To be fair, i rated him when he was with Sheff Utd but he never really got a chance to shine with us, most of his appearances were as a sub. I think he's a good Championship level player and he didn't seem too bad when he player in the Prem for Sheff U so i wish we gave him some more games. He'll probably go back out on loan or be sold off, we only recalled him because Darren Ferguson got sacked from Preston.

IIRC Stoke have only scored once from a throw-in this season. Our wingers, Pennant and Etherington, provide the assists for Kenwyne Jones now.

Stoke fan here. I don't think Stoke are the dirty, physical long ball specialists that everyone (in the media,at least) makes us out to be but i am disappointed that Tuncay wants away as i seem to rate him much higher than Pulis does. Still happy with the Demba Ba signing, i've heard positive things about him.

I'd love to beat the Toon in the replay now, an away day at the Emirates would be great.

My team, Stoke City, managed to pick up a 1-0 win over Cardiff today. Quite suprised actually i was just hoping for a draw as i think Cardiff are good side but i'm really happy with the 3 points.

Leeds United has been resold to former owner Ken Bates for an undisclosed sum.
The move comes five days after Leeds' administrators, KPMG, said they were selling the club because of a legal challenge from HM Revenue & Customs.
HM Revenue & Customs had mounted a legal bid to block Mr Bates' earlier attempt to buy back the club and give its creditors just 8p in every £1.
It is currently unknown how much of Leeds United's £35m debt Mr Bates now intends to pay off.
KPMG had earlier said that unless the club was able to leave administration, the Football League may not let it start the season.

It's not football season right now, begins in mid-August but when i was in the US in the spring they showed Champions League games on ESPN. I believe their is a Fox Soccer Channel too.

Stoke City fan here. Hoping that we can get promotion just need to sign a few players to strengthen the team and leave some money till Jan so we can add some more depth then. So wishful thinking says promoted teams from the Championship will be Watford, Charlton and the mighty Stoke.

Didn't catch any of the games but did a Rolando play for Portugal, he's a center-half. And if so, was he any good? Stoke are interested in him apparently.

I'd like to see either Andy Goldstein or Fenners replace him. But i'm gutted by this news, Lovejoy is great.

Viduka's been a decent goalscorer this season.

I have to second VerbalPuke's recommendation of The Cockney Rejects, one of my favourite punk bands. My favourite song of thiers is War On The Terraces.
Sham 69 are another one of my favourites, their songs are sort of chant-y. Check out Hersham Boys, Borstal Breakout, Hurry Up Harry and If The Kids Are United.
Just to name a few more bands - Angelic Upstarts, UK Subs, Skids, 4-Skins, Anti-Nowhere League and The Buzzcocks.

And the TV rights that someone else brought up. Imagine if the Astro's got relogated and replaced by the Toledo Mudhens or something. All of a sudden, baseball's losing out on broadcast money in a top 10 market? That's a LOT of revenue lost. And if they do keep showing Astros games, there's going to be a significant ratings drop because the level of competition isn't there. No longer are players seeing Pujols, David Wright, and Bonds...they're seeing players they don't know.

DiCaprio was a villian, as well as a protaganist, in The Man in the Iron Mask. However that was much earlier in his career and he's evolved a fair bit since then.
