  1. Snyder has made enough good to great movies to make up for Sucker Punch. 300, Dawn of the Dead, and Watchmen. How can this be compared to Michael Bay is beyond me who has yet to make one great movie. The first Transformers was okay, but other than that Bay hasn't done shit but produce shit since then.

  2. Anybody know if The Astonishing X-Men is any good? I got issues 1-4 from my mother today for my birthday, wonderful lady still supports my comic book addiction after all these year.

I got the first six books, the first five have been good, but with the five book, they changed writers/art work, doesn't look as good. Haven't read the sixth yet, but yeah, I'd recommend it. I heard it starts getting real bad pretty soon though.

Dang, that's pretty disappointing but at least it seems to have had a good run.

  3. The Sitter is pretty bad. I watched it for the first time since seeing it in theaters last night and besides the soundtrack and the little girl this movie was just bad. I appreciate that they tried to add more story and develop the childrens characters more than I originally expected but overall this movie just isn't good.

  4. Tonight's series finale of Eastbound & Down was great. Probably the best show of the series as well, definitely it's best mix of comedy and drama in an episode. They have really stepped up their game to put on a great final season, the writing has definitely improved greatly over the previous seasons. Though the comedy has kind of taken a step back for the drama this season, I still found this season to be hilarious. And after watching all of the season earlier, I find stuff that I never caught before that cracks me up.

An example of how well they blended the comedy and the drama this episode was when Stevie finally became a man, choosing his family over Kenny and their final good byes I was in tears, but was still cracking up at the dialogue. And Stevie's ridiculous wig and fake eye brows.

Oh, and Seth Rogen's cameo was great. Hilarious way to start an episode.

I think it would have been better if he really died.

I don't know, I don't think his death really would've been necessary since he already chose april and toby over the majors.

And yeah it's the final season, I remember reading an interview when season one started where McBride said they originally wanted Eastbound to be a movie, but when HBO offered them a show, he said they only picture it as a three season show from then on.

Actually i just read a Q&A danny mcbride posted on facebook and he admitted to having plans if a season four gets made. So it might not be the last season. Anything that gets more Kenny Powers and Stevie on my television I am completely fine with. Here's a link to the interview, it does seem like a fourth season is possible, saying they left the season open for another.

  7. In Time is still one of the biggest disappointments I've seen in a long time. I don't know if my expectations were too high, but damn you got be a complete moron to screw up such an easy yet unique story.

Cabin in the Woods - First off I am far from a fan of horror movies, with the exception of the 28 _ Later series, and though Cabin in the Woods isn't as good it's damn close. And the comedy in it is actually... funny! Everything just worked for the movie. My favorite movie I've seen this year so far, so if you like horror movies I would definitely recommend it.

  8. I'm not really into Marvel too much outside of a couple X Men series and the new Avengers vs. X Men that started last week. But if you're looking into getting into some DC, they just recently rebooted all of their comics, with the New 52. I'd say that's the best bet to start with at the moment. Batman, Green Lantern, and Swamp Thing are all very easy follow even if you haven't read any other comic previously of theirs.

  9. Green Lantern I am REALLY enjoying. It's definitely got one of the better stories of the new 52. Detective Comics, I really lost interest in. I mean the first four issues are pretty good, but after that it goes down hill. Justice League is pretty cool, the art more than makes up for the somewhat medicore story, you could definitely do worse.

Swamp Thing, my god I cannot recommend enough! Beautifully illustrated and my favorite story out of the new 52 I've read so far. I honestly can't stop reading them. Definitely pick up Swamp Thing you will not be disappointed. Unfortunately, that's all I've read that you've listed sorry. Not listed I'd check out Batman by Scott Snyder, definitely the best Batman series out of the new 52. Nothing else really comes close, though I've yet to read the Batman and Robin series.

  10. American Reunion was actually very good. I mean it's nowhere near as funny as 21 Jump Street, nor will I probably even remember it a year from now but it was a lot better than I was expecting after seeing the trailers. If you've seen the first three and enjoyed them, there's really not a reason to see it. It's probably the best of the American Pie series.

And holy shit, NPH having a quick cameo in it was awesome.

But oh my sweet jesus, the past four or five movies I have seen my favorite part has been the Prometheus trailer. I can't wait.

  11. 1. Batman The Animated Series

    2. Avatar The Last Airbender

    3. Rurouni Kenshin

    4. Samurai Jack

    5. Fooly Cooly

    6.Dragon Ball Z

    7. South Park

    8. Yu Yu Hakusho

    9. Home Movies

    10. Clerks - awesome series but too short to be any higher
