  1. Update the Japanese touring commitments. I found a great list of each Japanese company in 1998 and who was touring, but I lost it... going to try to find it on my PC and make those changes. Also going to replace Japanese promotions that didn't exist in 1998 with ones that did (so instead of Zero-One, NOAH, and Wrestling's Marvelous Future you'd have RINGS, FMW, etc.)

This probably sounds very noobish but I didn't know you could replace the names of Japanese feds. Could someone tell me how you do this? (I'm pretty sure it's not in the ingame editor is it?)

  2. I was thinking of suggesting Mark Hunt (who worked a tag team match in HUSTLE and made some apperances) and Kevin Randleman (teamed with Mark Coleman in HUSTLE) to be added as well as I like having people in the game with reasonable overness and that aren't currently on any contracts. Below are the basic stats, if someone wanted to add Over, Brawl, Speed, Tech feel free, from the feedback about Cro Cop mine are too biased.

    Name: Mark Hunt

    Short Name: Hunt

    Age: 36 (March)

    Stiff: 84

    Sell: 40

    Charisma: 50

    Attitude: 90

    Behaviour: 90

    Tick: Shooting, Menacing, Trainer

    Wage: $85,000

    Speaks, Other Nationality

Finishers: Right Hook, Left Hook (Impact)

    Name: Kevin Randleman

    Short Name: Randleman

    Age: 38 (August)

    Stiff: 76

    Sell: 55

    Charisma: 60

    Attitude: 90

    Behaviour: 90

    Tick: Shooting, Trainer

    Wage: $65,000

    Speaks, American

Finishers: Randleman Slam, either the same or maybe TKO? (both impact)

  3. A pro wrestling brawl is not the same as an MMA striking exhibititon, I'd put Cro Cop's brawl-speed-tech closer to 70-10-35.

My stat is arguably a bit off, I compared Cro Cop to Tito Ortiz, who in the game has about a 74 for brawl. I think it's fair to say that Cro Cop's striking in MMA (which would translate to brawling) is much better than Tito Ortiz's who, and I could be wrong on this, hasn't actually done anything physical in pro wrestling beyond one punch to Jeff Jarrett.

No way should Mirko's overness be 80, either. I'd go with 55 max.

At UFC 103 Mirko was in the co main event and was arguably the most popular fighter on the card. It's buyrate was 375,000. Around the same time WWE bragging rights was on which received 169,000 buyrates and featured Punk, Taker, Orton, Cena etc. How is 55 overness justified?

  4. Is Mirko Cro Cop's brief foray with HUSTLE enough to get him into the next database? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2KrvlAUk-wY&feature=related

    If so stats could be:

    Full name: Mirko Filipovic

    Short name: Cro Cop

    Age: 35 (born September)

Brawl: 86 (striking is mostly all he does, he's good at it and people pop for each strike)

    Speed: 29

    Tech: 40

    Stiff: 93

    Sell: 45

    Over: 80

    Charisma: 33

    Attitude: 90

    Behaviour: 85

    Tick: Shooting, Menacing, Trainer

    Wage: $155,000

    Speaks, European

Finishers: Right Leg Hospital, Left Leg Cemetery

  5. If someone is able to add 'USA' to the side of this PRIDE text (I'm thinking sort of like the DG-USA logo) and put it on kyky as an in-game logo and banner, I'd be very grateful.

    pridewrst.jpg

Could I please get this done or get a quick explanation on how to cut this (I find it really hard as the logo is similar to the background). Much appreciated.

  6. Not sure how volunteering workers to be added goes, but how about:

Erik Hammer (29 y.o April, Heavyweight, American)

    B 77

    S 14

    T 74

    S 65

    S 60

    0 22

    C 56

    A 89

    B 85

Tick shooting and menacing (he's like 6'6" plus and 300 pounds).

Finishes I've seen are Anaconda Choke, Heel hook or just head kicks/kick combos

Works for IGF and is trained by/protege of Josh Barnett (who he should have loyalty to)

Laptop won't let me paste images but here's a link to a pic of him:

  7. This is easier to justify my case now I have EWR in front of me.

TheWho87: That's fair enough and I agree he does lack that smooth transition from one move to the next that Angle and Danielson have mastered after years of training/matches. However, IMO he displays greater technical proficiency in his pro wrestling matches than Don Frye (tech 73 9I think this should be a 75)) Dan Severn (70) and Ken Shamrock (76) by a reasonable amount that should earn him an 80 if not higher. In the end I'm not the one who updates so from here, I'll rest my case.

  8. Would it be fair to say that Josh Barnett should have a massive rise in tech? The guy is well versed in catch wrestling to the point that he can enter Brazillian Jiu Jitsu competitions and beat black belts. In fact he was awarded his black belt in BJJ because of this. He probably knows more submissions than I've had hot dinners plus can bust out some nice looking suplexes in his pro wrestling matches. Just thinking that Severn always had a super high tech rating so why shouldn't Barnett?

Never heard or seen any of his matches, You should say what a better tech would be for him

Well based on his knowledge, I'd say it should be over 80 (personally I'd like to see it between 84-88 as I believe he could hang with ). If it was based against Dan Severn, who I believe used to have a 92 tech, I'd give Barnett a 93 or 94 but that may have been from a different source of updates so that may a bit high. As a reference www.mmacore.com rate his grappling as a 9.2 and submissions as a 9.1 out of 10 whereas Dan Severn has a 8.8 grappling, 6.8 submissions.

I'd say give him 65 technical. MMA is NOT the same as pro-wrestling with grappling. All this would do is make him a shooter.

Really? He is arguably the best active catch wrestler around today. Pro wrestling in the States derived from catch wrestling (J.R used to even get excited and mention catch as catch can when guys like Benoit and Angle were putting on a technical clinic), thus they use many of the same moves. So shouldn't a guy that is highly proficient in catch wrestling (where moves like the sleeper hold, cross arm breaker, seated armbar, Indian deathlock and keylock originated (credit: wiki)) be given a decent tech rating?

hmm.gif I feel bad I want so many, but really struggle to Photoshop these backgrounds out

join and download them, their all pre cut so just the people in them

Really?! Sweet, thanks man. Looks like I'm going to be busy.

  12. Love the stats update and my query isn't a biggie as I can just tweak the stats for my own game once downloaded, but the way brawling is determined seems a little strange. For instance, Davey Richards is at 74 and KENTA is at 71 for brawling yet both are more than capable of delivering lengthy, stiff and entertaining periods of striking in their matches (head kicks, spin kicks, forearms, flying knees etc.). Then we have someone like Braindamage with a high 80/low 90 brawl stat who, when not using various 'plunder' is likely to be delivering stiff, entertaining, but fairly limited strikes (straight jabs, hooks, boots to face etc.). Are KENTA and Davey's entertaing striking being rewarded partially in the speed stat, is Braindamage scoring so high because of the more hardcore elements in his matches or am I overlooking something altogether?

  13. I like it, I didn't know you'd be able to clear the writing from over the hood so well. Perhaps have Naoya Ogawa where he is and the logo where it is but get rid of the white flag and existing background and just put something KYKYish (the KYKY backround or something similar), banner size for EWR would be appreciated. Also can that pic of Naoya be made into a KYKY too?

Thanks so much, it's very much appreciated having someone fulfill an idea that would otherwise be hindered by my photoshop skills.

After making it I thought "What banner is he after? The In game banner, or a banner for a diary?"

So in the end I made both

    Diary-Style Banner:

    2pru1dy.jpg

    In Game Internet Banner:

    5etys6.jpg

    Thoughts etc???

Sorry meant in game, although if I like the scenario I've created I may try a diary, so all up good work! Thanks so much!

  14. I would love it if someone could make the below into a banner:

    http://i94.photobuck...-NaoyaOgawa.jpg

and put the INOKI part of the following over the Japanese writing (just the INOKI, not the Antonio Debut 50 etc.)

    http://s826.photobuc...rrent=INOKI.png

Maybe like as a scroll thing, like how RockyFeller has his name covering the girl in his sig?

This seems like it could be a lot of work so if it's too much feel free to pass. Thanks!

(Also sorry for just having links, for some reason my laptop won't let me put the pics into the post)

I've still got the project saved so let me know of any changes you want made.

I haven't resized the original either so let me know if you want me to resize it too.
