Hey - I'm struggling to get the update working (I'm likely doing something wrong) but every time I try to drag the data over to the EWR 4-2 folder, I reboot the game and it still has the original 2016 version that I originally downloaded. Any clue where I've messed up?

Copy the data folder from the link above. Paste it over the current Data folder. (Make sure you actually copy it) and then the game should have the update.

I feel like I might be doing something wrong because the same thing happened again lol I'm basically doing the same thing I always do when I add the update but the same result happened like last time . I'm so sorry for being a pain in the ass lol I'm probably just gonna move things around instead because I feel bad now haha

Are you attempting to add the update data to a game you are in the middle of playing?

Because the game is not designed to allow this to happen.

As I have said in the last two or so updates, if you have any ideas for stats updates, I'm willing to do them. I can't if I don't have any idea of what needs to be fixed.

I am looking for staff to be my major fix this month. I'm not looking to add that many wrestlers this update.

Sorry It was more of a talking point rather then a critique. If I can find some time Ill do up a stats update along with balance out the rest of the Alpha-1 Roster, And tag the alpha-1 teams, stables and Belts.

I generally agree. I think NJPW is a low sized national and AAA/CMLL would be national promotions of various size. Maybe AAA as a high-end cult due to the whole attendance issues they have from time to time. But here is the thing with PWG, I honestly do not hear the buzz around PWG anymore. Perhaps it is their reduced schedule or perhaps they lost their major stars to various parts of the indies, WWE, IMPACT or AEW. I hear much more about CHIKARA than PWG today. There was a time where PWG was exactly what you said (well into the middle of this decade), today it isn't really that cult.

MLW I'd argue is bigger than Impact. MLW has sold out venues Impact cannot in America. IMPACT has lost a LOT of steam in the past few years.

Here are my guesses (please give your opinions as well):

    Global:
WWE: 55 (70 in game right now, but due to recent ratings and attendance woes and what not, I think 55 is more than justified)

    National:
AEW: 25 (my parents don't care about it besides Cody, Moxley and Jericho and they are the average fan)
CMLL: 35 (I'll put it above AEW but not at a point that it should war with AEW)
NJPW: 10 (it has been around more than AEW in America, but AEW has sold out 10k seat venues, NJPW has only done that once and lost some with The Elite's departure)

    Cult:
AAA: 70 (the MSG tickets aren't going as good as ROH/New Japan's did.
AAW: 25 (as you said, top tier indy talent not in ROH)
    IMPACT: 45
    MLW: 50
ROH: 70 (a year ago I'd say 80, but stumbled in the after effects of The Elite departure)
WWN: 25 (WWE has helped lend credibility especially for EVOLVE)

    Regional:
    Beyond: 30 (steadily growing)
    CHIKARA: 80 (see above)
(The) CRASH: 40 (tries to get out the Tijuana area but has had a number of key departures)
    CZW: 65 (below PWG)
GCW: 45 (a bit below CZW though expanding more than CZW has of late)
    PWG: 75 (see above)
SHIMMER: 55 (not as big as it once was perhaps due to the woman's revolution in all promotions and a reduced schedule) I might even consider merging with RISE.
WOW!: 25 (small but on AXS TV)

    Small:
A1: 50 (riding off the back of Ethan Page)
AIW: 75 (a bigger small promotion)
APW: 60 (a weird area of California is serviced by APW)
C4: 35 (decent sized Ottawa based Canadian indie)
CW: 40 (small MA based indie
DEFY: 65 (has gotten a lot of buzz lately with Swerve as the nucleus of the promotion)
ECCW: 70 (I think it is about the size of Smash at this point)
MCW: 60 (it is now virtually an ROH feeder but it is more or less a mid-level small promotion)
RISE: 44 (as I mentioned I might merge with SHIMMER
Smash: 70 (the Ontario area's biggest indie?)

Note: if someone is wondering where House of Hardcore is, I removed it. It hasn't run standalone shows since December. It ran two IMPACT Twitch Specials and one joint show with a Canadian indie.

Should add Smashes Rival Promotion Destiny. Headlined By Josh Alexander (If added Josh Alexanders Companies would be Impact, Destiny and A1)

id argue ROH, Impact and MLW are all about equal right now.

Will my roster update you put up for June be reset if I get the July 2019 update I just started playing EWR Recently and it's pretty fun don't want the feuds and stats etc to get mixed up

Also great work man with the updates

If you put the July update into the game. It will not impact your save data. but if you have made any changes to the data as a whole then that will be deleted.

What would his ideal stats be? I'm fine with being off, I just stag to have a gage for what I need to fix.

Yeah I have Smash, C4 and at one point was debating putting Alpha 1 (#AllEgo's promotion) in the game. Alpha 1 I left out at the time because I felt there were too many of these Ontario groups... I'd be open to getting more workers and more accurate Ontario area workers in the game.

yeah the Alpha-1 guys should be in the game. Cuz id said its bigger then C4. Destiny could be in the game as its the biggest of C4, Alpha-1 and id argue Smash but some people would say otherwise.

  8. Impact Updates

Remove Adam Thornstowe and Luster the Legend
    Remove Stone Rockwell
    Remove Daga

    Josh Alexander Changes

Finisher 1 changed to TKO Impact
    FinisherJaydriller Impact
    Should have Trainer checked
add to AAW as Midcard Bad Ass Heel

    Per their Wikipedia page...

At Slammiversary they only used Brandon Tolle, John E Bravo, Kris Levin and Harry D they were also the 4 Ref's who ran a Referee Seminar at Battle Arts Academy on Saturday. Other than Wikipedia and can't seem to find a connection to Mark Harris.

  10. Add John E Bravo and Harry D as the Refs for Impact wrestling as 65 and 60 respectively.

Brandon Tolle and Kris Levin can be moved from WWN and Chikara to Impact as refs as well. (They still do those companies but Impact is the biggest company they work for)

If more athletes from Russia run their mouths about the Russian ban, like the one who got the bronze in speedskating, then I'm all for stripping medals and banning Russian athletes from the Olympics for at least 20 years. And this asshole isn't clean. He tested positive for a banned substance in 2016, but was cleared because he might have taken it before it was banned.

(Why 20 years? Because by then most or all of the current Russian athletes will be too old to compete.)

By that Logic companies could make PED's and add some not medical ingredient and its a new substance andbam unbabnned substance

ok. Moving on from that other threads topic.
Does anyone know, or have an idea, on how the Touring Companies select their rosters? I'm thinking about trying to play around with them and see if I can get at least a rough idea of what it is they can actually be looking for.

I feel like the Touring System is completely broken. Unless it is meant to only the non-Japanese guys in the companies.

Out of curiosity, how long do you think it'll take to release the updates? I ask only because I've been thinking of starting a game but don't want to find out that an update will be out on February 1st and I have to restart the game for example. Also if you need any help with the updates I'd be willing to provide information on WWE/NXT as that is mainly what I watch nowadays.

Im hoping to get a basic update out on the first using the current update and then ill move into the massive update for March 1st.

I'd actually lean somewhat towards removing Lucha Underground, purely because structurally it's very difficult to replicate in EWR - the game's not designed to deal with anything like their taping schedule, or the fact that they go without shows for months at a time, before you even get into contractual issues. That said, a lot of people still probably want to play as them, so I'd leave it.

It's also worth bearing in mind that it's not just about which promotions people want to play as, but having promotions in place to create a functioning, and accurate, game world. So I would aim to have a decent spread of companies of varying sizes, with that goal in mind.

Companies actually wouldn't be my first port of call for removing data anyway, as the game already has (IIRC) a preset limit for how many promotions can exist at any one time, so it's not an area that could be prone to becoming bloated in the way that workers, tag teams, relationships, etc., can do. And also, when you have fewer than the maximum number of companies, you're more likely to have random companies generated by the game starting up, or the Pinky & The Brain promotions, which obviously skew the game away from realism, and also take a lot of control out of the hands of the person creating the update. That's just my feelings on the matter, anyhow.

I quite like having tons of Companies in the game so the pinky and the Brain thing doesn't get triggered and because it leads to stuff like OVW becoming the #5 Promotion in my game. I also like the bloated rosters but since a majority of people would like to have a smaller file ill figure out what I can easily trim first. May even lead to having 2 updates a month a bloated file with tons of workers. and a smaller file focusing on the core gameplay.
