  1. TEW2013: Real World Update April 2013 - Converted From the TEW05 Mods made by cpt.charisma and TheWho87

Thanks to Eddie G, ScottHallLeg-end, No1Thuganomic, Geno90, iDOL and Hijo del Cloudy and also to people who post in the thread for helping out:

This is the pre wrestlemania edition: i will releasing a 2nd april update the week after wrestlemania in this thread: all the pic packs are new

    Here is the update: http://www.mediafire.com/?cla06na2c13ehe0

    People Pack: http://www.mediafire.com/?haocvp9v3a76rll

    PicPack (Logo/TV/Events/Etc):http://www.mediafire.com/?yciidcu37rk7xrl

The update will also appear here: http://www.ewwarehouse.info/

A few WWE notes: some overness adjusted, face/heel turns depending on the feuds (e.g. Big Show is a face for now as he is feuding with The Shield), starting storylines added. Also if someone could answer this for me, do WWE still use the brand split? i'm tempted to remove it as its pretty much the same people that appear on both brands, and its been happening for quite awhile now

Tips for people who complain about loading speed: there are 69 companies in the mod so if you want to speed the game up you can just go into the editor and delete a few of the smaller companies, this should help reduce loading times: if you choose not to do this, after about 3 weeks, loading time improves as the AI is finished with all the hiring/firing etc.

any problems feel free to post in the thread or send me a message

  2. Carrying this over from last month's updates:

Also, does Lucha Libre USA still exist? I can't find a show from them since May of last year.

They've got 9 shows lined up between now and the end of April, with the first being on April 12th in California. They're part of a tour of California/Texas/Illinois called the "United We Stand Tour", and it seems that the majority of their shows are done in the touring format now - so it might be best to change them to a "touring" company.

They've also added El Solar, Super Crazy, Hijo del Fantasma, and Melina (all tecnicos) to their roster.

Ok cool, touring sounds like a good idea to me

just an update so far, first thanks to everyone for posting the updates, ive been working through alot of worker profiles and just improving them, also im done abit of an overness update mainly for wwe and tna, update should be out Monday and then i will release a post wrestlemaina update aswell

  3. For the cosmetics, I'd like to have a look into the bios for workers. Some of them become a bit dated, i.e. lots of people have "currently works for..." references when they don't work at the companies anymore and it feels like a lot of them are filler with "is a good all rounder" for people who are abysmal but might be dragged to a decent grade in one factor. I'd like these to be looked at and more individual and maybe even detailed in a case that random generations are which are fairly basically put together but do add a bit to the world.

The bios definitely need to be gone through and given a more general vibe. Take out all of the references to what workers are doing at the moment, as those are dated within a short period of time within the game. I'd save the at the moment type stuff for the actual bio on the worker contract for each company should people really see a need for it. If you want cpt.charisma, I could start writing up some general bios for the WWE and TNA rosters to get started so you'd only have to copy and paste.

ALOT of the bios were done back in the TEW05 days, only ones that get updated really are the wwe, tna and roh ones, alot can also been seen under alter egos, but im always happy to update the bios the way Idol suggested

  4. Ok. Well, for starters i would put most of the WWE main eventers in the 80's level. Jericho would be 84, Big Show a maximum 82, Alberto Del Rio maybe 81 or 82, Ziggler no more then 80, maximum, CM Punk would be between 90-92, Lesnar between 88-90 and Cena at 95. The Rock would be a 100. Those are a few examples on how to handle them without exagerating the overness. TNA levels would have to be a lot lower as they are at maximum high level cult.

Is it just wwe and tna that are the problem? U do know this would then make the game possibly harder to play, but if people agree with lowering the overness I could give it a go and test it out to see how it goes

Thats the idea. As it is, the game is too easy to play. YOu just put two main eventers from the E and boom, there's an A* match out of nowhere. A* matches rarely happen, so the idea is to make the game harder, in order to be more realistic. Also, why do you have that many promotions and workers (some of which are rarely used, though right now i can't recall a specific example, but i'll look for it if needed) in your mod? I know that the more the merrier is good in teory, but the reality is that it makes the game super slow, with very hard and heavy loading times. A lot of people have complained about this issue, so it's not just me thinking this. Also, i don't think the problem with overness is only in WWE and TNA, but those are good examples for you to see how to lower it. As well as skills. Lower skills makes an A* match harder to happen. And they don't happen every week on real life.

Regarding the promotion and workers, most were built up from the TEW2005 games, and the rest where added on request, regarding loading times, i only play off a laptop with vista and yes week 1 takes some time but once u get going it seems ok to me. im currently in a tna game from the last mod, done over a year no problem

For overness on the workers side, this is the first time since the early TEW2010 mods people have spoke up about it, id like to hear input from a few more people before doing a mass overhaul, some people might actually be happy of how it is at the moment

I am also happy to adjust peoples stats who you think are either under/over rated in the game, but as Idol pointed out i do the updates because i enjoy playing the game and i want a real world version, but i do have a full time job, and a complete overness overhaul could take me awhile to do

  5. Ok. Well, for starters i would put most of the WWE in the 80's level.

  6. regarding overness, its based similar to the EWR way, if it was more based on real life then alot would be alot lower than they are

And that is your mistake. This is not EWR, it's TEW 2013. And the diference is big. Those are two completely diferent games, with separate mechanics and you can't base these values in the old ones of EWR. You need to work this values so they can fit this game.

Well feel free to suggest new overness levels

  7. i happy to add 5DW (a roster suggestion would also be helpful) im guessing thats a small size promotion - is colt the booker? if so it could stop people signing him to written deals

TCW - im fairly certain most the roster isnt in the game, which means alot of creating new workers with random stats, so if i have time i'll try to add it in

    Thanks man! Much appreciated!

From the first look I think you did fine job putting the promotions in order.

    Checked the roster for CZW and it looks great with just a couple of things to change;

    - Change Alexander James to Heel

    - Change Cherry Bomb to Heel.

    - I'd change Colin Delaney to lower midcarder or midcarder.

    - I'd change both Dave & Jake Crist to upper midcarders.

    - Not totally sure but I think Drake Younger and Adam Cole are faces.

    - Change Nicholas Kaye to Heel.

    - Change Corvis Fear to Heel

    - Change Ruckus to Heel

I'll edit this post if I see anything that should be changed in CZW.

Regarding pushes this is overness based, so u need to tell me if i need to improve or lower there overness for that area

  8. Thanks to everyone who posted in the Feb thread, here is the latest update

  9. I put together some popularities for American indy promotions. Some of the smalls might fall down to local, I'm not sure as I haven't tested it out yet. I'm pretty okay with those few being local anyway (the ones with the F+ popularity somewhere). Also, I'd delete UWF. We may want to think about adding $5 Wrestling, but I'm not familiar enough with the product to create anything for it.

Feel free to disagree, but this is how I think the popularity stats should be set up.

UWF is now deleted, and so far ive re-added NWE, and ive changed the overness for companies best on this list for now

MASADA was born in June 1981, not August 77.

Mark Andrews is set to Canadian - change to Welsh and tick British Isles and Europe as active.

James Wallace set to Inactive and tick law problems. He's a convicted paedo so I doubt we'll hear about him any time soon.

There are 2 Mark Andrews, Canadian and Welsh, since this data was built from the TEW05 we were working on together i'm pretty sure the on ine the data is the Canadian one.

    http://www.cagematch.net/?id=2&nr=6092&gimmick=Mark+Andrews+

Picture in your database is of the Welsh one, stats fit as well.

Well arguing that the picture is the same is irrelivant, what ever image you have in your folder that aligns to the Mark Andrews worker will show up, if the worker in the database is Canadian then I's assume its meant to be the Canadian Mark Andrews and I'd assume cpt.charisma made a mistake in the picture pack, so to change one legitimate worker for another because they share the same name is pretty pointless, if anything rename the Mark Andrews thats in the game to Mark Andrews (Canadian) and then make up the Welsh one.

Ive corrected the picture to the right person, it was the canadian one

also gonna tidy the overness for promotions in the rest of the world, but feel free to suggest changes

  10. As it stands the settings are roughly right, without even looking that closely I know a fair amount of people from these companies and the companies are known just as I see their names around. CZW probably couldn't draw for shit in the UK on their own but some of their people appearing on a UK indie show does get some interest from people and sell a few more tickets. Jigsaw has just been announced for a couple of UK shows in the next couple of months and again, despite Chikara being unlikely to draw there are people excited and picking up tickets just to see him.

Yeah, I don't have so much of a problem with companies like Chikara and CZW having national overness (though I think Chikara should definitely have more than CZW), but I don't see why companies like FWE should. The only indy companies I see as having national recognition are ROH, Chikara, PWG, CZW, and maybe Shimmer.

I'm not even sure if ROH needs to be cult. What would people think about them being the biggest regional promotion?

IMO Ring of Honor deserves to be cult, even though i'm not personally a fan of them by any means. They are by far the most well-known indy company out there and have been that way for ~10 years.

When it comes to national recognizion, ROH, Chikara, PWG, CZW, Shimmer AND maybe even DG-USA should have it.

any suggestions on overness then? im happy to change it if thats what people want

  11. Thank you to everyone for all your feedback

Here is the latest TEW2013 Update: http://www.mediafire.com/?b4lwt7d28d5k2q0

A new People PicPack which contains 200 new pictures for the Free Picture section (so some re-gens get a picture): http://www.mediafire.com/?8qmcqa063v2e32l

And the other picpack (TV/Logos/Events/Etc): http://www.mediafire.com/?964df8zzgczjo91

and the mod should appear here at some point: http://www.ewwarehouse.info/

When you start a game the following companies always need a booker, this is because the owner and booker are sometimes the same person, so if people know someone different to be the booker it would be very helpful and it may also stop a big talent taking a job so u cant sign to a written deal (Dreamer and Bret Hart are good examples of this), the companies are: FSW, NOAH, ASW, ZERO-1, DDT, BJW, Ice Ribbon, ER, IWRG, Dragon Gate, WSU, PBW, IWW, FWE, GPW, R-Pro, CWE, PCW, GSW, NWA-HL, XWA, Osaka Pro, K-Dojo, HWA, and PWA

Regarding WWE - Starting Storylines added, WWE Main Event i have left as a A show for now, seems to have 2 big matches every week in real life

Regarding TNA - I've seen all the 4 weeks spoliers but to keep the game in date, only the first week UK tapings are in this update

any problems feel free to PM me

  12. Hey Captain,

Nice mod, I freaking love it! I only got some questions for ya.

It is possible to get 2012 awards in the database, eras like Attitude Era, Reality Era and PG Era with their consequences on wrestling world? It could be realistic for our games.

Something good, but not that important, some Hall of Immortals inductees in the database.

    Thanks a lot, man.

For the Awards i normally get them from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pro_Wrestling_Illustrated_awards#Wrestler_of_the_Year and regarding the Hall of Immortals im happy to add more, who do you have in mind?

Going by the worker sizes listed in the TEW help document and the wrestler's current weight, here are some suggestions for fixes you could make:

    Mark Henry: super heavyweight

    Undertaker: heavyweight

    Drew McIntyre: middleweight

    The Rock: light heavyweight

    Brock Lesnar: light heavyweight

    Jack Swagger: light heavyweight

    Triple H: light heavyweight

    Roman Reigns: light heavyweight

    Wade Barrett: middleweight

    Steve Austin: middleweight

    CM Punk: lightweight

    Dean Ambrose: lightweight

    Dolph Ziggler: lightweight

    Daniel Bryan: lightweight

    Cody Rhodes: lightweight

A few of these might be debatable to some but if you go by the wrestler's current weight, then that's the real deal. Especially if you consider the fact that most of these are "WWE" weight declarations which are usually exaggerated by (in some cases, more than just) a few pounds.

Thanks for this, i shall change them up

  13. Thankyou everyone for the updates so far

The main reason I ask is i was doing new location file for TEW10 to be upgraded for this database and since the matches are another of those areas not really connected with other areas I could also do the same with that, update and improve well to TEW10 level anyway.

Location file is not the same, there is one extra bit called Reputation which is set to None for most, the higher the Rep the more companies use it

no working agreement it think! like i post in my wXw update

Cheers for the wXw update, should be sorted for next months update for you

if anyone wants to suggest popularity or stats adjustments, feel free to suggest, some workers may be over or under rated

  14. Hey captain. Love the mod.

Just wondering if anyone has ever seen WWE let christian go? I'm playing as TNA and really want him to come over.

In testing, WWE dont often let the big stars go, but you never know, they might if they fall to cult size

    - Allysin Kay needs to be added as an active worker

    - Santana Garrett needs to be added as an active worker

    - Evie needs to be added as an active worker

    - Leah Von Dutch needs to be added as an active worker

    - Kimberly needs to be added as an active worker

    - Jayme Jameson needs to be added as an active worker

    - Nikki Addams needs to be added as an active worker

    - Jon Harder needs to be added as a non-wrestler

(if you need stats for the (non)wrestlers I can make stats suggestions)

If you want workers added, suggestion on stats would be helpful, otherwise im just completely making it up without knowing who is good or bad

Well first of all, thanks for the hard work but I noticed some potential issues with existing contracts down the line - while perhaps realistic, the wages of some WWE workers are FAR too high and down the road it'll kill the company. Full fledge realism and TEW don't go along in the financial regard tbh.

In regards to wages there currently ALL left blank for every worker on the game
