Damn you guys have motivated me to go see it (Y) And I hate Nicholas Cage with a passion.

If you want some rap artists over Rock beats, Search for "Rock Phenomenon". Sick album.
You can listen to it for free at http://www.datpiff.com

I`d love to go. I heard Nas is shit in concert though. He does a bunch of songs where he`ll only do one verse plus the chorus, it feels very rushed.
-
Is it just me or do the commercials try to market the movie as more of a family-comedy? I hope it's got the crude humour like 40 year old virgin in it.

the preview for next week's episode said, "what would the Heroes's future be like if they DIDN'T stop the world?" so i think it's more of a teaser episode..
-
shit, I love the new album. Falling On, Sense of a Spark, So-So Suicide are awesome songs and Talking to the Walls and Gather & Give are good for a few listens.. I'll Keep Your Memory Vague has been nice to listen to as well. (Y)

The folder where all my music is in looks like shit, but my Itunes is one of the neatest you'll find anywhere..
I have all the songs, artists, albums, years, ratings all perfect in Itunes to my liking... Then I added album art to every song, started on producers and BPM (Beats Per Minute).. Sooner or later every single field in my Itunes is going to be perfect.
I also hate when people take all of the songs from the album and throw them together with different sound qualities.. I also hate radio versions of songs, clean versions, ones with DJ's screaming over them.. I've been known to carefully edit out the DJ's on certain songs in ACID so that they sound better.

For me, it would be AC/DC - You Shook Me All Night Long
Also, 1 hit wonders fall under the "signature song" category:
Chumbawumba - Tubthumping
Effeil 65 - Blue
Frankie - Fuck You (Dont Want You Back)
-
Carrell made the 40 year old virgin.. There's just not another actor I could've seen in the same situation. Just his reaction and lines were awesome..
"Virgin isn't a dirty word. You know what is? Asshole, and that's what you guys are."
"Me so horny.. Me love you long time.. Me so STUPID!"
"Is it true that if don't use it, you lose it?" "Is that a serious question?" "No."
"Would you like me to be fucking retarded?"
So many quotables in that movie, I personally like it more than Anchorman.

Here are the new album releases for this past year I've been bumpin:
The Game - Doctor's Advocate
Nas - Hip-Hop Is Dead
Tech N9ne - Everready: The Religion
Eminem: Presents The Re-Up
Snoop Dogg - Blue Carpet Treatment
Ill Wayz - F.A.M.E.
Lupe Fiasco - Food and Liquor
Obie Trice - Second Rounds on Me
Busta Rhymes - The Big Bang
Young Jeezy - Thug Inspiration 102
2Pac - Pacs Life (Not too Great IMO)
Akon - Konvicted (Ditto as above, a few good songs though.
Styles P - Time Is Money
-
Decent album... I like Trouble and the one by Swizz Beats right now. Show Me What You Got has grown as a single for me... The track with Beyonce is shit I think, same goes for #2 (The first one produced by Just Blaze).
Blue Carpet Treatment is alright, Snoops style of rapping isn't really my thing, I find him rather boring... Vato was a hot song, same with Thats That Shit.. I also liked "Round Here", "Boss' Life" with Akon.. The highlight of the album by far is Imagine with Dre, that shit is deep. I hate that hyphy crap so Candy wasn't really my thing on this album...
Game's Doctor's Advocate shines more than these two.. Jay-Z matches him on his flow, but the production on Game's album is stellar.
Even better than these three albums though is Tech N9ne.. People sleep on this guy IMO and his flow tops all three of the above. There's not one song on his album, Everready: The Religion" that I don't like...
Also, 2Pac - Pacs Life, the clean version has leaked... And while you can't really rate a clean version, I still feel it's going to be a disappointment... Still Nas, Young Buck, and Eminem to go.. I think as far as rap releases, it'll go the following for this quarter:
Tech N9ne
Game
Young Buck / Jay-Z
Nas
Eminem
Snoop
2Pac
-
1) The Game - Doctor's Advocate
2) Tech N9ne - Everready: The Religion
3) Obie Trice - 2nd Rounds on Me
4) Three Days Grace - OneX
5) Lupe Fiasco - Lupe Fiasco
6) T.I. - King
7) Pillar - The Reckoning
8) Ludacris - Release Therapy
9) Busta Rhymes - The Big Bang
10)Breaking Benjamin - Phobia
11) Fat Joe - Me, Myself, and I
12) Skillet - Comatose
13) Lloyd Banks - Rotten Apple
14) Evans Blue - The Melody and Energetic Nature of Volume
15) Akon - Konvicted
16) Mobb Deep - Blood Money
17) Diddy - Press Play
Listed all the albums I have from this year on my ipod and rated them.. I'm mostly rap, so that's why the list... But CDs like 3DG and Breaking Benjamin were too good to ignore.
-
Well my brother has 2 versions of the song. The one we hear on radio and television, and I think the other is called the "West Coast Remix". maybe thats what you got.
I'm pretty sure neither The Game or DJ Quik are German, though.
I know of:
East Coast Remix (ft. Jae Millz & Papoose)
Dirty South Remix (ft. Bun-B & Pimp C)
West Coast Remix (ft. DJ Quik & The Game) (the weakest remix imo..)
& the original with Krayzie Bone.
-
From a rap point of view, I think the best are yet to come. Jay-Z, The Game, Snoop, Tech N9ne, Nas, Eminem... Time to kill all the south that's been running this rap year. Though releases like TI - King and Lil Wayne/Birdman - Like Father, Like Son were good. (Y)
-
Yup, love them and love their new cd... There's not a song on it that I wouldn't listen to..
Going to see them as well on November 17 with Theory of a Deadman, Mobile, and Idle Sons (Y)
-
All those string tribute CDs you keep hearing about? Yeah, The Section Quartet.
Oh, what the hell, let's keep the ball rolling. The John Butler Trio gets no love when they're excellent musicians.
A very talented band from the Chattanooga, TN area be Crank Sinatra. They recently changed vocalists (their current one is now featured on MySpace) and while I'm not huge on the new vocal changes, they are some of the best musicians I've heard.
Crossbreed deserves some recognition for those into the more industrial sound.
(Yes, I know two of these are technically Christian-oriented bands. SFW?)
Instrumental metal? Try Pelican. Now.
-
Usual Suspects will be great (Y)
If you like those kind of movies, I suggest:
Se7en
Saw
Memento
Cube
Inside Man << Just came out...
-
Three Days Grace - OneX
Eminem - Marshall Mathers LP
Billy Talent - Billy Talent 2
-
Veto winner
Janelle
-
For post-grunge, No Address and Hinder are good places to start.
-
Her voice is so digitalize it's not even fun anymore.
-
I agree exactly.
Also, Breaking Benjamin's new song, Diary of Jane, is nothing short of awesome and Evans Blue's cover of Sarah McCloughin's "Possession" is great too. I wish more bands had this sound to them.

Tomorrow is a good TV night. Chuck + 24 (Y) Fuck Heroes I got fed up with that show in the middle of season 3. Is it worth even going back to?
