Jonathan Davis of KoRN fame has been announced. Along with Jimmy Eat World, Chris Cornell, Job for a Cowboy and 36 Crazyfists.
Download is fucking awesome this year. Fuck any earlier doubt, it's getting stacked.

I totally got my ass relegated on the last day of the season
It was me or Wigan, both equal on points but they had a much better goal difference than me (I play to win dammit!). I had to play everton (who finished about 6th) they had to play Watford (who finished bottom, with 8 points). Wigan won, I lost 4-0.
Then the Everton chairman laughed at me when I said I'd be interested in the soon-to-be-vacant Everton managers job.
The fucker.

So, does anyody still play this online?
If you do, add me on PS3 - LaidToWaste

I got thrashed 4-0 by Villa, so I decided on a bit of a rethink.
Changed back to a more familiar 4-4-2 (but with 3 in the middle, no wingers, and Giles Barnes playing just behind the 2 strikers). Also put Miller back up front with Earnshaw.
Beat Portsmouth 2-0, Earnshaw bagged 'em both. He's an animal.
-
Miller went about 13 games last season without a goal while Earnshaw was banging 'em in from all angles.
If Miller is a machine, Earnshaw is a cyborg ninja.

Just finished my first season as the mighty Derby County.
13th place in the premiership (not bad i thought, considering I bought nobody in, and had to sell David Jones, who was my best player at the time).
Anyway, the board loved it, and gave me a £15m transfer fund for my second year.
I've bought in Denilson from Arsenal, George Boateng from Middlesbrough and Nicky Butt from Newcastle.
I now have a solid midfield, but to cater for all my guys (I've had Giles Barnes turn into a world class midfield maestro worth about £10m) I've had to change to a fancy 4-5-1 formation, so that's gonna take some playing around with to get my tactics right. Also, leaving Earnshaw upfront on his own isn't working out too well so far.
I'm currently sitting in mid table after 7 games of my second year, just waiting for the transfer winow to open now so I can bring in some defenders.

I finished it a week or so ago, and it was awesome.
I can honestly say it's the most fun I've had with a game since Gears of War. Easily the best PS3 game out there atm.
I then traded it on for Guitar Hero 3.

Yeah, I was just about to say Teen Agent.
I only know this because I spent aaaaaaages trying to get it to work on my old PC a few years ago. Totally not worth it

I am LaidToWaste
I have Resistance (which I suck at) and will be getting COD4 and RSV within the next few days.
Feel free to add me.
-
I think I'm gonna go and buy this today, but don't really know what format to get it on.
Is there any real difference between the PS3 and 360 versions?

- Mass Effect
- Super Mario Galaxy
- Zelda - Twilight Princess (that was released last december right?)
- Zelda - Phantom Hourglass.
- Assassins Creed
- Crackdown
- Skate
- Guitar Hero III
- Super Paper Mario
- Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition
Probably forgot a load of ace games, and the top 3 are all awesome so it was hard to choose.

"Neon Handshake" by Hell Is For Heroes > *
Awesome album, another soundtrack to my 6th form days. And hellisforheroes hold the distinction of being the first band I ever saw live, in support of Murderdolls and Papa Roach at Birmingham Academy in 2002.

It is decent, but I honestly prefer 'Say Hello to Sunshine'.
'Ravenous' is the sex.

I don't buy into the "you're not talented if you don't write your own material" argument; Elvis never wrote his own songs, Sinatra didn't write his own material, hundreds of generations of folk singers get by singing what they didn't write, anyone playing classical music isn't playing something they wrote, some of the greatest singles ever released have been cover versions....do I need to go on?
If the music's good, I couldn't give a fuck if they wrote it or not.
Case in point, using your examples: Linkin Park are dreadful, but they play their own instruments and write their own songs. Justin Timberlake doesn't write his own songs (he might do for all I know, I haven't a clue) or "play his own instruments" (again, I've no idea if that's true or not), but (when he's not trying to be a hip hop or rap artist) makes perfectly listenable pop music.
EDIT: A quick Wikipedia would suggest that Justin Timberlake at least co-writes plenty of his own songs, so that argument's pointless anyway then, isn't it?

I listen to 90% of stuff on my iPod.
Inspiration for new stuff sprouts mostly from checking out band news and stuff and hearing other bands mentioned.
I also like to check out bands I've never heard of, but have interesting names.

Seriously, the PS3 has nothing on the 360 right now, and I can't see that changing anytime soon.
With the exception of MGS and the possibility of a new FF, what else is coming to PS3 that won't be on 360?
-
Yeah, Musicmatch has always sucked.
My friend swears by it, the poor misguided fool.

Definitely agree with Cash's version of Hurt, as I think everybody would.
I think Daryl Palumbo really puts some heart into his vocals (well, in Glassjaw anyway, HA doesn't really call for it as much).
Also, Conor Oberst, and I don't care what anybody else says, he has an emotive voice.

6/10 - some decent tunes, but my hatred for metallica brings it down a notch.
Rice Pudding - Sufjan Stevens
Crown of the Valley - Jets to Brazil
The Art of American Football - Funeral for a Friend
Wearing Thin - Further Seems Forever
MacGyver - Million Dead
Faithless is He Who Says Farewell When the Road Darkens - Shai Hulud
Image is Nothing, Lobsters are Everything - Reggie and the Full Effect
Welcome the Night - The Ataris
The Shotgun Message - Norma Jean
Happy Birthday to me (Feb 15th) - Bright Eyes

I've been a Playstation fanboy for years, since the original PS was released. I was excited for the PS3, and ignored the Xbox 360 for ages (having had an original Xbox and being somewhat unimpressed).
Then the PS3 went tits up in all kinds of spectacular ways, and I took a punt on a 360.
Best idea I ever had. The 360 is the king of this generation for serious gamers, I think the PS3 has had such a faltering start that I can't see it catching up.
I'd buy a 360, then by the time the PS3 catches it's stride in a year or so (or if it ever does), you can get one of them too.

I've clocked up about 20 hours of Mass Effect in the last 3 days, which is a hell of a lot considering my uni assignment has to be in on the 4th and I've barely even started it :ohwell:
-
It's really nowhere near as difficult as it sounds.
Providing you're online the Xbox does everything for you, you just need to make sure the game you want to play is on the backwards compatible list.
-
I played yesterday for 6 hours (I have no idea where the time went) and passed the citadel without incident.
I would imagine if all your other games work fine, then it might just be your ME disc, try taking it back and swapping it.
