  1. I would recommend Nosferatu from 1922 to anyone who really wants to see a well done German vamp flick from ALL the way back...

Hah, I remember the first time I saw this I was a kid, and my dad was watching it. I had nightmares for weeks about Nosferatu creeping through the door like he did in that one scene, then when they show the silhouette of him. Classic stuff.

The original Dawn of the Dead is another classic zombie movie, I just watched it again the other night. I'm not hugely into horror movies, but I'm a big fan of zombie flicks.

  2. I'm assuming we just have to rate how we like each of the top 20, and not actually put down our own top 20?

    If so, here's my list.

  4. I'm just curious to see who everyone's favorite comedians are. Maybe I can find some in here that I've never heard of and check them out. I don't know if there's already a thread like this so if there is, sorry, but I don't feel like searching the entire forum for it.

Here are some of my favorites.

    1. Bill Hicks

    - Bill Hicks never became very popular because of his early death, which really sucks, but to me he was the greatest stand-up comedian of all time. His jokes were piercing at times, and he came off with so much emotion, and gave us such strong messages behind his jokes. It's almost like his shows were way more than just stand-up comedy, it's like he was preaching the truth to us more than anything.

    2. George Carlin

    - Just soooooooo much great material form this guy, I can't even begin to talk about it. Hicks is a personal fav of mine, but I could easily see why people would call Carlin the best. There's no denying this guy was a very intelligent man, and was fucking hilarious as well.

    3. Sam Kinison

    - Sam had a lot of sex and religous based material, which may have been a bit too harsh for an early time, but man was he fucking hilarious. Another comedian who never really got the respect he deserved.

    4. Brian Regan

    - He had such a simple forumla to his jokes, his jokes weren't ever dirty, and he was one of the many observational comedians in that era, but he was so much betetr than anyone else at it IMO. He would just take a subject everyone knows so much about, and twist it in ways we could never think of in that way.

    5. Louie CK

    - Probably one of the most underrated comedians today. Sucks that his HBO show got cancelled.

    6. Mitch Hedberg

    - Very unique one liners, and he really made you think with his jokes. Died too young as well.

    7. Dave Chappelle

    - At first glance his jokes seemed harmless and like your average race jokes, but they actually had a lot of meaning under them. Fucking hilarious as well of course.

    8. Richard Pryor

    - What can I really say, he was a legend.

    9. Rodney Dangerfield

    - Just fires away with such great quick jokes, you really have to pay attention when watching him. Just so funny.

And some other greats are Eddie Izzard, Joe Rogan, Andrew Dice Clay, Lenny Bruce, Stephen Wright, Dana Carvery, Daniel Tosh, Demitri Martin, Bill Bailey, Mitch Fatal, and I can go on and on.

Anyway, post some of your favorites.

  5. I 'unno, I find Dead Air pretty easy compared to the others, it's just long. The finale is a piece of cake, you just get one guy on the machine gun and the other three on top of the truck. But yeah, Blood Harvest can be a bitch. The first map on that is way harder than all the others first ones.

I love the third stage on Dead Air, probably my favorite level. It's just cool walking through the airport with the crashed plane and all the fire and the witch nearby sometimes :pervert:

The best thing to do on the finale of dead air is either hang out on top of that hill behind the plane, or go in the closet.

Blood Harvest is hard as fuck, and I don't really care for the levels on it either, they're kinda boring, which is why I tend to just not play it as much.

  6. Having Dent return and turn out to be alive would totally kill TDK's story. Everything was resolved in the end of that movie, which made it so great. We saw the complete cycle of Dent's character, and I think it was perfect having him die at the end, instead of dragging him on to a third. Also, the WHOLE FUCKING POINT of the movie was that Dent was more important to Gotham than Batman. He took the blame for the deaths to protect Dent's legacy and the arrests he made. Hence "The Dark Knight". If Dent is alive, and is publically revealed to be a bad guy, the second movie would have no purpose.

So yeah, I haven't read all of the posts in this thread, but from the recent ones above, there's my sentiments on Dent returning. I think it would suck.

  7. Gah, I was thisclose to having a success at Dead Air advanced, but as our last surviving man went to get in the plane, a Smoker from behind a stack of luggage tongued him and pulled us into the jaws of defeat. :(

Have you beat any campaigns on expert yet? I've beat No Mercy and Dead Air on expert, haven't been assed to beat the other two yet (mainly due to the fact that I don't care for the forest levels).

Also, anyone hear any news about dlc? Like new levels and shit?

  8. Great diary so far, I loved the backstory. Bringing back The Rock was a good idea. You did make a typo in your backstory though. You said the meeting way a day after Judgment Day, when it was really after Unforgiven, no biggie though. I'd like to see another guy get moved to Smackdown besides Cena (maybe Edge or Shawn Michaels, they would be alot more fresh on SD), but again, no biggie. Keep up the good work man.

  9. Great No Way Out show. I can't remember the last time I was actually excited for reading a match lol, but I was for both the World Title match and the Triple Threat. I kinda wish Undertaker and Angle would've won their respective matches, but oh well, Rey/Henry at Mania should be good too. The ultimate underdog vs. the ultimate monster heel!

  10. Unfortunatley, I am unable to continue this diary. Flat_Doughnut says he doesn't want to continue with the diary, so there will be no RAW show. And just making a Smackdown show for now on is kinda pointless, and I don't want to do two shows a week, that would take up too much of my time. So, I'm ditching this diary sadly. I am gonna make a 2003 diary though, since there are no 2003 diaries going on currently in the diary dome.

*SPOILER WARNING* - Some of these aritcles may contain spoilers. You were warned.

The 4/14 edition of Smackdown drew a 3.7 overall rating. There rating is still miles lower than RAW, but it is steadily rising. The main atraction of the show was the main event, which the last half hour got a 3.9.

So the main event of Judgment Day is Triple H vs. Undertaker for the WWE Championship. Michaels was going to win, but he thought of an idea of him turing heel and feuding with RVD, leading to them facing each other at Judgment Day, and having RVD go over, and Michaels then heading off to get knee surgery. Other matches that are planned for Judgment Day are Benoit vs. Big Show, Orton vs. Chavo, and a slight possibility of Mysterio vs. Mark Henry.

There is talk of having the tournament finals for the WWE Tag Championships to be The Hardys vs. Finlay & Regal for Judgment Day.

Rumors for Smackdown moving to thursday nights are floating around even more. There is talk of WWE having a meeting in the near future to address their information on the matter, if there is any at all.

    Smackdown! 4/14/06

Smackdown first comes on with a highlight video of last week's main event. Their intro video then plays and pyro goes off afterwards, and we are underway!

Match: The Mexicools vs. Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch

Ending: The Mexicools have had the upper hand in the match so far with their high flying stle, but once Super Crazy went for a diving body slash, Trevor Murdoch caught him and gave him a spinebuster. Ever since then Cade and Murdoch have been isolating Crazy from his partner. But once Crazy tagged in Psicosis, things started to heat up. Psicosis hit a dropkick on Cade, a Spinning Wheel kick on Murdoch, and a spinning hurricanrana on Cade. Psicosis then went to tag in Crazy again, but Murdoch knocked Crazy off the apron. Psicosis then turned around towards Murdoch, and Cade came from behind and they both hit the TNT on Psicosis. Murdoch then goes for the cover!

    1...2...3!

Winners: Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch (Match Time - 8:14)

The 4/7 edition of Smackdown drew a 3.4 overall rating. Although the rating is almost twice as low as the RAW rating, it is still considered high, because the show is on Friday nights.

Although it is not confrimed, the main event of Judgment Day may be Triple H vs. Undertaker. This may change, because Shawn Michaels wants to go into surgery after Judgment Day for his nagging knee injury he's had since 2005, and he wants just one more main event match before he leaves, so it is definatley not guaranteed that Undertaker will main event the show.

Randy Orton and Big Show will definatley not main event Judgment Day though. It has been said that Orton will most likely get into a program with Chavo Guerrero, continuing from his feud with Rey. The feud won't be based on Eddie's death though, it will be mainly focused on Orton ridiculing Chavo for always being Rey's "sidekick". And Big Show will most likely get into a small program with Chris Benoit. It has been said that WWE wants to turn Big Show heel again, and Big Show will most likely start by feuding with Benoit.

There have been a few rumors floating around that WWE wants to put Smackdown back on Thursday nights. Reports claim that their contract with UPN, which usually ends in the fall, actually will end in early summer. WWE is said to have plans of moving away from the UPN network and going on the USA network with RAW, on Thursday nights. But, remember these are just rumors, WWE hasn't confrimed a thing yet.
