  1. I've got to plug them because they are friends of mine,so :

    Mango-Maracuja

Only three songs on their myspace(unfortunately nothing to download I think) but Muse is one of their influences and I think you could enjoy them (Y)

Hmm, I've given them a listen and I like everything. APART from the vocals, they seem a bit weird for my liking. But thanks for pointing them out to me and good luck to them. ;)

  2. Sorry to bump an old thread, but I felt this one was appropriate for my post.

I'm in a musical rut at the moment and I would like some people to recommend a couple of bands to try out. My favourite all-time band is Muse, and apart from the obvious Radiohead, I was wondering if there are any good, young bands with like free EP's out there that are reminiscent of Muse around the Showbiz era. Ideas anyone? :)

  3. if you don't know who they are - they're a fairly big band. the hot one from blink-182 is their frontman and I'm pretty sure you know who they are. :)

I definately know who Blink-182 are, but I've never really given them a listen. :/

  4. Never heard of Angels & Airwaves, but I see this thread, noticed it was free and had a look. And I'm glad I did, because the album is really good and uplifting. 'Young London', 'The Flight of Apollo', & 'The Moon-Atomic' are awesome tracks.

  5. Discuss.

Personally, I think any version of the FIFA games offer the most replay value, just because each game is different. But I also think any kind of sports game has good replay value anyway.

An EA Sports game? You're going to use them as an example of games with difference between versions? Really?

I actually meant each individual game of football. :l

  6. Hearing anything but americans rap like that is just painful

    Amazing British Rappers -

Bashy, Foreign Beggars, Roots Manuva, Skinnyman, Professor Green, Kano, Akala, Riz MC, Kate Tempest, Shystie, Example

This. A thousand times this. I stand out from my social circle for not liking what they like. See: Lady GaGa, T.I etc. But, Kano is actually one of my likes. I have all his albums, :D

  7. Sale at HMV, so I bought 'Sawdust' by The Killers for a mere £4. 18 tracks for £4 was a bargain, and cheap music is like my addiction. :P

Overall, Sawdust is a nice album, formed from mainly B-Sides, remixes and other songs. Strong songs include 'Tranquilize' w/ Lou Reed, 'Under The Gun', 'Change your Mind' and 'Leave the Bourbon on the Shelf'.

However when I next go to HMV, they are chucking out the earlier Kings of Leon albums, Youth and Young Manhood and some other one on a 2 for £10. Is Youth and Young Manhood a gooden?

  8. Basically, let's discuss what you are looking forward to in music. Gigs, albums etc, etc...

I can wait for Muse's new album in September, The Resistance. Considering I only started listening to them at the start of this year, I have the excitement of buying a NEW Muse album. *marks out*

  9. I'm busy listening to 'Only by the Night' by Kings of Leon. I know some people are saying there are only four good songs on it (Closer, Crawl, Use Somebody and Sex on Fire), but they are wrong. 'Notion', 'Revelry' and 'Cold Desert' are absolute tunes. Well worth the £7 I paid for it.

  10. The bit where Neil punched the fish to death was pure awesome. I want to watch it again though to get the bits I missed.

I actually just started rolling around in bed in tears of laughter. "Yeah, that was a much more dignified death, weren't it?" Funny stuff.

Although quote of the episode has to be: "What are we going to tell the sea police? Help, we caught a fish?" :D
