  1. So apparently Chad's argument started because they came home from the grocery store and his wife found a box of condoms in with everything else. Not to make light of the situation but holy shit how dumb can you be.

Dumb enough to change your last name to "Ochocinco"

  2. Yeah. Plus the real reason Philly didn't riot after Game Six is because Philly fans really don't give as much a shit about hockey. The Flyers are more or less like the Sixers. Sure they have their diehards, but the majority of the fans don't care because either the Eagles are playing, or the Phillies are playing, at some point of the season.

Oh, Philly fans don't care about hockey? You need to get your head checked. The Sixers have sucked for almost a decade now, and that's why we don't care about them. You get people still talking about Iverson. The Flyers on the other hand, are certainly more cared about than the Sixers.

I know this link is from a few year back, but even then, the Flyers fans cared more about the Sixers.

    My link

Yeah, the Flyers are beating the Sixers in attendence and ratings. Minnesota and Washington were the only other two cities to have more NHL fans than NBA fans. Want to try again about the Flyers being more or less like the Sixers?

  3. I have to tip my hat to the Vancouver fans in attendance, though. The last ten seconds of the game they gave their boys a standing ovation. Had it been in Philadelphia, you would have had morons trying to get on the ice, swearing at their players, and throwing everything and anything at their own team. Of course, comparing any fans to Philly fans will make them look like Saints, but still, thought that was rather classy.

Good thing they lost in OT last year, didn't give them the chance to act like morons.

Yeah, the Flyers fans must have missed that last year, since you know, they lost the Stanley Cup. Those riots were intense!

Oh, wait, there weren't any riots? No one got arrested after Game 6, and no one burned anything? Boy, that must make Vancouver look really bad. I mean, it's not like any other city has ever done anything wrong, like having fans run onto the field and attack a first base coach, or throwing something at a player like Ron Artest that caused him to run into the stands, or having the NYPD have to come onto the field to restore order after A-Rod slapped the ball out of a pitcher's glove.

Grow up. Every city has fans that are assholes. Apparently, since Philadelphia fans booed Santa over 40 years ago, that makes us the worst. These things happen in every city, but only Philly gets a bad rap.

  4. The best part of this season isn't that the Phillies are 5-1 and have scored 43 runs without Chase Utley and Jayson Werth, it's that the Red Sox are 0-6. Watching Boston fans panic this early makes my day. Terry Francona can't just set a lineup and sit back now, regardless of how many people think he's the best manager in Boston history.

The bastard couldn't manage his way out of a paper bag in Philadelphia! I could have won a World Series in 2004 with that Boston team, considering half of them were on the juice.

  5. We're 10 minutes (and a miraculous comeback) away from me having to root for the Earth to split in half directly under Heinz Field and swallow up everyone in the stadium in the middle of the game next week <_<

You and me both. Although, the last time I tried that, the Metrodome roof collapsed. Maybe I can do it again.

  6. The Principal and the Pauper (9) - Before you ask: the sheer balls of the writers to do such an episode, that it's based off a true story, and is really funny made me consider this.

That one really should have been on my honorable mentions. It's so much better than it gets credit for. Do yourself a favor and watch this episode with the DVD commentary sometime.

Another I should have had on my honorable mentions list? The Last Temptation of Krust. "Top of the line in utility sports, unexplained fires are a matter for the courts! CANYONERO!"

I should have responded to this sooner. I still quote that episode. "They drove a dumptruck full of money up to my house!! I'm not made of stone!!"

  7. Caught and tamed War. Awesome damn horse. Just downloaded it tonight, and already cleared out Blackwater, McFarland's Ranch and Armadillo. Did the missions there as well, and now I'm moving on to the other missions that are needed. So far, it's awesome.

  8. Phillies and AL East? 2009 against Yankees, 2008 against Rays, 1993 against Jays, probably faced the Red Sox and Orioles in the past?

That's the one. They faced the Yankees in 2009 and 1950, the Rays in 2008, the Jays in 1993, the Orioles in 1983 and the Red Sox in 1915. Save for the World Series in 1980 against the Royals, it's always been against the AL East.

  9. Damn Cowboys. I hate them. Anyway...

We'll switch over to baseball for this one. Only one team in Major League history has faced every member of a single division in their World Series appearances. Which team is it, and which division have they faced off against?

  10. The only thing more annoying than the constant reporting of "Michael Vick has signed with the Eagles" is the constant media blowjob of the New England Bradys.

Steve Young was practically ready to bend over and take Brady's schlong and essentially declaring the Pats the Super Bowl champs already. I'd hate for someone to break it to them that...it's the preseason. If Brady had played like shit they'd all be saying "Well it's early and it's only one game."

Also, the Eagles defense looked awful. I'm sure that helped Brady look OMGAMAZING!

    Fucking ESPN.

Also their production staff was AWFUL during the Steelers/Cardinals game. TONS of mistakes. I know it's the preseason but dammit have some respect for yourselves ESPN.

I realize that what Vick did was terrible but he has paid his dues. I know dog fighting is really bad but at the same time other players have done bad things too. I guarantee that next season when Stallworth comes back that he will be welcomed with open arms. No one will have anything bad to say about him. There have been a lot of others that have been in trouble with the law. Ray Lewis got in trouble over a Super Bowl weekend involving a gun and a shooting but he was welcomed back. No one said anything about what he did and let it go. Every one deserves a second chance.

Driving while drunk is bad enough, but I don't think Stallworth got into his car and decided to kill a man. Premeditating the torture and murder of numerous animals is pretty high up there on the "that's fucked up!" list. Other than killing people or raping children and/or women there really isn't anything else that's more disturbing. Torturing animals is a trait you look for in serial killers. Being stupid after having too many drinks isn't.

P.S. I think Stallworth is a piece of shit just to be fair.

Wait, you mean ESPN is choking on what Tom Brady did in the FIRST PRESEASON GAME of the 2009 season? Where have you been? Everything that Tom Brady does is important, or haven't you been watching ESPN since 2003? It's not like the Patriots lost their last playoff game with Brady starting...oh, they did? Well, sound the alarm!

I agree with naiwf about Stallworth and Vick. Stallworth was drunk, and as someone with a DUI now on their record, that's not something you're proud of. However, you don't have complete control over the situation then, and I'm sure Stallworth, no matter how drunk/high/whatever, decided to kill a man before he drove. Vick knew what he was doing, and did it. I'm not going to cheer for Vick, no matter what he does. You can quote me on that, and I'm an Eagles fan.

  11. I'll ignore the fact that you said the Eagles aren't very good, but Donte Stallworth just got suspended for at least this season, so saying he didn't get punished by the NFL is completely false.

Now, as an Eagles fan, I don't like this move. Not that it doesn't give another weapon to a very potent offense, but I just don't like Vick. I didn't like him before the dogfighting, I didn't like him during the whole thing, and I still don't like him. It's just a personal thing more than anything else. Something about him, even now, doesn't sit right with me.

  12. I've watched every season so far, and this was the best season premiere yet. They've got the usual few with talent, and then the rest that will be entertaining and get filtered out as they get closer and closer to the end, but it seems more entertaining than it usually is. Plus, they had...

J.P. getting in the Texan's face, then owning him at the end of their fight by letting him out the door, and saying "ladies first." You know he won't be long for the show, and neither will the Marine, who I expect to get kicked off very quickly next week. You don't challenge Gordon Ramsay to a fight, on his show, and expect to stay around very long.
