Clone High > anything else MTV has ever done.

Am I the only one who doesn't like Family Guy all that much? In short doses it is fine, but after watching one episode it is almost impossible to watch it again, I find. The random humor is fine the first time you see it, but that it why it works - it's random. When I see an episode for a second or more time, it's no longer random, I know it is coming, and I don't find it funny. I also find Lois, Meg, Chris, and Brian (and often Stewie) to be incredibly annoying. And the biggest problem is that all the characters are so one dimensional that when they try to build an actual plot (Lois might get wacked, everything about Brian finding himself, etc.) it just comes off flat. 15 minute shows (Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Harvey Birdman) are shorter and thus, don't have to worry about the plots as much and it really helps the completely random humor.
Or maybe it's just me?

I've already seen the entire pilot (so next weeks episode, too) and the "twist" if you want to call it that is certainly interesting.
Solid show so far. Of course, once it gets farther into its run it'll be easier to judge.

I am really liking this diary. Your match write-ups are great and really capture that indy feel. Your previews are well done and I am looking forward to the next show. Keep it up!

So I've purged through the first two seasons of Skins. You limey fucks probably love this shit. I love it, too, because it fills that void of unrealistic vaguely erotic teen excitement television that as a straight male in his early 20's without a heart of gold and a desire to maintain said image, I can't get from romantic comedies or soap operas. And I'm OK with that
