  1. Hmm, pretty much the only albums I got from 2007 were these few, and I really liked them all.

Omar Rodriquez-Lopez - Se Dice Bisonte, No Bufalo

Omar Rodriquez-Lopez - Calibarion (released in Japan)

Queens of the Stone Age - Era Vulgaris

    Foo Fighters - E,S,P&G

    White Stripes - Icky Thump

I've been meaning to get the new Motion City Soundtrack album as well, so I think I might get that. And also the new Streetlight Manifesto album, because YI made it sound good, and I didn't even know they had a new album out.

  2. My gamertag is ep1c420, right now I only have Halo 3 and Timeshift, but come Christmas I should have Rock Band and COD4.

So add me if you wanna play some Halo 3.

(ps, just a suggestion, maybe the main post could be updated with the games each person plays live. i've seen that done on other forums, and it helps so you can add people who actually play the same games as you.)

  3. I haven't heard any new 2007 stuff yet, but what I'm really looking forward to this year is The Mars Volta's 4th LP, and the new Queens of the Stone Age (which I didn't know about until this thread, now I'm excited :) )

  4. Yeah, the hammer on system is much better in guitar hero 2

I've been playing guitar hero 2 lately because my friend borrowed it from someone, we beat the career on medium which wasn't too hard... but we got kinda stuck on hard, but we're getting better.

I gotta say though, that game is alot more fun blazed... I'm much better at it haha.

  5. Yeah, Omar does way too much "noodling" on Amputechture, as most people put it. Recently though he's been stopping that, so that leaves hope for the 4th LP. Frances is good, but only if you're into long prog-rock jams basically. De-Loused is amazing, not all long songs, and songs are more structured instead of just jams.

  6. Oh shit, a new Mars Volta bootleg is out from their show the other day. It's amazing, I'll link if anyone wants it. The new drummer is amazing, and the setlist is fantastic:

    Rapid Fire Tollbooth

    Roulette Dares

    Cygnus... Vismund Cygnus

    Viscera Eyes

    New Song

    Drunkship of Lanterns

    Vermicide

    Tetragrammaton

    Cicatriz ESP

    Meccamputechture

    Day of the Baphomets

So yeah, if anyone wants the boot, let me know. I'm glad they're touring again, and their new drummer is awesome, and they've got kickass setlists.

  7. That looks like a pretty awesome festival. The only bands I'd really wanna see are Pearl Jam (I've seen them but it'd be awesome to see them again), Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Queens of the Stone Age, Beastie Boys, and a few others slightly.... but I'd go just for them.

  8. It's because Desecration Smile was released as a single on in Europe, and now Hump de Bump is released as a single in North America. I have no idea why.

Tell Me Baby was my first favorite song off SA, but that was only when I heard the bootlegs from teh show they played in Vegas, which was only a few new songs. Now my favorite is Wet Sand - such an amazing song.

Also, Charlie is going to be their next single. They're having a contest for the music video. Any fan can create a video for the song and submit it in the YouTube contest page, and the Chilis will pick their favorite to be the official Charlie music video. If anyone's interested, check out the official site - http://www.redhotchilipeppers.com

  9. You should try finding videos of their shows from like, 2003-ish... you can tell there how amazing their stage presence is. But lately, it's been lacking. But it's hard to radiate good energy when everyone in the crowd isn't paying attention because they're just waiting for the Red Hot Chili Peppers to come on.

  10. My all-time favorite album now is probably Stadium Arcadium by Red Hot Chili Peppers... it has it's weak spots, but the amazingness of all the good songs makes up for it.

Other favorites that come pretty close are Blood Sugar Sex Magik by RHCP, De-Loused in the Comatorium by The Mars Volta, Are You Experienced? by the Jimi Hendrix Experience, and Shadows Collide with People by John Frusciante

  11. I get chills every concert I go to. Most notably though was Red Hot Chili Peppers though. Everytime they would start a song I'd get chills. Throughout all the song's I'd have chills. It was crazy.

I got some chills during some of the crazy Mars Volta jams too.
