Three things:
1) Last year, I bought an entire set of XFL lapel pins (all of the teams plus an XFL logo one) from some dude in Germany off of eBay. I feel like this made them a lot less cool (Were they ever cool? Not the debate here).
2) SIGN GOD DAMN JARED LORENZEN
3) Real talk: This needs to be an arena football league. Why? Arena football is a much faster game than normal football, and it's different enough where you can't compare it directly to the NFL. Arena football has been kind of floundering around in obscurity for a while (more on that later) but I think enough people will tune into the first game out of interest that a casual fan who has never seen it before, might find it interesting enough to stick around.
The top league of arena football, the AFL, is really struggling. They're going to be down to four teams next season. The XFL will never top the NFL, but Vince could realistically own the top arena football league in America. Fuck it, Vince should just buy the AFL if he wants to own a football league so bad.
I just really like arena football and want to see it become more popular.

Sorry for bumping an old thread, and this is probably a long shot, but a long time ago, someone made an EWR mod set into the future. Not like, flying car future, but maybe like 2030 something. Is there a chance that anyone out there still has this? I checked EWWarehouse but couldn't find it.
Thanks for your time.

Top album is probably Harmlessness. Second best is Beach Slang.

Not to bump an old topic, but I LOVE this game.
Someone figure out how online play works and LET'S DO IT.

Just got into The Joy Formidable (hence the avatar).
Amazing.

Uh, yeah, MC Lars is fucking class.

Usually if I'm drunk, and the iPod/MP3 player that's plugged in has Weezer on it, I'm usually belting out El Scorcho or anything from The Blue Album.
Not really sure if anyone ever joins me though.

So, this leaked the other day (and is available to listen to on their MySpace) and I have to say, this is by far their best album in some time. Red had some good ideas. Raditude was crap, but this is good stuff. Any old-school fans turned off by their new stuff should give this a listen.
Plus, Michael Cera sings backup and plays guitar on the track "Hang On" (my favorite track).

Duke Nukem 3D (I used to play this game when I was young, but this didn't look familiar)
Resident Evil 2 (Missed the "2")
Micro Machines (never actually played this)
Myth (whatever)

Yay! Buckethead gets the Dr. Pepper after all!
Well, that is, if Axl goes ahead and releases it.

First: Daft Punk - Discovery (still one of my favorite albums ever, listened to some of it on the way home today, actually).
Last: Buckethead - Bermuda Triangle (This used to be a really rare album, so when I found it on eBay for $11, I got it immediately. I've found that it isn't as rare anymore, but it's still an awesome album.

Only when I use it as my alarm to wake up and get ready in the morning.
There's a great classic rock station here, but they have horrible talk radio in the morning so it's set to the college/public radio station. They have a rule of playing no music that has been on the top 20 (or something like that) charts, so it's never the same radio junk you always hear. And the random DJs all have different preferences there's a large range. This is both good and bad. There's this one guy who plays only country/folk/bluegrass stuff that I never like, but there's this girl who plays some awesome techno stuff.
Plus, there's really no commercials.

Earthbound on the DS.
Either a new one, a release of Mother 1 and Mother 3, or just a port of the original SNES game would be amazing.

I use Pointman the most, but sometimes I do Mono Pro.
I'm Yitzy9 on there.

The Anime version of "Welcome to the NHK" was awesome. They changed a bit from the novel (which is also good, pick it up if you get the chance, it's only like, $7) but it was still great.
I was watching Beck on Stage6, but they went belly-up... so...

Thanks guys. I just finished my paper, I think it came out well.
Much appreciated for the help!

I want to like Richard Cheese, I really do. I like jazz, and it's an awesome concept that he does really really well and they're funny, but I can never get myself to listen to him for an extended period of time.

HOWEVER the biggest offender I can think of is Mariah Carey. She did a cover of one of Def Leppard's best songs from the era when they were still metal: Bringin' On The Heartbreak. AND IT TOTALLY, UTTERLY, COMPLETELY, ABSOLUTELY SUCKS! Fuck Dave Navarro for playing it on. Seriously.

I love the KsE cover. I mean, there's no beating Dio, but I thought their cover was really well done.
And they hardly try to be "bad ass" or whatever. On YouTube, look for the "As Daylight Days, Track by Track." One of the things I like about the band is that they don't take themselves super serious like every other "hardcore" band.

Dogma and Clerks are amazing. As well as the animated Clerks.
My friends and I keep meaning to watch the rest, but keep forgetting about it.

I came across Shakira's cover of Back In Black on YouTube.
I wanted to kill myself.
And I don't super-hate it, but compared to what has been done, Johnny Cash's version of Personal Jesus was meh.

I like to consider myself a fairly informed person, but I had no idea Kosovo had an Olympic team.
