  1. A couple of months ago, I was watching TSN (Canada's version of ESPN, complete with SportsCentre) and I was shocked to see professional wrestling on the channel. :o I mean, seriously: at least dominoes, chess, Japanese Viking Challenge and the once-ubiquitous spelling bees are actual competitions. If you really think about it, So You Think You Can Dance deserves to be on ESPN more than pro wrestling, as it is both a competition and display of athletics, as opposed to simply being a choreographed athletic display.

  2. You know what would make this diary better? A writer that knows how to punctuate properly, formulate cohesive sentences, and format paragraphs to make them easy to read. Lacking that, some basic proof-reading by someone who does have a solid command of the english language would be an asset. I usually don't let form affect my judgement of function. In this case, however, I have no idea what you're saying, so I have no idea if your ideas are any good.

  3. I'm liking where this is going. I've been a big fan of Siaki for a while, and am looking forward to a potential Morgan/Maven vs Waltman/Siaki match. (On a side note: I can't believe I just said I was looking forward to a match involving Maven.) With those four men, plus hopefully Vampiro in the ME scene, things are looking good. The undercard is all right, but I think the Sydal/Hart/Evans spot fests will get old pretty quickly. Human Tornado's character is great, although it could use less references to being a pimp.

On the flip side, you seem to forget what you've already wrote. On the first show, the Maven Effect was a chinlock backbreaker, and the Drop of Xtacy was an elevated DDT. On the second show, however, they were a tornado DDT and a Rydeen Bomb, respectively. Whatup wit dat?

  4. What about Princess Zelda? You could do a whole double-identity thing with her and Sheik. Perhaps one of the wiser and impartial characters in the LoZ saga: Raru from OoT, King Hyrule or, my favourite -- Tingle! Imagine Tingle as commish! Smell the ratings!

Or a tyrannical Ridley from the Metroid series would also be cool.

  5. I've got to say that I'm liking this diary so far. Results are to the point, but not too short. Somewhat predictable booking, however. I'm not to familiar with JAPW, so I can't comment on the similarities mentioned above. All in all, a good start.

  6. Block C action:

-Christopher Daniels vs. Teddy Hart - MOTN

    -Kevin Steen vs. Chris Sabin

    -Paul London vs. Nigel McGuinness

    -Damian vs. Azrieal

    Block D action:

    -CM Punk vs. Super Dragon

    -Nate Webb vs. Alex Shelley

    -Jimmy Rave vs. Beef Wellington

    -Mike Quackenbush vs. Brandon Thomaselli

  7. Well maybe its his version of a 'Better' WWE. Would u complain if say, a hell in a cell match was annouced for Raw next week in real life?

He asked for people to post what they thought about the story. I posted it. He wants a HIAC match on RAW. I do not. Throwing around a HIAC match lessens the impact of a HIAC. More HIAC matches would, in my opinion, not make the WWE better. It would make it even more stale than it already is. Remember when cage matches were devestating? When the chair shot was crippling? They could still be those things if we saw fewer cage matches and chair shots. For further reading, see my forthcoming book: Christmas Every Day.

  8. Well, I must say I didn't read much of your diary. But the part I did read,

Tomorrow night on Monday Night RAW, you are going to be put in a HELL IN A CELL MATCH Elimination Style Match against 3 other surprise opponents!

is more than enough. There is no way in hell that WWE would have a 4-way HIAC on RAW. Do you even watch WWE? If this is indicitive of your new storylines, I will not be reading.

However, I will give you a couple of shows before I render my final verdict. Good luck.

  9. To be honest, the only reason I decided to check out this diary was because of the "All-Canadian" in the name of the fed. Unfortunately, when the first name announced was Luger, my enthusiasm died. And when Vader, Sting, DDP, and Lil' Spike showed up, all hope for recovery from the Luger blow also died. Perhaps I'm just old school, but with a fed named "All-Canadian" wrestling, promoting shows only in Canada, shouldn't the roster be All-Canadian? There's plenty of very good Canadian talent out there, remaining nationally obscure due to a lack of big-name promotions north of the beef- and lumber-less border. In fact, most the Canadian feds are so low on the wrestling radar that, while very solid and deserving, most of our local wrestlers get left off the major databases in favor of large Japanese fighting octopi. But that's a different rant for a different thread.

And I thought Vader, Luger and Sting had pretty much retired from wrestling. Why would they return to the ring for some small-time Canadian fed being booked by a guy who hates his job and hates wrestling?

  10. Sorry for earlier, its just that usually when someone new comes in and bashes a graphic, it's a bitter banned member trying to hide themselves.

No worries. I totally understand where you're coming from. And I apologize if my criticism came across as harsh, but if I dislike something I'm not going to mince words.

EDIT: And I may be new to posting on this board, but I've been around for several years. Just ask Summers.

  11. You assume correctly.

That's so very, very cool. There's at least one familiar face here.

EDIT: And pertaining to the thread topic: I don't think its really supposed to be anything. Its not one of those stupid Magic Eye things. Paidy just created something, and wanted to know how others felt about it. There is no one right answer, take whatever you want from it. But I don't think Paidy wants me to speak for him/her, so that's just my opinion.

  12. A randomly thrown together assemblage of elements by someone who should learn that more is not always better. Remove the snow and the stains and you have a decent jumping off point for something less ridiculous and haphazard. But nothing more.

    At least that's my opinion.

I'm sorry, which double account did you say you were?

You asked what we thought it was. And I told you what I thought it was. I just figured you wanted us to be honest. I guess you only wanted us to praise your skillz. My bad.

  13. A randomly thrown together assemblage of elements by someone who should learn that more is not always better. Remove the snow and the stains and you have a decent jumping off point for something less ridiculous and haphazard. But nothing more.

    At least that's my opinion.
