  1. Whoa. Thank you very, very much.

I posted it at another forum, and I just got a lot of joke replies, and thought about switching subjects.

And this isn't really a formal paper per say, we just have to write up something in journalistic style.

I still might switch topics, not sure yet but I really appreciate your help.

  2. So, for my journalism class, I'm doing an assignment on what the appeal of March Madness is, because I quite frankly, don't really get it.

I realized that none of my friends actually watch March Madness, so I'm turning to the interwebs.

Simply, if you watch March Madness, why do you like it? What's the appeal of it over pro sports? Do you do all the stuff with the brackets? Why?

And if you're like me and don't watch it, you can say why too.

This isn't going to be printed anywhere, so don't worry about that. But if you wouldn't mind putting your full name, that'd be great. I'm pretty sure my teacher wouldn't approve of having "Pornomaniac666" as one of my sources.

    Thanks!

  3. PRIMUS FUCK YEAH! 10/10

I don't know any of the other bands.

    1. BOY'S BRAVO by KISHIDAN

    2. Switch by Yum!Yum!Orange

    3. Stay With Me Tonight by Quiet Riot

    4. The Metal by Tenacious D

    5. Europa (Earth's Cry Heaven's Smile) by Santana

    6. Kaze no Yukue by L'Arc~en~Ciel

    7. Walkin'walkin' by Your Song Is Good

    8. Shake Hands With Beef by Primus

    9. LIFE by YUI

    10. Counting Cars by The Casual Fiasco

Well, at least I got some bands that weren't random obscure Japanese bands or local Vermont Jam bands. :shifty:

  4. They played Icky Thump ALL THE TIME on the radio, when I first heard it, I had no idea what it was (I'm not really a White Stripes fan), but everytime I heard it, it grew on me.

Even though, I'm pretty sure it's not true circuit bending, I definitely mark for that circuit bending sound.

  5. Most of the ones I agree with have been already said, but I have to add My Band by B-12 or whatever Emeniem's thing was called.

Not only does he sound like he's deaf when he's *ahem* "singing," the entire thing is incredibly repetitive. Man, just remembering that song makes me want to punch my wall.

And even though it wasn't that bad at first, Daniel Powter's Bad Day also gets my vote. That song was the meaning of overkill. You couldn't swing a cat without hearing that song.

  6. Pretty much what other people have said and...

Porno Graffitti (spelled like that) - So different and awesome, it's hard to to put them into a genre.

    Favorite song: Uzu

B'z - Awesome, Awesome J-Rock, one of the first bands I heard from Japan. I can't name a favorite song because they have so many.

The Alfee - Have been around forever. Strange Rock/Pop/Folk hybrid, but it works. In fact, I just ordered their single collection from YesAsia.

Not really my favorite song, but it shows how awesome their lead guitarist, and towards their end, how awesome their accoustic guitarist is:

Also, Southern All-Stars, Tomoyasu Hotei, LOW IQ 01 (good luck finding anything on him) all rock as well.

  7. I've got to admit, the red blue chord is a bitch, 90% of the time i miss it coming off a green/yellow chord.

Yeah, I've had serious trouble with it myself. My best advice is to move your hand so that you play red+blue the same way you play green+yellow. It does fuck my brain up when I'm playing on hard though because I'm just not used to that orange chord.

  8. I hated how Shawn went from "putzy friend" to "emotional peice of shit" from high school till college.

And I love how Topanga has had three different dads, first there was the Monkee and then when Topanga's parents were getting divorced, the actor changed from one episode to the next.

But alas, Boy Meets World has the title of the only show that has made me tear up a bit, multiple times.

  9. Suikoden. Any of them (Though I haven't played IV, V or Tatics). But Suikoden I and II, although PS1 games, are still two of the greatest RPGs, nay, GAMES I have ever played.

I'm not really a big fan of RPGs at all, but Suikoden I and II interested me the whole way through.

  10. See, the thing that seperates Seinfeld, Bach and Nugent from Scott Ian and Jason, is that Seinfeld, Bach and Nugent all went in thinking "We are motherfucking rock gods" while Scott and Jason are just like "Holy shit, this is awesome!."

Although, Nugent can be cool at times, and his speeches are pretty awesome. And at least Seinfeld can be bearable at times. But Bach is a prick.

"I AM MOTHERFUCKING GOING FOR A FUCKING RUN BECAUSE I AM FUCKING SEBASTIAN FUCKING BACH OF FUCKING SKID ROW AND I DO WHATEVER THE FUCK I WANT, SO FUCK YOU MOTHERFUCKER!"

  11. For those who have been asking, GamePro is a video gaming magazine that's been around since 1989 or something.

I usually agree with their opinion, but like Kaney, I can't see why Nintendogs would be on the list. GamePro said that it was on the list because it has "Innovative usage of Microphone and Touch-Screen" and "Wide-Market Appeal" and "It propelled the sales of the DS." That I totally disagree with, I'm thinking about buying a DS, and unless I feel like getting it for my younger sister, I doubt I'll get it.
