Arsenic Problem

So, I stopped playing EWR for a good year or 2 and have the urge to start up a promotion again. A regional one using the November or December update not sure... it took about 2 hours for it to load the game. Even with deleting half the smaller promotions. So i dont want to start over by doing what i want to do in the file editor, but every time i load the EWREditor4.5 it locks up and doesnt respond, and i have to end up closing it before I can do anything.

All i want to do is scale down some salaries to make the money situation a little more manageable. I've been using this same editor for years prior. Has anyone else been having this problem?

Is it because the data is too much for it to handle? Or is it another reason..?
