America, fuck yeah.
-
Oh, James Reimer.
-
The worst injustice ever was how Pilgrim tanked. Irregardless of that, it's still a goddamned awesome-as-hell film that I'll love forever. Maybe even for a thousand years, a thousand years. (Obscure references FTW.)
Toy Story 3 was fantastic, as was Inception.
-
I loved both Kick-Ass & Social Network. Though I haven't seen Black Swan, nor do I ever plan to, to be honest. Not my cup of tea.
-
Iron Man 2 was alright, but not up to par with the first one, as with many other sequels.
-
1. Scott Pilgrim
2. Toy Story 3
3. Inception
4. The Social Network
5. Kick Ass
6. Tron Legacy
7. Machete
8. The Expendables
9. Easy A
10. How To Train Your Dragon

At first I mocked The Green Hornet for being potentially bad, but boy, how wrong was I....
It's a fun little romp that I enjoyed from start to finish. A solid 8/10 from me.
-
I find it funny that two teams with a Maple Leaf logo (and a Schenn on both teams!) collapsed in the third period, only for one to lose, and for one to win.
Needless to say, that WJHC Gold Medal Game left a bad taste in the Canadian in me, that was quickly drowned away by Grabovski's awesome shootout spinorama goal, and the Leafs destroying the Thrashers on Friday.
-
Easy A on Blu-Ray at the friend's house. And as everyone's been raving, Emma Stone is indeed fantastic in it.
-
A double-bill of Inception & Scott Pilgrim at a friend's house last night. Two fantastic movies back-to-back, made for a fun night for all.

That Saturday Leafs game against Ottawa was just plain bad. Oy, vey.
-
Mats Sundin is worth every penny and is the greatest Leaf ever.
-
Thanks.
Just checked MileHighComics.com and indeed they did make the comic. And I thought I was dreaming.

Forewarning: I've picked up few comics in my life. I've always just been a fan of the movies, the TV shows, the atmosphere, etc. So, all of the bigger names for the most part, live or dead, are in this scenario because death in comics mean nothing, but what this also means is that there isn't an entire promotion dedicated toward one series. Instead, you get this:
Marvel promotion - UMC (Universal Marvels Combat) owned by Joe Quesada
(I put Rosters in spoiler tags, because for some reason I think A) people should be able to read the read-me before downloading and B) some would just rather download and let it be a surprise.)

Quite a few unemployed from lower tier comic promotions, ranging from Freddy Krueger, to The Crow, to GI Joe and Transformers. Misfits that seem to get tossed around a bunch from comic to comic. I also added roughly 60 or so "Custom Made (insert nationality here)" characters, so if halfway through your gaming experience, you're playing and you say "man, you know who I wish was in this game that I could use in here, and it would perfect?" you can just hire one of these 0 overness characters, and arsenic away.
As for a backstory to this alternate universe, I didn't make one. Its your game to play, you make it up. However I will defend some of my actions in this.
- There are few tag teams, especially in UMC and DCL, as it could be argued that these characters are pulled from any time loop or dimension where they may or may not have been teaming up for who knows how long.
- This is the same reason why characters like Cap America are in the game
- And the same reason for lack of relationships, other than one just to make sure the game wouldn't implode.
- Belts have a tad on the low side of image because I believe a promotion should build the image of their title.
- Alter Egos, hell, I just gave up on. I got about a dozen and decided, no way.
- Staff I don't think anyone cares much about so I filled it with nonsensical half-assedness, like Healing God 1-34953 etc.
- Some of the stats, I can't really defend. I was just of the impression after viewing other scenarios like this one that just because someone is strong, doesn't mean they should have a high brawl. Brawl is pretty much that - brawl. Speed is speed of course, but in comparison to those like The Flash. So even fast striking martial artists won't have VEEERY high speed. Technical is sort of a mixture of technology based offense like grenades, armor, and sole dependence on Superpowers (ex: this is the key stat for Fantastic Four's Invisible Woman, but it's still not very high)
Lastly, as having stated I don't know a whole lot about comic books, this is open for anyone to upgrade. For too long a scenario like this one has been needing to be made, but it's a lot of work. So at least now we have a foundation for others to build off of.
Anyway, enjoy:

Green Hill Zone and Old School Mario Bros. Stage FTW! I'm really f*ckin' stoked for this game.

Today's update from the official site is called, Masterpieces. The following text is taken from the site:
Well, what do we have here...
*image of Super Mario Bros.*
Yes, that’s Super Mario Bros.
Several memorable characters compete for brawl supremacy—that’s Super Smash Brothers Brawl in a nutshell.
But what about the past fights for each of those characters? What were they like?
It may sound impossible, but you can experience those battles in Brawl as well!
That’s right, for the first time ever, you can play trial versions of these games by the miracle of Virtual Console!
That’s what Masterpieces is! Here you can relive the greatest battles of the biggest star characters through demo versions of their games.
Here are some of the titles you can expect to see available in Brawl. Crazy, isn’t it?!
Ice Climber
(1985, NES)
Super Mario Bros.
(1985, NES)
The Legend of Zelda
(1987, NES)
Kid Icarus
(1987, NES)
Kirby’s Adventure
(1993, NES)
Super Metroid
(1994,Super NES)
Star Fox 64
(1997, Nintendo 64)
Whoaaa. Makes my head spin just seeing all those. You won’t need to be connected with Nintendo WFC to play these games.
Just remember, there are some NES classics in there as demos, so expect some of the time limits on those games to be so short that all you can do is laugh at how hard they are.
I’m almost...to the top!
Ahaha! Oh man, out of time already?!
That’s what a good demo is all about. It gives you just enough to let you appreciate the game. Plus it’s a lot of fun to see just how far you can go before the little time that you have runs out.
If you take a liking to one of the trial versions, you can always buy the full game through the Shop Channel! You might even find a couple titles that divert your attention from Brawl for a while.
Some titles come with save data.
But hmm, it seems there are still titles hiding in the Masterpieces section.
Titles?! What games don’t I know about?! That discovery is part of the fun, isn’t it?
Masterpieces are called masterpieces for good reason, and each of the well loved characters here come from a past that is worthy of that title.
To end, I’d like to take this opportunity to send my thanks to all the game creators and affiliated parties who helped in making this possible
-
All these things are worth that final delay. Come March, I'm going to buyin' this. It's abso-fuckin'-lutely mindblowing. It's looking to be one of the most epic games I'll ever play.
-
If anyone's interested, the following roster has been heavily suggested by somewhat credible leaks (by credible, they've accurately revealed features before the official updates, from Kirby's Dragoon Item to the exact date Sonic would be released). I've highlighted the relevant bits.

R.O.B. - (wtf?)
That leaves two characters unaccounted for. The general consensus is that they're going to be Luigi and Marth.
-
JFJ is gone, and Cliff Fletcher is the interim GM and will be a consultant for bringing in the new President and General Manager and will help out whomever they bring in.
Peddie seems to be moving aside from his President's post, which is a big positive. Opens up the GM job to any of the older guys who wanted the power and autonomy to fully run the franchise.
Oh, and Malkin is taking Crosby's place at the All-Star Game. I think the Penguins will be alright with Crosby out because Malkin has been a monster recently.
-
A waste of a perfectly talented actor, and at a young age. I'm sure his portrayal of the Joker will be awesome. But still, I feel bad for his family. Damn.
-
There's a guy who uses a program to make some awesome Simpsons\Futurama\random fights online. It's not that bad looking but I'd never be able to do it all.
