having whatever the ‘best’ car is.

So far it’s been enjoyable, not sure I’ll be keeping the game installed long after finishing single player though. It scratches the arcade racer itch, admittedly I have high hopes for the Crew: Motorfest as a Forza Horizon competitor. My wife likes NFS though so it may get more play than I expect.

  6. The Show 23 RTTS as a slick fielding 2B who can make pretty nice contact.

Forza Horizon 5 really enjoying the Caddy CT5 Blackwing, rally adventure will have a little more staying power than hot wheels for me.

GTAO because why not. Making the various freeroam business available in invite only made the game more enjoyable for me.

Just finished the tutorial for Midnight Sun's and this game is delightful!

I picked it up this weekend myself, I’m enjoying it immensely. Not quite what I was expecting but I didn’t pay too close of attention before it released.

I'd say go for Sword/Shield for the more linear story like the older games, or go Scarlet/Violet for a more open-world playthrough which may be marred by glitchy hilarity. Both still have regular player bases and you can interact with them. Sword/Shield also has some fun buyable DLC.

I'd say avoid Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee and Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl unless you purely want a nostalgia fix (which they might not achieve).

If you're open to something unusual, I recommend Arceus Legends. Hit my nostalgia buttons and felt open, fun and a little bit dare I say, fresh. This one is very non-community oriented though. The inventory system sucks massive Ultra Balls though.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I came here to say I just learned that the word "Nuzlocke" is a Lost reference.

To be honest, I’m probably going scarlet/violet to get a dachsbun. Maybe which I get doesn’t matter so much being this late to the party. But if most have scarlet then violet makes the most sense, and vice versa.

  9. It’s been a long time since I acquired a WWE game. Maybe when 2k16 was on games with gold. I picked this up after reading about it here. Definitely a worthwhile purchase, MyRise has been entertaining, looking forward to grabbing some CAWs and playing through universe and showcase.
