Okay, so I decided to download Gimp and I'm pretty much teaching myself how to use this on the fly. Here is my first attempt at cutting:

Don't really have it down pat, and I couldn't figure out what size to make it, but this is literally the first pic I've ever done. Any feedback is appreciated.

Pics need to be 150x150 pixels or else EWR can't use them.

Beyond that, there's two issues. You want Maria to be centered more, and you want to make sure the black border around the pic stays consistent.

  2. Disagree entirely with your assessment of Naomi. Not only is she one of the best female workers WWE has, but she incorporates a lot more high flying in her style and matches than Samoa Joe, who is at a comparable level, or CM Punk, who is at an even higher level (which is undeserved in CM Punk's case IMO).

Triple H is still churning out classics - him vs. Sting was one of the best dramatic displays WWE has put on.

Sara Del Rey looks like a WRESTLER. MsChif looks like a CHARACTER. Paige just looks like an attractive young woman who wrestles, not like a larger than life person.

Okay, agree to disagree on Naomi.

Sting/HHH was basically a standard Raw match with a ton of smoke and mirrors. I remember nothing about it other than the two run-ins and the finish.

I'd argue that The Bella Twins also look like like attractive young women who wrestle rather than larger-than-life characters, as does Eva Marie, and they all have SS Look. Given Paige's prevalence on Total Divas, her numerous photoshoots for WWE, and the recent announcement that she's appearing in a movie I'd argue she absolutely does look like a star.

  3. -Raise Naomi's speed to 71.

-Raise Triple H's brawl to 84. Lower his stiffness to 64.

    -Uncheck SS Look for Paige.

    Disagree with all these.

Naomi is really athletic but she's also pretty sloppy sometimes. 67 is perfect for her.

No way Triple H's brawl deserves to be that high. 80's fine. I would recommend bumping up his technical a bit though, based on his match with Daniel Bryan last year. Maybe to about 66? (it's currently 62)

We've had the discussion about Paige before, and I stand by my earlier statement: if women like MsChif and Sara Del Rey deserve to have SS Look checked, then Paige deserves it just as much.

  4. Corbin has an interesting look, menacing for sure, but superstar? He's flabby and has a weird body. Itami looks good, but like a superstar? He looks like an average person who's in shape. Why should Neville's brawl be so high? Ace strikes, forearms and kicks especially.

True, Corbin is debatable. Sometimes he looks badass and sometimes he looks like a goof; depends on the angle and the lighting.

I dunno', something about Itami makes me think "superstar," but to each his own.

Neville has good strikes, but so do Tyson Kidd and Finn Balor. All three guys have really crisp striking offense, but I don't think Neville is significantly better than either of them.

  5. -Uncheck SS Look for Baron Corbin.

-Change Tyler Breeze's secondary finisher to Supermodel Kick (Impact).

-Raise Hideo Itami's brawl to 79 and charisma to 59. Uncheck SS Look.

-Raise Simon Gotch's charisma to 64.

-Raise Wesley Blake's overness to 29.

-Raise Buddy Murphy's overness to 28.

-Raise Finn Balor's charisma to 81.

-Raise Adrian Neville's brawl to 73.

-Raise Becky Lynch's brawl to 64, technical to 62, and stiffness to 46.

-Raise Charlotte's brawl to 54, technical to 56, and stiffness to 43.

-Raise Sasha Banks' brawl to 45 and speed to 56.

I agree with everything else but the bolded choices. Corbin's look is basically the only thing going for him, IMO, but he definitely has a star look to himself. Itami may be small but I think he has a good look as well. And I like Neville but why should his brawl be so high? Maybe raise it a little bit so that he's equal to Finn Balor, as they both pulled their weight in the recent Takeover match.

  6. I'm fine with raising Cameron's selling but I really don't think her brawl deserves to be that high. Her current stats put her roughly on par with Maryse which I think is fine - both have a nice DDT and not much else in the way of offense. In that match you linked Cameron didn't really do much at all outside of slaps and a roll-up. Maybe bump her speed up to like 36 since her athleticism seems to be her best in-ring attribute.

Again, I think Alicia needs to cut a memorable promo or two first before raising her charisma that high. 82 charisma means she'd be one of the top five or six women in the entire game in terms of charisma. She'd be in league with AJ Lee, Stephanie McMahon, Karen Jarrett, Mickie James, Michelle McCool and Trish Stratus, all of whom have gotten far more promo and angle time than Alicia ever has. There's just not a whole lot to justify raising it that high outside of her mini-push last month. And as for her brawl, I think she's good, just not better than women like Nattie or Paige.

  7. That charisma stat is pretty high for Alicia. She's good at her ringside freakouts but I can't recall her ever cutting a memorable promo. 76 (or whatever her current stat is) is fine. Also that brawl stat is a bit over-inflated, she's good but she's not better at brawling than, say, Natalya. 60 at most.

Agreed about Naomi, though raising her charisma seems arbitrary since she never gets any promo time and is never involved in angles.

Cameron...raise her selling, sure. Everything else can stay as is; she's still pretty awful at actual wrestling.

Aksana too. Raise her stiffness, sure, but leave everything else as is. She did temporarily blind Naomi a couple months ago.

  8. Well considering there is no way of accurately measuring things, everyones "metric" here is massively subjective, overness really doesn't have a definitive number unit, it is more vague categories of Not over to really over. I would argue that Y2J would pop more interest from more casual fans than a lot of the current roster.

That may be true, but I'm going by when he was last on TV for a regular period of time, not a hypothetical return. And the last time he was on TV regularly, he was nowhere near the main event, lost frequently, and was over but not to an outrageous degree. That's basically a textbook upper midcarder to me, hence lowering his overness to match that.

  9. Jericho 86 is that a joke? Jericho is still more over than 95% of the current roster.

By what metric? He hasn't had a main event run in a long time, he hasn't been on TV in over a year, and the last time he was on TV he was over but not, like, Bryan-level over or anything. 86 may be a bit low, but really he shouldn't be any higher than 89, given his crowd reactions and card positions the last time he was on the active roster.

Also after watching NXT Takeover I think some people need their stats boosted:

Raise Tyler Breeze's brawl to 64, tech to 67 and speed to 76. He and Zayn put on a pretty damn good match last night. Also I think his charisma needs a boost to about 78 or so - this would put him on par with Xavier Woods which I think is quite fair.

Raise Charlotte's brawl to 43, speed to 45 and tech to 47. Her match with Nattie was easily the best women's match in WWE since Paige/Emma from Arrival. The stat updates would make her a little bit better than Summer Rae in-game, for comparison's sake.

I think Adrian Neville and Justin Gabriel should have their brawl and tech stats exchanged. Gabriel is vastly overrated while Neville could use a boost. Raise Neville's brawl to 67 and tech to 73; lower Gabriel's brawl to 58 and tech to 61. Also lower Gabriel's speed to the lower 80s, between 81 and 84. I don't mind Gabriel, but Neville's match with Tyson Kidd was basically better than anything Gabriel's ever shown in WWE.

  10. Bo Dallas isn't a Cult Leader, he's a motivational speaker/delusional heel who thinks he's a babyface. Guru would be perfect for him but he's not charismatic enough: the gimmick requires 80 overness or more and he hasn't shown himself to be as good as that on the mic yet. He's not really a Pretentious Artist either, the only guy currently on the WWE roster that would fit that is maybe Aiden English, and even then I'm not sure it should be changed. Obnoxious or Man On A Mission would work just fine for now

There is precedent for raising someone's charisma to fit a gimmick. I remember several years ago when Charlie Haas was doing his Impressionist gimmick, the updates raised his charisma to 75 (from 60-something) so that the gimmick would work. Raising Bo's charisma from 73 to 80 isn't that huge of a jump.

    Other suggestions, mostly finisher talk:

Lower Chris Jericho's overness to about 86 or so, which would put him on par with RVD, and make him an Upper Midcarder. His last two runs have been very similar to RVD's in terms of how he's been used and in terms of crowd reaction, thus I feel he should have a similar overness and card position.

Change Dolph Ziggler's secondary finisher to the Famouser (Impact). He supposedly calls it the Name Dropper according to Wikipedia but I don't think I've ever heard it called that on air. Dolph hasn't won with the Sleeper in ages, whereas he's beaten...someone (I think Sandow?) with the Famouser within the past several months.

Adrian Neville's second finisher should be the Imploding 450 Splash (Top Rope). He beat Bo Dallas with it in their NXT Title rematch.

Cesaro's secondary finisher should be the German Suplex Hold (Impact). He's gotten several wins on Raw with it lately.

Bray Wyatt's secondary finisher should also be Sister Abigail. "Rapture" was the original name for the move and was never used outside of the FCW website.

I've seen no evidence of Alberto Del Rio's secondary finisher being called the Perro Punisher, outside of some fan-sites and a single TV report on WrestleView. Change it back to Superkick, maybe make it a Ground move since he always does it to a kneeling opponent.

Jack Swagger's primary finisher should be the Patriot Lock, not Patriot Act. It hasn't been called the Patriot Act since about a month or two after his 2013 return. A shame, since it's a much cooler name.

  11. How does Paige look like a superstar? If merely looking different is what is required, we should be sure to give it Brodus Clay, Hornswoggle, Bray Wyatt, etc.

She looks like a star in the sense that she's very photogenic and, I believe, has a very marketable look, like Lita in a way. It's difficult to explain but I feel she immediately stands out compared to a lot of the Divas roster.

Also, to compare Paige to someone with a similar style, MsChif also has SS Look checked and she looks like a totally nondescript lady once you take away the makeup, hair dye, and attire. So if MsChif has the SS Look then Paige definitely should as well.

  12. I disagree about unchecking SS Look for Paige. I think she definitely has a unique image that makes her stand out from the rest of the roster, and she's very marketable in her own way.

Given her offense and general athleticism, shouldn't Alexa Bliss' speed be her highest attribute? I'd say raise her speed to about 35 or so, maybe even 40. She's still really green but her current stats suggest she's worse than Eva Marie in-ring which is just flat-out impossible.

Make Layla El's secondary finisher the Layout (Impact). She hasn't won a match with or even attempted the Face Lift in years.

Make Alicia Fox's primary finisher the Axe Kick and her secondary finisher the Tilt-a-Whirl Backbreaker, both Impact. Her axe kick has never had an official name, and she hasn't done the somersault leg drop in years. She never actually beats anyone with the backbreaker but it's at least a signature move that she busts out every match.

Make Batista's secondary finisher the Spear (Impact), It's a regular signature move and has gotten the win for other people on a couple of occasions (for example, I seem to recall that during a match between Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan, Batista at one point ran in and speared Orton which allowed Bryan to get the win)

Rename Cody Rhodes' secondary finisher from the Beautiful Disaster to the Disaster Kick.

Change Bo Dallas' primary finisher to Double Underhook DDT and make his secondary finisher the Side Belly to Belly, both Impact.

  13. Yeah, AJ's 450 was called the Superman back in his indy days, but I'm not sure if he calls it that anymore. Regardless of the name I think it should stay as a ground move. The fact that AJ does it from the ring apron to inside the ring.differentiates it enough from a regular top rope move, IMO. It was the same thing when Tyson Kidd was using the Springboard Elbow Drop as a finisher - that was listed in EWR as a ground move, if I remember correctly.

While we're on the subject of finishers, according to his Twitter account, Tensai's Senton Splash finisher is called the Gomennasai.
