  1. Verbose explanations of suspicion vs the use of FOS is actually based on the users of said board and the regular players.

In a metagame where most players are meticulous, take the time to read every word, and are able to be concist while being explicative, then I can see a rational annoyance to the FOS.

In a metagame where many players do not post often, skim, lurk, and where players often allow Day 1 deadlines to go by through indifference or a lack of give-a-damn, something punchy and quick is superior so that people can be encouraged to show up and at least skim the thread and provide content, even if minimal.

Your Mileage May Vary. But for my money, I like FOS. It's a quick and easy to use tool.

    FOS me for post editting

THE POWER OF DESTRUCITY HAS LEAD ME TO THIS CONCLUSION. I HAVE COME NOT TO TAKE AND NOT TO GIVE BUT TO PRESERVE... PRESERVE THE POWER OF THE WARRIORS AND BRING TO YOU LIVE THE DESTRUCITY THAT LIVES WITHIN THE HEARTS AND SOULS OF THE GODS.

I WILL NOT BE CONTENT TO WATCH OR TO FOLLOW FOR WHILE OTHERS SIT IDLE AND ALLOW THE FURIES AND OPHANIM CONSUME THE SOULS OF THE MEAK, I SHALL RUN FORTH WITH THE POWER OF A KRAKAN RIDING A HURRICANE SWALLOWING A FRIEGHT TRAIN!

AND THEN AT ROYAL SURVIVOR RUMBLE KING OF THE SUMMERSLAM SERIES...

    I

    WILL

    SURVIVE!!!!!!

or... um... /in for either replacement or main. Either's good.

  3. I find it interesting that Pizza seems to nearly always believe me, when most of the other players in a game want me dead.

I wont talk about the most recent example(game ongoing) but back in draft picks mafia, I was the town roleblocker and had stopped a kill but then got lynched under suspicion of being the scum roleblocker.

Pizza was the only townie that believed me.

I suppose it depends on the scenario, but I could see a lot of suspicion on someone who claims roleblocker. It depends on the amount of suspicion they have, and if they can put forth a breadtrail of roleblocks.

It's a hard role to claim as a defense unless you have some powerful variant that protects the target from all abilities as it prevents them from using any abilities... but me and Rider don't talk about that game.

  4. The Legitimate Hyberboloid's Buckminsterfullerene.

I did this too. It seems to get harder and harder to play that role, though. I dunno whether it's because your arguments become predictable, or because you increasingly just need to avoid suspicion. I got particularly bad at playing scum at one point because I was just desperately trying to avoid getting investigated, so I didn't play my usual townie game of leading discussion.

Yeah, I remember Bill (from the other board, really good town player) was asking me for advice on how to scum better. My advice was simple.

    'Scumhunt.'
