  1. The REAL humane thing is to not race them. :shifty:

I agree with the second bit. Vets can't always know if a horse is in the right mindset for a race. Sync obviously wasn't, and paid for it with his life.

People would also say that about whipping the horses during the race. But it's hard to keep a horse under control sometimes. And it may upset people and offend a vast majority of animal rights groups. But when you are riding a horse and if you do not keep it under control it could end up costing you your life. And while it may be hard on the horse. It's at a greater cost with human life. Unfortunately. Sometimes you have to show the horse who's the boss and in charge. And again not a lot agree with it.

Exactly vets can never determine what is fully wrong with an animal and with a horse it can be several things. More than ever in a big race and on a grand stage such as we have seen today. The horse has been under a lot of pressure with training for it.

It's really not laying the blame on anyone Metalman. Please understand that.

While there might not be a lot of money in owning horses and training them. And people loving and racing their horses for the sheer love of it. In the end it's the horses health that matters the most. Out of any trophy, or place in a race and the amount of money that could come in. And yes. I think everyone involved will be upset. It could have also been a lot worse and the jockey could have also died.

  2. That's very understandable really and a good sign of respect.

Just wondering now, apart from thinking of the players fans, team mates and friends. What happens to any bets that have been on the games that should have been played. I also apologize if this seems inconsiderate of me. I do not mean to be disrespectful in any kind of way.

  3. SeaBass got me a fair bit with earning a place at third.

I was going to put money on both of the Neptune's running in the race. But in the end I didn't.

It's sad to know that two horses had to be destroyed after the race. It must be hard for the people who raised them and trained them as well as the jockeys riding them today. In the end it's the only humane way for the horse. With the adrenaline still pumping in them they may not have felt the pain at first. But once that wears off then the horse will be in pain. A considerable amount of pain. And it must be a terrible pain for them to suffer. Plus there is no assurance that they may ever recover properly and not be in pain for the rest of their natural life. Never mind race again. They can get all kinds of infections and worse things than what they suffered in the race while they recover.

Synchronised should not have been in the race after it threw off it's jockey. It was obvious to see that it was spooked after throwing off the jockey and going into the line up for the start. The way it would not stand still at all. Even if the vet said it was fine. It still did not look okay. Yeah it may have been at 100% with what the vets said. But no matter what if the horse bolts the rider before the start something is clearly wrong. The horse will not be able to tell you what. And vet may not find anything that could be wrong with it. So it's a two sided coin really. And not many people may agree on it. But to me if the horse shows them kind of signs and even if they vet, the owner and jockey are happy with it. How do you know really that it's going to be okay. But sometimes, maybe it's a chance they are willing to take and that's what they did today.

  4. With four games left for Blackburn the future kind of looks very bleak. There is no excuse why they aren't performing well. Unless you count the manager. But with the amount of money the owners will get if they go down and plus how much Kean will get if he's sacked you can see why he is still there and that Venkys aren't that bothered about the future of the club.

  5. Sunderland messed up my chances of £9 <_<

Plus winning £715 out of a £1 was only let down by Northampton in my six folds entry.

Got some on for Newcastle and Swansea. But I really don't see them coming in. Hopefully my more than three goals nets me at least £4 so I won't have lost anything. Nancy and PSG got me the three goals I needed. Now it's just for Juventus and Napoli to get more than three goals in that and I should be okay.

  6. I tend to make good choices most of the time. But, my character tends to be a whore and sleep with people if that's avalible in the game that's being played.

InFamous 1 I prefered the evil part and in the 2nd it was good. Guess I was trying to make up for how much I fucked empire city up.

Fallout. Sometimes in conversations I'm good. But other than that most of the time its the law of the wasteland. You have something I want then I'm going to take it by any means. Plus I don't well with others and if anyone gets in the way then if they die it then so be it.

If I can talk my way out of the situation then I will. But it depends on what I know of the person or character I'm dealing with.

With InFamous it was the whole why save the world? The problems will never go away. Time to purge everything and start a fresh attitude style.

Fable 2. Well I was the loveable fool with an amazing dog who made rent too high for pesasnts and had many wives.

  7. Ah playfire. I've been on there for about a year and I love all the little bits to it. I hated when they updated the layout and how you can view peoples profiles. Other than that its pretty good. I would have forgot about it if it wasn't for emails about comments from people on there.

  8. 'What would you say if I said that stoned cold killer dropped this tissue?'

'I would find that hard to believe even if you was Sherlock Holmes'

It has sooo many great moments and lines. This is what actually got me into RPG games tbh.

Nico's voice is like heaven and why I love the french girls.

  9. To me and Walker is doesn't make any difference that we may be the only two watching. Over on WGZ we used to be all the time. >_< Good times.

I think Aaroan really does have a shot of winning Big Brother. Just the way he has been tonight has to either make him win the show or go down as one of the best housemates ever. I have love for Aaroan so shut it.

  10. A-Team. That takes me back to Saturday afternoon. Saturday afternoon used to be awesome back in the day on ITV. One show I have to point out that I loved from this era was Early Edition. Also friday nights on BBC 2 it had to be Bottom. Plus channel four with The Adam and Joe Show. Damn I feel old. <_<

Also speaking of soaps. Emmerdale. The only storyline I ever loved from the show was from when I was a kid. The Dave Glover and Kim Tate storyline with them being found in bed with the best line to me ever. 'What do you call this Dave? Overtime'.
