  1. Once again, thanks for the update !

    CHIKARA :

    Roster :

    - Release Sean Waltman

    - Release Marty Jannetty

    - Release Matt Jackson

    - Release Nick Jackson

I think that we won't see them again soon because they were only guest, just like Colt Cabana who is announced to wrestle against Icarus this month but I don't see the point of adding him in the "regular" roster.

Concerning Soldier Ant, he left CHIKARA last month, but I assume it's only a part of what I call the "Colony/Swarm/Xtreme Force Storyline" so keep him in the roster for the moment.

    Tag Team :

NOTE : I think that would be a good idea to "mass delete" all of CHIKARA's Tag Team in order to have a "clean" database due to the fact that a lot of team are composed by wrestlers who were only guest or who aren't part of the roster anymore.

Once you did that, here is the team (both active and inactive) I would add based solely on active CHIKARA wrestlers :

    Active Regular :

3.0 (Scott Parker & Shane Matthews) Exp : Maximum - Formed : February 2006 - Finisher : Sweet Taste of Professionalism

    The Colony (Fire Ant & assailANT) Exp : Low - Formed : March 2012 - Finisher :

Chuck Taylor & Johnny Gargano Exp : Medium - Formed : September 2010

    Icarus & Sugar Dunkerton Exp : Low - Formed : August 2012

The Spectral Envoy (Hallowicked & Frightmare) Exp : Medium - Formed : January 2009

Pieces of Hate (Jigsaw & The Shard) Exp : Low - Formed : December 2012

The Batiri (Obariyon & Kodama) Exp : High - Formed : September 2010

Devastation Corporation (Max Smashmaster & Blaster McMassive) Exp : Low - Formed : August 2012

Los Ice Creams (Ice Cream Jr. & Hijo Del Ice Cream) Exp : High - Formed : June 2006

    Active Occasional :

The Colony II (Fire Ant & Green Ant) Exp : Medium - Formed : July 2009

The Throwbacks (Dasher Hatfield/Create-A-Wrestler & Mark Angelosetti) Exp : Low - Formed : February 2012

Tim Donst & Jakob Hammermeier Exp : Low - Formed : April 2011

The Spectral Envoy II (UltraMantis Black & Hallowicked) - Exp : Medium - Formed : May 2004

The Spectral Envoy III (UltraMantis Black & Frightmare) - Exp : Low - Formed : February 2011

The Batiri II (Kobald & Obariyon) - Exp : Low - Formed : February 2011

The Batiri III (Kobald & Kodama) - Exp : Low - Formed : February 2011

    GEKIDO (The Shard & deviANT) - Exp : Low - Formed : April 2012

    Inactive Regular :

The Colony III (Fire Ant & Soldier Ant) - Exp : Maximum - Formed : February 2006

    The Throwbacks II (Dasher Hatfield/Create-A-Wrestler & Sugar Dunkerton) - Exp : Low - Formed : October 2009

    F.I.S.T. (Gran Akuma & Icarus) - Exp : Maximum - Formed : May 2003

    Incoherence (Hallowicked & Delirious) - Exp : Medium - Formed : February 2006

    Quack'n'Saw (Mike Quackenbush & Jigsaw) - Exp : High - Formed : September 2004

The Osirian Portal (Amasis & Ophidian) - Exp : Maximum - Formed : September 2007

The Swarm (Soldier Ant & deviANT) - Exp : Low - Formed : July 2012

    Inactive Occasional :

The Colony IV (Soldier Ant & Green Ant) - Exp : Medium - Formed : July 2009

    F.I.S.T. II (Gran Akuma & Chuck Taylor) - Exp : Low - Formed : February 2007

    F.I.S.T. III (Icarus & Chuck Taylor) Exp : High - Formed : February 2007

EDIT : I wanna add something else about tag team but this time it's more general :

Before, I never entered in the "Edit Database - Tag Team" menu (that's why last month I expressed tag team experience with number and not with level) but I remarqued something.

When you create/edit a tag team, there is a "company" tab where you can put "None". In this case, after what I understood because english isn't my primary language, it means that two wrestlers currently team in different company under the same name.

In my opinion, it would be a good thing to choose this option instead of leaving one copy of each tag team for each promotion, only if the team has the same name everywhere it is active.

I don't know if what I say is clear, but I'll try to explain with some exemples :

    - Chuck Taylor & Johnny Gargano : In the database (after my previous modification), they team in 3 promotions :

CHIKARA : As F.I.S.T. (Where they are actives as a team)
PWG : As Chuck Taylor and Johnny Gargano (where they are also actives)

DGUSA : As Ronin I (inactive tag team)

In this case, for the same team, we have 3 name and 2 differents team type. So, to keep the 3 versions is acceptable.

    - Scott "Jagged" Parker & Shane Matthews : In the database, they team 4 times, even though there are some mistakes :

    CZW : As 2.0 (Active)

    CHIKARA : As 3.0 (Active)

    PWG : As 2.0 (Inactive)

None : As "The Badd Boyz" (Active)

This time, my opinion would be to keep only one tag team for them :

    None : As 3.0 (Active)

I would choose that because they solely team under the name 3.0 everywhere they wrestle (according to cagematch, I'm not aware of everything) and in this case, they would be set as an Active - Regular tag team only in federations where they wrestle together. It means that their PWG Team is useless since they don't wrestle in that promotion anymore. (The Badd Boyz is also useless because they don't use this name anymore, same for their CZW Team but for both reasons.)

I don't know if all of you get my point but that would permit to reduce the number of irrelevant tag team, plus the fact that will allow AI controlled promotions to make the team active if they get both wrestlers during a game.

Of course, everything I put under spoiler could be discussed and I know that if what I recommend is chosen to be applied, that would be a lot of work for cpt.charisma, but I could largely contribute to it. (Unlike everything that is related to worker's stats and popularity...)

  2. I haven't seen anybody talk about PWG since a moment so here is some modification to make concerning teams :

    Active Tag Team

Note concerning experience : I used the "TEW System" where two wrestlers gains one exp. point each match they are teaming together. That's why some team like Roderick Strong & Edwards have less experience. I used the cagematch database to know how many time two wrestlers have teamed together.

    Regular :

    - DojoBros. (Roderick Strong & Eddie Edwards) (Exp : 15) - Formed : August 2011 (Their first match together in PWG, not the very first one. It'll be the same for the other teams)

    - Inner City Machine Guns (Ricochet & Rich Swann) (Exp : 13) - Formed : January 2013

    - Super Smash Bros. (Player Uno & Stupefied/Player Dos) (Exp : 100) - Formed : September 2011

    - RockNes Monsters (Johnny Yuma & Johnny Goodtime) (Exp : 96) - Formed : December 2010

    - The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) (Exp : 100) - Formed : June 2007

    - Unbreakable FN' Machines (Brian Cage & Michael Elgin) (Exp : 4) - Formed : January 2013

    Occasional :

    - Future Shock (Adam Cole & Kyle O'Reilly) (Exp : 37) - Formed : October 2011

All other team must be made "Inactive"

Maybe add Johnny Gargano to PWG with a PPA Deal (of course). I heard an interview of him where, after what I understood, he intends to become a PWG regular.

If you add him, make another "regular" team :

    Chuck Taylor & Johnny Gargano (exp : 28) - Formed : March 2013

Concerning PWG product, I think that would be a good idea to put the Face/Heel Devide off.

I thought of that because PWG sees some of Heel vs Heel match up where a worker/team works more as a Face.

The most notable exemple I remember is during "Mystery Vortex" where The Dojo Bros. acted as face against the Young Bucks in the opening match but as heel in their match against The SSB.

  3. I haven't download it already, but as usual, thanks for the work Cap'!

    ROH 11th Anniversary Spoiler :

    - Matt Taven is the new ROH TV Champion

    - redDRagon (Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly) are the new ROH Tag Team Champions

    - Add the returning Jimmy Rave (Heel) to ROH as a member of "SCUM"

    - Add Rhett Titus, Matt Hardy and Cliff Compton as members of "SCUM" - Make them heel if they are not.

  4. For Mantis, I thought of a gimmick which was in EWR 4.2. but which isn't in TEW Database (or maybe under another name) : the "Inspirational Leader" gimmick. I would make that gimmick this way : same stat requirement that for "Cult Leader" but rated A for babyfaces and D+ for heels. (instead of D+/A for "Cult Leader")

Of course, to create a unique "Great and Devious" gimmick for Mantis would be relevant with the new "Generic/Not generic" classification.

Same problem with Wicked. I don't know what to choose as his gimmick... Maybe just let him with a "Mysterious" gimmick. (In this case, Hallowicked will need some stats modifications)

And finally, for The Batiri (except Delirious which is clearly a "Cult Leader"), I didn't thought about an alternative for them yet. (Maybe "Occult" for Ophidian but this gimmick will ask important stats change)

EDIT : Just a quick edit to say that I'm currently working on Chikara Titles Lineages

EDIT 2 : If someone is interested with my work until now, here is a DL link for my Chikara edited database :

    http://www.mediafire.com/?d811mr7riu1scxn

I modified Hallowicked to have skills to use the "Mysterious" gimmick properly and I created the "Great and Devious" gimmick for UMB.

All of the Batiri are still "Acolyte" though.

If you check this, also read the note inside and PM me for review.

  5. Here is another update for Chikara but this one concern the Promotion Product, because I don't think that "Fun For All The Family", "Goofy Lucha Fun" or "High Spot Spectacle" really fit Chikara.

Style Name : Puro Lucha Fun

Match Type Booking AI For Events/TV :

20% everywhere (Chikara books a lot of differents match-up in a well rounded maneer)

    Expected Match Lenghts (Events/TV) :

    Minor Match : 10

    Medium Match : 15

    Main Match : 22

I didn't make any difference between "Events" and "TV" Match because I don't think that a Chikara controled by the CPU can reach a level where they can have an important TV contract (and even more because of the "Product Appeal Definition" that I choose - just check the Analysis under spoiler below). And even in this case, the card booking type would be still quite the same.

    Product Appeal Definition :

    - Traditional : Key Feature

    - Mainstream : Low

    - Comedy : Heavy

    - Cult : Medium

    - Risque : None

    - Modern : Medium

    - Realism : Low

    - Hyper Realism : None

    - Hardcore : None

    - Lucha Libre : Medium

    - Pure : Medium

    - Daredevil : Heavy

    Then use "Auto Set Product"

    Match Intensity : 40%

    Match Danger : 65%

    Women's Wrestling : Integrated

    T&A Levels : None

Face / Heel Divide : Yes

    Analysis :

...will mean wrestlers are rated more on performance than popularity.

...will mean that fans will expect all wrestlers to be packaged with a proper gimmick.

...will attract fans who won't be keen on gimmicks.

...will attract fans who will not like highly risky gimmicks.

...will attract fans who like their gimmicks to be simple.

...will attract fans who will not 'get' subtle gimmicks.

...will attract fans who will be put off by low risk matches.

...will prevent the company from getting Afternoon TV time slots on some networks.

...will prevent the company from getting Early Evening TV time slots on some networks.

...will prevent the company from getting TV slots on Mainstream networks.

...will make getting sponsorship a little tough.

...will mean that the 'young lion' system will not be taken into account at anytime

Of course, I'm okay with any suggestion or idea.

    EDIT :

Here is another suggestion but which concern every workers, not just the Chikara roster.

This one concern the new weight system introduced in TEW 2013 (where a wrestler can lose/gain a "weight" category) and, for now, only the "Lightweight" wrestlers.

I think that a lightweight wrestler can't lose weight to become a "small" wrestler so, "Lightweight" should be their actual AND minimum weight (and Middleweight their maximum, except particular cases)

Here is an explanation to that : let's take two former partners Cheech Hernandez - 6'0"/176 lbs - listed as a Lightweight wrestler, and Cloudy - 5'5"/150 lbs - listed as a Small wrestler.

I just don't see a guy like Cheech who is already a "skinny" - but quite tall - wrestler lose 16 lbs or, even worse and impossible, some of his size to become a "small" wrestler like Cloudy (but instead, it's a possibility that Cloudy can gain some "muscle" or "fat" pounds to become a "Lightweight").

I know that there is still a lot of works and more important things to do in order to have complete roster for every indies and foreign promotions, but I'm sure that would make the game more realistic this way.

  6. Bringing in more gimmicks is not a bad idea, as one of TEW2013's new features was the effect of multiple people with the same gimmick could effect whoever's doing it worse.

Yeah, it's true that we can now create "Unique" or "Generic" gimmick ! With that, I'm totally sure to keep Archie's gimmick (and even create one for Kobald and other wrestlers for whom I can't find a proper gimmick)

Anyway, this is what I made for "Masked" workers :

    assailANT ----> Outsider

    deviANT ----> Outsider

    El Generico ----> Show Stealer

Note : Generico is a "Special Attraction" in CHIKARA and always deliver great performances.

Fire Ant ----> Daredevil or Old School Face

    Frightmare ----> High Energy

Green Ant ----> Daredevil or Old School Face

    Jigsaw ----> Turncoat

    - Raise his microphone skills to 53 to make the gimmick works

    Saturyne ----> Underdog

Note : She is the only woman in Chikara, definitely isn't like SDR and in my eyes, is booked as "weak" (I don't remember all of her matches, but it's clear when you look at her confrontation with Donst back in August)

    Soldier Ant ----> Forced Heel

Note : Not "Armed Force" because it doesn't fit him in the game, and being forced to team with GEKIDO make the chosen gimmick fit.

    The Shard ----> Outsider

I only have problem with UltraMantis Black's and Hallowicked's gimmick.

About Mantis, Cult Leader can work, but it's more a heel than a face gimmick AND it doesn't suit him so I'll have to make modification on his stats. That's why I think that "Fan Favourite" is a better idea. It will imply stats modifcation too, but it's a face gimmick, and Mantis is one of the guy (if not, the guy) who has the most important fanbase.

I also think of "Fan Favorite" for Wicked, but I'm even less sure that for Mantis.

  7. I would suggest giving Eddie Kingston the "Bad Ass" gimmick; he pretty much embodies that gimmick. Gran Akuma could possibly use "Bad Ass" too; he has some martial arts offence, but it's not really his gimmick per-sé, which is more that of a no-nonsense ass kicker.

I'm not sure if "Marching Band Member" is really necessary to create as a gimmick; you'll end up getting into a situation where you're creating a new gimmick for practically every worker. Also, the fact that he's from a marching band has for a long time been a minor part of Archie's gimmick - I'm not even sure what you'd class him as now. It's also highly likely that Archie's character will change quite a lot next season, so I'd maybe hold off and see how he's presented in the future before changing that. For now, a more generic "Fun Babyface", "Weirdo", anything based in comedy/weird could work.

I definitely wouldn't make Jakob ambiguously gay. That's not his gimmick at all; he sometimes plays it that way, but it's not his gimmick. I'd go with "Lackey" or something similar for the time being.

    I'd shy away from relying on "Masked Wrestler" gimmicks for CHIKARA workers; for the majority of workers in CHIKARA, the fact that they wear a mask isn't their gimmick. Similarly to how, when doing lucha stats, you wouldn't give every single masked luchadore "masked wrestler" or "masked luchadore" as their gimmick, I'd argue against it in CHIKARA too. Some suggestions there (apologies if any gimmick names are incorrect, I'm working from memory);

    assailANT - Outsider

    Soldier Ant - Armed Forces

    The Shard - Outsider

    Ultramantis Black - Cult Leader

I'm not sure what gimmick you'd give Fire Ant and Green Ant at this point, though "Old School Face" is as good as any.

I'm also not entirely convinced by "Acolyte" for The Batiri and Ophidian. Possibly for Obariyon and Kodama, though it may be worth creating a new gimmick for Kobald, as I'm not sure anything represents him all that well, similar for Ophidian.

Hallowicked and Frightmare...I'm not really sure how you'd sum up their gimmicks at this point? Almost "Goth", in a way.

Here is some explanation on my work, even if I am globally agree with you :

    - Eddie Kinston : I wanted to let him with a "Bad Ass" gimmick, but when I saw the description of "True Born" (A character who was made by the company for the company, to become the leader for the next generation.) I felt that's exactly how Kingston have been sold to us by Quack since he became the Grand Champion.

    - Gran Akuma : When I saw him with a "No Gimmick Needed" gimmick, I immediately think of giving him the "Martial Artist" gimmick, but you're right, Bad Ass could work too even if for me, Akuma is like a "ruthless kicking warrior", I don't really know how to explain, but I'm sure that there is a better gimmick to represent this.

    - Archibald Peck : I'm okay with the fact that adding a new gimmick for every wrestler would be a bad idea but I just don't see him with a gimmick as simple as "Fun Babyface". Being a Marching Band guy is how he was introduced to us and we still call him "Archie Marchie". So, just like for Los Ice Creams who, in my opinion, needed an "Ice Cream" gimmick (in the database they're listed with an "Undead" gimmick), Archie needs a "Marching Band Guy" gimmick. (If I can find something great in the "original" database, I'll go for it. But for now, I would stay with what I made.)

    - Jakob Hammermeier : Being "Ambiguously Gay" isn't the main focus of his character, you've got a point. The main focus, for me, is that he is literally obsessed by Tim Donst who reject him. I'll try to find something close to this idea, but for now, I am agree with the "Lackey" gimmick.

    - The "Masked Wrestler/Luchadore" case :

I'm totally agree with the fact that theses gimmick shouldn't be use in a fed like Chikara (that's why I chose "Gentleman" for Dasher) but like I said, I wanted to work on that later but you brought me good advices and I think that I'll do it now. The main problem is that some gimmicks which could fit them in reality, don't work in the game (by exemple : Armed Force for Soldier... But I think that "Forced Heel" can work). So to make them work properly, I'll have to modify some of the workers' stats and I'm not very familiar with the scale used on the forum. I'll make some test, and I'll be back with needed stats change to see if they fit the wrestler in real life. (Same for The Batiri)

  8. I don't think the Ophidian/Batiri group is called The Dark Army anymore. On the Chikara roster page, their affiliation is simply listed as The Batiri.

If that's what the roster page says, I'm okay with that !

NOTE 1 : I know that there is a lot of workers who are "Masked Luchador" or "Masked Wrestler" as their gimmick but I'll try to find something better for them, but I think it's good for now.

NOTE 2 : I will also work on non-wrestler workers (gimmick change, needed stat and missing staff). I think that's what I'll do next.

NOTE 3 : Maybe that I'll check every wrestlers' stats but even if I play TEW since years, I'm not very talented to find the good stats but I'll do my best if I find something "weird"

NOTE 4 : I also planned to work on every CHIKARA biography for all the current roster but my english is far from perfect so I think that I'll need help with that. I won't do it immediately though but if someone want to help, PM me.

I think that I will also add Da Soul Touchaz (Willie "Da Bomb" Richardson, Marshe Rockett and Acid Jazz) because they'll be back at the next Chikara event.

I'll also work on wrestler's biography then tag team/stable.

  11. I'm new to TEW 2010 (but a regular user of EWR) and I wanted to say thank you for this real world update, great job !

Here is some modifications to make for CHIKARA :

    Roster modification :

    - Add Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson as Heel. They're the new Campeones de Parejas.

    - Add "Colour Commentator" as a "sometimes" favoured role for UltraMantis Black. Also, raise his Announcing abilities to, at least, C- because he comments most of Chikara's match and do a good job.

    - Add El Generico. He's not a full-time worker for Chikara, but he can be considered as a recurring guest. (like Colt Cabana or The Bravado Brothers)

    - Add Sugar Dunkerton as a Face

    - Add Gran Akuma as a Face

    - Create Jakob Hammermeier (Heel), Saturyne (Face), Kobald (Heel), Mark Angelosetti (Face) 17 (Heel) & The Shard (Heel). I'll try to provide stats for them.

    - Add Obariyon, Kodama and Kobald as Chikara Wrestle Factory graduate (Graduation year 2010)

    - Add Saturyne, 17, the Shard, assailANT, deviANT and combattANT as Chikara Wrestle Factory graduate (Graduation year 2011)

    Tag Team Modification :

    - Raise Batiri experience to D

    - Create Batiri II (Obariyon and Kobald) with D- Exp.

    - Create Batiri III (Kodama and Kobald) with D- Exp.

    - Create F.I.S.T. IV (Chuck Taylor and Johnny Gargano) as a regular team with D exp.

    - Create F.I.S.T. V (Icarus and Johnny Gargano) as an occasional team with E Exp.

    - Make Dark Breed (UMB & Hallowicked) an active-occasional team, and rename it "The Spectral Envoy" with E Exp.

    - Create Gekido (17 & The Shard) as an active team with E Exp.

    - Create The Swarm (assailANT/combatANT), The Swarm II (assailANT/deviANT) and The Swarm III (combatANT/deviANT) as regular teams with E Exp.

    - Create BDK (Tim Donst/Jakob Hammermeier) as a regular team with E+ Exp.

    - Add The Throwbacks IV (Dasher Hatfield/Mark Angelosetti) as a regular team with E Exp.

    Stable Modification :

    - Rename The Dark Army to The Batiri, add Delirious and Kobald

    - Make The Osirian Portal inactive

    - Add a Gekido stable consisting of 17, The Shard, assailANT, combatANT, deviANT with D- Momentum

    - Add The Swarm consisting of assailANT, combatANT, deviANT with D- Momentum

    - Add Team 3.0lé consisting of El Generico, Scott "Jagged" Parker and Shane Matthews

That's all I see for now. I know that's a lot of work so I'll try to do it myself at first.
