Hey, 205 is set for somebody unexpected to move up in the ranks. The only three guys that can firmly stand on their position are Chuck Liddel, Mauricio Shogun, and Dan Henderson. Chuck and Shogun at 1 & 2, with Hendo around 4 or 5 with his newly won title. Look at everybody else, Arona had a good 2005, but was inactive in 2006, except for a win in September. Lil' Nog only fought once in 2006, a win against Alistair Overeem (who Arona also beat in his one fight last year), and is coming off a devastating KO loss against a virtual unknown inside of 30 seconds. Wanderlei Silva is coming off to big KO losses, Tito Ortiz didn't do much to fight his way back in to a top 5 spot after doing nothing against Liddell and fighting two unnecessary bouts against Ken Shamrock, Quinton Jackson has been out of the picture for a while, but has a chance to pry his way in there by taking Liddell's title. Babalu nosedived in the rankings. Even with Hendo up there with the Middleweight title (which will most likely be changed to the Light Heavyweight title soon), he JUST got back to fight at 205 and with the Welterweight title, he'll be sharing time between the two divisions. Plenty of room for Sokoujou to make a big jump if he beats Arona convincingly. Obviously not into a top 5 spot, but people will start keep an eye out for him, seeing who he fights and beats afterwards.

But yeah, my money would be on Arona by manly outmuscling.

I can't wait to see the amount of SOKOUJOU bandwagoning if he does beat Arona.

I knew Pele wasn't actually going to win, but I used to watch Inked, the show on A&E, he was one of the tattoo artists on the show and he was such a nice guy. I wanted him to win.

At least he lasted a bit longer than Lindland. Interested to see how the fight went down. I haven't read anything about it yet, wonder where the armbar came from.

I'm happy Mahood won.
