  4. Just picked up a DSi and Pokemon White so going to give it a whirl over the coming days.

Will have to set up my wireless to WEP though to be able to connect!

Also does the DSi have a infrared port?

  5. So after having my DS stolen last year I've not really got around to replacing it. I'm thinking about getting a DS Lite (I don't really need a camera and the 3D version isn't something which really appeals to me) but reckon come next Friday when 3DS is out the Lite is going to go cheaper than the £69.99 its selling for now.

Any games that can be picked up rather cheaply I've missed in recent months that I should pick up.

  6. still got this in the wrapping as it unfortunately joined my vast back-log of games. Might whip it out this weekend and give it a whirl! Hopefully it's a bit different to UFC Undisputed, loved it but don't want to be playing a carbon copy.

  7. Also, echo the want of more point and clicks. Another Broken Sword. A remake or sequel to Grim Fandango. Just a game where I have to use a ridiculous combination of items to open a door or something.

There are a few on the DS, Hotel Dusk: Room 215, Secret Files: Tunguska & Professor Layton come to mind.

  8. I Will be Picking It Up, For a New Wrestling Game on the Market it shall be interesting how the game plays out. Yeah It doesn't have the same features of SDvsRAW but in some aspects good, if this was a blatant ripoff of the SD Franchise just with TNA wrestlers it wouldn't be a unique game.

We all know there aren't that many features in the first ever game of the franchise. This is a game which had been built from the bottom up. Not many games could create something like this in their first outing. For IGN to basically compare the game nonstop against the SD Series is completely unfair with SD being around since the PS1 and the engine being created before that for Japanese Wrestling Games obviously TNA Impact! isn't going to be the same standard for another couple of years while Midway creates their own game adding features along the way and building up on their now Code which they have created for the game.

in the Xbox360 Review which I shall be picking up, they gave it a 6.7, which doesn't sound too good but when you look at the other scores for it, with everything getting 7.0's, 7.5's and 8.5's why after all of that they give it an overall 6.7? The Lasting appeal was given 6.5 but i think with the Storymode only being short yeah that is a downfall but at least it has a structured Story Mode. Online play shall be fun especially if the TNA Superstars keep to their word of playing it online alot. But if you add all the raitings on the xbox360 review and then give it an average it scores a 7.3.

Anyway Give What Judgement you want, but with a Niche Market in the Video Games Industry and just having SDvsRAW especially for the UK having a new game enter shall be breath of fresh air for gamers. DLC of Wrestlers with Petey Williams and Curry Man will be an added bonus and you could argue it is a exclusive feature that SDvsRAw doesn't have. I'll be gettting mine on Friday and as an avid Gamer/Journalist for Gaming I shall be leaving my own opinions to be decided once I play it.

  9. Southampton Fan here. i really think we are going to struggle if we don't bring in some players soon. Loosing out to Derby in the Semi-Final was tough last season but with loosing Bale to Spurs, we haven't got another decent left back at the moment. Skacel played quite well there the last couple of matches of last season and hopefully can do the job until we bring in someone else.

Saganowski no one knows whether he has signed or not. the Toyes website said we have, BBC said we have, the saints site says no word on it yet and Saga said he hasn't signed anything yet. How confusing is that?

Add to the facts that we are loosing Best and Crainie for Free is a big blow as well.

Going to be a tough season.

  10. Southampton bought Marek Saganowski for £650,000 according to Toyres website. Blimmin Bargin in my opinion will definately get us the goals next season. Him and Rasiak upfront should be a force to be reckoned with in the championship

Has The Rebirth of ECW Been a Success So Far?

Since One Night Stand the WWE has been running Extreme Championship Wrestling as their third brand, expanding their already well acclaimed RAW and Smackdown Brands. Now obviously this was quite a risky move by Vince McMahon with both One Night Stand PPV's selling shed loads than normal WWE PPVs but with the prospect or more TV Time for the WWE and for the WWE to expand as a company Vince has been persuaded to bring back the old franchise. The ball was dropped though when before the announcement of the ECW Brand the WWE website announced the signings of many old ECW Talent and it wasn't long before everyone guessed where this mass signing spree was going.

But now after a month of the ECW Brand and with the Hardcore TV shows selling out most arena's it's visiting it's time for 411mania.com to really find out and ask the audience whether the rebirth of ECW has been a success. One of the main points which has been raised the last few weeks is that the Extreme Championship Wrestling brand is basically a flashback to 2000. What I mean is that the roster if you look at it is basically the same people. The likes of RVD, Rhino and Taz main eventing. The Impact Players, Doring & Roadkill, The FBI, The BWO all in the Tag Team Division. Tommy Dreamer, Sabu, Mike Awesome, Sandman the list goes on. I know the WWE wanted to bring back the ECW feel but by filling the roster with the same guys who wrestled in 2000 for the company isn't what I myself had in mind.

Okay we have seen the impressive CM Punk join the ranks and only last week Rodriguez and Reyes joined the brand but 411mania.com feels that alot more new talent should be brought up and bolster the brand bringing a fresh feel of it. After all down in OVW we have the talents such as Test, Sonny Siaki, Monty Brown, Rob Conway, Sylvan that could easily be brought into the brand and pushed as Main Event and Midcard talents. Everyone expected some new faces when WWE.com announced the signings of Sexxxy Eddy, Chris Hero, Bryan Danielson, and don't get me wrong having the likes of Trent Acid and Frankie Kazarian brought straight into the brand was a good move but putting them in with ECW veterans like the b.W.o and The Extreme Horsemen didn't really feel like they were new stars on the brand and just "superstars" in the factions.

Having the main feud in ECW for the World Title between Rob Van Dam, Rhino and Taz is just solidifying out point that the ECW is just what Heyman was running in 2000. Like we said if Heyman, McMahon and the writers actually thought about it they could've easily brought in new talent to become house hold names, battiling it out for the ECW World Title and even move later on in the future to Smackdown and RAW as McMahon, even though he won't admit it, sees the ECW brand as more of a tougher development brand where writers can experiment different people without having to worry about taking up valuable air time of the flagship shows.

But that said with the last few weeks of Hardcore TV, the arenas throughout the tours have been almost sold out with fans flocking to each arena to watch the new ECW Brand. The ratings have been superb and it looks like the ECW Brand is definately here for the long run. But like we said before 411mania.com believes that the ECW Brand needs a few fresh faces to epitomise what the new ECW is all about. And with there tour of Europe after Vengeance it shall be interesting to see whether ECW is success overseas than it has been in the States.

Tell us here at 411mania.com what you really think about the new ECW Brand. Does it need new faces? Will it survive? Or do you just wish it would die again like 2001? Your thoughts are more than welcome and we look forward to hear from you.

  12. This just got alot bigger. TNA With Primetime congrats but what a way of bringing in Chris Jericho to announce the news as well as debut. Keep up the good work mate, i loved the debut of Billy Kidman in Nash's new Generation of Superstars definately going to be a good stable.

This has got to be one of the best diarys at the moment in the Dome and hope it continues for a while. Congrats!

Ghetto Boys Debut Success? ECW Writers Confused? Wrestler Released? SD Match Leaked?

    >>>>The Debut of The Ghetto Boys this past week on Hardcore TV has been hailed a huge success by everyone backstage. There are reports that it's the WWE's dig at TNA's L.A.X group, with Rodriguez played by Homicide already been in the L.A.X group he came to the ring basically in the same attire that he wore with his stint in LAX such as the bandanas over his mouth. The decision to put Alicia Webb with them was a last minutes decision with the writers wanting to put her in it and then not and then when they realised neither men could really cut a promo they added Webb as the main mouth piece for the group. Even though the team are meant to be one of the top heel teams in ECW they got quite a good reaction with the crowd and is a problem. Expect them to start a programme with the losing team of the BWO / Extreme Horsemen feud which is expected to end at Vengeance.

    >>>>Since signing Rhino to a contract a month ago the ECW Writers have been confused on what to do with him. It was seen as quite a rushed decision to sign Rhino after they found out his TNA deal had ran out due to the fact that Chris Jericho broke his leg in a training accident and they needed another Main Event star to step straight in and take the centre spot along with Taz and RVD. Storm was obviously being pushed as a Main Event star with his battle with Jericho but due to the injury the writers had to put Storm back in the Tag Team Division and kept him happy by putting the tag straps on him and Credible. The ECW Writers wanted to push Taz vs RVD hard for Vengeance but now with Rhino being involved the last couple of weeks it is expected that the match shall be changed into a three way for the title with Rhino being the go between taking on both Taz and RVD. The feud built up between RVD and Taz since One Night Stand is expected to be blown off the week after Vengeance on Hardcore TV.

    >>>>Rumours Circulating backstage is that Massato Tanaka requested his release from the company. WWE officials learnt that Tanaka hasn't really been happy with the heavy schedule since signing permanently after One Night Stand. After a meeting and lengthy discussions the WWE granted his wish and then posted on WWE.com that they had released Tanaka from his contract and wished him the best for his future. It is expected that he shall be starting his Japan commitments again and was deemed surplus to requirements within the WWE.

    >>>>Along with the Chris Benoit/Bobby Lashley vs Kings of the Ring (Orton and Booker T) match confirmed for SD this week WWE.com is also advertising Matt Hardy vs John Bradshaw Layfield in a Non Title match up. It is expected it shall be dubbed as a Vengeance Preview match and then next week we shall see JBL vs Mr Kennedy in a Non Title Match. The SD Writers are pushing that the Triple Threat Match at Vegeance be one of the main focuses of the PPV and it is rumoured that a new champion shall be crowned as they believe that JBL is too "big" a superstar for the US Title and that he should be in the Main Event Picture.

    >>>>As you saw last week on Smackdown The Undertaker shall be making his long awaited return at Vengeance. We haven't seen the deadman in a while as he has been recuperating from injuries.Apparently the SD Writers are not sure which Gimmick to return Taker in, with the video showing all different gimmicks the Undertaker has portrayed. McMahon is pushing for a return of the American Badass but Stephanie wants him to return as the Old School Deadman Gimmick. More on this as we get it.

  14. great Diary Man, If You Want me to do more Posters and Graphics throughout just gimme a shout and ill be more than happy.

I'm only doing reasons for TNA as the diary is mainly being focused on them. I will predict the WWE but no reasons.

Jushin Liger, Yoshihiro Tajiri, Milano Collection AT, and Minoru vs. Austin Starr, Alex Shelley, Chris Sabin, and Christopher Daniels

I'm thinking that Daniels will somehow not do anything in the match and lead to him being kicked out of Team USA.

Nicho El Millionaro & Joey Matthews vs. Sonjay Dutt & Jay Lethal

Dutt and Lethal will win with a DQ due to another person of Nash's army running in causing the DQ.

Bryan Danielson & Samoa Joe vs. LAX

Joe and Danielson on the same page is definately going to be a stella match especially against Homicide, the only thing which could bring the raiting down is hernandez

    Kurt Angle vs. AJ Styles

proof that AJ Styles is a top contender by defeating one of the biggest stars in TNA

Team 3D © vs. The Steiner Brothers for the TNA World Tag Titles

Don't really care about this match which is a shame baring in mind its for the title.

Carlos Colon © vs. Rhino vs. Christian Cage for the TNA World Heavyweight Title

Can see Colon cheating to win, or letting Cage and Rhino beat each other senseless before stealing the pin and retaining the title.

    SUMMERSLAM

Chavo Guerrero © vs. Paul London vs. Brian Kendrick for the WWE Cruiserweight Title

Chris Benoit (3) vs. King Booker (3) in the Best of Seven decider

Cade & Murdoch © vs. Val Venis & Viscera for the WWE Tag Titles

Santino Marella © vs. Randy Orton for the WWE Intercontinental Title

    Edge vs. Matt Hardy

MVP © vs. Jimmy Wang Yang for the United States Title

Bobby Lashley © vs. Mr. McMahon for the ECW World Heavyweight Title

The Great Khali © vs. John Cena for the WWE Title

    ECW Hardcore TV Results!!!

The opening video for ECW hits and then we get a video package of what happened last week in the main event between The Extreme Horsemen, The BWO and The Impact Players for the ECW Tag Team Titles. The Video ends with the Impact Players being crowned the new Tag Champs and posing in traditional Impact Pose.

    Ready To Make an Impact

We then cut straight to the back where Justin Credible and Lance Storm are in front of the camera with the Tag Straps draped over there shoulders. For some reason there’s no Dawn Marie this week no reason why she isn’t here. Justin takes over the talking duties this weeks and make’s the statement that these Tag team title belts around their shoulders truly signifies that The Impact Players are the most important tag team in Extreme Championship Wrestling. Justin goes onto say that they shall be fighting champions and that is why 1 week after winning the titles they are willing to put them on the line against the Full Blooded Italians. Lance Storm then takes over and tells everyone in ECW to take notice because before Chris Jericho ran away from ECW, they were about to make an Impact in ECW like no one else and that is Just Incredible.

    66%

Pure and Simple – I’m Better Than Anyone

We then cut to the ring and instead of our first match of the night, the music of The Straight Edge Warrior CM Punk hits the speakers and the crowd are on their feet in disgust for the cocky newcomer to ECW. He has his usual black hoody on and his yellow ¾ length shorts. He grabs a mic inside the ring and the crowd let the newcomer know he’s not welcome in the ECW ring. Punk can definitely cut a promo as he talks about his success in other promotions, not mentioning any names in particular but does say about how he was the World Champion and proved to the world then that he was the best and that is why the WWE came knocking. Punk tells the whole of the arena that he didn’t want to be apart of ECW he wanted to thrive on the competition in the WWE rather than this Hardcore Junk we are seeing tonight.

He then goes on to say that Tommy Dreamer is too scared to turn up tonight in his own ECW. Punk makes the statement that Dreamer has realised that being Straight Edged definitely makes Punk better than him and anyone else in this pathetic promotion. Punk tells the fans that they don’t know what true wrestling is about and he is trying to teach them when they see proper wrestling rather than people being hit over the head with chairs or put through tables. Punk then says next week he wants Dreamer to find a tag team partner because Punk already has one lined up and calls him a Suplex Machine. Hmmm I wonder who that could be. Punk then continues to say that being straight edged is pure and simple; it makes him better than anyone.

The FBI vs Impact Players © (ECW Tag Titles)

A great matchup between the two ECW Veteran Tag Teams and what a match to have for your first tag title defence. At one moment we almost had new tag team champions when Little Guido hit the Sicilian Slice on Justin Credible but Storm broke up the count at 2. The crowd were quite into this but it was the first match of the night and they were still hyped with the CM Punk interview. Credible used the Kendo stick to his advantage taking out Big Vito at ringside who was helping Mamaluke get the tag. Guido went airborne taking out Vito, Mamaluke, Credible and Storm ringside with a flipping suicide dive off the top rope. As the carnage got back into the ring the Tag Champs landed simulatenous Super Kicks on The FBI and Storm locked in the Canadian Maple Leaf on Mamaluke for the Submission Victory. The crowd were half booing and half cheering for the Tag Champs as they did the Impact Player’s Pose in the ring with the title belts before heading back up the rampway as we go to a commercial break.

    Hardcore TV! Preview

In a rematch from last week The Man Beast Rhino has challenged Rob Van Dam to another singles match to prove that he can beat RVD but this time it shall be under Extreme Rules! Last week RVD proved the better jumping the Gore and connecting with a 5 Star but straight after the matchup Rhino got up in anger and landed a devastating Gore to one of the contenders for the ECW World Title at Vengeance. After the match Taz made his way down the ramp and went face to face with Rhino before locking in the Tazmission on the already weakened RVD. Will Rhino get his win this week and will Taz make his presence felt again?

Talking of Last week The Impact Players were crowned the New ECW Tag Team Champions! After a night of matches the main event left bitter enemies the Blue World Order and The Extreme Horsemen alongside The Impact Players in a ladder match for the Tag Straps. As the match swayed in favour for each team during the time it was the war between the two tag teams which proved the fatal blow as The Impact Players were left in the ring to claim the gold and be crowned the new champions. The Impact Players have declared that they shall be fighting champions and this week they defend the titles against the team of Little Guido and Tony Mamaluke, The FBI! Will their reign fall short at the first defence or will they prove to the world why they are one of the most legendary tag teams in the wrestling industry?

Continuing the war between the Blue World Order and The Extreme Horsemen, ECW Owner Paul Heyman has sanctioned a Tag Team matchup between Da New Blue Guy Trent Acid, Big Stevie Cool and Frankie Kazarian and Extreme Horsemen leader Simon Diamond. Will this feud finally be settled this week or will the masked man who has been helping The Extreme Horsemen make his presence felt once again and prove the difference maker?

The on going war with The Innovator of Violence Tommy Dreamer and the Straight Edged newcomer CM Punk is still escalating. Punk has vowed that being straight edged makes him better than anyone on the ECW Roster and has even refused to revert to the ECW Way of using Weapons. Last Week he defeated Blue Nova and then interfered in the end of the Tommy Dreamer, Mike Awesome match up. Dreamer managed to roll out of the ring before Punk could lock in the Anaconda Vice and then Dreamer cleared the ring of Punk coming back with his Kendo Stick. This week Dreamer has the week off and Punk is trying his Straight Edged ways against the Homicidal, Suicidal, Genocidal, Death Defying Maniac Sabu! Sabu a ECW Veteran has a reputation of using Chairs throughout his matches will Punk prove that being Straight Edged and not using any weapons makes him better than Sabu or will Sabu do what each ECW Original has failed to do so far and take Punk to the Extreme? All this and much more only on Hardcore TV!

    Confirmed Matches

The FBI (Little Guido & Tony Mamaluke) vs The Impact Players © (Lance Storm & Justin Credible) - ECW Tag Team Title Match

Title Change? SD Draft Picks Leaked? Ghetto Boys Debuting Soon?

    >>>>Homicide and Ricky Reyes lost the OVW Tag Team Titles last night to the team of Mark and Jay Briscoe in a tremendous 30minute tag team match which sent the roof off the OVW Arena. It is expected that they shall be debuting this week on Hardcore TV. Homicide is expected to be renamed Rodriguez and Ricky Reyes is being shortened to Reyes to portray the "Ghetto" style. There is talk of having Alicia Webb come up with the team to have a mouth piece but whether that happens is yet to be seen. Heyman is high on both men's work ethic and they are expected to go straight into the tag team division. The feud between The New Extreme Horsemen and The b.W.o is expected to finish this week with the winner of that feud going after the new tag champs The Impact Players. It is not known where The Ghetto Boys will go in this programme at the current time.

    >>>>For a couple of minutes on the WWE.com Website today ECW Wrestler Mike Awesome was shown on the Smackdown Roster Page along with RAW Wrestler Chris Masters. It is not know whether these two men shall be the draft picks but after noticing the mistake they were immediately removed from the page. With the draft being not until Vengeance 3 weeks away it is yet to be seen if these two men shall play a big part of there current brand.

    >>>>Expect to see Val Venis and Chavo Guerrero win the Tag Team Titles this week. The fans have been resenting the Spirit Squad the last few weeks and not really caring about the Tag Team titles. After there match this week it is rumoured that The Spirit Squad shall become no more and each wrestler shall revert to there normal names but stick in a group. They want the group to become a "New Wave" gimmick with Ken Doane becoming the Leader, Michael Modest and Johnny Jeter becoming a tag team and Bradley Jay being the Enforcer and Chris Idol being the Mouthpiece as usual. Whether they make an immediate change or kept off TV for awhile is not clear yet.

Vengeance Main Event Not As Expected

No opening video or music this week as we are immediately inside the ring where Vince McMahon is standing alongside him are the WWE Champ John Cena and the IC Champ Shelton Benjamin. The crowd are letting them know there not welcome but Vince tells them to Shut Up in his usual angry voice but that just gets a bigger reaction from the crowd. Vince then goes onto say that he knows everyone in this arena wants to see John Cena defend the WWE Title against Triple H at Vengeance, and with that the crowd give a approvingly loud cheer. Vince tells them all that he has other plans because Cena will not be defending the title against HHH and also Shelton wont be defending against Carlito at Vengeance. The crowd sound there disappointment as Vince goes on to say that at Vengeance it shall be Triple H and Carlito teaming up against the WWE Champ John Cena and the IC Champ Carlito and there will be a special referee for that match and that man shall be Vincent Kennedy McMahon! The trio inside the ring celebrate with the blockbuster main event announced for Vengeance and the crowd are on there feet not in celebration but in disapproval.

    Kenny vs Val Venis

A fairly decent match up between the two competitors but the crowds reaction was pretty flat due to the announcement before. The two men put on a very technical match up with Val coming close to the victory with the spinning powerbomb but Kenny managed to kick out at the count of two. Kenny landed a spinning wheel kick and went up top for the Flying Leg Drop but Val moved at the last moment stalked Kenny and flattened one half of the tag team champions with a Spinebuster, he went up top and landed The Money Shot for the 1....2...3! Val just pinned one half of the Tag Team Champions! But before he can celebrate the other half of the Tag Champs Mikey slides into the ring and flattens Val with the tag team belt. Kenny gets back up and the two Tag Champs stomp away on the victor, with Johnny, Bradley and Chrissie all blocking the rampway incase Chavo makes way. Mikey holds onto Val as Kenny hops onto the top rope, suddenly the crowd cheer as Chavo runs down with a steel chair and the three blocking the rampway make a quick getaway and Chavo slides into the ring clearing Mikey and Kenny from causing anymore damage. Chavo tends to Venis as The Spirit Squad on top of the rampway look pleased at there beatdown.

    The Heartbreak Kid Halted

Coming back from the commercial break and the familiar tune for HBK hits the speakers and the crowd are going crazy as out struts the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels. He makes his way down to the ring and grabs a mic. He talks about how he helped make this company what it is today and then you get audacity of Shane McMahon coming out and trying to make his life a living hell. Shawn says that he knows Rene Dupree is just a pawn in this whole game and that’s why he isn’t going to call him out instead he’s calling out Shane McMahon. Here comes the Money hits the speakers as out walks the Chairman’s son to a volley of boos from the crowd. Shane stops at the bottom of the rampway looking at Shawn Michaels and Shane seems hesitant to get into the ring, the crowd are booing louder, not for Shane but Rene who has snuck into the ring the back way and is now waiting for Shawn to turn around. Shane slowly walks up the steel steps and Michaels backs up a couple of steps straight into a clothesline to the back of the head from Dupree! Shane quickly makes his way into the ring and stomps away on Michaels, the crowd are chanting for a fight back but Dupree quickly slides out grabs a steel chair and gets back into the ring. Shane holds up HBK as Dupree measures the shot, swings and connects with the skull of Michaels. Dupree drops the Chair on the canvas and Shane throws the limp body of Shawn Michaels into Dupree’s grip lifting him up onto his shoulders and landing the French Connection Death Valley Driver onto the Steel Chair! Shawn has been busted open and is unconscious as Shane grabs the mic telling Shawn that Dupree’s not too bad for a so called Pawn. They leave the ring as medics are now attending to HBK.

Shawn Michaels lost 2 points of overness from this segment.
