  1. To be fair, i rated him when he was with Sheff Utd but he never really got a chance to shine with us, most of his appearances were as a sub. I think he's a good Championship level player and he didn't seem too bad when he player in the Prem for Sheff U so i wish we gave him some more games. He'll probably go back out on loan or be sold off, we only recalled him because Darren Ferguson got sacked from Preston.

  2. Stoke fan here. I don't think Stoke are the dirty, physical long ball specialists that everyone (in the media,at least) makes us out to be but i am disappointed that Tuncay wants away as i seem to rate him much higher than Pulis does. Still happy with the Demba Ba signing, i've heard positive things about him.

  3. Leeds United has been resold to former owner Ken Bates for an undisclosed sum.

The move comes five days after Leeds' administrators, KPMG, said they were selling the club because of a legal challenge from HM Revenue & Customs.

HM Revenue & Customs had mounted a legal bid to block Mr Bates' earlier attempt to buy back the club and give its creditors just 8p in every £1.

It is currently unknown how much of Leeds United's £35m debt Mr Bates now intends to pay off.

KPMG had earlier said that unless the club was able to leave administration, the Football League may not let it start the season.

  4. I have to second VerbalPuke's recommendation of The Cockney Rejects, one of my favourite punk bands. My favourite song of thiers is War On The Terraces.

Sham 69 are another one of my favourites, their songs are sort of chant-y. Check out Hersham Boys, Borstal Breakout, Hurry Up Harry and If The Kids Are United.

Just to name a few more bands - Angelic Upstarts, UK Subs, Skids, 4-Skins, Anti-Nowhere League and The Buzzcocks.

  5. And the TV rights that someone else brought up. Imagine if the Astro's got relogated and replaced by the Toledo Mudhens or something. All of a sudden, baseball's losing out on broadcast money in a top 10 market? That's a LOT of revenue lost. And if they do keep showing Astros games, there's going to be a significant ratings drop because the level of competition isn't there. No longer are players seeing Pujols, David Wright, and Bonds...they're seeing players they don't know.
