  1. That doesn't work for me and I uploaded the file. It tries saving as a HTML document when I right click, when I left click it just takes me to the Mediafire download page (i'm using Firefox). Pretty sure a lot of free hosts don't allow direct linking either as they make their money through advertising on the download pages.

DMN I can only suggest you download the file on another computer.

  2. Hey all, I have some general questions about historical scenarios. Bear with me, because I've never downloaded one before, and this might influence how much the idea appeals to me.

Do scenario creators ever take advantage of the ability to create workers with ages from 0-17? And in the more general case, do workers get added to scenarios even if in real life they would not debut on the pro wrestling scene until later in life?

For example, Randy Orton was born in April of 1980. In an Attitude Era scenario, starting in September 1997, Orton would be 17 years old, so from the "Other Workers" screen, he would not show up until he became of age in April 1998 (and then, probably with lowered stats so that he'd need development to stand a chance of being worth using). You could start as a fictional indie fed trying to compete with WWF with the likes of young, 18-year-old "unknowns" like John Cena and Brock Lesnar (again, presumably with dramatically lowered stats).

I believe a database like this would require a lot of work and maintenance but the rewards could be fantastic. Great idea!

  3. I've pretty much lost all faith in current gen console gaming and I need some input on how I can stop myself from turning my PS3 into an over-sized doorstop.

First of all a back story. I held off from current gen for a couple of years whilst the gaming libraries of each console built up. Got a 360 when the Elite model came out but when I left the family home I let my lil' bro keep it. I wasn't too bothered, I barely used it and when I did sit down and play games it was either Gran Turismo on PS2 or Football Manager/Civilization/Age of Empires/EWR on PC.

Fast forward to about two months ago and I take advantage of Game/GameStation entering administration by picking up a PS3 for just £100. It's only the fat 60gb model but it's right up my street because its backwards compatible with PSX/PS2 and i'm a retro nerd. (Mortal Kombat Trilogy on PSX is still one of the best fighting games ever made IMO).

Anyway, I pick up some games and everything is peachy... Until I get Skyrim. The bugs made that game unplayable for me so I take it back to the shop only to be told that they are not liable for the games bugs, and that the product they sold to me (the disc) is in top condition and they can't give me a refund. Ok, fair enough, Grainger Games have their red tape so I just leave it be. Before I left, the manager told me to connect to the internet and update the game to see if that helps. It is at this point that I begin to anger. I inform the manager that the Elder Scrolls are and always have been single player offline games and it should work out of the box, regardless of whether I use my PS3 online or not. I begin ranting about how games used to be, how if they crashed you just pulled the cart out, gave it a blow and put it back in. As I leave I curse Bethesda for rushing to get the game out on time knowing that any bugs can be sorted by releasing patch after patch. -_-

This pissed me off to no end. Skyrim has long gone from my house and I will not be getting it back anytime soon. I'm sort of fed up with current gen console gaming. Everything is rushed to make it's release date and they just fill the holes in later. It's piss poor development and I don't support it.

Are there any decent games for PS3 that simply work out of the box?

TLDR Skyrim made me lose all hope in current gen console gaming. Are there any games that simply 'work' out of the box?

  4. There is one last, very boring thing for me to do, though. Figuring out which ID's correspond to which Gimmicks. There are a LOT of Gimmicks. :crying:

    Dont worry about it. :)

  5. I get that........but if his contact runs out on......30th June, say. Then, legally he isn't a Blackburn player, hasn't signed anything, and just becomes a free agent.

Then on the 15th July, Fulham could snap him up for free......no? Since he isn't legally anything to do with Blackburn at all anymore.

No they have to pay compensation. I'm not sure how/why it works but they definitely do.

The club that trains them has to be compensated. I think it came about as some sort of preservation, to stop big clubs taking all the talent. It's a good thing really, especially for small clubs like Crewe who have had a great youth system.

Has anyone heard any more rumours of Mobido Maiga coming to Newcastle or has that ship long since sailed?
