  1. Are Vinyl and Limitless worth watching, or no?

My series to watch list is getting too long, and I have too much recorded to waste time with guff, particularly as I haven't watched Jessica Jones yet, and Daredevil S2 is coming, let alone the return of Arrow and The Flash.

Shit, if only there was a way to combine visual and audio in an accessible way.

You should get on that, you'd make a mint!

But seriously, I always feel radio 'guest slots' have a lot more freedom to them, so it's cool to see the other side :P

  3. Guy's a fucking joke. That's up there with Kim Kardashian's 'North managed to Instagram this photo of me, she's so clever, lol' bullshit. Collymore can fuck off with his defending of it too. Mistake or not, he deserves to be called out in the harshest terms for it.

The whole team are a shambles at the minute. Not a man looks like he gives a shit. They seem happy enough to just grab the paycheck, clock in, and stand around essentially.

It's just depressing talking about Villa at the moment. I can't see any other outcome than dropping like a stone through the leagues at the minute.

  4. Sounds like more of a competitor with Getaway Car, BBC's (terrible) new show fronted by Dermot O'Leary, with people driving 'crazy' courses in various cars, combined with Star In A Reasonably Priced Car, invariably the worst section of Top Gear.

I love Chris Evans (I know), but with all the news and talk coming out about Top Gear, I can't see it being any good - that's if it even makes it to the light of day...

  5. For anyone who missed this news, and might be interested; Lemmy's funeral is going to be streamed online in an attempt to keep attendee numbers down and prevent problems there. YouTube, I think?

  6. Nah, he told Felicity in the Armageddon Timeline, in the New Survival Timeline he didn't.

At least I think so, but that's always the problem with multiple timelines, easy to get mixed up.

I agree on the Earth-2 dealio, I think we need to start seeing that leak into Arrow more too. Apart from anything else, it opens up reboot avenues if Arrow is truly only going 5 seasons, without having to reset the rest of the DCTVU as well. I just want to see Arrow Sr. really.

  7. It's Ollie's kid, I'm almost certain of it. From the scene at the end of Dahrk with his family, to Barry being the one who shows up when Oliver is alone (he's the only other person that knows in this timeline), I think it's leading to Ollie's Kid being the body.

  8. In fairness/kayfabe, the reason Ollie didn't tell Felicity is because the mother threatened him with not being able to see the kid if he told anyone about it.

Of course, that doesn't hold up to scrutiny, because, well, how the fuck would she know if he told anyone? I mean, he is Green Arrow. Guy can keep a secret hidden.

At some point FIFA should probably start applying the 'no state interference in the national association' rule to everyone, and not just random African countries...

I could be incorrect here, but doesn't the new law/legislation apply to all businesses, therefore football is included, rather than it being 'direct' interference in the sport, which is what there'd be a problem with?

  10. One of the finest episodes of Nu-Who, if not the finest. Just a cracking hour, with few flaws.

Re: The diamond wall not resetting:

The best explanation I've seen is that as it was the 'portal' to getting out of the confession dial, it didn't actually exist within the construct, and was more of a bridge, so whilst everything within the stone reset, the diamond did not as it fell outside of the dial's 'remit'.

Hawkeye Vol. 4 by Matt Fraction, it's 22 issues long and it departs from the doomsday super-villain scenarios and instead has a somwhat everyman story with the Marvel's version of the everyman, Hawkeye. He's grumpy, he adopts a dog, he argues and has fun with his partner (also named Hawkeye), and he goes up against a bunch of tracksuit wearing 'bro' saying mobsters to help ordinary people. It doesn't have worlds exploding, or people lifting cars and all that, but the writing is top class and the artwork is too. Easily one of the best comic series in the past few years. Another very nice part of this volume is that it doesn't contain any Marvel events or the like, it's completely self contained and that means you can read it from start to finish without any detours.

100% agree with this. One of the best, most gripping series I've read in years, and super easy to get into.
