  1. The deciding match of the Team Do versus The Drunken Posse followed, Yano and his crew were out first and began giving out free sake to the front row, much to their delight. Kashiwa and Ishizaki fought much of their match whilst Yano stood in his corner, swigging sake from a bottle. Yano, eventually tagged in... an preceded to collapse in a drunken stupor, allowing Jado to cover him for an easy victory. After the match, both teams continued the sake party, toasting each other and dragging a comatose Yano backstage.

  2. As much as I love this [which is a lot] it is missing a representative of Visual Kei [X-Japan or Malice Mizer style], if only for the hilarity that could ensue between Minoru Romeo and a gothic, cross dressing psychopath... Plus it would be one of the only distinctly Japanese style of music represented. Although I am seriously liking the Romeo/Thomaselli tag team, hopefully Romeo gets a clean win somewhere...

  3. Gotta love the Tigre Ogre and the lights... Where does he come from? Where does he go? The Mystery~! Also Yay! for Stalker Ishikawa 2005, aka. Kitao Hamasaki! I get this strange feeling you're pushing this guy The Great Super Tiger all the way to the moon and back, which might kinda turn him into Tiger Heaven's Dragon Kid down the road, but on the other hand, once the novelty of Super Tiger has worn off, there'll be a whole bunch of people who could take his place as the Ace of Tiger Heaven.

  4. Hey wait, isn't NOAH now finished? And doesn't that also give WAR an incredible opportunity to stage one of the biggest matches of the year? Hell, you could be able to sell out the Tokyo Dome with Kenny vs. A Decent Draw and those two other guys. You know, the one with the yellow boots and that other one with the forearms. I'd kill to see someone actually put that in a diary...

  5. Yay! Dai-chan marks for MMA fighters being lariated the hell out of the ring! Welcome to the Revolution, Arlovski!

One thing about CIMA though, I've never seen him do the Mad Splash after anything other than the Iconoclasm or -on special occaisions- the Goriconoclasm [Cross arm Iconoclasm.], which is in turn preceded by the Venus palm strike [shotei Style!], such an action would destroy the very fabric this world is created from. This of course is the one tiny problem I have with this diary, I like it.

By the way, is that Lion Heart as in Jericho?

EDIT: to clarify, CIMA sits his victim on the top rope, [sometimes rolls] hits them with a jumping shotei [or three. sometimes he rolls then hits three...], The Venus, hits them with the Iconoclasm then hits the Mad Splash. Meh, maybe I'm being finickey but the man's been doing that for years. It would be like Liger without his mask, Shinzaki not being a buddhist monk or Kawada not kicking people in the face really hard.

  6. Ryusuke Taguchi vs. Tony Zaretti

As one of NJPW's young lions on his learning excursion, it's probably not a good idea to job Taguchi out to anyone with less experience than him. Plus Taguchi also does a Dropkick of Immense Perfectness.

Luke Carter Debut Match: Luke Carter vs. Paul Johnson

I'm sorry Lukie, you're going down in your debut.

Different Style Fight: Derek Riggs vs. Michael Robinson

The MMA style should give Riggs an advantage over fellow young lion, and would I be right in saying that Riggs is bigger than Robinson? Riggs gets his first win in the Faux-MMA enviornment.

Different Style Fight: Chuck Howard vs. Dwight Douglas

Douglas has slid too far, too fast to be able to pull off an upset against one of the MMA stars... Plus Howard has the MMA style rules going for him

Different Style Fight: Tito Gonzalez vs. Thomas Moore

So far, I've picked what seem to be the obvious choices. If there's going to an upset, it'll be here.

Different Style Fight: Keiji Sasaki vs. X

I'd love to see you bring in someone from BAKU for this, hell bring Mr. Tadakichi, the happy dancing bear in! [Or not...] But on a night where the #1 Contender is crowned, the champion needs to stay strong.

NFA Heavyweight Title #1 Contenders Match - Different Style Fight: Alvin Jones vs. Josh Harrington

Well, in my reasoning for Howard vs. Douglas I said the MMA style environment would work in the MMA fighters favour, I don't think that applies as much here with Josh "Mr. NEO-GEN" Harrington. But I think that jobbing Harrington out to Sasaki with a clear fall is a mistake. Sasaki can't lose the title match without a defence, but I don't think in the long term a promotion centred around making Pro Wrestling credible is going to kill the credibility of their Main Pro Wrestler. Hmm... Actually, a hard fought loss against Sasaki may not be a bad thing, probably better than a loss to Alvin, so after all my pointless rambling, I've finally picked Harrington...

  7. Sorry I don't have any interesting insight in the way of feedback, but hey, good stuff. ^_^

    Ryusuke Taguchi vs. Paul Johnson

No point bringing in Taguchi just to job, and I think Johnson has the lowest rank out of all of NEO-GEN

    Tony Zaretti vs. Dwight Douglas

After losing to Alvin, Douglas needs to rebound.

High Roller Tag Cup Semi-Final: Keiji Sasaki & Keiji Sakoda vs. Alvin Jones & Michael Robinson

I can see a Misawa vs. Kawada style rivalry between Jones and Harrington, with Harrington as the golden boy Misawa, with Kawada/Jones constantly trying to beat him. Maybe it's just the kicks...

High Roller Tag Cup Semi-Final: Josh Harrington & Thomas Moore vs. Chuck Howard & Tito Gonzalez

It's Josh's night I think, for the reasons I outlined above.

Derek Riggs Debut Match: Derek Riggs vs. Iceman

A strong debut showing, for Riggs, but Triangle Choke at 6 minutes will be all.

High Roller Tag Cup Final: Alvin Jones & Michael Robinson vs. Josh Harrington & Thomas Moore

I said a Misawa/Kawada rivalry, which entails the guy in Misawa's position to be a bigger star. It starts here, Harrington beats Robinson, and Alvin gets a bit riled that Josh couldn't beat him personally.

  8. Michael Robinson vs. Paul Johnson

I'm not sure, but I'm just saying this to be different.

    Iceman vs. Tony Zaretti

Iceman seems to be being pushed as an outsider threat, but Zaretti seems to be a bit of a jobber.

    Thomas Moore vs. Alvin Jones

He's just come of a win in a match which was built up quite a bit, so in what I think is the only point I've differed with GoGo, Jones wins.

    Josh Harrington vs. Dwight Douglas

Harrington is "The symbol of NEO-GEN," and isn't losing here.

Keiji Sakoda & Keiji Sasaki vs. Tito Gonzalez & Chuck Howard

As much as I want to see Team 2K [or whatever they're called] win here, it makes more sence for there to be more than Josh as a contender for the belt.

  9. Wahey! Another Puro diary not run by a complete fool. Damn .400 Studios forum... 3 Puro Diaries, all three have no idea about puro. New Japan turned to Sports Entertainment? ARGH!!! Misawa back ing All Japan? DIE FOOLISH HUMANS!!! Last time someone tried anything like that here, he was flamed so bad, no-one's seen him since... OK, so my small collection of NOAH tapes doesn't make me Mr. Puro... But I digress. Keep it up! Just one question, are all your shows gonna be so brief? I hope not...

  10. Wahey! I really like this diary... No-one else seems to capture their wrestlers in their actual wrestling styles, beyond saying how they hit a few of their trademark moves, but even then... And SUWA's Returned!!! ^_^ I have one question though, how do you sim realistic tours in TEW? Is it just a series of house shows? Or do you actually book all the shows?
