The ROSTER:
SmackDown vs. RAW 2006 Rosters and venues Confirmed(ign.com)
THQ has also confirmed the locations of its 19 different venues. Though it's still possible that a 20th bonus arena may still be included, 19 of them are definitely making the cut. What are they you ask? Well in no particular order they are: SmackDown, RAW, Velocity, HEAT, SummerSlam, Unforgiven, No Mercy, Survivor Series, Armageddon, Royal Rumble, No Way Out, WrestleMania 21, Backlash, Judgment Day, Vengeance, The Great American Bash, New Year's Revolution, ECW One Night Stand, and Taboo Tuesday. Sound good? Cool.
This year's character collection is one of the biggest yet seen in a wrestling game thus far -- with 50 different superstars and divas in all, and an undisclosed amount of legends to be revealed later. If that sounds like a lot, that's because it is.

I really hope this is true. But I like many many others have been hearing this same thing for over 10 years now. How many freaking "rumored" release dates does this album have? I can remember hearing: Early 95, Summer 96, Fall 97, Middle of 99, Summer 2001, Fall 2002, Nov. 2004, and now 2005.
Somehow the only way I really think we will ever see this album is if Axl dies and they release it posthumous (like they did with all that Jimi Hendrix material)

This was probably already mentioned but Mystery Science Theater 3000..... oh how I miss that show.

A Day in the life, and Elenor Rigby among others.

"His... Wolf dork?"
Ha ha loved this movie as a kid. Haven't seen it in years but I remember it being a heck of alot of fun. I'll have to pick up the DVD when it's released.

Which legends are open from the start?they removed the cool stat feature, most of the titles, abilty to switch brands, assign Face/heel and worst of all,... you can only have one f'n CAW in a season at a time!
So the brands are completely locked? Can you not unlock the ability to edit them?
Can created belts be used in season mode?
Also are any of the pre-mades in CAW mode dangerously like people who aren't in the game?

I got the game today, so here are some short thoughts...
The gameplay is pretty much the same (which IMO is pretty fun) It's lacking in new match types, only new ones are the Parking Lot brawl and 6-man tag Elimination Chamber (which is great actually) the Face/Heel meter is a nice new twist, but the mini-games seem forced and pointless.
The season mode really pisses me off. As most probably know by now there are not alot of a story choices, the voice overs blow, they removed the cool stat feature, most of the titles, abilty to switch brands, assign Face/heel and worst of all,... you can only have one f'n CAW in a season at a time! Totally awful, like they were actually trying to ruin the fun I had in the HCTP season mode
Speaking of CAW, seems like less choices than before... it's still pretty good though. An ok amount of new moves but nothing that great really.
So far in CAW, I have made a super crappy Super Dragon (there is a decent Violence Party type move on the ropes) an "eh" American Dragon, a lacking Scott Lost and just started on Chris Hero (there is a cravate!) hopefully I'd get better at it as time progresses.
Overall, if you liked the last few games. Despite the many flaws, I guess you may as well pick this up... it's really great for multiplayer if nothing else (I just hope it doesn't ruin my PS2 like the last SD game did. Damn that "grinding glitch")

Right now it's Radio Los Santos and Radio X. Though I still need to spend more time with the other stations

To those that already have GTA (or those who don't - if you know anyway) how does the facial hair work in the game? I've seen pics in which he has different styles, so can it be easily changed like the way haircuts happen in the game? Are there a wide range of styles? (And the same question for haircuts as well)
Also how does the burgling play out? Do you get good money for it?
-
Anyone else already quickly max out the muscles bar? Yeah, I'm damn good with those weights.
does your body change when you max out on the muscles? I've wondered if you let your fat bar get high, you'll end up lookin' like big smoke, but if you work out all the time, you'll get bigger muscles, anyone know?

Yay, I just got it... now to go into hiding for a week untill SD Vs. RAW comes out.
-
Any Ernest movie. That sucka is badass.
-
Though I'm looking forward to this game, I agree that it does kinda seem half-assed (that main roster totally blows. One of the weakest I've ever seen. Hart/Andre/LOD ETC are cool with me but Legend UT/Kane thing is lame, they should be be alternate attires)
But like the wrestling game sheep I am... I'm still buying the sucker. Just hope they added a crap load of new moves and redid the CAW a little bit.

Just wow, great soundtrack...
Eazy E, NWA, Guns N' Roses, STP, Danzig, Soundgarden, Booker T and MGs, Willie Nelson, JAMES F'N BROWN. Skynyrd! (FREE BIRD!) Billy Idol, Ultramagnetic MCs! Living Colour! AIC! Jane's! Faith no more! Dr. Dre!
Axl Rose, Chris Penn, Sam Jackson doing voice work?
IMO, this looking to be the greatest game ever (I don't have an X-Box so Halo 2 means nothing to me)
Really can't wait for tommorrow to pick up this game, I even preordered it (something I hate doing)

Oh my god that is amazingly sad. I loved Rodney's work and am truly upset to hear of his passing.
R.I.P. Rodney... you have everyone's respect.
-
Where I live (California), it used to be called "Prime Sports" before Fox took it over. Which kinda sucked but they got rid of ECW! (which Prime Sports used to air late at night)

I've always dug H.P. Lovecraft. Any fan of horror stories or just bizarre fiction, should check his work out.
He wrote the Necronomicon, did he not? Or made it up or something.
Anyways, yeah. What he said. If he did infact make it up, I was so into that book. I thought it was real and everything.

That's great news. Acclaim really deserved to die for what they did with the ECW games.
