How do you make your Own KyKy pictures?

So I have decided I want to try and make my own pictures on KyKy. I don't what program that I need to make them though. If anyone could please let me know what program I will need to make them. Could you please let me know? Thanks!!!!

Yeah, Gimp unless you've got a friend to borrow photoshop from..

i think gimp is easier for a beginner.

I'm using Gimp. How do I cut just the photo out and not the background for the picture I want to use? Sorry if this is bothering anyone. I just cant figure it out

I get the base from TheWho87's photobucket, then do the chops in Photoshop, I find it much easier to use than GIMP, probably just because it's what I've used for years now.

So here is the first one that I have done it was with Gimp.

Not a bad first attempt at all but you can see the cut around his big bald head. Practise is all.

And I use Adobe Fireworks. Photoshop is overkill.
