  1. The thing that doesn't look promising is the developers of the game used to be known as Paradox Development, the people behind the awful Backyard Wrestling series. We can only hope this turns out better

Slipping under my radar, earlier this year a pair ski jumping game with homoerotic overtones made its way to the PS2. Called Ski Jump Pair: Reloaded, the title is totally real. I mean, Famitsu mentioned it, so it must be...

The game is from the popular Ski Jump Pair DVD series, which usually feature two men doing amazing, death defying ski jump tricks—such as holding each other in mid-air. The gay-for-pay Razor Ramon HG makes a no-brain appearance. This isn't a dude-only affair, however, as players can also select female ice skaters. Game play can be two-on-one as in two-players on one PS2 controller.

  3. I already got my XBOX 360, and I'll probably get Wii to go with it

The PS3 has Metal Gear Solid & Final Fantasy, that's about it. Not worth $650 CDN, maybe when it's down in the $200-$300 price range in 2 or 3 years I'll consider one, but at the current price tag the price of a Wii and 360 combined will only be about a hundred more then a PS3

  4. Buy them for RPGs mostly, for all other games I think they are wastesw, I might read an online one for he odd puzzle in an adventure game if I get really stuck and keep dying but I would never buy one for an adventure game.

  5. MLB 2k6 (XBOX 360)

Rented it from Blockbuster, it's ok but there are LOTS of glitches and it's hard as hell after playing MVP the last few years.

    Burnout Revenge (XBOX 360)

Got it with MLB 2k6, I need an HDTV as really there is no difference for me between this and the XBOX version, at least I get more achievements.

    ICO (PS2)

Picked it up for $5, awesome but short game as I'm almost a 3/4 of the way through with only 2 hours of gameplay.

    Baseball Mogul 2007 (PC)

Much better then 2006, the new features are great, things that the game has needed for a while now like seperate lineups for LHP and RHP, as well as a good play by play system. Other then that and a few other minor differences though it's just 2006 with a more colourful look, at least I didn't pay anything for it.

  6. REDMOND, Wash., May 4 /PRNewswire/ — Millions of people around the world

already enjoy playing Nintendo DS, and the system’s future looks even

brighter. On June 11, Nintendo DS Lite joins Nintendo’s video game family

when it launches in the Americas. The lighter, brighter version of the

hot-selling Nintendo DS is expected to be priced as low as $129.99 at

retailers throughout the United States. The inaugural color is an elegant

Polar White with a raised DS logo on the cover.

Nintendo DS Lite arrives just in time for players to pop in the latest

version of one of the most storied franchises in video game history. New

Super Mario Bros.®, launching May 15, updates classic Mushroom Kingdom

action with new features and fun.

“DS Lite and New Super Mario Bros. represent a double shot of gaming

excellence,” says Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo of America’s executive vice

president of sales & marketing. “We’ve got something for both lovers of

beautiful, new gadgets and fans of old-school gaming.”

Nintendo DS Lite comes with a variety of distinctive changes that set it

apart from the original — and from all other hand-held video game systems:

    * It’s less than two-thirds the size of the original Nintendo DS and more

    than 20 percent lighter.

    * Its two bright screens can be adjusted to four levels to adapt to

different lighting conditions and to extend battery power.

    * The microphone sits in the center of the unit, and the LED lights are

clearly visible whether the unit is open or closed.

    * The stylus is 1 centimeter longer and 1 millimeter thicker than the

stylus of the original, and slides into a side storage slot.

    * The Start and Select buttons were repositioned for easier access.

    * A removable cover keeps the Game Boy® Advance cartridge slot clear

from dust and debris when it’s not in use.

New Super Mario Bros. is just one of the many Nintendo DS games that look

great on Nintendo DS Lite. Players set off on a side-scrolling platform

adventure bursting with the style and superb game play that got many people

hooked on video games in the first place. The Mushroom Kingdom is populated

with friends and foes, both new and old, and tons of power-ups, including

mushrooms that make Mario mega- and micro-sized. The Super Mario franchise

has sold more than 184 million games worldwide, which makes it one of the

top-selling video game franchises of all time.

Ever since its November 2004 launch, the original Nintendo DS has helped

to redefine perceptions of what constitutes a video game. Many systems have

been sold to people who are discovering video games for the first time.

Nintendo® Wi-Fi Connection, Nintendo’s wireless gaming service, has seen

more than 1 million connections worldwide. Thousands of people every day log

on to battle one another in Metroid® Prime Hunters or see who has all their

Tetriminos (falling blocks) in a row in Tetris® DS.

Nintendo DS continues to broaden the market for video games. Nintendo DS

has software that appeals to older gamers, hard-core gamers and even lapsed

gamers. Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day went on sale in the

United States on April 17 after encountering massive success in Japan.

Nintendo will continue that momentum by introducing two upcoming titles that

require more brain power than firepower. On June 5, Big Brain Academy

arrives to challenge users with a variety of mental tests designed to evaluate

various skills. Then on June 26, Sudoku Gridmaster will keep number crunchers

busy with more than 400 sudoku puzzles, each one sanctioned by the original

    creators of sudoku.

The worldwide innovator in the creation of interactive entertainment,

Nintendo Co., Ltd., of Kyoto, Japan, manufactures and markets hardware and

software for its Wii, Nintendo DS, Game Boy® Advance and Nintendo

GameCube systems. Since 1983, Nintendo has sold more than 2 billion video

games and more than 360 million hardware units globally, and has created

industry icons like Mario, Donkey Kong®, Metroid®, Zelda and

Pokemon®. A wholly owned subsidiary, Nintendo of America Inc., based in

Redmond, Wash., serves as headquarters for Nintendo’s operations in the

Western Hemisphere. For more information about Nintendo, visit the company’s

    Web site at www.nintendo.com.

  7. Beginning of the end for my beloved Blue Jays?

Burnett to have troublesome elbow examined

TORONTO -- The Toronto Blue Jays placed starter A.J. Burnett on the 15-day disabled list Saturday with a right elbow injury.

Burnett left his start against Boston on Friday night after four innings with soreness in his elbow. He will visit Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala., on Monday.

Andrews performed ligament replacement surgery on Burnett's elbow in 2003.

"It [pain in the elbow] came on pretty good in the fourth inning," Burnett said. "This really is frustrating for me. I feel about two inches tall. It's tough not to be able to go more than four innings."

Burnett said he's willing to miss a month to make sure he's OK.

"I want to make sure it is out of there for good. Whatever it is, there is a shark floating in there and we got to get it out," Burnett said.

Burnett, who signed a five-year, $55 million deal with the Blue Jays in the offseason after spending seven seasons with the Florida Marlins, began the season on the DL after scar tissue broke off in his elbow March 18 during spring training.

The Blue Jays are hoping it's just scar tissue this time, too.

"They don't seem to think it's anything structurally wrong," manager John Gibbons said. "He'll go see the guy who did the surgery. Hopefully, he'll get some reassurance from him. Until he sees him we won't know."

Burnett was a key piece of Toronto's offseason overhaul. The Blue Jays also added closer B.J. Ryan for $47 million over five years, signed catcher Bengie Molina and traded for slugger Troy Glaus and first baseman Lyle Overbay.

Pitching coach Brad Arnsberg noticed a drop in velocity in Friday's start.

"All of a sudden his velocity tapered," Arnsberg said. "I knew something wasn't right."

Arnsberg said they'll be extra careful with him.

"You've got to guard him with kid gloves. We did that the first time and felt good," Arnsberg said.

The Blue Jays recalled right-hander reliever Shawn Marcum from Triple-A Syracuse

  8. Can't wait for the movie, just based on what it is I have to see it.

The Simpsons is ok now, it has it's odd good show but it has it's odd bad show with most of them being average. It's no doubt that Season 3-8 is definently the best "era" though.

  9. Just to confirm Tony actually being dead even more, the Canadian preview for next week shows them putting a white sheet over Tony's body. Seriously, do they want to lower their ratings? Fuck Jack, Tony is the man. It just won't be the same without Tony. Tony's death was even more shocking then Edgar's death to me. Plus the way Kim's storyling ended it looks like she won't be back for good.

  10. I rented this, so far I'm 3 "hours" in.

Sound is completely awesome and so is the presentation. Voice Acting is some of the best from any game. Graphics are decent for a PS2 game. Story definently feels like a 24 storyling so far. And the gameplay is average, not great but it's playable. So far I wouldn't recommend buying it though just because in about an hour I have completed 3 "hours" of game time so the game is not very long and you probably can beat it in a rent(Thanks to blockbusters no late fees, I'll have this game for about a month so I will definently complete it)

Edit: I bought Fight Night R.3 but haven't had a chance to play that yet.
