  1. The Netherlands winning proves a couple of things. First, any team with Jose Reyes on it will never win anything, ever. Second, the rest of the WBC field clearly needs to watch out for the Dutch. I don't know how, but they can handle the Dominicans, so they must be doing something right. That, or the Dominicans just didn't take this seriously and deserved to get knocked out early.

That has to be one of the most moronic statements ever made regarding sports on this board.

Do you understand sarcasm? Because I was laying it on pretty thick there.

  2. Look, if I knew what the Eagles were doing right now, I'd tell you. It's one thing to not want to sign any of the players that are out in free agency, aside from Psycho Shawn Andrews' brother and a guy from Cleveland. It's another to not resign ANY of the players that are leaving the team via free agency. Philly just lost both their bookend tackles and their emotional leader in one free agency span. This does not spell good things for the team in 2009, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Donovan ask for a way out sometime soon.

As for the guy that got fired because of Facebook...this is why I don't post anything about my job there. I hate where I work now, but at least I've got a job, and that's all my boss needs to know.

  3. I really don't get the format of this tournament

Watching Holland - PR yesterday it said loser gets eliminated..

Than I come in here and see Holland beat DR to go through to the next round.. looking at the WBC website I find out Holland have to play PR again.. what the hell can somebody explain just how this tournament works ?

I don't think I ever saw where it said the loser of the Netherlands/P.R. game was knocked out. It's a double elimination tourney, at least in the first round. The next matchup is to determine the #1 seed coming out of that Pool. The winner of that game faces the loser of the rematch between USA/Venezuela, while the loser gets, more than likely, the USA. I'm not sure I agree with the way the whole thing is being played out, as Korea beat Japan TWICE in the past WBC, but Japan ended up winning the whole thing, but I can't fight it.

  5. Just got back from seeing this tonight. Compared to the other Friday the 13th movies, this is very good. Pretty much everything I have to say about it has already been said in here, but I still thought it was good. I did like that they made Jason able to run and actually think in this one, and they've definately got the scene set for a run of sequels again.

Oh, and Willa Ford water skiing topless=Win.

  6. That show was awesome in the time it was on, and not just for the fact that I actually got to try out for it.

Never did get a callback, though, even though I know I could have been better than some of the jackasses that got on there...

Come to think of it, that show did suck!:rolleyes:

  7. On the Outkast "Hey Ya" subject, I remember it was number one for a few weeks, but I can't really remember them putting it on the plinth its on now at the time and don't really get why it is on the plinth it is on now.

I can't speak for the other side of the pond but in the US that was the song of 2003.
