  1. The question now is can we expect this to happen next year?

It didn't happen last year, so I wouldn't think it would happen next year. But, if we all make it to 2014 I think that's the next time we will run into this.

  2. Yeah, all of mine are there. Nimrodic, have you tried syncing with the PSN? Should restore any lost trophies, worked for me and Wipeout HD.

Didn't even think of that once I saw that big ole 0% and the thought of the endless setlist again I kinda just flipped out without even checking.... which I will do now.

Edit: And there they are.... glad I don't have to do the endless setlist again heh.

  3. Did you just turn it back on and it worked again? I'll be leaving it until midnight just in case.

Yeah, time changed normally on the clock and I can play FF7. Yet I still can't sign in, maybe it's just my network connection.

  4. Apparently the PSN is down for some reason or another and it isn't letting people play DLC or games that involves syncing trophies(such as Heavy Rain). I'm just glad that it isn't a hardware thing as it seems to be happening to everyone.

  5. Okay, first and foremost I am a HUGE fan of both film franchises, the AVP Film series, and the game series. While that may be I am kinda taking this game with a grain of salt as of right now for a sole reason.

Apparently some kid got his dad to get him an early copy of the game through "connections" or whatever and has been posting walkthroughs of the levels on youtube. Each level seemed to take him an average of ten minutes to complete, which wouldn't be too bad if there were a lot of them. But, apparently(and this is according to how he has done his videos so I may just be reading too much into it) there seems to be only 5 levels per species. I could really care less about how the multiplayer looks and plays, as my internet is sparatic where I live right now compared to my old place, so at least a decent single player is needed to keep me interested in it. And by the way it seems I don't know if the single player will even be somewhat decent. So yeah, I may just straight up wait for this to hit bargin bin and with the way prices have been dropping on games lately it might not take that long for it to happen.

  6. As far as recent games go, I completed Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 on Vet difficulty back in early December I think it was(now I just gotta finish spec ops which I am almost done with). Also I beat Ultimate Alliance 2(which was a big disappointment for me) back when it first came out on legendary and have no interest in going back to get the remaining trophies. As for all of the games that I've completed on the PS3, here's the rest: The Darkness, Turok, Blacksite Area 51, Metal Gear Solid 4, Ultimate Alliance, Star Wars the Force Unleashed(prior to the trophy update which has made me go back and replay it), F.E.A.R, Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X, Tom Clancy's End War, inFamous, and Brothers In Arms Hell's Highway. Currently working on Little Big Planet and soon to be working on either Aliens VS Predator or Dante's Inferno.

  7. I haven't bought it yet, want to but I don't have the cash and the fact that during the beta I wasn't able to even connect to the server with a good internet connection was a tad disturbing for me. But from what I have heard from a friend he said that it was a glorified version of SOCOM, so based on that I think I'll stick with Modern Warfare 2 and then Bad Company 2 in a few months.

  8. Thanks for clearing that up General, I can guess I can wait 30 days for the songs to be ported over.

As for the DLC, love the Blue Oyster Cult and "Bulls on Parade". Might actually have to pick up a network card sometime soon.

  9. So, when's the RBN coming to the PS3? Or is it just a 360 thing? The only reason that I am curious is that I could've sworn that I read about it coming to the PS3 sooner or later, yet there doesn't seem to be anything involving a PS3 release from what I have read recently.

  10. I thought the goblin was crap to be honest he was a guy with a mask and they turned it into some type of iron goblin thing ...Dafoe was good it was just done horribly. I bet they could a scary goblin thing like they did with joker as some1 else said already oh and kingpin could hold his own movie

Only problem I could see with Kingpin is that they already used him in Daredevil. But, then again who remembers Daredevil and wanted a sequel besides me? As for the Goblin thing, there is another Goblin they can go with in the Hobgoblin where they can do it with like a Goblin mask and stuff. Also; on the subject of the reboot being "Ultimates" inspired and him teaming with the "Avengers" possibly, I would have no problem with it on two conditions. One; for costumes concept use the Ultimates look, that is one reason why I loved the Ultimates books was the way the characters looked, so yeah use the Ultimates look and you've already won me over. Number two; pick the villains wisely, don't blow all of the big names in the first couple of movies use smaller named ones such as Shocker, Vulture, or Mysterio in the first one or two and then slow build into the big named ones like a most comic book story arcs actually do.

  12. In no particular order.... okay, maybe by release date.

Tom Clancy's HAWX- Everything I could've wanted from a combat flight simulator since the Ace Combat series on the PS2.

MLB 09 The Show- Much improved over 2008's version, and since its the only sports game(aside from UFC) that I played this year it makes the list.

Resident Evil 5- A very good story and was more action oriented then 4 was, but I wish that there were more scary segments.

UFC Undisputed 2009- An extremely well done fighting game, even for a first go around with the UFC style. The learning curve did take a while, but it was a fairly good game.

Infamous- I'm glad that I went with this one other then Prototype, though I still want to play Prototype.

Guitar Hero 5- Despite the censoring of "2 Minutes to Midnight" it was a much welcomed improvement to World Tour.

Beetles Rock Band- Rented this the day it came out, and I swear to God me and my buddy got a contact high just playing it.

Smackdown VS RAW 2010- I enjoyed the story designer, but I do wish that we had more scenes to play with and could use more CAWs in them. I just wish that they would improve the AI significantly.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2- GAME OF THE YEAR! I have played through the story at least 4 or 5 times, still working on spec ops, and multiplayer is as fin as ever.

Left 4 Dead 2- It is a pretty fun game, a lot of funny things can end up happening during a level.

Lego Rock Band- Come on its Legos mixed with Rock Band, how could this not be awesome???

  13. Played the demo at Comicon way back in July, it seemed pretty good when I played it. But, personally I think I will wait till it dips in price. Partially since I am on broke mofo, and I got this feeling in my gut that I'll just be playing it for the trophies and maybe the story.

  14. Man, there still isn't much outside of the Pantera pack(if it even comes at this point) and Green Day Rock Band(just for American Idiot and if Holiday is on it) that I am looking forward too in terms of Rock Band DLC. Needs more Killswitch and Disturbed in my book, heh.

  15. Hands down is a tie between the Guitar Hero series and Rock Band 2. Before the Guitar Series the music genre was, well it was limited to vocals ala Karaoke Revolution. But, when Guitar Hero launched it was like lightning had struck the music genre that in a way that I don't think will ever be repeated in any genre again. As for Rock Band 2, well Rock Band 1 was good. But, Rock Band 2 improved so much on what was a fan-dabi-dozi formula and was a much better party game then say Mario Party.

Honorable Mention(s): Call of Duty series, Medal of Honor series, Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2, and Final Fantasy 10

  16. Just got a chance to watch it as I had taped it, and my God 2010 is gonna be awesome for games.

The highlight of the show for me was the reveal of the NEW FUCKIN' MEDAL OF HONOR!!!! As much as I want them to redo the series in WWII, it looks like all shooters have evolved into the modern age.

The Arkham teaser was fairly interesting and makes me still want to play the first one even more(haven't gotten around to it yet sadly...).

That one Spec Ops game reminded me of Gears in a way, so I'll put that down as wait and see.

And finally, Force Unleashed 2 is just gonna be killer in my mind as I loved the first one,

I thought the apprentice was killed in the first one though?

All in all I think the right games and studios won the right awards so I can't complain.
