  1. Has anyone else heard the new Finger 11 song. Its not quite like their old stuff but its a very good and catchy song. I wouldn't be surprised if most of you haven't heard it yet. Good canadian bands don't seem to get airplay outside of Canada.

  2. I am glad the Oilers won as it eliminates one team that doesn't deserve to be there. Once Buffalo finishes off Carolina then we will have a final with 2 teams that should be there. When Anaheim and Carolina can't sellout a playoff game they shouldn't be there. Atleast its not the Leafs in the final

  3. Man it sure has gone quiet in here since Ottawa and Montreal have got knocked out. One thing I know is that most Leaf fans aren't hockey fans at all. The few that I know haven't watched a single playoff game because the leafs aren't playing. I thought most of you would be cheering on the Oilers since they are the only Canadian team left. I thought a few of you would have commented on the game last night between Edmonton and Anaheim. The good news now is that the saturday afternoon games are done. Hockey should be played at night. Leave the afternoon for football and baseball. The players have said they really don't like it and the ratings prove that it doesn't work.

  4. 4 teams that would be either fighting to make the playoffs or not be in them at all. Carolina may be a good team but their fans are terrible. They can't even sell out a conference final game. I know of a bunch of people from Buffalo that bought 20 tickets and are going down for game 1. The NHL should adopt a new rule that if you can't sellout a playoff game then the team should be moved to somewhere that would. A Buffalo Edmonton Final would be great. Two great hockey cities.

  5. I honestly didn't think the series would end in 5. They were 2 evenly matched teams. Miller was just that much better than Emery and the Sens goal scorers never showed up. Now that Buffalo beat the best team left in the playoffs. The CUP is coming to Buffalo this year. If Edmonton and New Jersey get knocked out there will be a first time Cup Champ.

  6. I know its still early in the second but its nice to be up 2-0 already. I still think its going to go 7 games. If all hockey could be played like this it would be great. Hopefully Edmonton can come back after last night. I think they can as they were terribly out played last night and still only lost by a goal.

  7. Has anyone else heard this song yet. It was released on radio yesterday. On the the 2 big rock stations in the area it is already being requested a lot. After finally getting to hear the whole song I really like it. I have their first album and I thought that was awesome. If the rest of the new album is anything like this song it will be good. They only thing I have noticed with them and a lot of other good canadian bands is outside of Canada no one really knows who they are.

  8. Clawson I actually agree with you on not wanting to see ottawa play montreal. I really don't care much for either team. Ottawa is in but montreal isn't yet. If they lose their last game in regulation and both Tampa and Atlanta win out they will miss the playoffs. The Canadians play the Devils in their last game. I was hoping todays Buffalo/Leaf would actually mean something but now that the Leafs are out and Buffalo has clinched fourth the game means nothing to either team. The only thing I really worry about now is that since its a meaningless game that Buffalo will go after Tucker now. Buffalo could always dress Andrew Peters to go after him since if they lose him its no big loss for the playoffs.

  9. All I can say about Briere's goal last night is WOW. It was TSN's Highlight of the Night. Anyways the Canucks chances of making the playoffs now doesn't look good at all. They have to hope Edmonton keeps losing and they win their last 2 games. I hope Colorado loses all the games they have left and both Edmonton and Vancouver win out so they are both in and Colorado is out.

  10. It wasn't cause the fans didn't support them, they left cause the owners couldn't afford the team any more. With the new salary cap I think it would work in Winnipeg. Pittsburgh should stay as they do get pretty big crowds for a team that isn't very good. If any team should move its the New Jersey devils. On tsn the other night they showed a shot of the crowd and it looked like it was empty. I can understand if the team was one of the worst in the league but they are 6th in the conference and no one ever goes to see them play. You can't say because the arena is in the middle of no where that thats the reason. Ottawa's arena is in the middle of no where too and they have big crowds all the time. The Pistons play in the middle of no where too and they sell out all the time. You can't say its cause its basketball cause the Nets who have won 14 in a row had similar crowds as the devils. Its ashame that no watches the team.

  11. That still doesn't make what Tucker did right. He gets nailed by Grier and gets pissed about it and takes out the first guy he sees. Danny might have been on the course the last 5 years but Tucker and the rest of the Leafs will be on the course for abouts as long if not longer.

Did anyone see the report in the Toronto Star the other day about the Leafs and the CBC. CBC is really worried about their ratings with the Leafs not likely making the playoffs. They figure there isn't much interest in any of the other eastern teams. CBC has been trying to put either the Ottawa game or the Montreal game across the network for the rest of the season but they have gotten some emails from people in western canada complaining about not being able to see the Leafs. IMO they should show the other 2 eastern teams more often now to gain interest in them and let people get to know some of the players on those teams.
