I can't get into this season. It might just be the way it's now produced like a Netflix series with anti-climactic cliff hangers at the end of episodes, but it's all just meh.

The guy's clearly the best player they've had (in a player's prime mind you) in their franchise's history so why not make the man a little richer?

Please don't post anything from IMDB ever again if it's half as bad as that was.

Bosh looks more like a tranny to me.

Even though it's a series, I saw enough from Game 1 that I would be incredibly shocked if Miami didn't win it all.
Dallas can't out rebound or outscore Miami in a seven game series. Miami has two guys who are unstoppable on the offensive end and will get a favorable whistle the majority of the time while Dallas only has one.

If you didn't like that episode you clearly have anger management problems.

Do they have a Paedophilia Special?
Only in dreams.

I came across these guys on myspace, apparently it's a side project of the Stroke bassist and they're doing shows with the Raveonettes. Reminds me of Leonard Cohen, very surprising considering. http://www.myspace.com/officialnickeleye
Thoughts?

.I'm quite a fan of sixties garage and psychadelia, so there's always going to be some lost gem out there that I stumble across, but I can't think of any more "big name" acts I've only recently discovered a liking for, although I'm sure there are plenty.
Who says you only should mention big name acts?

Suggestion: Go buy E-40's new album "Ball Street Journal".

I'm a little surprised there's no thread yet for the new album...
So far I've heard the lead single and "Falling Down"(plus the remix by the Chemical Brothers), the original version of "Falling Down"(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nPad-nZqFmw) is the best out of the three songs.

I have been listening to the new The Academy Is... album, Fast Times At Barrington High. It is pretty good. Really enjoy Rumored Nights.
Have you checked out TAITV on their site yet? They have some amusing skits and what not.
Right now I'm listening to Enemy UK's "We'll Live and Die In These Towns" and Black Keys' "Strange Times".

I'm just curious what sites and blogs everyone uses to keep up to date with music news, concerts, etc. From what I've seen Pollstar is the best for upcoming show listings.

The only two so far I would agree with are "Seven Nation Army" and "Cochise". It's hard to see how well a song will age, maybe "All My Life" or "Bat Country". A lot of the songs mentioned like "Iron Man" are songs that beginner guitar players pick up a guitar to learn to play so I don't know that's something difficult to scope. The biggest rock song of this decade(in the US at least) probably has been "Boulevard of Broken Dreams".

Time for a blanket hip hop thread. Okay let's start with artists we <3. At the moment I'm really digging Murs,(If you aren't familiar with him Taleb Kwelli fans would probably like him, the man's tremendous and he has a new album coming out in September) the Roots, Taleb Kweli, and Estelle.
I had a Murs/Slug from Atmosphere album and it was pretty good. And he featured on a song with Aesop Rock that was really good as well, Murs = good.
Until the new Murs album comes out you can always check out his other stuff with Ninth Wonder(producer): Murs 3:16, Murray's Revenge, and Sweet Lord.
Lowerdeck, if you like Nas, Murs might be worth at least looking up on myspace.

The funny thing is the whole Metallica catalog is now available on the legal subscription service that's now called Napster.
Edit: Love the new song and I like Load and Reload.

I'd put "Wide Awake" or "Nothing Left To Say But Goodbye" from Revelations on a best of Audioslave list before the title track and probably even "Original Fire".
