It's a good foundation and something they can build on but there are multiple things holding it back from being as good as say the equivalent on NBA 2k or The Show. Still though, I appreciate the small steps forward in the game rather than going backwards. 

That's awesome news, thanks for the heads up. I've been avoiding that place since they locked it down. I love rtts but franchise is the meat of the game for me. 

I ended up picking this up and I love that you can play the games in a series one after another, a big time saver for me.

So after a couple weeks do you guys think this is a buy or should I just get last year's game and hold off on a new one for next year? 

I just got this about a week ago and have been playing if anyone ever wants to jump in, my PSN is finalfinally. It's a lot of fun, I think I'm like level 20 with a dz rank of 11 or so already. 

If you have a lot of cap space and no one catches your eye it's never a bad idea to sign high rated players that are older to one or two year deals and use them as trade bait towards the deadline for youth or picks.

I hadn't ever played online before either so that didn't help, I think next time we should try something tornado style, waiting just to get my ass kick sucked. Sorry I left so quick, I had to run off to work but I'll be on throughout the week if you want to give it another shot.

I struggle with some of the quicker players still in terms of defending, honestly the easiest way I learned was to get a long, talented big (think Rudy Gobert, Cauley-Stein, DeAndre Jordan) and played defense as them, guarding the post and coming over on help defense. 

As for trading players without weakening the team, you can usually find pretty decent trades on the trade finder. 

Finally picked this up and got to trade Taj Gibson and Pau Gasol for Kevin Love and then Trevor Booker and a 2nd round pick for Willie Cauley-Stein. I forgot how much fun it can be to use the trade finder.

I love the game still, play every day. It helps I've got a decent group I play with. Either of you on PS4?

I've never had any issues with it either other than some people are hard to hear. 

I can probably finish that for her, I was asking because the girlfriend really wants to try this out and that means I have to buy it because she doesn't play all that often. Sucks that you got stuck though

Is it a game breaker for those who aren't great at video games? 

So as someone who usually just plays these games for the story for the most part I'm going to assume this is just a rental and not a buy? 

For those of you who were struggling to get motivated to grind out cards for leveling up your main ones like I was except for RtG I've found using PCC to fill that void is working wonders. I hate PCC and haven't been able to make myself play anything but RtG lately but if you play strictly +1's on PCC you win basically everytime (unlike exhibition these days) so it's much easier to grind cards. Plus, it gets you some good fusion fodder at the end of the event. 

You get the rewards even if the side you pick loses

I did manage to pull a Legendary off there, no energy cards sadly. I'll barely get the first card on the board for me too. 

If you can find a guild that would be your best bet at making sure you had people that had mics. If you don't want to go that route though or just don't have enough people on and use group finder I recommend making sure as soon as it places you to check and see if they are talking and if not I always just leave and find another. So far I've only had to leave 3 or 4 times and find new ones.

Where can I find some good builds for end game, any ideas? Redguard dragon Knight to be specific

I love the new mode as the game itself reminds me so much of FF8's card game but I don't think I'm going to like the reward system of it. 

So it raised your legendary Bruno level but didn't raise stats? What level is it now?

Nope, if it was one that was all deck I'd have been happy but it wasn't.
