  1. Shonie Carter just officially announced his retirement following his Isreal FC fight.

Carter and Hermes Franca were the only big names to lose on that card. Trigg, Sokoudjou, Monson and Ricco all won with ease.

And Minowaman beat a fat guy over in Asia somewhere.

I was proud to be in attendence for that event in the Nokia Arena, and here's some thoughts about the matches:

Roy Peretz defeated Fabric Riconneau via submission (arm-triangle choke) at 3:00 of round 1: Well, that was a surprise, as I was sure that the frenchman would win this with ease...... but about 1:30 minutes in the match Peretz had some luck and almost lock Fabric in a leg-lock, but after about 30 seconds of trying to lock it up he failed, Fabric tried to pull off something but couldn't do it and there was the triangle wich gave Roy Peretz the victory.

Ido Pariente defeated Jousa Hewlett via submisson (armbar) at 2:54 of round 1: I can see why it's preliminary, but I was hoping they would give Ido Pariente(The biggest MMA name in Israel) a more worthy opponent...

Vitali Krbrsky defeated Serob Minasyan via Unanimous Decision: It was a meh fight.

Thiago Meller defeated Ariel Abergel via submission (armbar) at 0:35 of round 1: It was amazing, I could swear that Thiago Meller was flying for a good half of the (very short) fight.

Alexandro Ceconi defeated Vitaly Shemetov via submission (triangle choke) at 4:48 of round 1: A nice match, nothing more and nothing less.

Jeremy Knafo defeated Shonie Carter via Unanimous Decision. Shonie Carter announced his retirement after this fight: A FOTN candidate, and the speech Carter gave afterwards had lots of emotion in it, and before he announced his retirement, he said and I qoute "I was scared the motherfucker to come here, but for the past few days I had seen nothing but great people and some beutifull lands, and all I can now say is FUCK C-N-N", and that concludes :D

Daniel Gracie defeated Martin Wojcik via submission (rear naked choke) at 2:17 of round 1: A very nice match, but you could see that a Gracie is, after all, a Gracie, and that's mostly what iv'e seen in this fight.

Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou defeated Valdas Pocevicius via Unanimous Decision: Absolutely, with no doubt, and no change in mind - THE WORST MMA FIGHT OF ALL TIME. The number of hits tried I could count with my 2 bare hands(and didn't need all 10 fingers), and the number of hits that actually hits? maybe 2-3, no more, but could be less.

Moshe Kaitz defeated Hermes Franca via Unanimous Decision: Another FOTN candidate, I couldn't belive my eyes when Kaitz dominated the first round and most of the second round untill Franca started to claim some dominance in the last minute of the 2nd round and the 3rd round, but it wasn't enough.

Frank Trigg defeated Roy Ne'eman via TKO (punches) at 2:36 of round 1: Well, this one was a sure-thing, but it was still nice to see Trigg in Israel.

Jeff Monson defeated Sergey Shemetov via submission (kimura) at 4:09 of round 1: Well, exactly like the Trigg-Ne'eman fight...

Ricco Rodriguez defeated Daniel Tabera via Unanimous Decision: A meh match, but the golden moment of the evening is Daniel Tabera entering with the macarena :D

  2. It's not directly about UFC, but former UFC fighter and champpion Hermes Franca lost to an Israeli fighter called Moshe Kaitz. In that same event, Israeli fighter Jeremy Knafo defeated Shonie Carter, who after that announced that it was probably his last fight, but 2 Israeli fighters who lost were Roy Ne'eman to Frank Trigg and Ariel Abargl to Thiago Meller.

That event took place at the Nokia Stadium in Tel-Aviv, Israel.

  3. In my Barca game Gerard Pique always tried to score a goal and never succeeded, not long kick, short kicks, headers, rebounds, none.... and then after about 10 matches he finally scored against Athletic Bilbao and since then for the next 3-4 matches he scored every match..... somebody needed an opener here....

  4. But still, I think that Hogan, Bischoff, Jarrett and Hardy need to turn heel, mayber chabge both Hogan and Bischoff's gimmicks to "Evil Boss", Jarrett's to.... well, I don't really know what to, but Hardy's gimmick should probably be "Evil"(depends on iMPACT!), but add these 4 to a stable with Abyss called "THEY", with maybe Hogan/Abyss as a leader(??)

  5. What exactly is it going to take for a Scottish club to be consistently decent in Europe?

Not saying actually going on to win or anything crazy like that, just a decent run every now and then, something for the poor ole Scots to get excited about.

In the last ten years we have had two different teams in a major European final. Both Celtic and Rangers have reached the last 16 in the Champions League. Celtic have beat Lyon, Juventus, Porto, Man United, Milan, Villareal, Valencia, Liverpool and Barcelona. Rangers have beat Monaco, Porto, Lyon, Stuttgart, Werder Bremen, Sporting Lisbon and Fiorentina. Hearts have beat Stuttgart and Bordeaux. Aberdeen have drew with Bayern Munich.

Seriously we may not have good consistent runs every year, but go and find a country with 5 million residents who have had as many good nights in Europe in the last ten years as we have. I'm sure you will be struggling.

Although when it does come about, it makes it even more special. I don't know what it's like to support a team who make it through to the semi-finals of a European competition every year, who complain if they don't win the thing. I remember watching Kilmarnock get hammered by Kaiserslautern (including a top of his game Youri Djorkaeff) and thinking it doesn't get much better than this. 13 years on we still have a great bond with Kaiserslautern fans, all because we know that these European days are very special and very rare around these parts and we make the most of it when it does come about.

You are so right, you people don't need to be disappointed, you have some good teams, it's not like you live here in Israel, when our representative in Europe as of this season is a team wich if you don't count their 20,000 fans..... the whole nation hates this team! And i'm talking about almost 7 million people! The only really great european moment Israel had in the last 10 years is back in 2002 when Maccabi Haifa beat Manchester United 3-0!!

  6. As an israeli Barcelona/Maccabi Haifa fan, I hope that the israeli team of Hapoel Tel Aviv gets the best teams she can get.... and why? because I f'n hate that team and hope they will score 0 points and 0 goals, just so they can feel how I felt when we lost to Bayren, Juventus and this french team whose name in english I cant spell......

  9. Okay................. so after seeing what Tootles gave.......... so i'll give some backstory for IPWA....

    Image: 74

    Risk: 70%

    Production/Advertising/Merchandise: 80/90/72

    Money: 200,000,000

    Opened: 1991

Backgrund: Opening it's doors in mid 1991 in Israel as "Israeli Pro Wrestling Association", IPWA was a big player in Israel, mainly because of this being the ONLY wrestling federation in Israel, taking from fans only 30 N.I.S at the entrance for their shows, wich is about les then 15$. Threw it's first 5 years, the IPWA had only four shows per year, "Passover Bash" at.... your'e right, Passover, "Sukkot Brawl" at Sukkot, "Hannukkah Classic" wich took place at Hannukkah, "Summer Splash", wich took place mid-summer, between the months of July-August, plus, was their first ever event. In these years, IPWA created the soon to be legends, including "Mr. Israeli Pro Wrestling" Gery Roif, Doron "The Teacher" Degani, the IPWA evil GM Rom Unger, Ben "Ice Man" Rosin, Hawaii Allen, and of course, there future franchise player, the always fast, always strong, and for ever lethal - Yossi The Bull, who slowly came up the card, finishing everyone with the Bull's Sight, wich could also be called the spear. In June '96, the IPWA began running monthly shows, including their 4 big events, while the others being a series of events called Maccabi Wrestling(Same as IYH), and until the year of 2000, IPWA made some new names, between these names there are comedy charecters such as Eyal Smiley, "The Russian Scythe" Evgeny Lyder, The Style, B-Boy Adrenaline, plus evil charecters like Sycko D, Hous P, and Sharon "Bully" Palty, and fan favorites like The Black Leopard, Idan Boulder, and much more!

In the year of 2000, the IPWA owner Gery Roif opened an academy for young teens who wanted to train and become wrestlers when they turn 16, and the first group that came consisted of the soon to be all around stars, such as Maor Ilan, Idan Shenkar, Shay Menahem and more. In April 2005, Israel was shocked when their top player at the time, Hawaii Allen, left for the american wrestling federation Big Time Wrestling, but Gery Roif had a wish for retaliation. He immediately moved the entire fed to the USA, right away signing television deals for weekly shows to air Primetime in both Israel and USA, on the Israeli-turned-global channel EGO Total, stopped the Maccabi Wrestling shows, and made it into an annual event, taking place in November. Plus, "Summer Splash" became the second biggest show, taking place officialy mid-July, with the newly added September show "Wrestle Palooza" becoming the big event. By 2008 the IPWA(renamed the "I" from "Israeli" to "International", with more and more wrestlers from all the world coming into the federation, having the IPWA with now up to about 50 wrestlers. But, the Israeli wrestlers started in storyline to feel disrespected for building to company from the bottom to almost the top, so they started turning on the othr wrestlers, until the younger israelis realised that they have no chance at gaining redemption over what they consider "foreigns" and came to the elder ones to start the "Middle Eastern Invasion", why Middle Eastern and not Israeli? JUST BECAUSE! Middle Eastern sound more threatning, haha, and so April of 2009 would mark the start of the best, biggest, and most dominant stable that IPWA in particular and the world of wrestling in general has ever seen!

The wrestlers I said here and haven't given stats for yet are: Maor Aaiom, Guy Landau, Evgeny Lyder, Mr. L, Gery Roif, Killer Degani.

I will give stats for these later, when I can think of stats for them.

But meanwhile, put the 2 I already gave in a stable called Middle Eastern Kings.

Tag Team between Argaman and Menahem called "The Secret Agency" with 20 exp and make it inactive.

  12. Maybe you can try putting a few more workers who haven't wrestled YET at that time, but were born before 1980?(Like, put Edge in the data as a little baby(xd had to) with his real name, and when he turn 18, he will enter the game world as a young wrestler, and yeah, I said 1980 because that's the earliest the computer can go to).

But I will check it out later.

  13. I don't know Rose or Singh, but I have seen alot of Ray Gonzalez in IWA-PR back in 2003-2005, and if I can judge by these years then his stats would be:

    Over: Whatever you decide.

    Brawl: High 40's

    Speed: Low 30's

    Technical: low 50's

    Charisma: About 60-64

Tick either Superstar Looks/Fonz Factor, not really sure wich one.
