Wizards had the Cavs beat and then LeBron decided to have one of the top 10 plays of his entire career.

Cavs win in OT. Wiz have absolutely no bench outside of Oubre.

That was an incredible game and the Cavs pulling it out in OT with LeBron fouled out was great for the team. The Wizards may end up as the Cavs biggest threat in the East when it's all said and done.

  2. Cowboys aren't giving Zeke the ball enough and that INT was a prime example of why they need to. He's been playing great yet Dallas wants to pass the ball. I don't get it (and the score doesn't matter much yet, a TD there by Dallas would've made it a 1 possession game.)

  3. Warriors-Cavs is quickly becoming a hell of a rivalry, very fun game to watch and Kyrie comes up clutch again. Go Cavs!

Westbrook saying thank you Kyrie as he leaves the court. I love how much the rest of the NBA hates GS now.

  4. Terry Francona is the best in the world at what he does and he's proving it again this series...what a well managed game and a hell of a pitching effort by the 4 pitchers.

Kluber on the mound tomorrow and Miller available for 2-3 innings (he only threw 17 pitches tonight)....let's get this to a 3-1 lead!

See, by winning game three, I'd let Kluber rest tomorrow and pitch on Sunday. You've already got one win on the road. Let your ace rest another day so, even if you lose Game Four, you have him at full rest for Game Five, and then you're headed back to Cleveland.

They want the option of pitching Kluber in game 7.

Roberto Alomar should be invited on the field just to spit in Hirschbeck's face again.

Also, Francona with another quick hook on a starter. Works two ways. 1st if they can close it out in game 5 he has Tomlin on the ready for mop-up work, if he needs a game 6 starter he has Tomlin, and then of course there's game 7. Lot of options for him. Same goes for Maddon with Hendricks, but I've been really fascinated by Francona's strategy in particular.

Tomlin is a 5 inning pitcher even on his good days, Francona knows it well.

I'd say the fact that you all can't seem to buy a hit is a bigger issue than anything pitching related.

It's been a problem all post-season but the pitching has been superb. Bauer set them back from the get-go tonight and nothing else is working. It's just a lost game.

  7. Miller did a hell of a job working through those 2 innings considering he did not have his usual great command today. He is probably unavailable tomorrow (or at least limited) but that's to worry about tomorrow. 3 outs to go for Cody Allen.

Starting to feel like Chicago's adapting to Kluber, though some of those pitches were starting to sneak over the plate as opposed to painting outside.

Also, that elephant is definitely voiced by Cena.

Just as Lester had a chance to settle down...still, the Cubs are more than capable of overcoming three runs.

All they need is 2 more innings from Kluber and it's Miller/Allen the rest of the way. Good luck coming back against them.

You're in the World Series and he's not. Quit being butt-hurt over something that happened/didn't happen three months ago.

He will be an enemy in Cleveland for life.

  9. The two longest world series droughts in MLB facing off...perfect script. I think this could be a series for the ages. Having said that, I am very confident in the Indians due to homefield and the bullpen. They just need to get the lead to the 6th and the game is over, as was the case the first 2 rounds.

    Indians in 6

The Cubs' bats were due to wake up.  Could definitely see them doing well against Maeda tonight as well.  I do like that Kershaw will pitch Game 6 in a do-or-die game for one of the teams, that's the most intriguing outcome.

I have a feeling that the Indians, as great as they've looked, are going to have some troubles early on in the World Series.  2006 Tigers, 2007 Rockies, 2012 Tigers, 2015 Mets.  Having a long layoff before the World Series while your opponent only gets one or two days off really isn't an advantage in baseball.

I can see why you'd think that, but the Indians need the time off pretty badly to rest up their starting pitching. Bauer won't be needed until next Friday now at the earliest so his pinky can heal up, while Danny Salazar is likely to be on the WS roster as well, and the bullpen will be plenty well rested for the WS now. The time off is only going to help with the pitching, and it's not like the offense is doing much right now, either, so them cooling off isn't a worry.
