  1. They were humiliated against Hercules , but it wasn't 3/4 because of the lack of talent . In Camp Nou , at the City Anniversary.

Spain lost 2-0 to USA , they neutralized the spanish side and used well of their few counter attacks to beat 'em

    Spain lost 4-1 to Argentina.

    Spain lost 4-0 to Portugal.

Scotland scored twice against Spain ( how can someone let Scotland score TWO GOALS? Even the U23 Brazil managed a clean sheet )

I'm relating Barcelona to Spain because it's 60% of the Barça Squad and has the same playing style.

  2. You need a midfielder who is disciplined to sit back, make a hard challenges and break up the play

Not at all , not at all ...

Y'know , I may not like Barcelona because I think they play the ball too much to the sides , and when they face a team that has the counter-attack as weapon , they lose in humiliating fashion , same thing to Spain...

But they're the closest example to what Total Football was back in 1974 , where players could switch positions regularly...

In the defensive midfield , you have Sergio Busquets , a young man that has good heading skills , runs well with the ball and oftenly goes up in the attack , and he plays in the SAME POSITION as Tioté , so I guess , if a team can't have a player like Tioté on their starting 11 , leave it the same , because It wouldn't do no good. Unless your team plays with all the 11 players behind , they might be fine.

  3. Do you get to actually watch many Newcastle games? To me, even Match of the Day highlights show Tiote is far more than overly agressive with a powerful shot. The thing I like about him is that he's tireless, I can't remember the last Newcastle player that put the same amount of effort into each game. If anything he's too eager to win the ball back in midfield, and that's what's getting him so many yellow cards.

In my opinion , effort is something that every player should have , and if one doesn't , then he shouldn't be playing soccer otherwise , and that's why I don't consider It a good point from Tioté , because if he has so much energy , he's so eager ... I've seen many ''eager'' players injury skillful athletes and put them on the sidelines for months...

  4. Okay, but how is that Pardews fault, barring throwing Tiote on late on against Stevenage that saw him suspended for Sunderland and Spurs

I called him Ivorian Nigel De Jong because of that sending off , several yellow cards he gets because of lenient refereeing , and a powerful shot , which is , in my opinion , his only good point.

  5. But for injuries to Carroll, Best, Ireland, Ben Arfa and Ameobi and suspensions for Nolan, Tiote and Barton we'd be even safer than we already are

That's what I'm talking about , Newcastle would be fighting for spots in Europe if such things didn't happen!

We could actually mount up a decent FA campaign , well ... but then, we had that loss and ...

  6. His argument was nonsensical before he called Cheick Tiote a clogger, now its beyond ridiculous. Can we please ignore him and stop tarring us with the 'deluded' brush again. I'd have been happy with 17th this year, 9th is fucking amazing.

Then we wonder ... why England has only won a World Cup ... if they could rate players better ...

  7. First of all, Newcastle being relegated was just CRAP. We had a fantastic team, a team that could go on and get a spot in the Europa League and then, we get some crappy managers and go down to the Championship! But, hey ... alright, we'll bounce back, we still have a very good team, we can win the Championship.

That actually happened, Championship was very easy for us and with that campaign, I was looking for a mid-table spot.

Came the 3-0 loss against Man Utd, I wasn't sad at all, I knew the team had few bright players... but then we beat Villa 6-0, and get to do a very good first half of the season, that lit the hopes of an European spot for the following season . Then Chris Hughton was fired and I was like ''WTF? The team was doing just fine!'', and came Alan Pardew . At first I trusted him, the critics were bashing him, and I hope that he would shut 'em up. Yes, he did it indeed, he made a good substitution taking Ameobi out and putting Ranger, as the young kid gave fire to the team and the Geordies won 3-1. Carroll was bought by Liverpool in the last day of the winter transfer season, and Newcastle knew they would actually fall down a little bit , but not what Pardew did! Losing to Villa? Fine. Epic 4-4 against Arsenal? Good. Losing 4-0 to Stoke? We can deal with that. Losing to Fulham? Hey, win some. Losing 3-1 to STEVENAGE BOROUGH? NO! Pardew won less than 30% of Newcastle's games since he took over , compared to ( not accurate value ) Hughton's 40% or something like that.

    It's deception after deception... :crying:

  8. The mainstream critics in Brazil rate Andy Carroll and Theo Walcott as future stars.

95% of the underground critics rate Dan Gosling as a future star. ( many of them also rate many other players like Taarabt , Sinclair , Hazard , Jake Rodwell , Sturridge , etc. )

English fans may like Tioté more because of the tradition from English football for being fast-paced and hard-hitting.

But Brazil , Argentina , Spain ( countries that focus more on the technical part of soccer )

They're more used to those defensive midfielders that can work out plays , like Joey Barton , or Ramires , or Xavi ( Xavi plays regularly on the center midfield , but he's also defensive ) , and the list goes on.

I consider Tioté a bad player because of my culture , and you , because of your culture , disagree with me. We can argue for centuries about whether Tioté is good or not , and we'll never reach a point where both of us are satisfied , because there are two sides of the coin , I defend one side , you defend the other.

  9. Ranger is raw , but he is only 19 , he needs to start games! The 3-1 against Liverpool was a fine exhibition , he gave fire to Newcastle! He's quite quick , and has displayed lots of talent in the reserves . Okay , playing in the reserves is WAY different from playing in the seniors , but It's better than what Ameobi would do.

Best actually scored 6 goals in 10 games , and in these 10 games , It was all about him , Nolan and a few Lovenkrands spots.Funny fact is , if Best scores a hat-trick against a team fighting for relegation , he's AVERAGE. If Carroll scores a hat-trick against a team fighting for relegation , he's GREAT . That's the only thing I don't like about the critics . They overrate too much the english talent and other UK/Irish players do almost the same thing and they just play in mid-table teams.

Ireland was a starting 11 in City before the $$$$$$$$$$ era , and if he starts against Blackpool , I think he might do OK.

I heard Gosling already recovered , so .... why can't we take out the Ivory Coast Nigel De Jong and put him?

My bad about the Wolves result , I tought it was 2-1.

Not that I think Andy Carroll was bad , but the team wasn't 100% HIM. He was only the man to put the ball inside or make some headed passes from corners .What if Joey Barton didn't give Carroll lots of assists? What if Jonas never did some nice individual plays and passed the ball to Carroll? He would be compared to Kenwyne Jones.

You can't just lose some easy games and blame it on the missing attacker , because the team is composed of 11 players , not 1.

  10. Best is a fine striker , Pardew had him for a damn nice time before the ankle injury.

Stephen Ireland already recovered from his injury , he's quite a good midfield player , and can also play as a striker

Nile Ranger needs experience , but if damn Pardew trusted him , he could be a Premier League level striker.

Some football critics here in Brazil consider Dan Gosling a player that , if put on the starting 11 regularly , can become an England international.

  11. Well , let's take a look at what happened with Hughton :

    He beat Arsenal

    He drew with Chelsea

    He beat Wolves away

Most of his losses weren't in St.James Park

So , what I mean is ... if Hughton stayed , We could've been in 6th , fighting for a spot in the Europa League , not watching out for relegation. Before the Wolves win , we were 4 POINTS away from relegation zone , It wasn't that good , and If we had lost that game , what happened? We would be ONE POINT away.

Pardew's not doing a good job , and I'm just waiting for the next season to come , because I can't stand Ameobi in the offense , we need a better striker , buy that Sinclair kid from Swansea , he looks fine.

Tomorrow we'll play against Blackpool , so , if we lose that one , I want Pardew out.
