  1. Back to back Title wins in League 2 and League 1 and finally Notts County are back in the Championship, also throw in winning the JPT both seasons and we are flying (I won't lie the cash from the chairman has made a difference, but not a huge one other than the wages side of it).

About to attack the Championship with my new signings including one Mr. David Beckham, couldn't believe it when he was on a free and willing to discuss personal terms but hey we're the new Man City and Sven must have had a word...

    Line-Up for Championship:

    GK: Kieran Westwood/Gabor Kiraly

    RB: Greg Halford/David Wright

    LB: Lee Naylor/David Wright

    CB: Craig Cathcart/Jose Goncalves

    CB: Danny Shittu/Rui Marques

    RW: David Beckham/Chris Taylor

LW: Ben Davies/Stephen Fahey (Irish Regen)

    CM: Paul Wotton©/Kasey Wehrman

    CM: Tom Soares/Jiri Jarosik

    FW: Jason Scotland/Santos

    FW: Jermaine Beckford/Karl Hawley

  2. I have started a Notts County file much like a lot of people and so far even with the cash it's still a struggle (unless you're playing Port Vale, over two games I won 5-1 and 4-0 even though I rested several players and was on a bad run at the time) as players will come to you but it's the wages that are the hump. I've signed Rui Marques, Jean-Joel Perrier-Doumbe and Paul Wotton (now club captain and fuckin' amazing) for about £100k in total so I haven't gone mental, I'm more of a Ian McParland kinda manager signing players that would settle better in League 2, and now closing in on the January window of the first season sitting in 4th with a wad of cash burning a hole in my pocket! Who to sign I wonder?!

  3. I would classify Cult TV fans as usually teens-mid twenties who are very passionate about a TV show - usually a smaller show - and I also think, a lot like music, they sometimes like the fact that they are one of only a few who are 'on board' with the show. I also think that they feel a close connection to the show (knowing a vast amount of lines to the shows, owning lots of memorabilia, etc) and as is often when the show becomes huge, they will either boast that they were "there from the start" or turn on the programme.

Before anyone calls me out I am defintely a Cult TV fan so I am talking about myself slightly, but it's more people that I have encountered.

Hope I have helped a little...

  4. I'm not sure whether I should mark out at seeing a fellow Swansea City fan on these boards or kneecap you for liking Westlife.

Well it's great to see another Jack on here most definitely, we're a rare beast. I don't want to like Westlife but Louis Walsh is the devil and gives them songs that get stuck in my head on a daily basis - in my defence I don't actually own one of their songs though so I haven't furthered the juggernaut that is Westlife.

  5. Lloyd was once again terrible and should have gone, I didn't mind Miss Frank and with the re-introduction of the raps I thought they'd be safe...how wrong was I?! I'm glad Danyl was in the bottom two as hopefully he and Simon can now go back and see that he keeps singing the same old tripe with a big note at the end, if he changes and comes back next week with a difference to the usual I may even like him. Plus for all the doubters can you tell me any act that could sing Ricky Martin dressed in lime green and bright orange suits and stay in the competition other than John and Edward?!

  6. Jamie, Danyl & Lucie are the best.

I disagree with Danyl. He gave his best performance in the first audition (where he wasn't required to sing a great deal thanks to the chorus), and has unsuccessfully emulated it since, mostly by gesturing as if he needs a shit.

Of course he shed a few tears and is bisexual though, so that automatically means the public will feel sorry for him and he'll make the final.

I don't agree with the bottom two last night what so ever. All three of the boys were utter shit I thought and at least one of them should of been there. Shocked that the public seemingly haven't taken to Rachel, when she's one of the few people on the show who feel like an 'artist' and not just an average singer.

I don't think it helped that she was on first - as shown in previous shows the ones who sing/perform first can suffer in the voting and that possibly had an effect.

  7. I have hated Danyl since the start - the whole mouth thing, not sticking to the words & ad-libbing and the fact he can't keep fucking still have really pushed my buttons but weirdly last night was the first time I thought yeah he's not bad (and it was before the whole Dannii thing). My favourites are Olly and Stacey and have been since the start, both good singers and just normal people.

Like someone else said Cheryl has royally fucked up her choices, I hope she loses one or two in the early weeks it would shut her smug mouth up - I really am not a fan of Mrs. Cole.

  8. I'm doing reasonably well in my second season with Steven Gerrard led-Man City but players are always down as "feeling not part of the team" even players who I signed a year ago - has anyone got any ways to sort it out as morale isn't a problem but whenever someone comes in for a player they wanna go...

  9. Bwahahahahaha.

"I put a leash on people who spunk money up the wall". Next week is gonna be excellent.

Also, I wouldn't read this unless you saw the "next week on The Apprentice" thing or don't mind being spoiled a little:

Looks like he'll fire two people as well, which will make the final interesting. In an ideal world he'd fire Debra and Lorraine but I think he'll want Debra in the final. I think Yasmina will win so I'm guessing two of Kate, James and Lorraine are gone next week. Hopefully Lorraine is one of them, she's just a mess.

I think he'll fire three actually as at the end in the "Next week on The Apprentice" he said it three times, meaning it'll be a 1 vs 1 final which I am happy with as didn't like the 2 vs 2 final last year that much.

Really enjoyed last night's show as the TV selling task is always a doozy - the wrong person went in my opinion Sir Alan got it wrong...

  10. I'm the biggest Ben fan but I think he just about had to go. As much as I hate Debra I think she fought well having better arguments/answers to Sir Alan than Ben unfortunately. I have this feeling one of the favourites (Kate or Yasmina) are gonna slip up next week on the TV selling task and fall hugely on their own sword - quote me if you wanna - I just hope it's not James.

My Final Four: James, Yasmina, Lorraine & Debra (Believe me I really don't wanna put either Debra or Lorraine on there but they fight for their lives in that boardroom)

  11. I agree, it's not like they're the first team to suffer from some questionable refereeing decisions and lose to an injury time goal. Drogba, Ballack and co. are supposed to be professionals of the highest order, but they didn't conduct themselves as such and Drogba's persistence after the whistle could've easily earnt him a red card, as could Ballack. I didn't see Lampard doing any of this childish whining, in fact what I did see was a show of respect, swapping shirts with his opposite number who scored the winning goal.

And this is why some people should really start respecting Lampard a bit more - even though the rest were going mental Lampard showed a bit of decorum.

Undeserved for Chelsea but Man U/Barca should be a doozy...

  12. The most one-sided victory ever in my opinion although this series is looking like the weakest so far with too many literally useless candidates - I'm glad Kimberley went as she was terrible and annoyed me so much this week as she was just a lot of hot air not doing what she does for her day job!

Am I the only one who actually quite likes Ben?!

    Nick and Margaret > All
