  1. I've found nothing to hender progress, but during catalyst yesterday I never got the target thing when throwing boxes, so I had to guess. Pissed me off. I'd think it was just my PS2 being a lazy ass, but who knows.

Also, a lot of people seem to freeze in the air at random moments. Which is neat.

    That is all.

  2. There's a little food mart in Los Santos that I recommend everyone go to, though I am too lazy to get an exact location. Get on the bike there and do the courier missions, you make shitloads of money, and can literally be lost for ages and still complete them with 5 minutes left on the clock. Easy as fuck. When completed you have an asset making $2,000 a day.

Advice: If you miss with a package, ride over it before getting another. You'll get it back. Running out of packages is probably the only way to fail these fellas.

  3. ... You're slow, fella.

Getting 100% for the first time in Vice City didn't even take me months. Having a guide factored in, but meh.

Though, as far as this game taking ages goes... yeah. You only get 50% for completing all the missions, which seem to me to be much more difficult then in the previous versions.

  4. My muscle, stamina, and cycling are maxed. Driving and bike aren't far. Sawn off is almost Hitman.

I recommend everyone max their cycling skill. The bunny hops are extremely helpful for shortcuts, killing large groups of individuals, and wasting time.

On the subject of hookers, I haven't had any luck picking them up in everyday cars, but in the lowriders i've modded they approach me without any horn honking.

  5. Eat about three big meals when your fat is low and you should be fine for a day or two. I do this and it never burns muscle anymore, with the exception of when I was hunting down tags earlier today and wouldn't let him eat until I had all 100.

  6. I don't see it as a waste, mainly because there are not all that many things to spend money on at this point in time for me, and even when there are i'd just have ten times the amount I needed. Money is unbelievably easy to build up. I never lose my car, because that's what a garage and not driving like a lunatic is for.

  7. Too lazy to quote...

The Ballas do target you early on, but the fact that it doesn't seem so probably has to do with your limited knowledge of the map and sticking to the same general areas. I know this because when I started my new game to work towards 100% last night I had thought they wouldn't target me as well. I went ahead and started taxis, which were annoying as fuck since I could only drop off about 5 passengers per taxi before they'd shoot it to hell.

  8. I'm pretty good about not crashing on a regular drive. That stopped after the first year or so of Vice City. However, I don't have this great desire to go fast either unless i'm on a PCJ or something similar, and those are pretty hard to crash after the first couple times.

  9. It's entirely possible to make a couple thousand, but I usually quit early with right around 1K. And, I know those aren't the only things you can steal, but those are the only things I do steal. I believe it's all you need to clear the house.

  10. Had to start a new game (well, had started one to work on getting 100% for, and accidently saved over old one). Got a Broadway (one of if not the only car you can do the pimping sidejobs in) and stuck it in my garage ahead of time. Saved up some cash...

Now has the more glossy looking flames, no color change on them.

    Bass Boost

    Hydraulics

    Nitrous 10x

    Classic Wheels

    Side Skirts

    Dark Gray Interior

Modified Front Bumper, Exhaust, and Back Bumper (forget the name of modification, is the one that starts with an "S")

May or may not be forgetting some things.

  11. Yeah, describe your lowrider mods. I just started working on mine, got a Savanna and gave it green flames to represent OGF, really dark gray (not quite black) interior, new back bumper, bass boost and nitrous... then I ran outta money. Now working on making more in pool.

  12. I can't beat catalyst because I suck at throwing boxes. :'(

Doubtful you can really help here, but if nothing else you can all smile at how much further in the game you are than I am. Though, I fuck around a lot. Anyone else tried peds riot and peds have weapons yet?

  13. Someone hit the nail on the head above. It has to do with your fat. If you're running around and haven't eaten enough lately to have fat, you will be burning your muscle. It is a good habit to eat after workouts, but don't eat until the point of vomiting as i've found you won't gain any fat.

  14. Team America: World Police 9/10

I rate it so highly because it's the funniest movie i've seen in ages. However, I can easily see how some will find it highly immature comedy, so it's definately not for everyone. Personally, I don't think I stopped laughing once throughout the movie and everyone else in the theater seemed to be in the same position.

  15. But, many metal fans would feel a certain measure of respect towards Eminem regardless of the sound of his music, whereas I don't know of anyone who finds Fred Durst to be an especially creative individual.

That's not to say I think highly of either idea, and Ashlee Simpson came out of fuckin' nowhere, but Eminem is feasable. He's done a lot in the past to get on the better side of the Ozzfest crowd.

You should also keep in mind that a lot of the people going to Ozzfest these days aren't always hardcore metal fans, and are just going because it's the cool thing to do based on Ozzy's recent resurgence in popularity over the past couple years.

  16. LOS ANGELES (Aug. 6) - Funk legend Rick James, best known for the 1981 hit ''Super Freak,'' died Friday, apparently of natural causes, police said.

James died at 9:45 a.m. at a residence near Universal City, said Police Department spokeswoman Esther Reyes.

''We learned of his death after responding to a radio call,'' Reyes said.

After his big hit, James' fame began to fade as he became embroiled in drugs, legal problems and health issues.

James was convicted in 1993 of assaulting two women. The first attack occurred in 1991 when he restrained and burned a young woman with a hot pipe during a cocaine binge at his house in West Hollywood. He was free on bail when the second assault occurred in 1992 in James' hotel room.

James was sentenced to more than two years in state prison.

In 1997, he released a new album, but a year later he suffered a stroke while performing at Denver's Mammoth Events Center, derailing a comeback tour.

In 1998 he also underwent hip replacement surgery.

With his trademark Jheri curl, James was one of the biggest R&B stars of the 1980s, using danceable rhythms and passionate ballads to gain a wide following. Aside from ''Super Freak'' - which MC Hammer used a decade later as the backing track for his monster hit ''U Can't Touch This'' - James' hits included ''Mary Jane,'' ''Ebony Eyes'' and ''Fire and Desire,'' a stirring duet with Teena Marie.

    :'(

  17. Johnny Depp

    Stuart Townshend

    Seth Green

Come to think of it, with the mention of Townshend it made me think that this would probably be a remake of Interview with the Vampire. Mainly because Cruise played a horrible Lestat, I like Cruise, but he just couldn't do the character justice. So you've got the far superior Lestat, Townshend, and I guess Depp could be Louis, mainly because it wouldn't be right to put Pitt in there again. Not sure yet who a good Armand would be, since again it would be wrong to put Banderas in there. He'd be a bit off from the boy described in the book, but for some reason I think Seth Green would be good to play the role of Denis.
