  1. Yeah the CD is fantastic. Every song is great, the only one i'm not a huge fan of is #12 - The Willing Well I: Fuel For The Feeding End, I feel that it kind of drags on but it's still solid. I was worried when I bought concert tickets to go see them in November because they'd most likely be playing alot of new material and incase I didn't like the new stuff.

    I am no longer worried.

For favourite songs i'd have to say:

    1) The Suffering

    2) Ten Speed (Of God's Blood & Burial)

    3) Wake Up and Apollo I: The Writing Writer (Yeah I can't choose they both are awesome).

  2. I'm surprised Clawson hasn't taken a dig at me yet. If your wondering, yes I have been crying in the corner for the past day and a half :shifty:

Stevens was my favourite player ever, he's the one who really got me following the Devils after I seen him nearly kill Kozlov in '95 (and no comment on the dirty hits issue *ahem*). I just loved the way he played, great captain, great team leader and in my eyes a great defenceman (though not a point scorer). I'll miss him, and it's a huge hit for the devils defence. Hopefully the new editions in McGillis & Malahkov (sp?) can somewhat make up for losing Scotty & Neidermayer.

On another note, my early favourites would be Ottawa (because they've got a large chunk of their core back) and Philly (who I think got alot better with all their moves). In The West it's really a toss-up and i've got no clue who could come out of there.

    10033637.jpg

    oh....the memories................ :P

  3. Wow, I had missed this thread completely.

    1) First off....Fuck. Neidermayer leaving really hurts for New Jersey, but it's totally understandable why he left. It's just a shame Lou couldn't bait Anahiem into a trade that brought Rob over to play with Scott. Hopefully Rafalski can step up and become the #1 D-Man that NJ needs right now.

    2) The signings Of McGillis & Malakhov (Welcome Back) are good editions to the defencive core. The only thing i'm a bit weary about is Malakhov getting injured, i'm pretty sure he's been injury prone in the past. Although, not to the likes of someone named E. Lindros or Eric. L though. :shifty:

    3) Taking a look at their roster, they seem to have alot more grit for the upcoming season than in the past. With guys like Madden, McGillis, Oliwa, Marshall , Sean Brown & Darren Langdon, they could potentially be alot "scrappier" so to speak.

Lets just hope the almighty god that is Scott Stevens decides to re-sign, would be nice to have him back, espcially after the concussion he had in the last season.

EDIT: On another note, good to see that The Flames re-signed Kiprusoff (Spelt from memory) to a new contract.

  4. WWE CHAMPIONSHIP

    John Cena =O= versus JBL

Cena's not dropping the strap this early, especially back to JBL.

    UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP

Orlando Jordan =O= versus Christian versus Booker T

I was going to say Christian but I've changed my mind. Jordan picks up the win via a roll-up or something fluky after Christian & Booker are pre-occupied with one another.

    NO DISQUALIFICATION

    Kurt Angle versus The Undertaker

Angle picks up the win in this one, I just can't see Taker winning unless Kane possibly interferes or something to that effect.

Los Guerrero’s, Eddie & Chavo Guerrero versus Rey Mysterio & Juventud

Eddie finally gets his win over Mysterio and moves on to other things.

    CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

Paul London =O= versus Shannon Moore w/ ???

I think the manager will get involved and somehow cost London the match.

    TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS

MNM, Johnny Nitro & Joey Mercury w/ Melina =O= =O= versus The Dudley Boyz, Bubba Ray & D-Von Dudley

MNM cheat to keep the tag titles with them for the time being.

    NUNZIO INVITATIONAL

Nunzio w/ Ric Flair versus ???

I think Nunzio comtinues his streak over whoever it is...unless it's Brock Lesnar, then I've fucked up.

    VELOCITY MAIN EVENT

Val Venis w/ Steven Richards & Ivory versus Al Snow w/ Heidenreich

I can see Heidenreich possibly turning on Snow here, leading to the pinfall victory.

  5. Yeah they are one of my favourite bands right now. I was going to go see them at Edgefest but couldn't due to some personal reasons. Both "Second Stage Turbine Blade" & "In Keeping Secrects of Silent Earth: 3" are really good, you'll be happy with them i'd think.

My favourite songs would probably be "Blood Red Summer", "Three Evils (Embodied In Love & Shadow)", "A Favour House Atlantic" and "Cuts Marked In The March Of Men". Four really good songs right there.

Can't wait for their new CD too come out aswell, the anticipation is growing.

  6. Scramble Cage II:

Live March 13th from The RexPlex in Elizabeth, NJ - Start Time 7:30 PM:

    Scramble Cage II:

The Carnage Crew (Loc, DeVito, Masada & Justin Credible) Vs Special K (Hydro, Izzy, Dixie, Angel Dust & Whoever Else They Can Find)

    Rules:

    • One man from each team will start in the cage
    • Every two minutes thereafter, a man from a team will enter. This is dependant on who wins the coin toss. After 8 men have entered the “Scramble Cage” pinfalls become accecptable.
    • First pinfall or submission is victorious.
This bloody feud once began with Special K cheating to steal a victory during the summer of 2003. Since that time many things have happened. At “Wrath Of The Racket”, ROH’s very first Dayton event. Special K cheated to win and pinned Loc in the process. An enraged DeVito, who wasn’t there due to not being able to get off work looked to get revenge on Special K in Fairfield, CT. During the Tag Team Scramble that night, Special K managed to win again by cheating, even after The Carnage Crew had hit them with their Spike Piledriver finisher. The Crew challenged Special K to a Grudge Six-Man in Boston back at “Beating The Odds” - Hydro, Deranged & Angel Dust took on Loc, DeVito and Justin Credible and they managed to get a bit of revenge after winning (and piledriving Becky Bayless through a table). Later in the night, as Justin Credible was doing a Q&A session with the fans, Special K attacked and beatdown Credible with leather straps. This simple rivalry had become heated and personal.

After cheating to win The Tag Team Titles from The Backseat Boyz in Glen Burnie, MD. Special K were forced to take on The Carnage Crew in a title match. Izzy & Dixie won after Angel Dust interfered, and Loc & DeVito felt screwed once again. At the first Double-Shot weekend in a 10 Man Tag Team Match. These two teams met once again as Special K took on The SAT, Slugger & The Carnage Crew. After hitting the Spanish Fly, Loc made the cover, but Jose Maximo pushed him off as he wanted to make the pin. After they battled, Loc was rolled up as Special K stole another victory.

The two teams met on the afternoon card of Final Battle 2003, and as The Crew looked to have victory the match was stopped by the Philadelphia State Athletic Commission. At “The Last Stand” back In Glen Burnie in a Three-Way No DQ Match, Loc & Justin Credible handed out a brutal beating to Special K along with The Backseat Boyz. Just as The Crew finally looked to get a win, Acid & Kashmere turned on them and hit Loc with the T-Gimmick. Special K had gotten away again. Just one month ago at ROH’s “Second Anniversary Show” in a Old Fashioned Country Whipping Match, Special K struck The Carnage Crew’s last nerve. As DeVito chased Dixie & Becky Bayless backstage, and with Masada down, Special K hit Loc with a variation of The Carnage Crew’s own fishing move. After taking a Double Stuffed Piledriver through a table, Loc was laid out in the ring, like many times before. Now it has come to this, “Scramble Cage II” the original Scramble Cage made history, after this Scramble Cage, someone may BE history. Come witness the end of The Carnage Crew/Special K feud!!!

ROH World Title - Cage Match

(Note: Joe Can Only Win Via Pin, Submission or KO. Jay Briscoe May Escape The Cage):

Samoa Joe © Vs Jay Briscoe w/ Mark Briscoe

Back at “Beating The Odds” in a Four Corner survival including Chris Sabin, AJ Styles & ROH World Champion Samoa Joe, Jay Briscoe earned a ROH Title Shot after winning the match. During the match itself, Joe & AJ were more interested in each other, which lead to Jay getting a surprise victory after hitting the “Jay Driller” on Sabin. After the match Joe was not happy as he believed he should be the winner in every match he‘s in and the champ got up in the face of Briscoe. At “Tradition Continues” Jay got his shot at The ROH Title. Earlier in the night Jay had gone after the champ after he had been put-down verbally in-front of the crowd.

Throughout the actual match Joe dominated the crowd favourite, Joe for the first time showed heelish-tactics when Jay began to make comebacks. Jay had many near falls and fought back when he was thought to be down for the count. But Joe was too much, and after kicking out of The Island Driver, Jay was turned inside out by a vicious lariat. Jay's brother Mark came to his aid after the match and the champ cheap shotted the younger brother, choking him out in quick succession. Joe, once again mocked Jay after with a smug look on his face while giving a sarcastic like handshake. Jay Briscoe had showed himself to become a superstar in one night and this would become the beginning of The Briscoes being a thorn in the side of the ROH Champion.

At Main Event Spectacles, Joe chased The Prophecy out of the ring and along side him was Jim Cornette. The Briscoes came out to face off with the champ, but Cornette blindsided Joe with his patented tennis racket, and became manager for The Briscoes. Claiming he’d rather make champions that already have one, Cornette lead Jay & Mark to Tag Title glory later in the night.

The feud between The Briscoes & Samoa Joe had reached a boiling point and they faced off in a Tag Team Title match. Joe had hand-picked AJ Styles as his tag team partner. After mis-communication between Joe & AJ, Mark Briscoe hit a SSP, earning him a title shot at some point. Mark Briscoe would get his chance at Joe next, at the biggest show of the year "Final Battle 2003". Even with the moral support of Jay at ringside, Mark succumbed to "The Choke". Samoa Joe had defeated another and had choked Mark Briscoe out right in-front of his brother Jay, sending him a clear message.

At “The Battle Lines Are Drawn” Jay Briscoe managed to pin Bryan Danielson in a Tag Team Title defence, while Joe was busy on the outside hitting Mark with the ole ole kick. Feeling like he had let an opportunity slip away, Joe opted for one more re-match. This time with Jerry Lynn as his partner. In the end, Joe was blasted with Jim Cornette’s Tennis Racket and was pinned by Jay Briscoe. At the last show, in a Tag Team Title defence, Jay insulted the champ by winning with one of Joe’s trademark finishers “The Muscle Buster”. Jay has even gone as far as to saying he’ll defeat Joe by hitting him with his own move.

Now with, everything on the line Joe is looked to end his rivalry with The Briscoes. Meanwhile, Jay has everything in the world to gain and because of Jim Cornette’s influence all he has to do is escape the cage to become ROH World Champion. Will be crowning of a new ROH Champion?

    ROH Pure Wrestling Title:

"The Phenomenal" AJ Styles © Vs Matt Stryker

After defeating three very tough opponents to become the first ever ROH Pure Wrestling Champion, AJ Styles could be faced with his toughest match-up yet. Field Of Honor champion, Matt Stryker is looking to get back on track after being eliminated early in the tournament and this match has been favoured towards him. AJ suffered a heinous attack at the hands of his former protege’, Jimmy Rave after their match at the “Second Anniversary Show” and is still not up to 100% according to some people. This may be just what Stryker needs if he wants to get his first taste of ROH Gold. Stryker has said if he’s able to get his “Stryker Lock” on AJ this match will be over. Will Styles’ title reign last only one match? We’ll have to see!!!

Four Corner Survival: Winner Earns Spot In The ROH Top 5

"The All Around Best" Xavier w/ Prince Nana Representing The Embassy Vs "The Next" Alex Shelley Vs "The Future" Chris Sabin Vs Mark Briscoe

This could possibly be the most important match in all these men’s Ring Of Honor careers. “The All Around Best” Xavier is looking to get back in the ROH Title hunt while establishing The Embassy as a top faction in ROH. Xavier who has recently left The Prophecy needs some victories to get him in line for a #1 Contenders Trophy shot. “The Next” Alex Shelley, who impressively defeated the veteran Jerry Lynn to advance to the semi-finals of The Pure Wrestling Title Tournament is looking to continue his winning ways and Chris Sabin, who missed an opportunity at The Pure Wrestling Title due to injury is looking to get back on track. Meanwhile, Mark Briscoe is looking to get some singles wins as he's currently one half of the tag team champions. This is also a very dangerous match for these competitors as the losers will not be near contention for any ROH Titles in the near future and if anyone pins Mark Briscoe they could be in line for a future Tag Team Title shot.

    Saints Vs Prophecy:

The Second City Saints (Ace Steel & "Classic" Colt Cabana w/ Tracy Brooks) Vs The Prophecy (Dan Maff & BJ Whitmer) w/ Allison Danger

A continuation of the hottest feud in ROH. BJ Whitmer & Dan Maff continue to get revenge for their leader Christopher Daniels as he was put out of action by The Second City Saints after taking a “Pepsi Plunge” through a table. Meanwhile, The Saints are back to 100% after all missing The Second Anniversary Show, Steel has Japanese commitments, Cabana’s shoulders were injured at the hands of Maff & Whitmer at “The Last Stand” in Baltimore and the leader of The Second City Saints; CM Punk took time off top help Cabana recuperate in time for this event. Who will gain the advantage in this war of factions!!!

    Tag Team Scramble:

The Backseat Boyz (Trent Acid & Johnny Kashmere) Vs Petey Williams & Jack Evans Vs Dunn & Marcos Vs The Outkast Killaz (Diablo Santiago & Oman Tortuga)

The Tag Team Scramble, a mainstay on ROH Shows will be showcased in front of what is likely to be the biggest crowd in ROH History. Each team in this match has something to gain from a victory. The Backseat Boyz of Trent Acid & Johnny Kashmere missed their scheduled Tag Team Title match against The Briscoes at “The Second Anniversary Show” due to a car accident. They will get a Tag Team Title match in the future but need momentum as they are still the hottest tag team in ROH, having not lost a singles or tag match since October.

The new tandem of Petey Williams & Jack Evans are looking to impress in their ROH debut (as a team). Evans of course has amazed crowds in his two prior ROH appearances, including his breath taking Double Moonsault from the top of the Scramble Cage, back at “Main Event Spectacles”. Williams, another Canadian Based wrestler, who is out of the Can-AM Wrestling School in Windsor, Ontario has made appearances all over the U.S. and is famous for his “Canadian Destroyer” flipping piledriver. They two are looking to make an impact on the ROH tag team scene.

Meanwhile, The Outkast Killaz & The Ring Crew Express of Dunn & Marcos are looking to get some wins and potentially get off of ring crew. Dunn & Marcos showed alot of heart at “The Second Anniversary Show” but were decimated by The Briscoe Brothers in a impromptu Tag Team Title Match. With more experience, Dunn & Marcos could become one of the best Tag Teams in ROH. A win here would be huge for The Ring Crew Express.

After winning a Scramble Match earlier today during the “Do Or Die II” afternoon card, The Outkast Killaz have some momentum going into tonight's match. Not being able to garner alot of wins and catch alot of breaks, Oman & Diablo are looking to showcase their skills in front of all the ROH fans.

    Jimmy Rave's Open Challenge:

Jimmy Rave Vs Any Former ROH Opponent Of AJ Styles

After heinously attacking his former mentor AJ Styles, after their first round match in the Pure Wrestling Title Tournament, Jimmy Rave has set out on a quest of his own. Rave stated that Styles never really wanted to mentor Jimmy he was giving him bad advice and was holding him back so he wouldn’t be shown-up but his young protege’. Rave has made this a personal issue, and it started by him snapping and chop-blocking Styles in Boston. Jimmy has laid out an open challenge to any former ROH opponent of AJ Styles, he is destined to show AJ that he never needed him and that he is the true better wrestler. Will Rave show this or has he bitten off more than he can chew?

    Singles Match:

"Hurricane" John Walters Vs CM Punk

In a first time ever meeting, “Hurricane” John Walters & CM Punk will do battle. Walters has been impressive lately, winning his feud against Xavier after an absolutely brutal “Fight Without Honor” and defeating Chad Collyer on back-to-back occasions. Walters with a win here would be in line for a shot at the #1 Contenders Trophy. Meanwhile, after taking The Second Anniversary Show off to help Colt Cabana recuperate, CM Punk needs a win and some momentum going into the huge Midwest double shot. Punk wants to be in the big time match when he goes back to his hometown of Chicago.

PLUS!!! Gary Michael Capetta & Julius Smokes will have “The Notorious 187”Homicide’s Huge Announcement!!!

GA tickets available at the door, $15 each. Card subject to change

OOC: The show is next, I shall get to work. Thanks for all the comments everyone. Feedback, likes/dislikes and what you want to see more/less of is always welcome.

  7. 3/13, ROH in Elizabeth NJ: Ring Of Honor “Do Or Die II” Excalibur/Super Dragon, B-Boy, Rave, Plus More...

    Ring Of Honor event report

    Mar 13th, 2004

    Elizabeth, NJ.

Ring Of Honor held their “Do Or Die II” show in The RexPlex in Elizabeth, NJ today. The RexPlex seems to be the Madison Square Garden of ROH. Holding what many consider there best two shows to date (Death Before Dishonor & Main Event Spectacles) and now tonight's “Scramble Cage II” which is headlined by possibly the biggest ROH Title match yet, a steel cage match between Samoa Joe & Jay Briscoe. The day kicked off with an afternoon show that will showcase talent from around the country and talent that is used less often by ROH. It’s more of a tryout/showcase show before the big show. The RexPlex building is interesting, very big, has a skate park for kids among several other activity venues in other parts of the building itself. I was lucky enough to attend “Main Event Spectacles” here and the set-up was very good, great lighting/backdrop, looked very professional, as it does here.

The crowd looked to be in the 550 range, which is good as it’s just the afternoon show. God knows how many people are going to show up for the main show, especially with so many fans in the area because of Wrestlemania tomorrow. Anyway, The event began a bit late at 3:21 PM, but the crowd was still excited. Our first match of the evening began:

    (1) Matt Sydal d. Delirious at 10:04.

Not too many people in the crowd were familiar  with these guys, but I'd seen them a few times from The IWA-MS tapes I've ordered. Delirious works the crazy type gimmick, who shouts out really random things and does really random things. Sydal is your typical light-heavyweight worker, but is really well put together. Sydal is the current IWA-MS Light-Heavyweight Champion. Both these guys hail from the St. Louis area.

The match started off with some nice mat work from both men, using holds and counter holds. Delirious gained the early advantage by countering a Sydal Irish whip into a sit out spinebuster, before rolling over into a Boston crab. He continued to work over the back and neck of Sydal for the first two of three minutes, until Sydal countered a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker attempt into a head scissors. Delirious ended up on the floor thanks to this and Sydal went up top, hitting a beautiful twisting moonsault plancha too the floor. That really woke up the crowd. Both men started to go into their arsenal, pulling out signature moves. Sydal hit a beautiful monkey flip in the corner that sent Delirious half-way across the ring. Delirious caught a Sydal superkick attempt and threw his foot back but Sydal flipped forward and caught Delirious in the shoulder with a boot, Matt got back to his feet and hit his “Here It Is Driver” (Half-Nelson Pump Handle Driver) for a two count. Sydal laid Delirious flat and spring boarded off the ropes with a twisting senton, but Delirious got the knees up, continuing the work on the back. He pulled Sydal back to his feet and yelled some gibberish before nearly killing him with “Chemical Imbalance II”. The crowd really thought it was over at that point but Sydal grabbed the ropes at 2. Delirious headed for the top and nailed his “Shadows Over Hell” backsplash for another two count. He headed up too the top again but was cut off by a Sydal spin-kick. After a bit of tussling on the top, Sydal flattened Delirious with his “Moonsault Belly-To-Belly Suplex” which earned him a three count. Good opener, the final minutes really got the crowd into it and these two relative unknowns on the east coast really earned the crowds respect in this one. I do think with more time it could’ve been better, but still a really solid opener. ** 3/4

    (2) Nigel McGuiness d. “The Anarchist“ Arik Cannon at 11:14.

Cannon has become a regular with IWA-MS as of late, after working for several Minnesota Indies like MPW and has been putting on some really good matches. McGuiness who is a mainstay for HWA in Ohio and has worked a couple ROH shows in the past including my first live show “Main Event Spectacles”.

McGuiness was the clear favourite as he was more known and impressed in his last visit too Jersey. Alot of British style wrestling too start it off, but Cannon gained control when he hit some stiff forearms to the face of Nigel. Cannon took it back to the mat, but every time he went for a move, Nigel would always counter it into something of his own. Arik seemed frustrated and bailed to the floor, where he mixed it up with some of the fans, putting himself over as the heel even more so. The match was more of a slow and methodical British style as I said before, and it didn’t flow very well. Perhaps these two just didn’t gel together very well. They tried to pick it up in the last three or so minutes. Nigel did his headstand spot in the corner, Cannon rushed in and Nigel fell grabbed his head and countered it. He turned around, lifted Cannon up and placed him feet first on the ropes and dropped him right on his dome, the move only garnered Nigel a two count as Cannon got a foot on the ropes.

Nigel went for a piledriver, but Cannon countered it and Alabama slammed McGuiness right into the corner. Nigel fell forward and Cannon sent him over with an exploder suplex, which he followed up with another and finally gave Nigel an exploder into the corner for a two count. Cannon rushed in and was met with a big boot, Nigel then did the Artful Dodger routine and rolled Arik up for two. Nigel went for another piledriver, but was back body dropped, but he countered it with a sunset flip, Cannon rolled through though and when McGuiness got back to one knee, Cannon hit his “Glimmering Warlock” (Climb-Up Enzugiri) but only got a two count. Cannon backed up and stalked Nigel, he went for another Warlock but Nigel ducked it and rolled him up for a three count. Nigel got the crowd into it, but the match didn’t flow that well. It ended nicely, but it seemed like the two didn’t gel together very well, perhaps different opponents would’ve been better. Still a decent match, albeit disappointing. ** 1/4

    (3) The Outkast Killaz d. Caprice Coleman and Rainman, Don Juan and Fast Eddie & All Money Is Legal In A Tag Team Scramble To Advance To The "Scramble Cage II" Night Show Scramble Match, at 8:17.

AMIL came out first, these guys work more of a lucha oriented style from the matches I've seen in CZW. Caprice Coleman & Rainman came out next, these guys work alot for NWA Wildside, where Rainman is currently the TV Champion and is a rival of Coleman. Don Juan & Fast Eddie came out next to a nice reception, these guys worked for ROH alot in 2002 and the first half of 2003 it’s nice too see them get a chance to come back. The Outkast Killaz were the last team out and got the biggest response. These guys have been working ring crew along with Dunn & Marcos for god knows how long.

This on started off with some decent wrestling between Caprice Coleman and Oman but, it ended up breaking down pretty quickly and the action was too fast too keep up with. There were some really nice spots, including K-Pusha hitting a Swanton off the top onto the groin of Diablo Santiago who was seated in the corner, The Killaz hitting Fast Eddie with an "Elevated Cobra Clutch/Dropkick Combo" and Coleman coming off the ropes with a beautiful spinning heel kick. But you could tell these guys were saving the big spots until the end. AMIL flattened Oman with a unique double team move, but K-Pusha got wiped out by a Coleman/Rainman double "Team Spinesplitta/Edge-O-Matic combo".

Meanwhile K-Murda got a Snap-Russian leg sweep from Fast Eddie and ended up on the outside with Don Juan. Eddie ran towards Rainman but he ducked a clothesline attempt and Rainman did a no-look back flip plancha onto Juan and K-Murda on the outside. Back in the ring Eddie and Coleman started brawling and Caprice dumped Eddie on his head with a German suplex and after Eddie rolled to the outside along beside Rainman, Juan & K-Pusha, Caprice hit a high springboard cross-body to the pile of humanity on the outside. On the inside, K-Pusha was recovering after taking that nice double team from Rainman & Coleman and got caught with a "Russian Leg Sweep/Yakuza Kick Combo" from The Outkast Killaz that earned them a three count. Solid match again, some nice spots, but not the best scramble I've seen. The one tonight will probably be much better, especially with a guy like Jack Evans in it. ** 1/2

    (4) Hydro of Special K w/ Becky Bayless d. “The Wrestling Machine“ Austin Aries at 16:11.

Aries comes out first, crowd doesn’t really know much about him and neither do I. I do know he’s going to be in the ECWA Super 8 next month and he’s been a breakout star in the Midwest apparently. Hydro entered next with the stunning Becky Bayless, he danced around ringside for a bit before entering the ring. Hydro refused to shake hands with Aries before the match. Aries controlled the opening portion of the match mostly, working over the neck of Hydro. He managed to come back with a big left-armed lariat that turned Aries inside out. Austin used alot of nice combination moves, leaping over the top rope and dropping Hydro’s neck on the ropes and then landing on the floor (reminiscent of the “Macho Man” Randy Savage) before leaping back to the apron and sling-shotting in with a twisting plancha that earned a 2 count and then a lionsault for another two.

Hydro came back with some chops and forearms, but got cut off once again before getting whipped into the ropes and caught right in the mouth with a huge dropkick to the mouth. Aries followed it up by leaping half way across the ring with a jumping elbow drop to the sternum of Hydro and then hitting a swinging pendulum elbow for two at around 11:00. Aries signalled for the end as he went for his brainbuster (one of his finishers apparently), but Hydro countered out with a knee to the head and hit a leg lariat, followed by two consecutive clotheslines and a bodyslam. Hydro went to the top and hit a diving head butt for a two count.

Hydro said “That’s It!” and stalked Aries as he tried to get back to a standing base. When he got back up, Hydro hit the ropes and went for another lariat but Aries ducked and came back with a devastating roaring forearm to the face. Hydro was stunned and Aries lifted him up and connected with a sick looking snap "Brainbuster", but he managed to kick out at two. Aries dragged him to the ropes and went upstairs looking for the 450 splash, but Hydro rolled out of the way and Aries managed to land on his feet. Austin rolled through and ran to the turnbuckle and leaped off the second and tried to hit a back elbow on the following Hydro but he caught Aries and dropped him on his dome with a Dragon Suplex. Best match up to this point and second best match of the night. *** 1/4

    (5) “The New Age Punisher“ B-Boy d. Jay Fury at 9:12.

This was a match of two different styles that actually mixed very well together. Fury wrestles mostly in NWA Wildside and in Florida and is more of an aerial based wrestler, who many predict could be the best thing to come out of Wildside ever but only once he refines his skills a bit. B-Boy came out next to the loudest reaction of the night so far. Everybody in the building was cheering for B-Boy except Green Lantern Fan who was yelling “Come on Jay” the entire match.

Just before they locked up, the crowd started up the “B-Boy’s gonna kill you” chant. They locked up, B-Boy quickly took it too the ground and worked Fury over there. B-Boy kept a head scissors on Fury but he kipped up and went for a kick to the head of B-Boy (ala Tajiri) but he ducked and B-Boy kipped up himself and nailed a wicked palm strike to the jaw of Fury. B-Boy controlled the match for a bit, working over various parts of his opponents body. The momentum switched when B-Boy went for a Death Valley Driver, but Fury dropped out the back and dumped him on his head with a German suplex that earned him a two count. Fury picked B-Boy back up and kicked him in the side of the head with his left foot (while holding B-Boy’s left hand) three times and then switched over with an leaping kick to the back of the head. Fury laid B-Boy down and went for a lionsault attempt but B-Boy rolled out of the way towards the ropes, luckily Fury landed on his feet. B-Boy went for a clothesline attempt but Fury ducked it matrix style and kipped back up before hitting an Enziguri to the head of B-Boy, the “Enzifury” earned him another two count. Fury hit a brainbuster and rolled with it and looked for a second but B-Boy countered and hit a 2K1 bomb for a two count.

They battled back and forth for another minute or so before B-Boy Irish whipped Fury into the turnbuckle and hit a running palm strike, sending Jay slumping in the corner. B-Boy ran back towards the opposite corner and came running in with his “Face Lift” running dropkick to the face for a two count. B-Boy looked to end it with the “Criss-Cross Piledriver” but Fury fought out of it and back dropped B-Boy to the floor. Fury gained some momentum from the crowd and hit a springboard dragonrana to the floor for a “Holy Shit” chant.

Fury rolled B-Boy back into the ring and headed up top and hit a beautiful Frog Splash Elbow Drop for a two. Fury waited for B-Boy to get up before hitting a kick to the stomach before back flipping over a hunched over B-Boy and attempting a German Suplex. B-Boy landed on his feet however and hit a dragon suplex and rolled through, he turned Fury around and spiked him on his head with the “Criss-Cross” Piledriver, Fury grabbed his head as B-Boy waited for him to get back to a knee. When he did B-Boy almost took his head off with a "Shining Wizard" which earned him the victory. Solid match, would‘ve been better with more time but I'd like to see both guys back at another point. ** 3/4

***Intermission Time***. I headed over to the merchandise table and picked up ROH’s first doubleshot shows “The Conclusion & War of The Wire” aswell as “Final Battle 2003” on DVD.

    (6) Jimmy Rave d. Angel Dust of Special K w/ Cheech, Cloudy & Lit at 6:42

The Special K kids came out first, they don’t look to worried about their match versus the Carnage Crew tonight. I wonder what the “Surprise” is that they have up their sleeves. Jimmy Rave came out next and the crowd ripped on him, they can finally justify hating Rave now that he’s heel I suppose.

Rave controlled basically the entire match and actually worked the crowd very well, especially when GLF told him he “fucking sucked” and retorted with not as much as your mother did last night. Rave worked over the head of Angel Dust, grounding him with front face and head locks before flipping over and putting him in a modified muta lock of sorts. Rave Irish whipped AD into the ropes but his knee to the mid-section was countered with a roll through and a two count, Rave was pissed and got straight back up and went for a clothesline but AD ducked and came off the ropes with a jumping kick to the face. AD took Rave’s head and put him in a cravat and hit several quick knees to the head before snapmaring him over and hitting some brutal kicks to the back. AD somersaulted over and kicked Rave in the face for another two count.

Just as he was getting momentum Rave came back with a Rib-Breaker, Backbreaker and a head & arm suplex after ducking an attempted clothesline. Rave picked AD back up and crushed him with a backdrop driver that made him land right on his head. Rave then hit his “Shining Wizard/Running Knee” for a two count only and he looked shocked.

He waited for AD to get back up and he went for a clothesline but AD ducked and hit the ropes, Rave though came back and connected with a “Discus Lariat” that took his head off. Rave made the academic pin and said “That’s for you AJ” as he picked up the win. Angel Dust is getting better and could develop into a prospect with more experience & ROH matches under his belt. Solid match, albeit a squash for Rave **.

    (7) “The Messiah Of The Backbreaker“ Roderick Strong d. Sonjay Dutt, “Dynamite“ Josh Daniels & Slyk Wagner Brown w/ April Hunter in a Four Corner Survival match at 12:57.

Another solid match. Sonjay just was beaten on and tossed around like a rag doll by everyone in the match. In a cool sequence, Slyk clotheslined Strong over the top rope and then bieled Dutt over the top and onto him, before getting planted on his head by a Josh Daniels tiger suplex. Later in the match, Daniels and Strong lit it up with a vicious chop battle. Each of them lit up the other’s chest, but Daniels eventually won when Roderick went to throw one but half-way through his delivery stopped and fell to a knee as he clutched at his own chest. Sonjay as I said earlier got beat on, Slyk caught him off of a hurricanranna attempt and gave him three straight power bombs and then tossed him to Roderick Strong who caught Dutt on his shoulders before elevating him and dropping him down with double knees to the mid-section.

The match broke down as all four wrestlers got in the ring and slugged it out. Sonjay came off the top with a hurricanranna onto Daniels. He set him up and went back up top and looked for the “Hindu Press” (Phoenix Splash) but Slyk cut him off and hit the “Slyk Slam” (Crucifix Bomb Into A Flipping Sitout Slam) off the second rope, taking Sonjay out of the equation. Slyk got back up and went for a clothesline on Strong but he ducked and planted Wagner Brown with a half-nelson into a backbreaker. Roderick picked him up and hit CX’02 (Crucifix Bomb Into An Ace Crusher) for a two, but it was broken up by Josh Daniels. They chopped it out again, but Strong ducked a chop and hit a lung blower. He picked Daniels back up and hit CX’03 (Cross-Armed Widows Peak) for the victory. Good match, Slyk was somewhat sloppy at times but they held it together nicely. ** 3/4

    (8) “The Barbaric Berzerker“ Jimmy Jacobs d. Danny Daniels at 14:21.

Big huss chants for Jacobs as he entered. Daniels came out next with his IWA-MS Heavyweight Title belt. They shook hands, but Daniels pulled Jacobs back in and punched him in the face, which got him instantaneous heel heat.

Daniels controlled the match, just laying it into Jimmy for the most part. Daniels slapped Jacobs across the back and it sounded like a gunshot. Jacobs continued to get beat on for the first five or six minutes until he “Hussed-Up” and got the crowd behind him. Daniels slammed Jacobs head into the turnbuckle padding, but he no-sold it and Jimmy rammed his own head over and over on the padding. Daniels just looked at the crowd before poking Jacobs in the eyes. Daniels hit a nice traditional piledriver that earned him a two count at 7:03. Daniels missed a splash in the corner and Jacobs rolled up Daniels for a quick two count. Jimmy Irish whipped Daniels into the ropes but when he hit the ropes he held on and said “No Way Baby!” Jimmy simply came over and gave Daniels a neckbreaker to the canvas. Jacobs then grabbed onto the ropes and hit six consecutive double stomps to the chest of Daniels.

About 10 minutes into the match, Jacobs attempted to whip Daniels into the ropes but Daniels reversed it and pulled Jacobs up and planted him with a "Tombstone Piledriver" for another two count. Daniels pulled Jacobs up and hit some hard-chops to the chest before hitting a fireman’s carry into a neckbreaker across the knee for another two. Daniels pulled Jacobs back up and hit a fireman’s carry into a gutbuster, then he swung Jacobs across his body into a gutbuster before following it up with a double stomp and senton for another two count.

Daniels called for a finish as the crowd chanted “HUSS!” for Jacobs. Danny picked Jacobs up for another Tombstone but Jacobs dropped out of the back and pushed Daniels into the turnbuckle chest first. As Daniels backed up, Jacobs hit a big furry boot to the back of the head, sending him to the mat. Jacobs, who was clutching his ribs and neck ascended to the top rope and went for a flying crossbody but it was countered into another gutbuster.

Daniels went for the tombstone again but Jacobs once again dropped out the back and went for the “Contra Code” (Overhead Spinning Bulldog) but as he was up in the air, Daniels changed position and got Jimmy on his shoulder before near crippling him with a "Electric Chair/Rubix Cube" but it only earned him a two count. Daniels went for it again, but Jacobs fought out with punches and hit his reverse pedigree type move before hitting the “Contra Code” for the three. Good match, the heel/face dynamic in this match was very good. The only complaint I had was the kicking out of the Electric Chair/Rubix Cube after already taking alot of work to the neck. ** 3/4

    (9) Super Dragon d. Excalibur at 17:34.

The place went absolutely apeshit for Super Dragon when he came out. The two shook hands, but Excalibur slapped Dragon before booting it out of the ring. The crowd started up the “Dragon’s Gonna Kill You” chant as Dragon chased Excalibur around ringside and back into the ring where he was cut off with stomps by Excalibur. Excalibur climbed the rope and played to the crowd as he was proud of outsmarting Super Dragon. Dragon had gotten back to his feet and was staring at Excalibur as he stood on the second rope. Excalibur tried to bail out of the ring but Super Dragon pulled him back in and brought him to the middle of the ring. He let go of him and wanted to shake hands again, Excalibur went to shake hands but Super Dragon faked him out and ball tapped him before unleashing a vicious chop much to the crowds approval.

Dragon dominated the match early, hitting stiff forearms to the mask of Excalibur. Excalibur fought back though going for forearms himself but Dragon came off the ropes with a brutal forearm, looking like it decapitated Excalibur. Super Dragon continued the beating hitting a backdrop driver after reversing out of a neckbreaker attempt. Dragon tried to dump Excalibur to the outside but he hung onto the top rope and maintained a standing base on the apron, Dragon attempted a shoulder to the mid-section but Excalibur moved and hit a legdrop to the back of the neck, leading to Dragon spilling to the floor. Excalibur got back in the ring and rallied the fans before hitting a tope’ suicida (Suicide Dive) to the floor. Nearing the end of the match, Excalibur gained control after countering out of a “Psycho Driver” attempt, dropping out the back and turning Super Dragon around before hitting a Brainbuster for a two count. Excalibur Irish whipped Dragon into the corner and went in for a splash but Dragon moved and then he nearly killed Excalibur with the “Violence Party” (Alternating Chops & Forearms, Then Headbutts, Knees To The Head and Kicks To The Face) but it only earned him a two count. Dragon signalled for the Lariat, but Excalibur ducked the attempt and turned Dragon inside out with one of his own, but only got a two.

Excalibur went for his version of the “Tiger Driver” (Double Underhook Piledriver) but Dragon countered out of it and hooked Excalibur and hit his “Supernatural Psycho Driver” (Pumphandle Into Piledriver) but somehow Excalibur kicked out at two!! A “bullshit chant was started up by the crowd” as Dragon just shook his head. He picked up Excalibur and dumped him on his head with a “Psycho Driver” (Torture Rack Into Piledriver), Dragon looked for the pin but reconsidered and went up top. He stood for a second before flipping off a motionless Excalibur, Dragon came off and hit a sick double stomp to the head of Excalibur who laid on the mat. 1....2....3, This one was over. Excellent match, these two really just beat the shit out of each other but within all the head drops they still used alot of good wrestling holds. MOTN *** 1/2

    Final Thoughts:

The show ended at 5:31 PM and ran about 2 Hrs & 10 Mins. I enjoyed this alot, there is alot of talent that appeared on here that would be able to hold their own on the main shows. The improvement of the Special K kids, Hydro in particular is a great sign. All the matches were solid or good, the only disappointment was the Nigel/Cannon match and it wasn’t a particular problem but it seemed they just didn’t gel well together. Can’t wait for the “Scramble Cage II” show tonight.

  8. Locker Room Scoops - March 3rd, 2004:

    - Congratulations to Jerry Lynn who has signed a contract with WWE. Good luck and thanks go out to Jerry for his contributions to Ring Of Honor. Unfortunately Jerry will not be able to appear at "Scramble Cage" II or the Mid-West doubleshot due to the recent events.

    - Two more matches have been signed for 3/13 in the RexPlex. In a first time meeting in ROH, CM Punk will take on "Hurricane" John Walters. After taking time off to help Colt Cabana recuperate, Punk needs momentum going into the doubleshot, especially in his hometown of Chicago. Walters on the other hand, needs some more victories if he wants a shot at the #1 Contenders Trophy. Also, a Tag Team Scramble has been signed: The Backseat Boyz of Trent Acid & Johnny Kashmere Vs Dunn & Marcos Vs the new team of Jack Evans and Petey Williams Vs a team TBA.

    - Close colleagues of Samoa Joe's have been saying that the champ has been very stressed out as of late as his biggest ROH World Title defence approaches. With the mind games by Jim Cornette stating that Jay Briscoe will pin Joe with one of his own finishers "The Muscle Buster" and simply the fact that Jay only needs to escape the cage to win the belt, Joe has been stressed.

    - "The New Age Punisher" B-Boy will make his ROH debut on the "Do Or Die II" Card, also several Midwest standouts have been signed to the show. These wrestlers include: Delirious, "The Wrestling Machine" Austin Aries, "The Anarchist" Arik Cannon & Matt Sydal. Northeast tag team All Money Is Legal aswell as Florida standout Jay Fury have also been signed to the show.

    - Matt Stryker is apparently as confident as ever going into his ROH Pure Title Match with AJ Styles in just two weeks. AJ's knee is rumoured to still not be 100% after the attack by Jimmy Rave at the Second Anniversary Show. Stryker believes that if he gets the "Stryker Lock" on AJ then he will be the new Pure Wrestling Champion.

    - A Four Corner Survival match has been signed for the "Do Or Die II" card. It will be "The Messiah Of The Backbreaker" Roderick Strong Vs "Dynamite" Josh Daniels Vs Slyk Wagner Brown w/ April Hunter Vs Sonjay Dutt.

    - Loc of The Carnage Crew recently called ROH offices and said that they should expect an amount of violence un-seen in Ring Of Honor before. Loc also said, Special K can bring whatever "surprises" they want, because in the RexPlex The Carnage Crew will finally get revenge.

    - "Hurricane" John Walters is apparently looking at his match with CM Punk at "Scramble Cage II" as his biggest match to date in his young Ring Of Honor career. Walters has hinted towards going for the Pure Wrestling Title if he gets an opportunity to wrestle for the #1 Contenders Trophy, which he'll most likely get a shot at if he wins against Punk.

    - The special guests for the 3/13 bus trip from New York City to The RexPlex will be none other than Julius "The Devil's Son In-Law" Smokes, Chris Sabin and Gary Michael Capetta. A Q&A session will take place on the bus aswell as DVD watching from previous ROH Events. For more into on the trip, Email Agentclpt@aol.com for all the info or check WrestlingBusTrips.com.

    Locker Room Scoops - March 10th, 2004:

    - Both Jay Briscoe and Samoa Joe's camps have been completely silent this week in preparation for the Steel Cage Match this Saturday in The RexPlex. You have to wonder what the mental state of both men, going into possibly the biggest matches of their careers.

    - Jimmy Rave has set-out an open challenge to any former ROH opponent of Pure Wrestling Champion and former mentor AJ Styles. Rave has said that Styles should watch his matches very carefully on Saturday because he has a surprise for him. Also, Rave will face Angel Dust of Special K on the "Do Or Die II" show.

    - The Prophecy/Second City Saints war rages on still as both teams prepare for their Tag Team battle on Saturday. Dan Maff was quoted as saying "Each group is 1 and 1 in terms of moral victories (SCS taking out Christopher Daniels, Prophecy taking out Colt Cabana) but The Prophecy will gain the advantage in the war for group supremacy in Ring of Honor with a victory on Saturday".

    - The Last of The "Do Or Die II" matches have been signed. First a Tag Team Scramble will take place, and the winning team will advance to the 3/13 "Scramble Cage II" night show and take part in the Scramble on that show. It will be; Rainman & Caprice Coleman Vs All Money Is Legal Vs Don Juan & Fast Eddie Vs The Outkast Killaz. Also several one-on-one matches have been signed. "The New Age Punisher" B-Boy will take on Jay Fury, Nigel McGuiness is in action against "The Anarchist" Arik Cannon. "The Wrestling Machine" Austin Aries squares off against Hydro of Special K and Matt Sydal Vs Delirious is also scheduled. Remember, if the talent is impressive they may get future ROH bookings, if not we may never see them again!!!

Tickets only $5 and free if you bring your ticket for the “Scramble Cage II” night show!

    - "The Human Torture Device" Doug Williams will return to ROH sometime this summer. ROH has a full summer schedule this year including stops in Boston, Dayton, Philly and Baltimore.

    - Special K has dropped some more hints towards what their "big" surprise is for "Scramble Cage II". The rich kid ravers have said that they have someone to "guard" them from getting any punishment. On Saturday we will finally find out what this means. Special K has also stated that Izzy, Dixie, Hydro & Angel Dust will be the four participants inside the Scramble Cage.

    - Julius Smokes has revealed that Homicide's message has to do with the Midwest Doubleshot weekend.

    - There is still no word on when "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels will return to ROH. Allison Danger has refused to release any details on Daniels condition.

  9. Locker Room Scoops - February 18th, 2004:

    - After a fantastic night of Pure Wrestling, "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles is the first ever ROH Pure Wrestling Champion. Winning the title after great victories over Jimmy Rave, Alex Shelley & Doug Williams, AJ is committed to bring prestige to the belt as he's scheduled to defend it for the first time on March 13th at "Scramble Cage II" against Field Of Honor Winner, Matt Stryker. The ever dangerous Stryker used his FOH victory to gain this oppertunity and with AJ's knee weakened from Jimmy Rave's vicious attack the "Stryker Lock" is more dangerous than ever.

    - Special K aren't coming alone to the RexPlex. What does this mean? We'll find out in the coming weeks!!!

    - ROH World Champion Samoa Joe felt insulted on Saturday after Jay Briscoe used the "Muscle Buster" to retain his Tag Team Titles against Dunn & Marcos. Joe said he will go to any length to make sure Jay Briscoe does not escape the cage on March 13th.

    - Johnny Kashmere is feeling better after being involved in a car accident on his way to The Second Anniversary Show. The Backseat's lost their Tag Team Title oppertunity on that night, but will get another shot in the near future. Acid & Kashmere said they'll be at full strength for "Scramble Cage II".

    - At The Second Anniversary Show, Gary Michael Capetta informed The Prophecy of Dan Maff & BJ Whitmer that on 3/13 they'll be faced with The Second City Saints of Ace Steel & returning to action "Classic" Colt Cabana. The Prophecy/Second City Saints feud rages on 3/13 at The RexPlex!!!

    - War Of The Wire is flying off the proverbial shelfs. The Main Event "No Rope Barbwire" match between Steve Corino & Homicide is getting rave reviews. Get your copy now!!! Final Battle 2003, headed by All Japan Pro Wrestling Vs Ring Of Honor is now avaliable on DVD. Check RFVideo.com for more details.

    - Teddy Hart has been forced to cancel off of the 3/13 RexPlex event. Hart suffered a career threatning knee injury on the weekend competing for IWC. It is predicted that Hart may miss up to a year and a half with the injury. Here's hoping this young charasmatic & controversial star can get well soon.

    - A few more names have been signed for the "Do or Die II" afternoon show on March 13th in The RexPlex: Rainman & Caprice Coleman, Don Juan of The Texas Wrestling Academy, Nigel McGuiness, Slyk Wagner Brown & April Hunter and Sonjay Dutt!!! Already Signed are; Excalibur, Jimmy Jacobs, Danny Daniels, Fast Eddie, The Outkast Killaz, Josh Daniels, Roderick Strong, Angel Dust of Special K & Super Dragon. More names to be announced in the coming weeks along with matches.

Tickets only $5 and free if you bring your ticket for the “Scramble Cage II” night show!

    - The bus trip to the 3/13 Elizabeth, NJ event from NYC will have some special guests. Check the newswire in the coming weeks for more info on who these guests are. For more into on the trip, Email Agentclpt@aol.com for all the info or check WrestlingBusTrips.com.

    - AJ Styles has told us that he doesn't know what is going on in Jimmy Rave's head, but he's primed to get revenge on his former protege' for viciously attacking his knee after their match this past saturday.

    - The new ROH Top 5 Rankings are as follows:

    1) Vacant (#1 Contenders Trophy Holder)

    2) Jay Briscoe (Recieves ROH World Title Shot 3/13)

    3) Doug Williams (Gains spot after victories over a ranked wrestler - #4 John Walters & Field Of Honor winner Matt Stryker)

    4) John Walters (Stays in the #4 spot after advancing to Pure Wrestling Title Tournament Semi-Finals)

    5) Dan Maff (Falls a few spots, but stays in Top 5 after not taking the pinfall in the triple threat match)

    Locker Room Scoops - March 13th, 2004:

    - Jim Cornette phoned ROH head offices this past week and said to tell Samoa Joe that Jay Briscoe will be ready to end his ROH World Title reign at "Scramble Cage II". Cornette said that Jay will be waiting for his opportunity to hit the "Muscle Buster" on Joe to win the title. These are obvious mind games from one of the greatest managers in wrestling history.

    - Speaking of The Briscoes, a huge Four Corner Survival has been signed for The RexPlex on 3/13. Not only will this happen on possibly ROH's biggest show ever but the winner will get a spot in the top 5 rankings. It will be Former ROH World Champion, "The All Around Best" Xavier w/ Prince Nana Vs "The Future" Chris Sabin Vs "The Next" Alex Shelley Vs ROH Tag Team Champion, Mark Briscoe.

    - The Carnage Crew are primed and ready to go as their big feud ending match with Special K inside The Scramble Cage approaches. The feud reached new levels in Boston after Special K hit Loc with a Double Stuffed Spike Piledriver through a table, a variation of The Carnage Crew's own finisher.

    - The first two matches have been signed for the "Do Or Die II" afternoon card. First, "The Barbaric Berzerker" Jimmy Jacobs will take on Danny Daniels and, in The Main Event, Excalibur will battle Super Dragon!!! In other "Do Or Die II" news, Hydro of Special K has been signed to wrestle. More Matches to be signed with; Rainman & Caprice Coleman, Fast Eddie & Don Juan of The Texas Wrestling Academy, Nigel McGuiness, Slyk Wagner Brown & April Hunter, Sonjay Dutt, The Outkast Killaz, Josh Daniels, Hydro & Angel Dust of Special K and Roderick Strong. More names & matches to be announced in the coming weeks.

Tickets only $5 and free if you bring your ticket for the “Scramble Cage II” night show!

    - "Classic" Colt Cabana of The Second City Saints is extremely excited to get back in the ring with the two men that put him on the shelf. Colt says his shoulder is about 90% but he will be fully healed by the time "Scramble Cage II" rolls around. To witness the next chapter in The Prophecy/Saints feud get your tickets now!!!

    - Jimmy Rave has given a small explanation for his actions against his former mentor AJ Styles at The Second Anniversary Show. Rave believes that AJ was never trying to help him achieve success and become a better wrestler, but that Styles was really holding him back so he wouldn't get outshone by his protege'. Rave said that AJ better pay attention to him at The RexPlex because Rave has some surprises for him. Also, aswell as being on the main show on 3/13, Rave has signed on to be on the "Do or Die II" show.

    - Check out Locker Room Scoops next week for more matches to be signed for "Scramble Cage II" and "Do Or Die II" shows, including CM Punk's match.

    - Homicide apparently has a message to relay to Ring Of Honor and Julius Smokes will relay that message live from The RexPlex on 3/13.

    - Special K will apparently be bringing back members from the past that have fought The Carnage Crew. Who knows how many members will be at the RexPlex! Also, they still insist that they have a special surprise to be announced. We still do not know which four members of Special K will be in the Scramble Cage match, but do expect to find out in the upcoming weeks.

    - The rules for The Scramble Cage match between Special K & The Carnage Crew are much like that of a "Wargames" match. One man from each team will start in the cage and every two minutes thereafter a man from a team will enter (depending on who wins the coin toss). These are not the same rules used in the original Scramble Cage match, and have been changed to fit the chaos and violence expected in The RexPlex.

    - Apparently Prince Nana has flown Xavier to Ghana to focus on his big Four Corner Survival match at "Scramble Cage II". Xavier is looking to get back in the ROH Title hunt and establish The Embassy as a top faction in ROH. Xavier has also yet to have another ROH Title shot since losing to Samoa Joe. This is a big opportunity for all the men as Alex Shelley, who looked impressive at The Second Anniversary Show, could vault himself into the upper echelon in ROH with a win. Chris Sabin, who missed an opportunity at The Pure Wrestling Title due to injury is looking to get back on track and Mark Briscoe is looking to get some singles wins as he's currently one half of the tag team champions. Also, if anyone could manage to pin Mark Briscoe, they may earn themselves a future ROH Tag Team Title shot. Many different scenarios could occur in this huge Four Corner Survival Match!!!

  10. Part 2...

Dan Maff, who was recovering from that "Whitmer-Plex" of sorts to the stomach quickly took his opportunity, landing a Cannonball on Joe in the corner! Whitmer continued the train that was being run on Joe, hitting a flying dropkick to the face. Whitmer picks Joe up, with a grin plastered across his face, and holds him there in the corner, while relaying signals to Maff. Dan Maff ran in, looking to hit another high-impact move on his opponent. Samoa Joe had other ideas though, pushing Whitmer out of the way and bursting free, as Maff crashed into the corner. Joe then rushed in on "The Prophecy's Hired Assassin" hitting a stiff forearm to the jaw on him. Whitmer tried to help his group member but it only let to worse things for The Prophecy members. Whitmer tried for a clothesline on Joe, but he ducked and hooked BJ in a half nelson. Joe then delivered a Half Nelson Suplex on Whitmer, who incidentally crashed right into Maff in the corner. The crowd roared approval as Joe let out a war scream. Joe grabbed BJ by the arm and dragged him into the middle of the ring before attempting to pick him up. Whitmer, somehow got a burst of energy and hit an Exploder! Joe was rocked by that, he surely didn't expect that out of BJ Whitmer. Joe stumbles around on his knees for a few seconds before getting back to his feet and is met with a superkick from Whitmer, Joe spins around and is hooked by a recovered Dan Maff...Half Nelson Suplex! Joe is dumped right on his head!!! Maff screams out and picks Joe up off the mat. It looks like he's going to go for the Burning Hammer, but Whitmer tells him not too. He instead signals toward his elbow, and he takes his elbow pad off. Maff holds Joe in place, hooking his arms. Whitmer stands far back and gets ready for the possible knockout blow. BJ rushes in and spins halfway toward Joe, when Whitmer completes the spin he connects! -- But with the head of Dan Maff!!! Samoa Joe somehow moved out of the way, Maff is launched through the middle and top rope like a dart as Whitmer has a hissy fit once again. Joe is back up though and he's eagerly awaiting Whitmer. Once Whitmer turns halfway around Joe bounces off the ropes and murders Whitmer with a LARIAT! Whitmer folds in half, as the crowd goes banana's! Joe makes the cover, 1.......2.......3! Samoa Joe has retained The ROH World Championship, and will go into the RexPlex, as the defending ROH Champion. (23:58)

Winner: Still ROH World Champion, Samoa Joe!

Dan Maff dragged the body of BJ Whitmer out of the ring, as Allison Danger screamed on in obvious frustration. Joe hit his fist off his chest and saluted the crowd. Joe walked over the camera, kneeled down and said... “3/13...Steel Cage...Jay Briscoe...It Ends” before walking away.

ROH Pure Wrestling Title Tournament Finals:

“The Human Torture Device” Doug Williams Vs “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles

    Rules:

A Rope Break Is Only Used If You Are In A Submission Or Pinfall, Blocking/Countering A Maneuver by Grabbing The Ropes (E.G. If In Styles Clash or Chaos Theory) Will Not Constitute a Rope Break.

    - There Is a Twenty Count On The Floor

    - Closed Fists are Illegal, If You Use A Closed You Will Be Warned First. If You Do It Again You Will Lose A Rope Break. If You Are Finally Out Of Rope Breaks You Will Be Disqualified.

The sounds of Dale Oliver’s “I Am” hit The PA System in the National Guard Armory and the crowd rose to their feet for the third consecutive time for “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles. AJ was still nursing a bad knee from the attack by Jimmy Rave after his first round match and his show stealing match with Alex Shelley. AJ actually had the knee and thigh area bandaged up at this point. Doug Williams made his way out from the back next; this is Williams’s third shot at an ROH Title. If you remember he was in that classic Four-Way Iron Man match to crown the first ever ROH Champion, also Doug was the first person to lose to Samoa Joe when he became ROH Champion. This seemed like a pretty even match going in as Styles’ knee has been brutalized throughout the night and Williams was still suffering from a sore neck that had been put through the wringer earlier on in the night.

Both men cautiously walked towards the middle of the ring before referee Todd Sinclair gave them the rules. The two men shook hands to a nice ovation from the crowd and the match to crown the first ever Pure Wrestling Champion was on. Both men were still cautious, knowing their injuries could be exposed at any moment and by anyone single move. They eventually locked up and Doug gained the advantage by sliding into a waste lock. AJ struggled hard to get out of his grasp but Doug maintained the hold before picking AJ up and slamming him down on to his stomach. Doug switched around to the head, as it looked like he was going to focus on that area. He dropped a knee on the back of AJ’s neck and then went into a front face lock. AJ managed to get out of the hold by grabbing an arm of Doug and slamming it into the mat. AJ then grabbed a front headlock, but Doug powered back up onto his feet. Williams managed to grab AJ’s left wrist and get a hold of a wrist lock, which shortly there after he turned into a hammerlock. “The Human Torture Device” spun AJ around and snapped him over quickly with a snap mare takeover. Williams went back to work on the neck with a headlock, which he would eventually incorporate a knee in the neck with, pulling back viciously on Styles’ neck. AJ looked like he was going to bridge out of it but his knee buckles and he landed neck first right into Williams’ knee. Doug went for a cover, 1…. 2…. kick out by AJ Styles. AJ grabbed the back of his neck in pain as it looks like he may have two injuries now after that devastating and vicious knee to the neck. Williams picks AJ up as he’s got a look of Unbearable pain down his neck. Doug Irish whips AJ into the corner and follows it up with a big knee to the chest. He then Irish whips AJ into the opposite corner and hits another big knee, he then throws Styles to the mat and ascends to the top rope. Williams tapped on his knee, signalling for his “Bomb Scare” top rope knee drop. Unfortunately, AJ Styles managed to get back to his feet and crotch Williams on the top rope. AJ climbed up onto the second rope but Doug shoved him back down, causing him to land hard on his knee. AJ fell to one knee as Doug got back to a standing base on the top rope. Doug simply jumped down as AJ rushed in and he dove right through AJ’s legs. Once standing, Williams turned around but got caught with a huge super kick to the jaw, sending him to the mat. AJ fell back to one knee, trying to shake out the cobwebs. Not being able to make the cover, “The Phenomenal” one went back to the injured body part as he locked Doug in a seated abdominal stretch, but he was wrenching back at the neck at the same time. AJ wrenched away at the neck, pulling back with all his strength. Doug refused to tap though, as he manoeuvred AJ’s foot and managed to get to a knee. Williams got back to a bent over position and broke AJ’s clasp around his head, and followed it up with an overhead hip-toss. Doug quickly knocked AJ down with two quick clotheslines, and “The Human Torture Device” was pumped up. Doug once again went for a clothesline but AJ ducked it and connected with his incredible “Discus Lariat“, putting both men back on the mat again. Referee Todd Sinclair starts up the ten count, as both men look weary already. As the count reaches eight, Styles somehow drops a forearm over the chest of Williams, 1…2…. kickout by Doug Williams. Styles gets to his knees and wipes the sweat from his brows before grasping his neck and then the knee, which has been troubling him most of the night. AJ gets back to his feet and signals for another “Discus Lariat“. When Williams gets back up, Styles goes to it but Williams nails him square between the eyes with a forearm, AJ is dazed. Doug grabs the injured knee and slams it hard on his knee, then takes him over with a dragon screw. AJ is down and in pain. Williams slaps on a spinning toehold and continues to work over the knee of AJ Styles. The crowd seems to be evenly split in this one, cheering for both men wildly. Williams released the spinning toehold, but then started delivering knee drops to the outer part of AJ Styles’ knee. “The Human Torture Device” then proved his name with one move as he locked one of the sickest half-crabs in recent memory. As Styles was bent in half like an accordion, and all the pressure was on AJ’s neck (which was worked on earlier in the match) and the knee, as Doug was pulling back as much as he possibly could. Luckily AJ was moderately close to the ropes and was able to grab one, but it cost him his first rope break.

AJ Styles: 2 Rope Breaks Left

Doug Williams: 3 Rope Breaks Left

Williams broke the painful hold and AJ’s body was absolutely limp. He dragged AJ away from the ropes before hitting the ropes and dropping a big knee across the upper sternum. He went for a cover, 1…. 2…. kickout by the ever resilient AJ Styles. Williams wrapped his hand around the injured knee/leg area and his other around AJ’s chin, and then rolled back - floating into a surfboard, smartly working on both injured areas. Doug wrenched the hold in until AJ started to wiggle around and turn himself over into a pinning situation, 1…kickout by Doug Williams. Only a one on the feisty Brit. Both men got back to their feet as AJ knew he needed to capitalized and he did with a small package, 1…. 2…kickout again by Williams. AJ got up but got kicked right in the mush by a huge boot to the face. That certainly stopped any momentum AJ had going. Williams chose to pick AJ’s carcass up off the canvas but got caught with a forearm to the mid-section for it. AJ then turned around as Williams was bent over a bit and did a complete back flip that connected with a kick to the back Of Williams head. The crowd stood up in dis-belief, while Williams fell to one knee and was clutching the back of his neck. AJ rushed in and hit the ropes and came back with a snap neckbreaker (ala Paul London - Night Of The Grudges). Styles crawled on top, 1…. 2…. Williams grabs the ropes with his hand.

AJ Styles: 2 Rope Breaks Left

Doug Williams: 2 Rope Breaks Left

Williams looks up at Referee Todd Sinclair and when he realized he used the rope break he slammed his fist in anger or stupidity. We’re back at square one now. Styles, knowing he has to gain a quick advantage, grabs the head of Doug Williams and presses him up against the ropes before unleashing some nicely done chops to the chest of his opponent. AJ grabs the left arm of Williams and Irish Whips him into the ropes. AJ puts his head down to soon though as it looked as if he was attempting a back body drop, Doug easily telegraphs it with a kick to the face that connects flush. Doug then sweeps the legs from underneath AJ, connecting with the back of the injured knee and making him land hard on his neck area. Williams quickly hops over with an Oklahoma roll! 1.....2.....kickout by AJ Styles. AJ rolls onto all fours but is quickly mounted by Williams who starts to drop knees on the neck/back of the head. Williams backs off as AJ is getting back to a standing base, but still hunched over. Doug runs in and looks for a kick to the temple but AJ steps back and goes for a backslide attempt. AJ tries feverously to get Williams over, and Williams obliges, but AJ used so much power that Doug landed square on his feet. Styles goes for a jumping enziguri attempt but Williams ducks. AJ lands hard on his injured knee. “The Human Torture Device” quickly grabs a waistlock and rushes into the corner, Williams looks like he’s going for the “Chaos Theory”. Doug Williams goes to pull back for the roll but AJ grabs tightly onto the top rope with both hands. Williams tries to pull, but AJ won’t budge, and he takes the advantage with an elbow shot to the head, Williams staggers back a tinch, turning away. When he comes back, AJ springs back into action, jumping off the second rope and catching Williams with an inverted DDT. AJ clutches his knee in pain, that move really took its tole and may have not been the best idea. It paid off though as Williams used his second rope break by grabbing the ropes on a pin attempt.

AJ Styles: 2 Rope Breaks Left

Doug Williams: 1 Rope Break Left

Styles picks Williams up and starts nailing him in the face with knee shots, AJ backs up after about seven shots and goes for the big finally. Styles runs in but the former FWA Champion quickly moves out of the way, he grabs Styles by the waist but Styles won't go over after an attempted German Suplex. Doug then locks in a full nelson and hits a nicely executed Dragon Suplex, holding the bridge. 1....2.....kickout by AJ Styles. Unfortunately Williams rolled back, holding the full nelson into a seated version of the camel-clutch, only with a full-nelson variation. AJ screamed in pain, but refused to give up as referee Todd Sinclair looked at the pain on his face. Williams, who looked tired and possibly dehydrated by the point, wrenched back, intensifying the pain the hold creates. AJ struggles to move, but he finds the strength to inch his way closer and closer to the ropes. Williams tries to contain AJ in one spot but his energy has been sapped from him and AJ Styles finally makes the ropes, to a appreciative ovation from the crowd. AJ, who's grabbing his neck in obvious pain, seemed to be partially relieved that he got out of the hold, although it will cost a rope break.

AJ Styles: 1 Rope Break Left

Doug Williams: 1 Rope Break Left

Williams dragged AJ into the middle of the ring before making a pinfall attempt, hopefully thinking Styles has used the last of his energy on making the ropes. 1....2....kickout from AJ Styles. Williams looks up at Sinclair almost seemingly saying what to I need to do. Doug grabs AJ by the hair and brings him back up to his feet. Williams lays into AJ with a stiff European Uppercut, dropping him to his back once again. Doug repeated the same sequence over again, as AJ lay on the canvas one more time. Williams picks AJ up one more time and hits another uppercut, just underneath the chin. But AJ just staggers back a bit. Before LAYING into Doug with an uppercut causing him to stagger back into the ropes. AJ leaps in the air, catching Doug square in the face with the best dropkick in the business! Styles landed hard on his knee though, un-abling him to make the cover for a few seconds. When he finally drapes an arm across Williams, referee Todd Sinclair just makes a two count. AJ looks towards the crowd as they cheer on, and he limps over to the turnbuckle. AJ slowly (and basically on one leg) climbs the turnbuckle and sits on the top. As Williams begins to regain his bearings, he wobbles over into the turnbuckle where Styles is, AJ jumps off (once again on one leg) and looks for a hurricanranna, but Williams blocks it and catches him. AJ tries to take him over but Williams powers him up and slams him down with a powerbomb. Williams then slaps on his knee and points to the sky, telling the crowd he's going to ascend the turnbuckles. Williams goes to he apron and climbs the ropes. Stopping at second and grabbing his neck, trying to possibly massage some feeling into it. Williams finally gets to the top rope and as he tries to position himself correctly, Styles crotches him on the ropes. Williams falls forward and right into the arms of AJ and into a Styles Clash! Doug tries to grab the ropes but is just a tinch to far, and AJ hooks Williams' arms behind his leg....Styles Clash! AJ rolls him onto his back, 1.....2....Williams grabs the ropes! That's his last rope break!

AJ Styles: 1 Rope Break Left

Doug Williams: No Rope Breaks Left

Styles rolls quickly rolls Williams onto his stomach and locks in a Muta-Lock! This is what defeated Alex Shelley in the second round. Williams quickly scratches and claws his way into the ropes but it means nothing! Todd Sinclair tells "The Human Torture Device" that he has to fight out of it. Doug tries to go for the eyes of Styles but AJ wrenches at the injured neck of Williams each time he attempts it. The crowd is on their feet and Williams has nowhere to go. Williams finally succumbs to the pain and taps out. The crowd roars and AJ Styles has become the first ever ROH Pure Wrestling Champion! (32:21)

Winner: First Ever ROH Pure Wrestling Champion, AJ Styles!

The crowd in the National Guard Armory stand up and applauded both men's efforts as AJ sits slumped in the corner with his brand new title belt. Williams is still down as Todd Sinclair calls to the back for some water bottles. The locker room starts to empty out as nearly the entire locker room comes out to congratulate AJ, although notably absent is Jimmy Rave. The Briscoes quickly congratulated both Williams and AJ (both of whom were now on their feet) and got the hell out of there before Samoa Joe was anywhere in sight. The ROH World Champion came out soon afterwards and came face to face with AJ, staring the Pure Wrestling Champion down. Before stretching his hand out, the crowd cheered on by the effort of sportsmanship. Joe has shown his obvious disgust for the creation of The Pure Title, but it seems like he's going to let AJ have his night. Styles thanked the crowd for their support and stated that he'd be a fighting champion. AJ said that he’d be looking for Jimmy Rave, and anytime he wants piece he is here waiting.

Next we have a segment for Samoa Joe's Ring. Joe is standing in the ring with what looks to be three of the trainees from the ROH Wrestling School. Joe says that he's faced with maybe his toughest test ever as he faces off against Dan Maff and BJ Whitmer. Joe then states that nobody in The Prophecy will ever become the ROH Champ as long as he's around and that they disgust him by their cheap tactics. The champ tells them not to underestimate him, because although he has been pre-occupied with Jay Briscoe recently, he hasn’t forgotten about all the trouble he’s had with The Prophecy in the past. Joe finishes his promo by saying that not only is he Pro Wrestling but also after this match he will still be YOUR ROH World Champion.

    1) ROH Pure Wrestling Title Tournament: Quarterfinals

Matt Stryker (Field Of Honor Champion) Vs "The Human Torture Device" Doug Williams

Making his long-awaited return to Ring Of Honor, England's own "The Human Torture Device" Doug Williams made his way down to ringside to a standing ovation and a welcome back chant. Williams looked to be taken’ a back by the fans as he murmured thank you to them once he entered the ring. The FOH Champ, Matt Stryker entered too less than a spectacular ovation. The crowd was about 60/40 against Stryker. The master of the Stryker Lock seemed to not notice (or completely ignore) the boos from the crowd as he entered the ring. This is Williams' first ROH match since mid 2003 and he was looking to make an impact in this one. The two men shook hands before the match started, respecting the Code Of Honor and the bell rings.

Both men meet in the middle of the ring and go into a basic collar and elbow tie-up, Williams quickly turned it into a side headlock before snatching a hammerlock on Stryker. The Field Of Honor Champion used his smarts though, grabbing onto the head of Williams and taking him over with a snap mare to gain the advantage. Stryker grabbed a rear chinlock and grounded the bigger Williams and then added more pressure to the neck area by digging the knee right in there while pulling back on his chin. Stryker then stood up and hit vicious knees to the back of the neck of Doug Williams, Stryker then resorted to chops to the back of the neck. This just seemed to fire Williams up a bit and he got back to his feet and blocked three right hands and fired back with three of his own. Williams then Irish whipped Stryker into the ropes but Matt managed to duck the clothesline and nail Williams with a hangman's neckbreaker, Stryker rolls onto Williams but only gets a two count. Stryker pulls Williams up into a seated position and then locked in a cravat. Williams fights back up onto his feet before hitting some forearms to the ribs of Stryker, he eventually breaks the hold and Williams comes back with a big back suplex, then following up with two straight clotheslines before grapevining the leg of Matt Stryker. "The Brow" tried to hit Williams but he kept getting kicked back down. Stryker was momentarily un-focused and allowed Williams to get a two count on him as his shoulders were on the mat. Williams loosened up for a few seconds and it allowed Stryker to Maneuver towards the ropes and get a rope break. Williams relinquished the hold but went right back to working on the knee area of Matt Stryker, stomping the knee over and over and then slamming it into the mat viciously. Williams picked Stryker up and hit a knee breaker before Irish Whipping him chest first into the turnbuckle. The Velocity was enough to send Stryker crashing to the mat, Williams once again used good ring presence and tied Stryker's leg in the bottom and middle ropes, stretching it in the process. If that wasn't bad enough Williams added insult to injury by stomping it non-stop until the referee pushed him away and broke the hold. Stryker clutched his knee and rolled onto the apron but Williams went right for him again but Stryker grabbed the head of Doug Williams and dropped him throat first on the ropes. Williams went down hard to the mat, smacking his head in the process. Stryker then dropped to the floor and pulled Williams out. Stryker was about to Irish whip him into the guardrail but Williams reversed it into a big belly-to-belly suplex on the floor! "The Human Torture Device" sets up Stryker against the guardrail as he steps back and the charges in, Stryker manages to drop toehold Williams head first into the G-Rail though! Williams clutches the injured head again as Stryker hobbles on his bad leg and rolls him back into the ring. Stryker goes for a pin, 1....2....kickout by Doug Williams.

Stryker picks Williams back up and rams his head into the turnbuckle. Stryker then places him onto the top turnbuckle and ascends the turnbuckles. The Field Of Honor Champion looks to be going for a superplex but his injured leg buckles and he falls to the mat. A dazed Williams manages to stand on the top turnbuckle and hit a flying knee drop to the knee of Matt Stryker. Stryker rives around in pain and Williams collects his wits before sliding over and hooking a leg for just a two count. Williams grabs Matt's leg and sets Stryker up in an Indian deathlock and slams down to the mat, adding more pain to the already injured knee. Williams goes for a muta lock but Stryker uses a unique move and headbutts Doug in the head causing him to break the hold. Both men get back to there feet and Stryker gains the advantage, nailing Williams with stiff European uppercuts, but "The Human Torture Device" fights back with some of his own. Williams sidesteps an uppercut and drops Stryker's knee on his knee once again and then hits the ropes but the former FWA champion gets caught with the prettiest power slam in the business, 1....2....kickout by Williams. A dazed Williams quickly gets back up though as Stryker awaits for him to turn around and once the time comes Williams is floored with a big boot to the head. Stryker is really working the head area of Doug Williams. Matt Stryker calls for the 'Stryker Lock' much to the crowds dismay but Stryker can't apply the move because of the pain on his own knees. Stryker picks up Williams and attempts for a 'Death Valley Driver' which would defiantly put him away considering the damage that's been done to his head. Stryker lifts him up but his leg buckles once again and Williams fall on top of him. 1.....2.....3! The Field Of Honor Champion has been eliminated. "The Human Torture Device" Doug Williams had picked up a huge win in his return to Ring Of Honor. (11:06)

Winner: "The Human Torture Device" Doug Williams (Advances To Semi-Finals)

A visibly angry Matt Stryker gets back to his feet and hobbles over to Doug Williams where the two men share in a handshake of respect. Williams poses to the crowd some more as Stryker slowly makes his way to the back.

    2) ROH Pure Wrestling Title Tournament: Quarterfinals

Chad Collyer Vs "Hurricane" John Walters

The technically inclined, Chad Collyer entered first to a nice cheer from the crowd. This would actually be a re-match from “The Last Stand” which Walters defeated Collyer in a good match to gain a spot in this tournament, Walters was originally supposed to face off against Chris Sabin but he went down to injury. Therefore a replacement was needed, so ROH Management gave Collyer another shot after his solid performance at TLS. The sound of "Alice In Chains" hit the PA System and "Hurricane" John Walters got a huge ovation from his hometown crowd. Walters is coming off two huge victories over Collyer (Mentioned Earlier) and his feud winning "Fight Without Honor" match with Xavier at FB2003.

The two shook hands before the bell rang and Collyer went right to work nailing Walters in the back with an axe handle as he turned around. Walters went down to his knees quickly and Collyer jumps all over him grabbing the right leg of John Walters and pulling it outside along with him. Collyer pulled him crotch first into the ring post before slamming the leg repeatedly. Apparently Collyer wasn't too happy about the decision of their last match and he's not going to mess about with this opportunity. Collyer taunts to the crowd a little bit before smashing "Hurricane" John Walters' knee into the post one more time. Ref Hanson yells at Collyer to get the action back inside but Collyer ignores him and locks on a figure-four leglock (w/post) on Walters. "The Hurricane" screams in pain as Hanson tries to get Collyer off of him. Finally he releases the hold as Walters rolls to the middle of the ring in agony. Collyer taunts the crowd more before rolling back into the ring and stalking Walters into the far corner. Walters manages, with help of the ropes to get to his feet as Collyer comes over Walters enziguri's him right in his cauliflower ear sending him to the mat. Walters tries shaking off the pain in his leg but to no avail. Meanwhile Collyer is still momentarily stunned as Ref Hanson reaches a count of 5 where he finally pulls himself up and walks over to Walters. "The Hurricane" had some different ideas though as he met the on-coming Collyer's sternum with some stiff right hands. Collyer takes five punches before hitting an elbow to the top of the head, sending Walters back on his back. Collyer picks Walters back up and hits him with a forearm to the jaw followed by two more. Collyer then hits a forearm that sends Walters into the ropes and he comes back with a huge forearm that sends Collyer to one knee. Walters picks Collyer back up and nails him with chops and slaps as he's going on a rampage. Chad hits a basement dropkick to the knee and stops Walters though. Collyer rubs his chest, which by this point is turning a shade of red. He then kicks Walters in the back hard before putting him in a chinlock. Collyer, The Technical Wizard that he is quickly switched to a modified surfboard stretch, grabbing the arms of Walters while digging the knee into the back. Walters manages to bridge up though and get back to a standing position, Collyer jumps on Walters back though and locks on a sleeper, Walters knee gives out and he falls to one knee. As Collyer continues to put Walters’s lights out with this sleeper he also kicks the side of his knee, continuing the onslaught on the limb. Walters looked to be in trouble as he wasn't fighting nearly as much as usual. The referee checked his arm, it went down twice but to Collyer's chagrin is stayed up the third time and Walters fought back. Walters got back to his feet (with Collyer still on his back with the sleeper tightly locked on) and ran Collyer back first into turnbuckle, Walters rammed him a second time but he wouldn't release the hold. Walters then backed out of the corner and hit a desperation Piggyback Stunner! Both men were laid out on the mat as Ref Hanson counted.

"Lets Go Walters" chants filled The Armory, as both men struggled to get back to a vertical base. Collyer got back up at seven and Walters followed him and went mad like a house of fire! Walters knocked Collyer down with two quick clotheslines and some deep arm drags (© Ricky Steamboat). "The Hurricane" then bounces off the ropes only to get nailed with a roaring forearm by Chad Collyer. Collyer grabbed him and went for a German Suplex but Walters came down behind him and turned it into a Lung Blower! Walters clutches his knee on the mat as Collyer rolls to the apron in pain. John definitely just harmed the welfare of that knee to try and get the win but Collyer smartly rolled to the apron. Walters comes and gets met with a shoulder to the mid-section, Collyer jumps over the ropes and rolls Walters up, 1....2.....kickout by Walters. Collyer quickly picks up Walters and hits a sick looking brainbuster, 1.....2....kickout by Walters. Collyer then goes over to the corner but Walters runs over with a burst of energy and does a flipping sunset powerbomb, 1.....2....kickout by Collyer. Walters grabs Collyer and goes for his trademark 'Hurricane DDT' but he drops out the back and chop blocks Walters. He then picks up "The Hurricane" and hits a nice Butterfly Powerbomb and then proceeds to put Walters in 'The Texas Cloverleaf' (Which Collyer Uses For A Finish). Walters screamed and was biting his own hand because the pain was so severe. Collyer kept yelling "Tap" as Walters scrounged and tried to drag himself to the ropes. Finally Walters grabbed the ropes. Chad was forced to release the hold. Collyer picked up Walters and said "That's It" to the crowd, he went for the Butterfly Powerbomb again but Walters countered it in mid-air with a Kidman like facebuster. Walters then quickly grabbed Collyer and nailed a sick looking 'Hurricane DDT' (Right On The Top Of His Head!) for the academic three count, this was much to the delight of the crowd but to the dismay of Collyer who is now 0-2 lifetime against Walters. *VHS/DVD Extra*

Backstage, The Prophecy of Dan Maff, BJ Whitmer and Allison Danger stood waiting for there promo to be shot. Whitmer and Maff are arguing about who's going to win the world title from Samoa Joe tonight, Whitmer says that all Maff has to do is soften Joe up for him and then he can claim the one, two, three. Obviously Maff isn't to happen towards this and almost lunges as Whitmer but Danger steps in the way and grabs Maff by the head. She tells him to get focused, because tonight The Prophecy reclaims there spot at the top of ROH. They then start to film the promo and they start by talking about how they managed to succeed in all three of their goals at 1/29 show entitled 'The Last Stand'. They took Colt Cabana out, They won the number one contenders trophy and they took Samoa Joe out. While Allison is talking about this Whitmer & Maff are verbally mouthing insults at one another. Whitmer then focuses towards the Camera where he says Samoa Joe's reign as ROH Champion will end tonight, just short of that one-year goal. He says he remembers when he was inches away from becoming the ROH Champion, and he liked the way that felt. But this time he's not going to come up short. Maff then took the reigns by saying he was oh so close at Wrestle Rave but this time Joe will fall to the Burning Hammer~! Danger then closed out the promo by sending a prayer out to Christopher Daniels. YOU KNOW IT! The camera 'cut' off and Whitmer said he needed to go get ready for his big title win, before leaving. A fuming Maff looked at Danger who just kind of shrugged and smiled.

    3) ROH Pure Wrestling Title Tournament: Quarterfinals

"The Next" Alex Shelley Vs Jerry Lynn

The tunes of BRMC hit and "The Next" Alex Shelley made his way down to a nice ovation from the crowd. Shelley qualified for this tournament via beating Jimmy Jacobs at The Last Stand. Megadeath then came over the PA System and Jerry Lynn made his way down to a big "Jerry Chant". This was a battle of The Veteran in Lynn versus The less experienced Shelley.

Paul Turner signalled for a handshake and both men obliged. The bell rung and this contest was underway. Lynn and Shelley locked up, Alex quickly went into a wristlock. Lynn rolled through and then kipped up and reversed into a wristlock of his own. Shelley countered by doing the exact same thing as Lynn and re-gaining the advantage via a wristlock. Shelley then rolled back and pressed Lynn up and over with his feet. Shelley continues to work away at the wrist of Lynn as he tries to find away to escape the hold. Jerry gets back to his knees and punches Shelley in the ribs with the hand that is free. "The Next" stops the grizzled veteran from getting free as he hits some bionic elbows to the back of the shoulder. Lynn falls back down to one knee and Shelley lays in the elbow shots over and over to the back of Lynn's shoulder. Alex grabs the wrist with both hands and snaps down quickly, sending Lynn to the mat. Shelley picks him back up and then divorce courts' the arm, then rolling him over into a Pinfall attempt that garners a two count. Shelley stands up with a smile on his face, but that doesn't last long as Lynn fires shots to the sternum of "The Next", Shelley stops that with a knee to the jaw that sends Lynn slumping down to the mat. Alex then grabs the former ECW World Champion and sets him up for a suplex, Lynn manages to come down reverse it into an inside cradle. 1....2.....kickout by Shelley, both men are back to their feet quickly but Lynn gets sent back down after Shelley hits a jumping calf kick to the head. Alex goes to his knees and looks at the crowd before wiping the sweat from his brow. Shelley picks up Lynn and chops him across the chest, the Woooo chants fill the arena as Lynn gets plastered with two straight forearms to the jaw. Alex runs towards the ropes only to get caught with a flying back elbow by Jerry Lynn. Both men are down as Referee Paul Turner counts. The count reaches seven as Shelley struggles to pulls himself up, even with help from the ring ropes. It seems like the shot the jaw really knocked him loopy. Lynn however, rolls onto the apron and got back to his feet although he's doubled over. Shelly goes over to where Lynn is hunched over on the ropes and goes for a shoulder to the mid-section but Lynn moves to the side and Shelley lands stomach first on the middle rope. Jerry then drops a big leg drop onto the back of Shelley's neck, sending him to the outside. Lynn jumps back in the ring and waits for Shelley to get back to a vertical base. When he does Lynn springboard's out but he gets caught and "The Next" rams Lynn shoulder first into the ring post. When Lynn drops to the floor he lands on his shoulder as well, only adding insult to injury. Shelley quickly rolls Lynn back in the ring and makes a pinfall attempt. 1....2....kickout by Jerry Lynn. He picks up Lynn and whips him into the corner, Shelley rushes in but gets hit with a shoulder to the face. Lynn cringes in pain, knowing he just sacrificed his own health to try and win this match. Lynn rushes in and goes for a swinging DDT but Shelley throws him across the ring. Lynn luckily lands on his feet but when he turns around he gets caught with a huge superkick from Alex Shelley. Lynn drops to the mat like a sack of potatoes. Shelley jumps on top and hooks the leg, 1....2....kickout by Jerry Lynn. Shelley is starting to look frustrated, he picks up Lynn and nails a beautiful Saito suplex, and Lynn lands rights on his shoulder. "The Next" goes for another pin, 1....2....Lynn gets his good shoulder up. Alex ascends the ropes and calls for a possible finish. As Jerry gets back to his feet, Shelley jumps off for a cross-body but he gets caught with a big dropkick to the mid-section!

Shelley rives around in pain as Lynn gets back to his feet. Shelley gets back to vertical base but he gets kicked in the gut, here it comes! 'Cradle Piledriver'! That's vintage Jerry Lynn. He makes the cover, 1....2....Shelley gets a foot on the ropes. Lynn grabs "The Next" and pulls him into the middle of the ring. Jerry quickly goes for another 'Cradle Piledriver' but Shelley back body drops him. Lynn gets back to his feet and goes for a clothesline but he gets caught and spiked on his head, ‘Shellshock’! Shelley goes for the pin, 1....2....Lynn gets the shoulder up. Shelley grabs the arm and turns it into the ‘Border City Stretch’! The Former ECW Champion is scratching and clawing to get to the ropes as Shelley yells TAP! Lynn is just inches away from the ropes but Shelley pulls back and Lynn has no other choice but to tap. (8:21)

Winner: "The Next" Alex Shelley (Advances To Semi-Finals)

As the crowd cheers for the effort of both men, Shelley goes over and lends a hand to Lynn. Jerry graciously accepts and is helped to his feet. Lynn clutches his shoulder and Shelley is grabbing his neck but the two find away to shake hands and then embrace in a hug. Lynn ends it by raising Shelley's hand as the Boston area crowd applauds.

    4) ROH Pure Wrestling Title Tournament: Quarterfinals

"The Phenomenal" AJ Styles Vs Jimmy Rave

Jimmy Rave came out first to a mild and mixed response. It seems like these people don’t care much for Rave. Suddenly “I Am” by Dale Oliver hit the fans stood up and went absolutely insane as ““The Phenomenal” AJ Styles made his way down the isle, slapping hands as he makes his way towards the ring. AJ is decked out in his traditional Purple and White garb while Rave is in his long baggy black pants.

The two men shake hands and then hug as this Mentor Vs Student match began. Rave and AJ lock up and The Former NWA World Champion quickly takes the youngster down with an arm drag. Rave looks on and shakes his arm and Styles grins. The two quickly lock up again but Rave grabs a sidehead lock. AJ pushes him off into the ropes and takes him down with another arm drag. It's looking like AJ taught him everything Jimmy knows but not everything AJ Styles knows. They lock up once more and it looks like Jimmy would fall to the same fate once again as he was Irish whipped into the ropes, but when AJ went for the arm drag Rave put on the breaks. Jimmy pulled back, AJ went down to his hands and knees and Rave jumped on top for an Oklahoma roll, 1.....2.....2 3/4 and AJ kicks out. That was an inch away from being a huge upset. AJ gets back to his knees where Rave goes for his shining Wizard but AJ falls flat on his back and avoids it by rolling out of the ring. AJ looks stunned while Rave looks to be brimming with confidence. Styles gets his wits back before jumping back onto the apron, Rave goes right after him but he gets caught by a big jumping kick to the head. Jimmy staggers backwards and AJ springboards in and catches him with a big flying forearm. Rave crawls into the opposite corner where AJ follows him and catches Rave's ribs with some stiff kicks. Rave eventually counters AJ's kick attempts with blocks but he then gets hit with a koppo/spinning heel kick variation in the corner. Rave slumps down into a near motionless state until AJ picks him back up into a standing position in the corner. AJ then continues to work on the ribs, digging the shoulder in deep with stiff shoulder blocks. Styles then takes it to the outside and grabs Jimmy, he pulls him like he's going to crotch him on the turnbuckle but he pulls him sideways and grabs his head and right leg. Rave's body is bending at a disgusting angle and the steel ring post is tearing up his ribs. Ref Gary Moyer tells AJ to bring it back in the ring but AJ doesn't comply and he pulls Jimmy to the apron and then jumps onto it himself. He then lays into Rave with several stiff European uppercuts, Jimmy doesn't fall to the floor luckily because the top rope is holding him up. Jimmy somehow fights back and nails AJ with several forearms to the face sending him to the floor. Luckily for AJ he landed on his feet, but then Jimmy Rave's knee connected flush with Styles' head after a 'Shining Wizard' off of the ring apron. Jimmy Rave then picks The Former NWA World Champ up and attempts to whip him into the ring barrier, AJ pulls out a trademark move of his and actually jump over the barricade. Rave quickly rushes forward, only to be met by the boot of Styles. The fans chant 'AJ' as "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles rolls Jimmy back into the ring. AJ then springboards in and rolls Rave up, 1....2....kickout by Jimmy Rave.

Styles peels Jimmy off of the canvas and hooks and hits a northern lights suplex, AJ then bridges over and stands up and hits a body slam onto Rave. AJ goes to the top and it might be time for a rarely use moves nowadays, AJ's 'Spiral Tap'. AJ sets up and comes off with a flying knee-drop instead though, Rave somehow rolls out of the way leading AJ to crash knee first right into the canvas. Styles grabs his knee in obvious pain and Jimmy uses AJ's advice and goes right for his possibly injured knee. Rave Stomps away at the back of it and lays into it by dropping elbows into the inside of it. Jimmy picks up his opponent and throws him hard chest first into the turnbuckle, he follows it up but viciously kicking the leg out from underneath AJ, causing him to almost backflip, and even worse AJ landed on his head. Rave realised he was getting on a role and as Styles got back to a standing position he dropkicked AJ in the knee, causing him to completely flip this time. AJ was then on the receiving end of some stiff kicks to the back before getting his knee picks apart one more time with several knee breakers. Rave signalled for one more vicious kick to the back of the leg but when he connected, AJ did a complete backflip and ended up kicking Rave right on top of the head. The crowd went wild as Ref Gary Moyer made the count. It reached nine before Jimmy Rave could get back to his feet he rushed over and dropkicked the knee of AJ, who was still on the mat. Jimmy then pulled AJ into the middle of the ring and 'Woo'd' to the crowd before locking on the figure-four leglock, a move that Styles likes to use on occasion. The crowd was firmly behind AJ at this point, but Rave was a man on a mission. He continued to punch and slap at the knee as the hold was being clinched. Suddenly AJ seemed to get a fire lighted as he yelled out 'Come On Jimmy You Fucking Pussy', AJ sat up and went for a forearm shot but Jimmy beat him there and knocked him back down to the mat, earning himself a two count. AJ would not give up though as he tried reversing the momentum of the move by turning him over...after a few seconds of a true battle he managed to do just what he set out to do. Rave screamed in pain but he quickly got to the ropes and the hold was broken. Both men stayed down for a few seconds in order to recuperate but when they got back up Jimmy ran at AJ and hit his head scissors into a crossface, otherwise known as 'Dusk Till Dawn'. Jimmy made a smart decision and quickly rolled over onto the leg and grapevines the leg of AJ. Unfortunately he was able to reach the ropes, a costly error. Jimmy then went across the ring and went for one more high impact move. Rave went for the shining wizard but AJ rolled through into a Boston crab. Jimmy fought through and got turned over onto his back and he grabbed the ropes. AJ, still with a grasp on the legs pulled Jimmy up into a 'Styles Clash'! Jimmy tried not to get his arms hooked but his attempt failed and he fell victim to the move that's put many away. A three count later and AJ Styles was moving on to meet Alex Shelley. (14:41)

Winner: "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles (Advances To Semi-Finals)

AJ waited for Jimmy to get up, both men got a nice round of applause from the crowd as an 'AJ' chant was going at the same time. Rave holding his head came over to a limping AJ and then shook hands before hugging. Styles raised Rave's hand before patting him on the back. Jimmy was about to walk away when he hit AJ with a chop block! What is this! Rave continues to stomp on the knee of AJ, he then locks in a figure-four leglock. Jimmy Rave sneak attacked AJ Styles and broke the code of honor, why has he done this. The ring beings to fill with referees and they finally pull Rave off of AJ. How much could this hamper AJ in his quest to the title?

It's intermission time with GMC! Cappetta says he has some big news but first he'd like to introduce us to his special guest. In comes Julius "The Devils Son-In-Law" Smokes. Julius does his usual non-describable talking and noise making with his "blahs" and other such things. GMC asks him what's going on with Homicide. Julius says he's really not sure, he's been leaving messages on his answer machine for the past week and a half and he has got no response. Cappetta then says he might have something of interest to Smokes. He said that ROH Officials were looking into giving Homicide the title shot he's owed (after beating Samoa Joe in a non-title match at Empire State Showdown) in the near future. Smokes gets a big smile on his face and says he's going to call Homicide right now before leaving. Cappetta then says he has one more huge scoop before leaving. He tells the camera to follow him to The Prophecy's locker room. He knocks before entering, but as soon as he does Allison Danger lets out a big yell of "What The Hell Are You Doing Here?!" GMC says he has a scoop concerning both Maff & Whitmer. He says on 3/13 In Elizabeth, The Prophecy of BJ Whitmer and Dan Maff will meet The Second City Saints of Ace Steel & "Classic" Colt Cabana. There looks to be mixed reaction within the group over the announcement before Cappetta sends us back for the second half of the show.

    5) Old Fashioned Country Whipping Match:

The Carnage Crew (Loc, DeVito & Masada) Vs Special K (Hydro, Dixie & AngelDust) w/ Cloudy, Hijinx, Lit, Mellow & Becky Bayless

The National Guard Armory suddenly went completely black. Then the techno tunes of Special K hit and the flashing lights went off all around the entrance. As the beat of "Victims Of Hardstyle" by DJ Legacy (Zenith & Dana) hit the entire pack of ravers danced their way down the isle with glow sticks and straps in hand. The techno music was suddenly cut off for the hard rock music of Soilent Green and The Carnage Crew, consisting of Loc, DeVito and the returning Masada ran down the isle with their straps.

Loc and DeVito managed to get in the ring as the bell rang, but they were faced with a three on two situation as Masada had been jumped but some of the other K kids on the outside. Hydro, Dixie and AngelDust all rushed forward and ducked clothesline attempts. On the rebound however, Hydro got a strap right in the face thanks to DeVito. Meanwhile Dixie got back body dropped high into the air via Loc. AngelDust however slid onto the apron and hit a beautiful Asai moonsault onto Masada who had fought off the others. Unfortunately Masada caught AngelDust on his shoulder. Masada dropped him throat first onto the metal guardrail on the outside and when he turned around, Masada speared the hell out of AngelDust (into the guardrail). At this point, Loc was choking the life out of Dixie with his strap and DeVito was pummelling the hell out of Hydro with fists. The ravers regained the advantage however when Cloudy, Mellow, Hijinx & Lit leaped in the ring and grabbed the four straps that were on the ground. Then started whipping the crew like a mule. Masada quickly grabbed a chair and entered the ring and crowned Cloudy with it, instantly busting him open. Masada was quickly over-taken by the other three not officially involved in the match as they whipped him with the leather straps. Hydro, AngelDust & Dixie were still ganging up on Loc & DeVito. They pounded DeVito up against the ropes before Hydro & AngelDust bolted towards the largest member of The Carnage Crew. Unfortunately for them, DeVito ducked and sent them packing, up and over the ropes. Dixie rushed in but was met by a boot to the stomach and then a Carnage-Plex from Loc & DeVito. With Masada trying to fight off Mellow, Hijinx & Lit. The other crew members grabbed the three straps that were on the canvas and started whipping the K’ers to death. Loc gave Masada a strap and he wrapped it around the throat of Mellow before using the strap to send him over the top rope. Hijinx tried to run but Loc grabbed him and threw him into a DeVito lariat. Lit, the brain-dead idiot that he is decided to go to the top rope but Masada cut him off. Masada looked around before hurling him to the floor and onto AngelDust, Cloudy and Mellow. Back in the ring Hydro and Dixie made their presence felt again. Hydro ran up behind Masada and delivered a devastating dragon suplex, causing him to land right on his head. Meanwhile Dixie dropkicked DeVito out of the ring before hitting Loc with a back suplex. AngelDust made his way back into the ring where Dixie and himself grabbed Masada and placed him on Hydro’s shoulders. They looked to be going for a double spike piledriver, a variation of The Carnage Crew’s finisher. But Loc & DeVito made their way over and pushed Dixie & AngelDust over the top and to the floor. Masada turned the possible piledriver into a hurricanranna, sending Hydro to the mat. Masada then nailed a springboard plancha onto almost all of Special K. Loc hit Hydro with his patented knee to the face/swinging neckbreaker combo, Loc then told DeVito to go up as he dragged Hydro into place. The big man looked to be going for his beautiful moonsault off the top but he seen Becky deliver a low-blow to Masada in the isle way. DeVito hopped onto the apron and chased Becky and Dixie to the back. Loc yelled at DeVito to come back but was soon caught off-guard by an AngelDust 'Springboard Blockbuster'. Masada was down on the outside as Lit, Hijinx, and Cloudy were putting the beat down on him with the straps. Inside the ring Hydro yelled at Mellow to grab something. Meanwhile AngelDust was kicking Loc in the ribs and head non-stop. Mellow grabbed a table from underneath the ring and he slid it in the ring, along with himself. Hydro and Mellow set up the table as AngelDust brought Loc over towards the corner. Hydro ascended the turnbuckles and Mellow & AngelDust suplex Loc into Hydro’s arms. They then got on the second ropes and 'Double Spike Piledrove' Loc through the table. DAAAAAANNGGEEEEERRRRROOOOOUUSSS! AngelDust made the academic pin, as The K’ers steal another one. This might have been the last straw for The Carnage Crew. (7:51)

Winners: Special K (Hydro, Dixie & AngelDust)

Masada who was clutching his ribs, managed to roll back in the ring and uncover Loc from the rubble. DeVito came back out and looked furious, The Carnage Crew can’t believe Special K stole another one. This may have been the last straw for The Carnage Crew.

    6) ROH Pure Wrestling Title Tournament: Semi-Finals

"The Human Torture Device" Doug Williams Vs "Hurricane" John Walters

Britain's biggest superstar made his way down for the second time tonight. Still favouring his head and neck, Doug Williams rolled under the ropes and walked over to the opposite corner, waving to fans. Alice In Chains "It Ain't Like That" hit and the hometown boy, "Hurricane" John Walters limped his way down to the ring, still favouring his knee. The crowd was firmly behind Walters once again and Williams knew he'd have to block out the crowd to win this one.

Ref Hanson rings the bell and the match is underway, the two men shake hands before circling each other and then locking up. Williams quickly grabs a side headlock on "The Hurricane". Walters tried to squeeze out of it but the bigger man in Williams wouldn't let go. Doug then made a standing switch into a hammerlock, then quickly dropping down and taking the legs out from underneath "Hurricane" John Walters. Williams then jumped back onto the head with a grounded side headlock. Doug grinded away at the head of Walters before picking him up and Irish whipping him into the ropes, Walters came back with forearm to the head. Williams returned with one of his own. John went for one more but Williams ducked and caught Walters in a big blue thunder driver, 1....2....kickout by John Walters. Williams then went to work on the injured knee, stomping and kicking away at it. Doug eventually put him in an Indian deathlock and he'd fall back, jamming the knee. He then got off of Walters and then hooked him back up for a surfboard. “The Human Torture Device” was stretching Walters’ knee and shoulder joints severely. Walters wiggles his shoulder, trying desperately to free himself from Williams' grasp, he managed to do this and fall on top of Williams for a quick two count. Both men got back to their feet but Williams sent Walters to one knee after a Keiji Muto like dropkick to the knee. Walters, who was no sitting in the middle of the ring was subjected to even more brutality and yes even torture when Williams laid into his back with some stiff kicks. Doug then ran to the opposite ropes and field goal kicked Walters in the chest, sending him flat to the mat. Williams quickly followed it up with a Ric Flair knee drop across the throat and chest area of "Hurricane" John Walters, 1....2....Walters got a shoulder up. Williams goes to grab Walters but he's met with several right hands to the mid-section and while momentarily stunned he managed to stop "The Hurricane" with a knee to the chest. Doug then picked him up and set him up for what appeared to be a vertical suplex or a brainbuster but Walters dropped out the back. Williams turned around and was met by a enziguri to the head! Williams grabbed his head in pain and Walters capitalized with a boot to the gut and a desperation 'Hurricane DDT'!

Both men are down and the referee has started his count, Williams is on the mat clutching his head/neck area while Walters in the corner trying to shake the cob webs out of his knee. As the count reaches seven Williams groggily gets to his feet and Walters grabs the ropes and pulls himself onto the top rope. Walters springs into action and nails Walters with a missile dropkick. Both men get back to their feet and Walters hit a clothesline, followed by another. John grabs the UK star and rattles his jaw with forearms before whipping him into the ropes, when Williams comes back off he gets caught with an elbow to the jaw which causes him to turn. "The Hurricane" quickly takes advantage of a groggy Williams and nails a very nice German suplex. 1....2....Walters rolls over while still holding onto Williams waist and pulls himself and his opponent back to a vertical base. When they get their Walters hits another crushing German. 1.....2...Walters does the exact same thing again but this time Williams reversed it into a waist lock of his own, he then rushes into the corner and bounces Walters chest first off of it. "The Human Torture Device" then rolls back along with Walters and then hits a German suplex! Williams’s bridges and holds Walters to complete the hold know as 'The Chaos Theory'! 1....2.....3! A three count later and "The Human Torture Device" Doug Williams was moving on to the pure wrestling title tournament finals. (9:47)

Winner: "The Human Torture Device" Doug Williams (Advances To Finals)

The hometown boy gets to his feet with help of referees before pointing to Williams and suggesting that he is "The Real Deal". The two men shake hands before Williams heads to the back. Walters stays in the ring and gets a chant by the Braintree crowd.

    6) ROH Pure Wrestling Title Tournament: Semi-Finals

"The Next" Alex Shelley Vs "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles

BRMC hit for the second time tonight and "The Next" Alex Shelley came out holding his neck with both hands as he took some punishment at the hand of Jerry Lynn earlier in the night. "I Am" by Dale Oliver blasted through the speakers and AJ Styles came out too a big ovation. AJ came limping out heavily and as he came by ringside you could see Shelley flashing a confident looking grin on his face. Announcer Stephen DeAnglias did his duties and announced the two participants. "The Next" walked to the middle of the ring, still with that huge grin on his face and The two men shook hands.

The match is now underway and the combatants circle each other numerous times, Styles was especially weary as he was trying to shake out and test his leg. Meanwhile Shelley looked to be enjoying this predicament but he was still trying to knock the cobwebs out of his neck that Jerry Lynn worked on, although it was in much better condition that AJ's knee. The two locked up but Shelley quickly got behind AJ and hit a vicious kick to the back of the kneecap of The Former NWA World Champion, sending him to the mat. Shelley smiled as AJ sat on the mat grabbing his knee with a look of concern on his face. The confidant Shelley even allowed AJ to get back to his feet. Alex grinned once more and both men locked up for the second time. AJ didn’t fate much better as Shelley did the exact same thing, sending Styles to the mat. He slammed his hand on the mat as Shelley made the just bring it sign with his hands before chuckling to himself again. As AJ suffered in pain he was somehow able to get back to his feet and lock up. Shelley got behind for a third time but AJ countered it into a waist lock of his own, Styles viciously kicked Shelley in the back of the leg four times before hitting an enziguri to the already prone neck area of "The Next". AJ got a nice applause from the crowd as he pulled up his kneepad and then kicked Shelley in the back of the neck. He pulled Shelley's carcase off of the mat and whipped him into the corner before rushing in and being caught with a back elbow to the head, Shelley capitalized on this and grabbed AJ's leg and nailed a knee/shin breaker. The crowd moaned as "The Next" grabbed onto AJ's leg and started laying into it with elbows repeatedly. Shelley then wrapped his legs in between AJ's prone leg and rolled over, adding pressure to the injured leg. Styles screams, scratches and claws his way towards the ropes but Shelley lets go of the hold and picks AJ back up to his feet. Shelley, who is smiling tells the crowd to quiet down. When they do he lets out a disgusting sounding chop to the chest of AJ Styles. Alex did the same again, telling the crowd to quiet before unleashing another on the upper sternum area. This seemed to infuriate AJ though as lost it on Shelley, throwing kicks (not with his injured leg), chops, slaps and forearms while screaming 'Come On!' at the top of his lungs. AJ then went for his 'Discus Lariat' but Shelley ducked underneath into a doubled over position, AJ amazingly turned this negative into a positive as he back flipped and caught Shelley in the back of the head/neck. The crowd continued to cheer on "The Phenomenal" one as Shelley cringed in pain on the canvas. Both men were hurting, you could definitely tell that but AJ looked rejuvenated and seemed to be getting his second wind. He picked Shelley up and whipped him into the ropes, as Shelley came back at him he hit a huge back body drop, sending "The Next" square on his back once again. Shelley stumbled to his feet, still holding his neck and fell up against the ropes. AJ rushed in and hit him with some more forearms to the face. Styles backed up and ran at Alex but he got dumped over the top, luckily landing on the apron. Shelley swung at him but missed, AJ grabbed the back of Shelley's neck and dropped in quickly on the rope, snapping and jarring his neck quickly. AJ shook out his knee before jumping attempting a springboard move, unfortunately, Shelley managed to dropkick AJ's knee. AJ landed stomach first on the top rope before crashing knee first onto the apron, then onto the concrete on the outside.

Shelley rolled out of the ring and onto the floor, where he grabbed AJ by the shoulders and viciously threw him back first against the guardrail. AJ's face had a look of intolerable pain but he knew he had to fight threw it. Alex grabbed AJ's tights and pushed him up and onto the apron, where he quickly followed too. Shelley grabbed the former X-Division Champion by the knee and launched himself and AJ, Shelley drove Styles' knee right into the guardrail. Both men rolled around in pain on the outside, Styles gripping his knee while his opponent grabbed his ribs, which were also plunged into the guardrail via that innovative shin-breaker like move. Shelley was first back to his feet, but with a bad neck and potentially broken ribs he wasn't exactly in the best shape. He rolled AJ into the ring and went for a pin, 1....2....AJ somehow got a shoulder up. Alex Shelley seemed to be getting a tiny bit frustrated by the willpower of AJ Styles. “The Next” picked up Styles and went for a uppercut but AJ backed up and Shelley missed. AJ then latched onto the mid-section of his opponent and hit a snap German suplex but AJ rolled through it though and picked Shelley up, He paused for a second and then looked like he was going for a back suplex but he then dropped Alex right on his face. AJ rolled Shelley over onto his back and made the pin, 1.....2....kickout by "The Next" Alex Shelley. AJ quickly went for another move and he grabbed onto the legs of Shelley and went for a 'Styles Clash' but Shelley hugged AJ's injured knee with all his might, he wiggled and fought and eventually brought AJ down and grapevines the back of the leg. Shelley punched the back of AJ's knee while Styles tried to get the legs of his opponent off of his own. He did just that, managing to get Alex's right leg off of his and then reach the ropes. Shelley broke the hold cleanly and went on the offensive again, this time going for a vertical suplex. Shelley hoisted him halfway up but couldn't get him the rest of the way because of the pain in his neck, so he had to put him back down. Shelley turned the other way as he massaged the back of his neck, this allowed AJ to get geared up and decapitate him when he turned around with a sick 'Discus Lariat' leaving Shelley in a crumpled heap. Styles jumps on top for the pin, 1....2.....kickout by Alex Shelley. AJ grabbed Shelley and put him stomach first on the mat, before bouncing off the ropes and hitting a beautiful knee drop (using his good knee) on the injured neck of his opponent. AJ grabbed Shelley and picked him up and then snapped him back down with a sick brainbuster, AJ rolls on top, 1.....2....."The Next" gets his left shoulder up just before the three. AJ picks Shelley up again and looks to be going for another brainbuster but he lets Shelley land on his feet before snapping him down to the feet with a neckbreaker. Styles believes it's over, 1....2....kickout by Alex Shelley. AJ calls for the finish he puts Shelley's head between his legs, it looks like he's going for another 'Styles Clash' but Shelley backdrops him, AJ tries to land on his feet but his knee buckles and he drops to one knee. When he turns around Shelley spikes him right on the top of his head with a 'Shellshock', Shelley can't make the cover because his neck is in too much pain. Referee Paul Turner starts the ten count as both men show no signs of movement. Once the count gets to nine both men are almost at their feet, and Shelley breaks the count by getting up, although the ropes definitely helped. Shelley rushes forward but gets drop-toe holded by Styles. AJ then grabs Shelley's legs and pulls him towards the middle of the ring. He then locked him together in an Indian deathlock, but bridges over into a 'Muta Lock'. Shelley screams in pain as he has nowhere to go and he's in the middle of the ring, the crowd is screaming tap, and Shelley finally obliges after a good 19-20 seconds in the hold. AJ Styles is moving on to face "The Human Torture Device" Doug Williams in the finals of the Pure Wrestling Title Tournament. (20:08)

Winner: "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles (Advances To Finals)

Both men get a standing ovation for their efforts in this match. They shake hands as they walk to the back together.

    ROH Tag Team Titles:

The Briscoes Brothers (Jay & Mark) © Vs The Backseat Boyz:

The southern tunes of The Briscoes music hit the PA speakers in the national guard armory. The ROH Tag Team Champions proudly carry their belts as they seem to have finally broken the tag team title curse. With convincing wins over Izzy & Dixie to win the belts, then The Prophecy of Chris Daniels and Danny Maff At War Of The Wire and The SAT on the 12/27 Convention Card. They then also defeated Samoa Joe in his quest for the tag titles as he teamed with some of the best wrestlers in the world (AJ Styles, Bryan Danielson & Jerry Lynn). The Briscoes are definitely for real. Once Jay and Mark arrived in the ring, GMC walked down to the ring and said he had an announcement. The Backseat Boyz would not be their tonight due to Johnny Kashmere getting into a car accident on his way to the show, Trent Acid accompanied him to the hospital which is why he is not their tonight. Doctors say that Kashmere has suffered a shoulder injury of some sort but it doesn't look to be all that serious, but they are keeping him overnight at the hospital for pre-cautionary reasons. GMC said they will be in The RexPlex for the 3/13 New Jersey show and they also will still get the tag team title shot that is owed to them in the future.

Mark Briscoe then grabbed the mic and actually wished Johnny Kashmere the best, but when they do square off for ROH Tag Team Titles they will be enemies once again. Jay took the mic and promised BSB that when they face off, they'll be pinned to the mat quicker than when he beats Samoa Joe for the ROH World Title, so it's going to be under thirty seconds. Jay also said that they didn’t just come here to do nothing, so they are making an open challenge to any team in the back that wants a title shot, to come out and get beat by the best tag team in the world. He states that under the guidance of Jim Cornette, nobody can beat them.

The champs waited in the ring, but it wasn't long before the 80's tunes of Dunn and Marcos, The Ring Crew Express hit the PA System. They ran around ringside and slapped hands with the fans before doing the same to ROH cameraman Doug Gentry and referee Todd Sinclair. Marcos snatched the mic from the champs and said his usual catchphrase..."We are Dunn & Marcos, The Ring Crew Express!" The fans cheered on as Jay and Mark looked at each other and just shook their heads. Marcos said that The RCE have been everybody's "Whipping Boys" for too long, and tonight they become ROH Tag Team Champions! They then stuck out their hands for handshakes and The Briscoes obliged but then decked The RCE with fists to the jaw!

    ROH Tag Team Titles:

The Briscoes Brothers (Jay & Mark) © Vs The Ring Crew Express (Dunn & Marcos):

The Briscoes continue to nail the two fan favourites with rights and lefts before nodding at each other. They grab the two eighties rocker wannabees and whip them into the ropes. Dunn and Marcos telegraph The Briscoes back body drop attempt and kick Jay and Mark right in the face. They Climb on top of The Briscoes shoulders and when Jay & Mark stand upright, The RCE roll them up in 'Victory Rolls', 1....2...Jay & Mark barely kick out. Dunn looks to continue their roll but Mark drop-toe holded him out of the ring and to the floor. Jay picked Marcos up and drops him throat first across the top rope, Mark comes off the ropes and kills the smaller Marcos with a lariat as he was staggering backwards. Dunn looked to crawl back into the ring, but Jay baseball slides into him, knocking back onto the floor. Mark holds his opponent there while Jay can get back over. When they do Mark holds the waist of Marcos and Jay bounces off of the ropes and they kill him with a German Suplex/Yakuza Kick combo, 1.....2....Marcos somehow kicked out. Mark pick Marcos back up and looks to be going for a back suplex, Jay meanwhile noticed out of the corner of his eye that Dunn has gotten back in the ring and he runs over but gets knocked flat on his ass by a disgusting sounding super kick. Mark goes for the back suplex but Marcos holds onto Mark's head and punches him square between the eyes and then comes down with Mark's head right into his knee. Dunn rushes over as Marcos repositioned his arms and they hit the 'Assisted Sliced Bread #2'. Marcos then hops up the ropes and lands on to Dunn's shoulders as they look to be going for the assisted-senton that they do but when they turn around Jay murders Dunn with a Yakuza kick to the mug, Marcos drops face first as Dunn falls flat on his back. Jay then hooks Marcos up and hits a 'Jay Driller'! Jay gets back to his feet and gives a big "Yes" to himself but Dunn is getting back to his feet. Jay swings wildly but Dunn ducks and grabs Jay and lifts him up, he then quickly drops him face first with a sick 'Gory Bomb', Jay landed right on his mug. Instead of going for a pin, Dunn makes the mistake of going over and checking on Marcos, who was still lying motionless after getting hit with the 'Jay Driller'. This allowed Mark Briscoe to walk over and hook Dunn for a Cut-Throat Driver! Dunn didn't even have time to fight out of it as Mark picked him up and then dropped him on his neck in a matter of seconds. The Briscoes don’t look like they are done though. Jay pulls the straps on his singlet down before raising his thumbs up to Mark. Mark gets Marcos on top rope and Jay comes over. Briscoe hooks the legs and has Marcos on his shoulder, Jay runs to the middle of the ring and kills Marcos with a ‘Muscle Buster’! Jay rolled him over and make the academic pin cover for the three count. Jay Briscoe just used one of Samoa Joe’s own finishing moves! The Briscoes retain the Tag Team Titles, and Jay Briscoe heads into 3/13 in New Jersey looking to be the first double champion in ROH History. (4:34)

Winner(s): Still ROH Tag Team Champions: Jay & Mark Briscoe

The Briscoes grab their belts and shake the hands of the lifeless Dunn and Marcos before taking off to the locker room.

    ROH World Title: Triple Threat

Samoa Joe © Vs BJ Whitmer w/ Allison Danger Vs Dan Maff w/ Allison Danger:

    Note:

    - If Joe pins anyone, he retains the ROH World Title.

    - If anyone pins Joe, they become the new ROH Champion.

    - If Maff pins Whitmer or vice-versa, They become the sole #1 Contenders Trophy Holder and will get a One-On-One shot against Joe in the future.

"Whatcha Gonna Do" by Modtrom Productions hit the PA System and the sinister laugh went throughout the entire building before "The Prophecy's Hired Assassin" Dan Maff, along with Allison Danger made his prescience known. Maff walked down the isle by himself as Danger made her way backstage once again. Maff looked confident and ready for possibly the biggest match of his career. The hard-rock music of BJ Whitmer hit next and he made his way out along with Allison Danger (who would stay at ringside for good) as his fellow prophecy member looked on in the ring. Once Whitmer entered the ring he looked at Maff and smiled which started another argument between the dysfunctional two as Allison Danger tried to break it up from the ring apron. The argument sure got broken up but it was by the sounds of Faith No More and Booyah Tribe's "Another Body Murdered" and The ROH World Champion Samoa Joe made his way down to the ring as the crowd went wild. The Armory filled up with chants of "Joe"! as the champ looked not so confident for one of the first times in his ROH Career. Joe entered the ring and the streamers came raining down upon him. Once the introductions were done and the ring was cleared, the bell rung and it was time for the match.

The rules for this one was everyman in the ring at the same time. Joe was especially weary as the match started, The Prophecy went for a double clothesline but Joe ducked underneath the attempt, When BJ turned around he was met by a savat kick that dropped him like of a sack of potatoes. Whitmer smartly he rolled to the outside, where Allison Danger ran over to help. Maff on the other hand met Joe with a forearm and a knife-edge chop across the chest, which didn't have much of an effect as Joe just shook his head, Joe then unleashed a monster chop across the chest of Danny Maff, making him cringe in pain. Maff went for another one and it had the same effect, which was none. Joe slashed the chest of his opposition with another lethal chop, but Maff fired back quickly with one of his own, which finally seemed to effect the champ. Joe went for a backhand blow but it was blocked and Maff raked Joe's eyes. Maff smiled as Whitmer was still trying to get his wits together on the outside. Maff went to Irish whip Joe into the ropes but he stopped once there, Danny rushed in but was back body dropped to the outside, cleaning the clock once more of BJ Whitmer and almost Allison Danger. Joe then started getting the crowd into it, jumping up and down in the ring as it looked as if the big man wanted to go airborne. Joe bounced off the ropes with force, unfortunately he didn't notice BJ Whitmer managing to get up onto the ring apron. When Joe went for a suicide dive he was caught flush in the temple by a running knee from BJ Whitmer. Whitmer jumped in the ring and went for a cover, 1....2....Maff pulled him out of the ring. "The Prophecy's Hired Assassin" went for a cover of his own but when the referee's hand was about to come down for a third time, Whitmer yanked Maff out of the ring. They began to argue and two Prophecy members almost came to blows but Allison Danger calmed them down and told them to go win the belt. Maff and Whitmer reluctantly agreed and got back in the ring and on the offence. When both men got back into the ring though, they got knocked over like bowling pins by a big double clothesline. Joe grabbed Maff and threw him to the outside. The champion knew his only chance to win this was to isolate one man. Meanwhile Whitmer became subjected to a Samoa Joe flurry of chops and punches. BJ got his chest and jaw rocked all the way into the corner before getting knocked out of his boots by and huge Joe enziguri, dropping him on his ass in the corner. The crowd continued to cheer as "Hillbilly Jesus" BJ Whitmer received a 'Face Wash' in the corner, as Joe scraped his boot along Whitmer's acne ridden face. Joe then ran to the opposite corner and hit the running face wash/boot scrape on a beaten BJ Whitmer. Joe picked BJ up and signalled for the end as he picked him up for an 'Island Driver', once again, luckily for Whitmer, Maff saved his ass by pulling him down by the legs. Joe quickly turned around and received a boot to the mid-section. Maff stuck him in a powerbomb position and slapped Joe in the back with both of his hands. Joe cringes in pain, but is soon sent to the mat after a Whitmer superkick. The two Prophecy members gave each other the groups’ high-five of sorts before Maff hit the ropes and came back with a big senton on The ROH World Champion.

Whitmer went over to the ropes and started jawing with fans at ringside, which Immediately started a “WASH YOUR FACE!” chant. Whitmer became enraged, and Allison Danger has to calm him down from the outside. Meanwhile, Maff was stomping a proverbial mudhole in Samoa Joe's chest, as the champ lay on the mat. Whitmer came over and told Maff to back up, he then flashed the crowd the middle finger before dropping a knee across the forehead of Joe. Whitmer & Maff started talking strategy in the ring, the two picked Joe up and pushed him towards the ropes. Whitmer got in a few shots before they Irish whipped him to the opposite side of the ring, they met him in he middle and tried for a double hip toss, but Joe blocked it and came to a stand-still in the middle of the ring. Maff & Whitmer looked at each other and tried again but Joe didn't move. Joe pulled them in and they collided heads with each other. Whitmer staggered back into the ropes, while Maff clutched his head in pain. Joe capitalized on the situation, nailing Maff with a huge enziguri to the back of the head. As Maff looked out of it on the mat, Whitmer, who'd regained his composure, charged in but got a boot to the mid-section. Joe grabbed his arm and hooked him. The champ then lifted Whitmer high into the air and dropped him with a vertical suplex right onto the mid-section of Dan Maff. The crowd applauded as The ROH World Champion sprung back to his feet, after successfully suplexing BJ Whitmer onto Dan Maff!! Allison Danger, got onto the apron and started arguing with the referee, Joe came over and Danger turned her attention towards him. He just smiled back at her, before grabbing her by her multi-coloured hair. Suddenly Joe released Danger, but it was just in time, as Whitmer charged in and knocked her off the apron and to the floor! Whitmer stomped the mat and he couldn't believe his luck, but it was about to get worse as he turned around right into a powerslam from Samoa Joe, 1......2......Kickout by BJ Whitmer! Joe turned to the crowd before picking Whitmer up off the mat and said "It's Over!". Joe then unleashed a flurry of chops, before hitting a backhand blow to the back of Whitmer's head, potentially knocking him goofy! Joe spun around quickly the other way, looking for a lariat - But BJ somehow ducked and hit a Backdrop Driver! Joe landed right on his neck. Joe crawled his way to the corner, grabbing his neck in obvious agony.

  13. The Last Stand - Glen Burnie, MD 1/29/04

Before the show GMC and new ROH correspondent “Sugar” Sean Price met up with Homicide & Julius Smokes to get a few words. Homicide said he needed some time alone and walked off. Smokes and the others looked confused.

    1. “Hurricane” John Walters defeated Chad Collyer via submission in a Three Rope Break Match. Collyer had used all his rope breaks and tried to escape over the top rope, but Walters turned it into a Boston crab in the ropes where Collyer would soon tap. (14:10)

    2. “The Future” Chris Sabin defeated Hydro w/ Becky Bayless, Caprice Coleman, Slyk Wagner Brown w/ April Hunter, Sonjay Dutt & Jack Evans in the first ever Six Man Mayhem Match via Pinfall to earn a spot in the top five rankings. A simply insane match that included a six-way submission and every man doing a dive. The match ended after Sabin hit a release dragon suplex and his Future Shock finisher on Hydro. (9:38)

    3. “Classic” Colt Cabana conducted the first ever live Good Times, Great Memories with special guests The Ring Crew Express. The segment was broken up by Dan Maff & BJ Whitmer, who stormed the ring, looking for revenge for the attack on Christopher Daniels last show. Whitmer held Cabana for Maff to hit, but Dunn & Marcos distracted Maff and Whitmer let go of Cabana. The Prophecy decimated The Ring Crew Express with a stereo Burning Hammer & Wrist Clutch Exploder. Maff & Whitmer had to be seperated afterward by Allison Danger. Maff was visibly frustrated with Whitmer, because he allowed Cabana to get away.

    4. The Backseat Boyz (Trent Acid & Johnny Kashmere) defeated The Carnage Crew (Loc & Justin Credible) and Special K (Izzy & Dixie) w/ Angel Dust, Lit, Becky Bayless & The Special K Sluts in a No-DQ Triangle Tag Team Match via Pinfall. The Backseat Boyz & The Carnage Crew were working together, but Acid & Kashmere turned on them and hit Loc with a T-Gimmick. The Carnage Crew still haven’t gotten retribution on Special K. (6:20)

    5. BJ Whitmer & Dan Maff w/ Allison Danger defeated “The All Around Best” Xavier & “Field Of Honor Champion” Matt Stryker in a Four Corner Survival Match to dually capture the Number One Contender's Trophy. The finish came when Maff and Whitmer both pinned Matt Stryker, giving them a dual title shot at the Second Anniversary Show. (14:10)

    6. “The Next” Alex Shelley defeated “The Barbaric Berzerker” Jimmy Jacobs via Submission after applying the Border City Stretch. After the match Shelley & Jacobs both slapped each other before shaking hands. (12:30)

    7. “The Notorious 187” Homicide w/ Julius “The Devil’s Son In-Law” Smokes defeated CM Punk w/ Tracey Brooks & “Classic“ Colt Cabana via Pinfall after Homicide hit The Cop Killa/Kudoh Driver. After the match, Maff & Whitmer attacked Cabana again, and went to attack Punk, but Homicide and Julius Smokes prevented them from entering the ring, protecting Homicide's opponent for the evening. (20:00)

    8. Jay & Mark Briscoe © w/ Jim Cornette defeated Samoa Joe & Jerry Lynn to retain the ROH Tag Team Titles via Pinfall. While Lynn brawled on the outside with Mark, Joe had Cornette cornered, but Jay Briscoe used Cornette’s racket, smacking the ROH World Champion across the back. In a controversial finish, Joe though he kicked out in time. Afterwards, Joe snapped hitting the referee with his Island Driver and Lynn also hit the referee with the Cradle Piledriver. (16:00)

After the show, ROH Champion Samoa Joe vented his frustrations about the refereeing in the main event. He challenged Jay Briscoe to a Cage Match for The ROH World Title at The RexPlex on March 13th. He said Jay will have no Jim Cornette or no “inbred brother” to help him. Joe was then attacked by Dan Maff & BJ Whitmer of The Prophecy.

In another backstage promo, The Prophecy said it had carried out it’s plan and succeeded in it’s three objectives for the night. 1) Capture the number one contenders trophy, 2) Taking out Colt Cabana and 3) Taking out Samoa Joe.

Lastly, “Sugar” Sean Price caught up with Julius Smokes & Homicide. ‘Cide said this could have been his very last match in ROH as he’s going away for a while and doesn’t know when or if he’ll be back. But if he comes back, there is gonna be hell to pay. Both SSP & Smokes looked confused by Homicide's comments once again.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Locker Room Scoops - February 4th, 2004:

    - After the latest event in Glen Burnie, MD , Homicide walked out of the building. Julius Smokes has tried to contact “The Notorious 187” but has been un-able to. Will Homicide be at The Second Anniversary Show?

    - After winning his qualifier in a great showdown against Chad Collyer, John Walters joins a stacked field in the Pure Wrestling Title Tournament. Walters joins, “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles, the returning “Human Torture Device” Doug Williams, “The Future” Chris Sabin, Jerry Lynn, & Matt Stryker . With two spots remaining and several wrestlers vying for them, who will be the lucky ones?

    - ROH Champion Samoa Joe is looking to extract revenge on The Prophecy. After the show in Glen Burnie, BJ Whitmer & Dan Maff sneak attacked the World Champion. Joe says he’s beaten both of them before and he’ll do it again.

    - Speaking of The Prophecy, resulting in their attack on “Classic” Colt Cabana last week, Colt will be out longer than expected with his injured shoulders and will now miss The Second Anniversary show. Cabana vowed that he will be back for the huge 3/13 show at The RexPlex in Elizabeth, NJ. CM Punk will also miss the Second Anniversary show to help Cabana recuperate in time for The Second City Saints return to NJ.

    - The Carnage Crew is very distraught about not getting the win over Special K after Trent Acid & Johnny Kashmere turned on them during the no-dq three way tag match in Glen Burnie, MD. Loc swears that The Backseat Boyz will get what’s coming to them in due time but The Carnage Crew of Loc DeVito and the returning Masada are looking forward to extracting a measure of revenge in The Country Whipping Match in Boston.

    - There are still great tickets on sale for The 3/13 Show at The RexPlex, but they are going fast. This could be ROH’s biggest show yet with a double steel cage main event with Jay Briscoe Vs Samoa Joe & the return of The Scramble Cage as the feud between Special K & The Carnage Crew comes to an end!!! Locker Room Scoops - February 11th, 2004:

    - Apparently ROH World Champion Samoa Joe has been training feverishly in mat work & grappling at the New Japan Dojo. The champ has been training with some fantastic partners so that Jay Briscoe won’t be able to escape the cage during their match on 3/13.

    - Allison Danger has commented that Samoa Joe is looking past the three-way match at this weekend’s “Second Year Anniversary Show”. She believes this is the opportunity for The Prophecy to finally gain the ROH Title.

    - There had still been no word on when “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels will return to ROH. If you remember, Daniels was driven through a table after a Pepsi Plunge by CM Punk and The Second City Saints at “The Battle Lines Are Drawn” in Wilmington, OH.

-Chris Sabin has been forced to pull out of the ROH Pure Wrestling Title Tournament. Sabin suffered a leg injury in a match against Angel Dust of Special K this past weekend at another independent show. Sabin will return on future ROH events. Chad Collyer, who lost an extremely close match against John Walters to get into the Pure Wrestling Title Tournament has been chosen to replace him.

    - Jimmy Rave & Alex Shelley have been chosen to be the last two entrees in the Pure Wrestling Title Tournament. Shelley, almost defeated Matt Stryker in the first three rope break rule match & has been impressive, while Rave finally picked up a big win in a Four Corner Survival in Wilmington, OH and looks to be on the right path.

    - The Brackets have been announced for The ROH Pure Wrestling Title Tournament:

“The Phenomenal” AJ Styles will take on his protege’ Jimmy Rave in the first round. AJ back at “The Battle Lines Are Drawn” said Jimmy should be ready for him, apparently this is what AJ had up his sleeve while he was talking to Jimmy. The Veteran, Jerry Lynn will take on “The Next” Alex Shelley. Shelley who is coming off a big win over friend and rival Jimmy Jacobs will have to battle the former ECW Champion. Field of Honor champion, Matt Stryker will have to do battle with “The Human Torture Device” Doug Williams. Stryker, if he can make it into the finals may have an edge up as he won the first ever Pure Wrestling Rules match. Plus, in a re-match from our very last show “Hurricane “ John Walters will take on Chad Collyer in his hometown of Boston.

    - The Briscoe Brothers will have to defend their ROH Tag Team Titles against the hottest team in ROH right now, The Backseat Boyz. Will Jay be able to focus his mind on this match with his big match against Samoa Joe looming or will The Backseats be able to capture the tag titles for the second time?

    - The Conclusion & War Of The Wire have now been released on DVD and Final Battle 2003 has been released on VHS. Pre-Orders for Final Battle 2003 on DVD and “The Battle Lines Are Drawn” event from Wilmington, OH on VHS & DVD can now be made.

    “We Don’t Imitate, We Innovate”

No such words have been more true. Still to this day, Ring Of Honor has set itself apart from any other promotion. Managing to combined High-Flying, Pure Wrestling, Strong-Style and Brawling into one, the ROH experience is one that cannot be bested. Started in February of 2002 by RFVideo executives Rob Feinstein, Doug Gentry along with Gabe Sapolsky; they wanted to bring life back into the stagnant Philadelphia independent scene. With CZW as the only promotion truly tested over time in the area and ECW’s recent departure leaving RFVideo without a #1 promotion, they decided to make one for themselves, so Ring Of Honor was created. But their ideas weren’t that of building towards your normal indy promotion. They wanted something new, something fresh and different. Sports Entertainment was boring, they wanted to bring respect back to wrestling, in fact they wanted to bring Honor back to wrestling.

Backed by Feinstein and promoted by RFVideo itself, the former ECW employee - Sapolsky was given the reigns. Knowing he needed something to set ROH apart from any other promotion directly off the bat, Sapolsky and his fellow creators implemented the “Code Of Honor”. A list of “commandments” that were and still are the cornerstone of the promotion to this very day. After promoting thoroughly in the Philadelphia area they were set. The first show - February 23rd, 2002, entitled “The Era Of Honor Begins”.

    1. Da Hit Squad vs. The Christopher St. Connection

    2. Jay Briscoe vs. The Amazing Red

    3. Boogie Knights vs. Natural Born Sinners

    4. Joel Maximo vs. Jose Maximo vs. The Amazing Red vs. Quiet Storm vs. Chris Divine vs. Brian XL (Ultimate Aerial Elimination Match)

    5. Michael Shane & Oz vs. Spanky & Ikaika Loa

    6. Eddie Guerrero vs. Super Crazy (IWA I-C Title Match)

    7. Low Ki vs. Bryan Danielson vs. Christopher Daniels

Using a unique combination of heralded indy stars from around the U.S. (The Amazing Red, Christopher Daniels & Low-Ki) , fresh faces looking to make their name (Spanky, Michael Shane), and well known draws (Eddie Guerrero & Super Crazy), ROH had a little something for everyone. Using the Murphy Rec Center for their debut show, they managed to draw around 250 or so fans. It’s amazing to see the transition ROH has made over time. The show itself was looked upon as a success by many people, starting off with the comedic performances of The Christopher St. Connection and ending with one of the best three-way matches ever according to some. Ring Of Honor’s first show put them on the map without a doubt.

Since opening it’s doors on that cold February night in Philly, ROH has expanded by leaps and bounds. Branching out to NYC, Maryland, Pittsburgh, New Jersey & The Boston area since, and about to make it’s Midwest debuts in St. Paul, MN & Chicago (Ridge), IL in just 2 months time. But through all the ups, there have definitely been some downs. Some people have come and gone, some mistakes have been made, but through it all Ring Of Honor has maintained a level of competitiveness inside that ring that is un-matched. With ROH’s biggest shows upcoming in The Second Anniversary Show, The huge March 13th show at The RexPlex and The Mid-West double shot weekend, this without doubt is a crucial period in ROH’s growth. Can ROH maintain it’s spot as the #1 Independent promotion? We’ll have to see...

    The Code Of Honor:

“ROH has a goal to present wrestling as a sport, not sports entertainment. In order to achieve this goal, ROH is based on the Code Of Honor, which is made up of five Laws Of Honor. These five Laws Of Honor are intended to promote sportsmanship, respect and honor inside the wrestling ring. The Laws Of Honor will allow ROH competitors to produce the most athletic matches possible. These are the sacred rules that will define Ring Of Honor's product.

    The Laws Of Honor:

-Competitors must shake hands before and after their match.

-No interfering in matches or having others interfere on your behalf.

-No harming a referee or causing others to harm an official.

    -No sneak attacks.

-If you are disqualified in your match, you have broken The Code Of Honor

However, some matches are not about respect, honor and sportsmanship. Some matches are about settling a heated issue. Some bouts are about hatred and just trying to hurt you adversary. As the issues in Ring Of Honor get more intense, ROH will present more gimmick matches centered on blood feuds. The Code Of Honor will not apply to these matches. Any bout labelled as a grudge match or with a violent stipulation will not be expected to adhere to the Code Of Honor.

The Code Of Honor will still apply to all other matches to insure only the best in ring action with clear winners and losers”

    Title History:

    The ROH World Heavyweight Title:

Current Champion: Samoa Joe (Won On March 23rd, 2003)

A unique 16 man, 4 block tournament was held in Philadelphia at Ring Of Honor‘s 5th event entitled “Road To The Title“. Involving some of the best Wrestlers from not only The U.S. but Britain as well, this was the first show that was titled as a must have for Ring Of Honor fans. With the emergence of Doug Williams in the U.S., Jerry Lynn‘s ROH Debut, along with several classic moments like “The Matrix Minute“ as Low-Ki battled The Amazing Red, the night went fantastic. But at the end there were only four men left. Christopher Daniels, Spanky, Doug Williams & Low-Ki. The stage was set, who would come out on top? The four men battled for 60 minutes in an iron man match in 100 degree heat. Low-Ki came out on top, edging out his nemesis Christopher Daniels.

The era of Low-Ki had started, many were predicting a long title reign as Ki looked unbeatable. Ki successfully defended against one of the hottest wrestlers in the country - AJ Styles. Ki was next challenged by a man who nobody considered a threat. "The All Around Best" Xavier, was a crowd favourite but a mid-carder who was to be dominated. The match was competitive but in Low-Ki's favour as many thought it would be. This changed when Christopher Daniels came out and confronted Low-Ki in the isle, Xavier came up and un-charistically chop-blocked Low-Ki. Xavier had aligned himself with Daniels and The Prophecy (at the time consisting of Simply Luscious, Donovan Morgan & Daniels himself). Xavier hit a 450 splash on the champion and captured the belt, and secured The Prophecy as the premier group in Ring Of Honor.

The ROH Title was now around a man who displayed no honor, no integrity and spit on everything that was ROH. While many considered Xavier's reign as a joke at first, there was no doubt that he cemented himself as a credible champion in the following months, putting on solid outings against Jay Briscoe , AJ Styles & Paul London. But through all the great in-ring action, The Prophecy's & Xavier's actions were still shady. After having one of the best triple threats in ROH history, Xavier challenged Paul London right after his match, saying it was now or never for him to receive his title shot. London fought hard and long but interference from Allison Danger (who had replaced Simply Luscious after she had defected to Steve Corino‘s “Group“) and cheating from Xavier was must too much. It now looked like Xavier's reign would be safe with The Prophecy at his side.

By March, things started to turn sour for The Prophecy. At "Expect The Unexpected", Daniels & Xavier (replacing Donovan Morgan, who was in Japan) lost the ROH Tag Team Titles to the makeshift duo of AJ Styles & The Amazing Red. Xavier was hurt in the match, and only a week later had to face Samoa Joe, a man who Christopher Daniels had originally brought in to destroy one Low-Ki. Joe at the time was much like Xavier when he won the title. A mid-carder, but with devastating strikes and moves, Joe was able to capture the title and restore honor to it. Meanwhile, Xavier would go on the shelf for a while after suffering a concussion in the match.

Not many people had faith in the Joe title reign, assuming he'd drop it within a few months. His first two tests were against European talent. Beating Doug Williams in a hard-fought match and Zebra Kid at the joint FWA/ROH super-show, where The 'Ole Kick was debuted. Next up was the "Notorious 187" Homicide. A Man which Joe would have a few problems with since this defence. Many people scouted Homicide to be the man to take the belt from Joe and this almost happened. Homicide, unfortunately was distracted by friends, Low-Ki & Julius Smokes arguing on the outside and was nearly killed by a second rope "Muscle Buster" from Joe. Next came two of the most emotional matches of Joe's title reign. Dan Maff, who's father had passed just the night before toughed it out against Joe and almost came up the victor, but he was put away like the three before him. The champ then faced Paul London in his last match in ROH. Alot of people didn't buy into the fact that London was really leaving and thought this would be the night he finally captured the ROH Title. London battled through sweat and tears, even hitting the London Star Press, but Joe choked him out, ending the dream. After reeling off a title defence against BJ Whitmer in Dayton (an event where he saved Jim Cornette from a beat down at the hands of The Prophecy), Joe faced the man who brought him to ROH, "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels. Daniels destiny was to win the ROH Title from the time the title was conceived and this was to be the night his destiny was fulfilled. After a tough battle, and a controversial pin where the crowd thought Daniels had won the ROH Title, Joe defeated the father of ROH with an Island Driver.

After defeating WXW star Ares on a trip to Europe, Joe returned and faced Jay Briscoe. A man who had earned a title shot two shows previous in a Four Corner Survival that included the Champion. Joe was embarrassed because he believed that he should win every match he's in. Next, Joe faced off against Homicide once again, but this time in a No Holds Barred match. This was non-title as Homicide didn't earn an actual title shot. In a brutal affair, "The Notorious 187" ironically choked out Joe but with the use of a noose, none-the-less earning 'Cide a future title shot.

The next night Joe & AJ would face off in a hard-hitting match that almost seen a new champion via a Styles Clash. Joe would be resilient though, and defeated the former NWA Champion with a Muscle Buster.

Coming off the heels on another defence at The ROH/JAPW Joint Show versus Balls Mahoney, Joe faces one of his biggest tests to date, BJ Whitmer & Dan Maff at The Second Year Anniversary show. He's defeated both men one on one but can he defeated both men at the same time, especially with Whitmer as a member of The Prophecy now. If he can, he'll be faced with Jay Briscoe in a Steel Cage where Jay doesn't even need to pin him to win the title. These next 2 months will be the biggest of Joe's reign, and with him approaching one full year as champion can he cope with the pressure?

    The ROH Tag Team Titles:

Current Champions: Mark & Jay Briscoe (Won On November 1st, 2003)

The ROH Tag Team Titles were to be decided at a show called "Unscripted". The tournament itself was overshadowed by an amazing street fight between Michael Shane & Paul London but still had some exciting matches. Christopher Daniels & Donovan Morgan were able to top "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson & Michael Modest in the finals, The Prophecy now had all the titles in Ring Of Honor. The Tag Titles have had some tough times through it's history, Morgan & Daniels weren't able to defend often (Twice Only, once in a six man tag) due to Japanese Commitments and The Prophecy (With Xavier replacing Morgan) eventually lost to the makeshift team of The Amazing Red & AJ Styles.

Once the titles were around their waists it seemed like everything starting going well. They, along with the Briscoes had three amazing matches (Expect The Unexpected, Epic Encounter & Death Before Dishonor), still highly regarded as the best in ROH history. The Briscoes though could never come out on top, and it seemed like AJ & Red were on a roll. Then suddenly bad luck started to strike the tag team division. Red suffered a knee injury in a match with The Briscoes, who The SAT (Red's "Cousin's") said wouldn't have occurred if The Briscoes hadn't have gone after it unnecessarily. Red is due to return sometime this summer. This left AJ without a partner, forcing him to vacate the titles. They were put up in a Tag Team Gauntlet, which wasn't exactly the best spectacle of wrestling ever put on, but Johnny Kashmere & Trent Acid - The Backseat Boyz were now ROH Tag Team Champions.

Many predicted a long title reign for The Backseats, but in only their first title defence they lost to Izzy & Dixie of Special K through interference. After cheating to beat rivals Loc & DeVito of The Carnage Crew in their first defence, Izzy & Dixie were forced by ROH owner Rob Feinstein to take on The Briscoes. Before the tag match Jay, Mark & Jim Cornette had come together to forge an alliance. The Briscoes under the guidance of Cornette defeated Special K handily and finally captured the Ring Of Honor Tag Team Titles. The belts however had seen three different owners in about three weeks and the tag division's stability was on the rocks.

The Briscoes however continued to forge on, defeating AJ Styles & Samoa Joe in a fantastic match at "The Conclusion" which ended up with Mark actually pinning the ROH Champion. Jay & Mark came up big once again defeating the ever savvy “Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels and partner Dan Maff the very next night. Since then The Briscoes have gone on to defend the belts three more times, first in a grudge match against The SAT during the afternoon card of Final Battle 2003 as well as against Samoa Joe (with Bryan Danielson & Jerry Lynn respectively as partners). Meanwhile the feud against Joe raged on as Jay & Joe's respect for each other seems to be non-existent. Scheduled for a tag team title defence against The hottest team in ROH, The Backseat Boyz at the upcoming Second Year Anniversary Show, can they continue to battle all the teams in Ring Of Honor AND Samoa Joe? Only time will tell...

    The ROH Pure Wrestling Title:

    Current Champion: Vacant

The first ever ROH Pure Wrestling champion will be crowned in an eight man single elimination tournament at The Second Anniversary Show.

  15. I haven't bought a CD in a while...there's nothing even worth buying ....I think the last one was Nas's Street's Disciple, I'll be getting Common's new album Be when it comes out, and Black Star's album too sometime this week (if it's even out yet I have no idea if it is)

  16. In Keeping Secrects Of Silent Earth: 3 - Coheed & Cambria : Would've had bought it sooner but had some other higher priority things to buy first. I'd say, probably one of the best overall CD's I own. Every song on the album is good (specifically "Blood Red Summer", "A Favour House Atlantic" & "Three Evils") and I can't thank IAceI enough for turning me on to them back in like November.

The Official M.I.C (Make It Count) Mixtape - Royce Da 5'9 : Can't say it's the best album that Royce has put out, but it's still solid. "Buzzin'" is a great way to get the disc started and there are several other good songs on it. A definate pick up for any Royce fans but I wouldn't put it up there with his previous two attempts.

  17. These are usually the CD's I'll listen all the way through to.

    - "Breath From Another" by Esthero

    - "Make Yourself" by Incubus

    - "Black On Both Sides" by Mos Def

    - "Illmatic" by Nas

    - "Quality" by Talib Kweli

    - "Famous, Rich & Beautiful" by The Philosopher Kings

  18. Without A Paddle: 7.5/10

Some really good jokes in this one, the real problem I had was I hated when Matthew Lillard's character was getting all "Deep", it seemed a bit overdone in past movies. Dax Sheppard & Seth Green were hillarious, and Lillard has a did a solid job.

    Friday Night Lights: 7/10

Hardly "The Greatest Sports Movie Ever Made" but a good movie none the less. What happened with Boobie Miles was pretty overdone aswell, but I loved the interaction with him and his teammates, he really plays the "Cocky Star Player" roll really well. Also the drunk father/son scenes were good aswell. One of my favourite Billy Bob movies aswell.
