The 2007 EWB Non-UFC MMA Prediction League

After a PM from Biggz, I've decided to make this thread to see if there is any interest in me running a non-UFC predicitions league, mainly PRIDE, EliteXC and whatever else people deem worthy of doing. I'd personally prefer to do it seperate to the UFC one as a lot of people watch the UFC and don't watch anything else, so it would probably dilute that league's results.

Anyway, just reply here saying that you'd be interested or not, if we get five or so people I'll start up a new thread for it or just use this one. Hurry though, as the EXC show is at the weekend.

I'd do one, but I still think it should be a MMA predictions league with UFC and PRIDE with the occasional odd show thrown in (Elite XC's Shamrock vs. Gracie card) mainly because it gets some publicity and is available on Showtime. But I think PRIDE should definatly be thrown in... PRIDE 33 just looks great with Silva/Hollywood, Gomi/Diaz, and more.

Right, given the amount of interest shown in here compared to the UFC thread, I think the best option is to run two different leagues, which isn't an major hassle to me.

I imagine we'll do all of the PRIDE shows as well as some of the stacked shows by smaller companies like Cage Rage, Elite XC, K1, etc. We'll just decided on them as they come along though.

Right, we'll use the same rules as the UFC thread for this one...

• Predicting the correct winner earns you ten points;

• Predicting the correct winner, and winning round/method of victory (e.g. stoppage, KO, points, DQ) earns you fifteen points;

• Predicting the correct winner, winning round and method of victory earns you twenty points;

• There are no points for anything else;

• Predictions have to be posted in this thread no later than the start of the event.

Right then, the first show will the be Elitc XC show being held on February 10th at 10pm EST, in Southhaven, Miss. The card is as follows

Obviously Carano's match is hard to call, so feel free to wait until the opponent is announced until you make your decision. If the opponent isn't announced until the show starts, for some strange fucked up reason, then we'll just void the match.

Much like in the UFC thread, predict the winner, the round and the method. All entries have to be in by the time the prelims start, which is 7pm EST.
