  1. My first legendary KOTR, I thought yay free Epic for doing nothing. When I was like 2-19 or whatever, they decide to change the rewards. No Epic.
My second legendary KOTR, four guys finish in joint 6th place. Of course the other three guys qualify and I don't. No Epic
My third legendary KOTR, I was 1 win behind in the final game, and get network errors (my internet was fine) when trying to apply energy cards, lose the game and don't qualify. Game recap shows I would've won and been joint 8th, though the same as above would've happened no doubt. No Epic.

So I joined Epic KOTR, am currently 20-2. My name in the game is BOB DOLE, and my only two losses have been to Bill Clinton

  2. Career mode isn't that good, but still having a lot of fun because the match engine is really good. Since I got out of NXT I don't think I've had one match that feels the same. Just added top rope dives, outside dives and leverage pin to my guy so that'll help keep it fresh too. Game seems like a great base to build on. Hopefully they mainly focus on the create modes for next year with smaller improvements to other areas. I'm usually bored of the gameplay in WWE games by now since like '07.

In career doing a triple threat against Rusev and Baron Blade. I whipped Rusev in the corner, then did the same to Blade so he's resting on him, then tried to grapple them, but Blade countered and now I'm just sleeping on Rusev in the corner while Blade walks two steps forward and two steps back over and over and over. All I can do is quit and lose the match :/

Also are weight detection moves supposed to replace ALL the moves in that category? I have simple attack moves that require no lifting or anything but even they get replaced. Does that happen to anyone else?

Could you not just set your move set so that the same moves are set as the replacements. Seems a little tedious but it should work.

Yeah I did that when I first made it. A move similar to a fame-asser (where you hit him in the gut, run off the ropes, leapfrog over his back into a legdrop bulldog type move) shouldn't need replacing with a neckbreaker. Just turned off weight detection for career mode and I'll put it back on when using in-game guys.

  3. PCC rewards seem to be the best yet actually. An UR pair and support for finishing in the top 70k? I think it was like top 40k for Warrior and Rude last time. A pair of Epic's seems doable for the first time ever for me.

  5. I've seen some absolutely brilliant CAW's of guys that wouldn't be super easy to make... so what I read is "I don't know how to make this work, so it's stupid".

I can make pretty good CAWs, last CAW I made was on '13, but still, it's not a case of me not being able to make it work, it's things wrong with the game. Fairly little things, but fucking annoying little things.

Any logo's/designs/textures resetting every time you edit them is stupid. If I want to move something a millimetre to the left I have to completely redo it as it returns to its default position, colour and size. What's the point in even allowing you to edit placed designs if that's the case? Greys with green tint is stupid (they look fine, until you accept, then change). Only thing I was wrong about was call names which I didn't notice.

In fact it's nowhere near a case of "don't know how to make this work"... so what I read is "I don't know how to properly comprehend what this guy said and just wanted to make a snarky comment".

  6. Christ even edit a superstar is shit. Unless you wanna make something simple like Corporate Kane... oh wait: http://i.imgur.com/dINBEVJ.png.

Spent a while on Seth, first got his vest texture done nicely at about 150 transparency (all the ones online are 255 and look silly), then I tried to give him a body hair texture I made, but nope, can't do that... that's not such a big deal, so I worked on getting his tights perfect with all the different shades of grey with the lines and belt and shit (like this). That took a while, but couldn't even be done properly because the greys all have a green tint to them. Then I noticed his vest texture had reset and was too apparent, tried to edit it and the size/placement reset too, placed it back how it was and put the transparency back at 150, but now it's just sat on top of the original of the one I'm editing, so the transparency does nothing because the one that shouldn't even be there anymore is there and still fully visible. Basically it duplicated itself, but in edit layers there is only one so can't do anything about it... and to top it all off when I thought fuck it it'll have to do, I checked his details and now he's known as The Superstar! Announce name Seth Roland and commentary name The Future is the best you can get.

Lame as hell, half-assed mode. What a fucking waste of time.

  7. Is it the same morphing system that's in NBA 2k15? 'Cause that ish got old fast.

Dunno what NBA is like, but it's a simple x/y system. Can't morph depth, head shape, or even make necks wide enough to make a guy like Goldberg :s

  8. Just played the first HBK/HHH showcase match, and laughed my ass off when he pulled out the sledgehammer. Some aspects of this game are hard to distinguish from real life, and some look worse than early PS2 games.

Haven't seen one CAW that is good all round yet. Seen a couple with good faces, a few with good attires, but there's always something that makes me not want them. Even all the Seth edits have something off about them, whether it's the shading of his tights being too dark, or textures on his top being too apparent. Him not having body hair irks me too, gonna have to try texture some and make him myself. I don't expect five star CAWs with the god awful morphing system (why couldn't they just use sliders?), but the edits have gotta be spot on to justify using up a space.

  9. I hear that WWE2K15 doesn't have Steve Blackman in it, even though WWE SmackDown! Just Bring It had him in the game.

They're obviously screwing the consumer over by not having content that was in a previous game.

    Oh it will have.

  10. I'd rather they cut the buggy, shitty features that add very little to the game and have never worked properly and put out a game that's fully functional, has more replay value, and is generally better than what they've given us the past few years, rather than keeping all the stuff like Create A Finisher and a hideously repetitive "Universe Mode" in there out of fear that people who are almost definitely buying the game regardless might complain about it getting removed. Did people complain when they removed the utterly pointless "Create a PPV" mode? I bet they did.

Universe Mode has been improved so you can now apply over 800 (I think that's what I read) storylines to the rivalries you have set up, so it won't be the same old shit over and over.

I'm sure CAF will be back when they make it better. 2K have done a LOT more good with this game (on Xbone/PS4) than bad.

Shit thought it automically added posts on the end of the last one, my bad.

  11. The biggest problem with games coming out with less features on the current-gen systems isn't that they have less features. It's that there is no communication as to the why's and how's of the situation, and when there is, it's way too vague. There needs to be more transparency from the developers about what's happening.

There's a rumor going around that editing superstars will take up a CAW slot, and I've seen several people claim that it's been verified by 2K... however, in the same Q & A that everyone is taking this from as fact, it was never stated that it was the case. I've tweeted out to 2K asking for verification one way or the other, but it's amazing how some people take these rumors as fact without any actual proof. I've yet to see anyone post the quoted response where 2K said that was the case... and yet everyone is still losing their shit about it.

If it's true, it's a total bummer... but it's still not NHL 15 levels of bad.

    http://forums.2k.com/showthread.php?800491-Only-25-CAW-slots-on-current-gen&p=7176461#post7176461

"Yes, they do. They are treated like a CAS because they are an entirely new instance of the character. They can be used as an alternate attire or they can be used as an entirely new CAS. It takes more space to save out entirely new outfits, that's why alternate attires are treated as CAS.

Concerning the 25 slots, the fidelity of the characters are much higher than previous generations. Characters look much closer to our actual Superstars than ever before. The size of the characters are HUGE. We're going to continue to look at ways to compress, but we pushed it to the limit this year. The longer that we get more familiar with this new hardware, the more we'll find (like every developer). "

  12. If the CAWs look more like in-game superstars, then 25 slots is alright for me. Would've like 50, but eh it's not like I ever played as the random Al Snow or Darren Young caws I downloaded on WWE 13 just to fill up the 50.

    5 for in-game superstar updates

    10 for NXT/WWE roster updates

    10 for legends/others

I can just replace anyone I'm not using and re-download them again. If you want an extensive WCW/ECW/TNA/retro/Japan/original caw universe, then you're screwed, but thankfully that's not me.

Game looks really good for next-gen from what I've seen so far so I'm happy. Also new video on the improved creation suite is supposed to be coming today, hopefully it shows it in-depth.

  13. How long does it take everyone to level cards? It took me almost a week just to get the two Rare Paige's to a maxed Pro, so I could feed it to one of the SR Paige's. Trying to get SR Pro Paige maxed now. Then I've got a 2x UR Sandow's, 2x SR Lesnar's, 2x SR Wyatt's and an UR Undertaker that'll take me an absurd amount of time because it takes so damn long.
