  1. Biggest piece of a gay cliffhanger ever. ever. ever.

How the fuck do I wait until autumn to find out what happened with Suzaku/Lulu/Nunally.

Who the fuck is VV? Kallen better stay alive for longer. Is CC going to come back alive or what?

    Bring back Mao.

I don't handle this kind of suspense very well. <_<

  2. I don't like most black metal. The production kills it for me. Other than that, anything that happens to be on mainstream radio, I wouldn't go out of my way to listen. I prefer not to hate entire genres like some of you are doing (metal is more intricate than you guys think).

Oh, Nerf. Have some Quo Vadis. Silence Calls The Storm (right click, save) and tell me that is noise. You can disregard the vocals if you wish, but the rest is just mind-boggling.

  3. A'ight, let's resurrect this bitch up in here.

Year 2007 in metal so far - what are your thoughts on it? I've personally scored some great releases this year, but absolutely the rockingest have been Korpiklaani's "Tervaskanto" for some pretty obvious reasons, and Kronos' "The Hellenic Terror". I was pretty big on Vital Remains' "Icons Of Evil" earlier this year, but Kronos came and completely stamped their balls out on the brutal death metal front. Haven't heard Nile's most recent effort yet, though, so there might be some contest after all.

Haven't had a chance to check that many black metal releases this year - closest has been Behemoth's "The Apostasy", which totally rocks balls, and Marduk's "Rom 5:12" which was a slight disappointment for me especially because the last album was pretty fucking great. Also speaking of disappointments, what the fuck happened to Leng Tch'e? Three brutal and innovative grind releases and then comes "Marasmus", which was just a pile of Belgian crap. Probably the biggest letdown in consistency any band has ever made.

Also, Immortal are going to release a new album next year. Hot diggity damn.

  4. Three/four years ago, I liked Papa Roach. It was around the time they released Getting Away With Murder. Of course then I was into Linkin Park and stuff like that too. Scars was a song that really stood out for me. I really liked it, and till today I can still remember the lyrics, if only because I heard the song way too often back then. It's easily recognizable. I didn't give much of a listen to The Paramour Sessions though, because my tastes in music had already changed by then.

  5. Unleashed are a must. They're very groovy death metal, plus they sing about vikings too so they're right up an Amon Amarth fan's alley.

You might also check out the whole viking/folk metal thing and bands like Týr, Ensiferum, Turisas, Falkenbach, Agalloch and Primordial.

  6. Well, judging from your tastes you wouldn't like anything too harsh. Something like Insomnium could work (pretty harsh vocals, but it's melodic death metal). Get their latter two albums, I don't really like their first one tbh.

Songs: The Day It All Came Down, Bereavement, Daughter Of The Moon, Black Waters, pretty much every song on Above The Weeping World.

They're one of my favourite bands, which is pretty funny considering most of the stuff I listen to is br00tal death.

  7. Cephalic Carnage rule all, that is all.

Well, that, and to recommend thier old album Anomalies and thier new one, Xenosapien.

I've got the new Akercocke, just not had a chance to listen to it yet.

  8. A great female singer would be Jo Enckell of The Project Hate. The songs where she's the only one singing (Weep, Loveless, Godless, Flawless) are amazing. If you don't like growling, I'd recommend you just check those two aforementioned songs out. Otherwise, their later two albums has her vocals.

  9. I don't see the appeal of A Tout Le Monde tbh. Perhaps it's because I don't really listen to Megadeth, but the song doesn't do much for me. The female vocals are okay, so are the solos, but that's it. The rest is boring.
