I agree with Beatnik.
This show has turned unbelievable. Not unfunny, mind you, but unbelievable. The characters portrayed by everyone started out as nods to people that you interact with in your everyday life. Now in season three(sometimes in season two even) all of the characters have turned into caricatures of themselves.

Yeah sure NIN has always done concept albums but yeah as Zero said MCR idolize Green Day so that's obviously not a coincidence. Besides NIN what major rock act has done a concept album the past fifteen years before Green Day? Just because you don't like Green Day doesn't mean you can't give credit to a band that has obviously influenced a lot of rock acts and the albums they've made since they released "American Idiot" in 2004. While "American Idiot" isn't the definitive "Nevermind" of the 90's if they ever did a Behind the Music for this decade their album would have to be given a segment.
The Mars Volta, The Flaming Lips, Coheed & Cambria, Alice In Chains, and Dream Theater have all released concept albums within 15 years of Green Day's "American Idiot," and those are just the most mainstream bands I can think of off the top of my head. I would guess that in the 15 years before American Idiot came out, hundreds of concept albums have been released. And the only reason I can think of that someone would say "besides NIN" is because NIN is an excellent example with which to counter the argument you present. While it may be true that My Chemical Romance released a concept album because of Green Day's success, to suggest that concept albums are being created today because of Green Day is an incredibly reductionist and flawed viewpoint.
The only band mentioned there that's a mainstream rock band in the US would be Alice In Chains. I'm saying Green Day revilitized the concept of the concept album in this decade. Really how many of those albums you mentioned are platinum?

I know Green Day didn't invent the concept album, but they revitilized the concept album and made it almost a trend. Do you really think it's a coincidence that My Chemical Romance's latest album was a concept album?
-
The biggest album so far to me has been "American Idiot". The amount of concept albums in the works and released by major rpck artists (MCR, Nine Inch Nails, Velvet Revolver, and probably more coming) since Green Day released their album makes me believe it has had to me the most obvious influence to other albums of this decade.

The only funny part was literally the last second of the show. The show is pretty hit or miss. I understand the whole lice scenes were making fun of dramatic cliches but if you're going to make fun of dramas like that you can't be as boring as the shows or movies you're making fun of.

The Texans could have Tom Brady taking snaps and they would still fail miserably with that pathetic offensive line. I know it's been said here but God damn.
And I like the Broncos offseason even though Plummer was unfairly benched last season.

Dave Chapelle, Dave Attell(sp?), Patton Oswalt, Jim Gaffigan(minus the whole other voice thing he does that's annoying, a lot of funnier before he started doing that a few years ago), Rodney Dangerfield, Jim Norton, Richard Pryor, Chris Rock, etc.

The best episode in recent memory to me is the one with Towelee on Oprah.

I really don't think any of those characters you mentioned are underused.

How does Dragsy not get warned for saying something that fucking stupid?

Speaking of Bono... Bono. I want to break those big stupid sunglasses he wears in half then gouge his eyes out with them.

I just think the Raiders can be the Titans(who were at least playoff contenders after having the #3 overall pick before the season started) of this year with a running back at the cailber of Travis Henry and a sold line. Sure having a great coach in Jeff Fisher helped but no one has any idea how good of a coach Kiffin is, but he can't be any worse than Norv Turner was for Oakland.
Any reason as to why you think the Raiders will do what the Titans did? The Titans were able to accomplish what they did largely due to having Vince Young. The Raiders don't even have a starting QB at this point and even if they draft Russell or Quinn, neither of them match up to Vince Young. I'll admit, I was a Vince Young skeptic because I didn't think he was NFL ready, but he was and has become the leader of that team in his first year (barring maybe Keith Bullock). I just don't see the Raiders eeding to have the mindset that they need to make the playoffs this year because they don't. They just need to win more than 2 games and it'll be a start.

Wow never saw that video before on Fuse or anything. Thank you.
-
And why do you have to have a number 1 back? The last four teams left in the post-season last year all had a two-back system, so I think it's obvious you can succeed without a true #1.
-
Why does the site say its the fifth single off their album? So far theyve released Dani California, Tell me Baby, Snow(Hey Oh), and now this. Am I missing something?

No, they don't. A team aiming for the postseason needs a thousand-yard back, Oakland is just aiming not be last in offense this year.
-
Ok but to open up the offense for Russell(if they draft him like expected) they need a #1 back and right now they don't have one. I don't watch college ball but from what I've heard this isn't a good draft for backs. Sure Rhodes is a decent back but they need someone who has a chance of running for a thousand yards this season and I don't think Jordan can do that next season either.
-
Sure Rhodes is better than Oakland's previous back up RB but really that's not hard to top. Rhodes' aside from the Super Bowl had only one other good game the entire year while splitting carries with Addai. We shall see though next year I'll eat my words if Rhodes has a good year in Oakland but don't hold your breath guys.
-
Is it not a little retarded to be insulting the Raiders for making a good signing?
-
You know Al Davis decided on Rhodes after only watching his one game at the Super Bowl(the first game of the season where his old ass didn't fall asleep after the first quarter).
-
I didn't think that Warcraft episode was funny(Never played the game though). The "words are like bullets" thing was the only thing I found funny in the last episode.
"Zeitgeist" Discussion.

Thanks Captain for the link. The vocal mix could be better, but that song is great.
