Need some recommendations...

Hey, I've been listening to a lot of different music than I normally would recently and I was just wondering if you guys could recommend some bands or songs. I'm a metal fan but I've been listening to a weird mix of stuff lately like Crash Test Dummies, Counting Crows, Ray Charles, The Lighthouse Family, etc... I'm basically just looking for anything like that. Also, I know there are a lot of metal fans on the board...could you guys suggest some good acoustic stuff for me to check out (I'm talking like Zakk Wylde - Book of Shadows kinda acoustic, heh). Your help would be much appreciated (Y)

Get Karl Sanders' "Saurian Meditations". It's not exactly 100% acoustic, but it's an ambient album with authentic Egyptian instruments and some very great passages in it.

Nick Drake would be a good start, Ben Folds maybe. But certainly some Amos Lee.
