If they return to their jokey old ways rather than the up their own arsehole nature of "American Idiot" which they took far too seriously I won't object too loudly when their music inevitably gets played everywhere.
It would take something really unexpected for me to get it myself but going by the song titles alone it looks like it will American Idiot part two.
That's actually my favorite Green Day album.

Wu Tang Clan remixes and rarities
Live Music Archive - mostly Indie, but has some shows from 311, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Hank III.

Funny... Kanye's "Gay Fish" may be my second favorite South Park song ever....nothing tops Butter's "What What" song though.
The Song that Butters did was not a South Park Original though. The original was much more disturbing.
Funny thing. If you play the song in the backgroud and look at your sig, it looks like Elisha Cuthbert is singing the song.

Julian Lennon had one decent single.
Tal Bachman's not bad for late 90s pop.
Those are the first two to come to mind, anyhow.
Julian was on Howard Stern and Howard asked him how he thinks Yoko feels about him being the son with all the talent. >_<
Anyway, the Williams bloodline is trippy.
Hank Jr. went outlaw.
Hank III does outlaw country and switches over to "Death Metal" or whatever mid-show.
But Holly Williams has a style similar to Sheryl Crow.

Anyone got a picture of Aidan Nathans? I think I want to use him for my Goldberg push. (Found an old topic on here via Google that said he improves quickly in development.)
Nevermind. I think he's a little too skinny. But I might have use for him anyway.

(space) - from Garth Brooks' Double Live, he left track thirteen on the first CD blank.
No Future by Kotton Mouth Kings - Been thinking of an idea for a zombie flick and thought that this would be a good song on the soundtrack.
Detroit 9000 by Council Cargle (Jackie Brown OST) (played while finding the shortest song, seeing as it is also 6 seconds.
Roger Bonair-Agard and Jack McCarthy are both poet introductions from the CD The Spoken Word Revolution (it's a bonus with the book of the same title).

I can't wait for this movie. From all the reviews I've read and the fact it won at the Venice film festival, it's shaping up to be an Oscar contender.
Imagine a movie about Professional Wrestling winning the Academy Award. I think that would totally throw off those who view it as "the (fake) sport of trailer trash".

Regarding promotions, I'm going to have a strict rule that all promotions must include at least 2 films. The idea is to have the biggest movie franchises up against each other, so stand-alone films don't really have a place. Bit of an update with promotions, the Tarantino/Rodriguez promotion has been split into a Tarantino compilation (which will include Pulp Fiction, Rez Dogs, Kill Bill, and probably From Dusk Till Dawn), and an El Mariachi promotion to represent Rodriguez. The Ocean's Series and The Terminator have tentatively been added to the promotions list, bringing us to a total of 15 at the moment:
Technically, From Dusk Til Dawn is a Rodriguez movie, unless you're specifically isolating the Mexico trilogy.

I'm gonna be a big lesbian for mentioning Ani DiFranco, but her song "Napoleon" is a slam on the recording industry.
I DiFranco.
Same here. I'm surprised no one's mentioned Radio Radio by Elvis Costello or The Last DJ by Tom Petty, but those are mainly about Mainstream radio. Then again, the industry wouldn't exist without Mainstream radio.

I must have missed that period in which Marvin Gaye hooked up with a series of influential hip hop artists and producers.
Meh, I just find it funny that elitists tend to bash both of these acts, and yet this guy is completely killing one while praising the other - despite the music made by the one he's bashing takes quite a bit more skill.

I don't see how an advertising insert in a CD will be so detrimental to an artist's integrity. Once a band signs with a label, it's just a matter of degree to the level of which you're no longer a band, you're a brand. It's just the idiot losers ranting about "OMG SELLOUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!" just because more people start listening to them that are going to kick up a shit storm because their favorite band isn't their little secret anymore.
Rise Against was the example used. The same Rise Against that is frequently on the Vans Warped Tour, with their merchandise sold in Hot Topic, and their songs played on radio stations owned by Clear Channel and Viacom, videos on networks owned by Viacom and tickets to their shows sold on Ticketmaster? No, you don't just slap the Pepsi logo on the booklet, but you sell advertising for products that tie into the band in question. Rise Against maybe ads for Vans or PETA, not just anybody willing to spend money.
Of course, that's just one band-aid on a much bigger issue, the RIAA and record labels in general becoming irrelevant. MP3s, digital distribution, faster internet connections, and things like myspace have made getting music out there much easier. The RIAA is going to need to embrace change if they want to stay around instead of making big deals out of people making a copy of a CD (which has been going on since the days of the fucking cassette).

I was going down those five, and my heart was sinking with every one, and then it hits JT.

Sadly, I doubt Apple will fight them. Now, if you want your music on the Ipod, you have to buy it from Itunes.
Hey, rappers name-drop brands and stuff all the time, I just don't want it to start happening in less gay types of music. -
Your heart sweats and teeth grind, another kiss and you'll be mine

Love the Taxi Driver stuff.
I really like the "Stories that mattered" speech in Lord of The Rings: The Two Towers. It is a very moving piece.
The ending of Sleeping With The Enemy is good.
Spoiler: Click here to viewWhen her abusive husband breaks into her house, and she's on the phone with 911 and has a gun in her hand."Come quickly please, I've just killed an intruder."
The look on his face is priceless.
For humor, this scene from Office Space.

Looks good, and ...
John Cena jobbed clean to the Great Khali and lost the WWE Title. The haters can bleat about his reign being too long at the time all they like, because they were about to endure something far worse.
I lol'd here. Cena's not great, but he's better than a cheap attempt to emulate Andre the Giant.

I'm surprised no one has whined about Lenny Kravitz ripping off Jimi Hendrix yet.

And R. Kelly's "You Remind Me of My Jeep" is my contribution to the thread, here's a sample of these brilliant lyrics:You remind me of my jeep; I wanna ride it
Something like my sounds, I wanna pump it
Girl you look just like my cars; I wanna wax it
And something like my bank account, I wanna spend it
Let's add the entire R. Kelly catalog while we're at it.
